Lost Wallet with Credit Cards and Drivers License Returned, Cape Cod,Harwich, Yarmouth, Hyannis,Falmouth,

While out in the waters of Cape Cod, I found a wallet that was a surprise to see in my scoop. It had a metal card to Apple inside. A license, and many credit cards. When Rick and I got home, the very first thing we did, was to check for a match on Facebook. It triggered a fast response from Beth, the owner, as I talked with her about how, when, and where she lost her wallet, I knew I had to get it back ASAP. We asked if she was still on Cape Cod, she replied no, that she had gone home last week.

This is her statement about how she thinks it was lost.As we got out of the car we entered the beach area and made a hard right. We kept walking till we saw a sign saying Private Beach Area. We turned around, I was picking up seashells along the way close to the waters edge. When we got back to the beach where we entered, we made the obligatory Sun Appreciation spot halfway up on the dunes. I changed out of my shorts, that I thought had my wallet. We were there about 45 minutes, packed up,and walked to the jetty and then back to the car. My wallet must have fell out of my pocket as I reached for the shells. It was very windy, and the waves crashing didn’t help. We never heard it fall.We searched high and low multiple times for the next day or so. Car,Beach,Path, Sand, Nothing.

North Beach (LBI) NJ Lost Wedding Ring recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder September 2022

Tom called today, he told me he lost his wedding ring while at the beach at North Beach, (LBI) New Jersey. Tom said the ring was in his hand, and he fell asleep in the chair, when he woke up the ring was no where to be found. We arranged a meeting time, and discuss the details of the search. He asked me how likely I was to find his ring, and I told him 100% providing the ring is where he says it is. When I arrived we walked down to the location, and in less than three minutes the ring was in my scoop. Tom was amazed I was able to find it that fast. Ring Returned on Harwich Cape Cod, MA Beach

A year had passed since wedding vows were exchanged on a small footbridge and today another emotional moment took place just over the same footbridge, a cherished wedding band was “lost” in the sand. A very stressful hour passed with many hands helping in the search the sand for the ring. A few calls had been made one to the police, one to the beach superintendent two to my wife, Jane, who finally got in touch with me. I had been out detecting and was on my way home. That segment of the trip would have to wait, I was now on my way south, not west to my home. At this point I was unsure just which beach I needed to end up at. Jane relayed messages between Catherine the beach’s gate attendant, Sarah, and me. I arrived at the beach with a big sign telling me were to find Sarah, thanks to Catherine’s foresight as the beach was about to close for the evening.

Sarah had removed her rings to apply sunscreen lotion, putting the rings safely in her pants pocket. Lotion applied, it was the removal and folding of her pants when her engagement ring fell from the pocket into a beach bag, The wedding band did not follow the engagement ring, but rather fell on the sand and disappeared from sight. As it usually happens, many of the beachgoers helped search the sandy area to no avail. The ring would not see the fading sunlight until my third signal when I recovered it. I left the ring in my scoop so Sarah could remove the ring and place it back on her finger.

Several hugs, congratulations, cheers from near-by beach goers filled everyone’s face with a smile. Catherine even showed up as the many Thank Yous continued and the usual picture taking and answering of questions followed. It was time to leave the beach and as we did a nice chat was had between three of us, Sarah, Josh her husband, and myself. It was difficult for me to tell just who had the biggest smile. It really did not matter, the “lost ring” had been found and returned. A beautiful ending to a beautiful day on Cape Cod.

Amanda called for help. She had lost her engagement ring in the sand at the beach, and was unable to find it. I let her know that I would come as soon as possible to insure a recovery because it had happened recently and she was able to secure the area for the search.

When I got there I found Amanda, and she took me over to the spot where she had lost the ring, and I set up for a search. It did not take more than 5 minutes before I was able to give her back her beautiful ring, and bring a beautiful smile to her face. Those smiles make it all worthwhile!

Mady contacted me about the loss of 2 her rings. She had been at the beach, and took them off so as to not lose them when she was active. She forgot where she had put them before she shook out the clothes and towels, but by then it was too late, they were gone.

When I got there I met up with Mady and her friend Sam, and they took me over to the area of the loss. She explained what happened, and the search started. I went over the area very carefully finding a bit of trash metal, and then a nice signal rang in the head phones. I scooped, and there was the first of the 2, a thin gold and diamond ring. Nearby I was getting another nice signal, would scoop, but nothing. I checked again, there it was, I scooped, nothing in the scoop. Something wasn’t right, then Mady said that the second ring was a gold chain ring. Now I understood the ring was falling through the holes in my scoop. One more time and a careful shaking out the sand when the other ring was spotted falling from the scoop. Both rings reunited, and one happy lady!

It was Labor Day and hot when I received the call from Blythe. She, her family and friends were at the beach trying to cool off. She took off her 3 diamond rings to apply sunscreen, and placed them on a piece of clothing. It was when the clothing was lifted that she remembered her rings, but it was too late, and they were lost in the expanse of sand. I let her know that I would leave immediately to help her, and I was on my way.

When I got to the beach parking was a bit tough because of the holiday, and I had to walk a bit of a distance. When I got on the sand Blythe found me, and took me over to the area of the loss. She explained what happened, and the search began. It took about 3 minutes, and all 3 rings were back on her finger. There was rejoicing all around, and some nice fellowship. I knew there would be sweet sleep this night. A wonderful Labor Day for sure!

Lost ring recovery Minnesota Lake metal detecting

Chaz & Jill took their kids up to a cabin in northern Minnesota for the Labor Day weekend. Jill was in the water playing with the kids, when she got out, she noticed her diamond wedding ring was not on her finger. She wasn’t sure exactly when or where it came off, though with the colder water in Minnesota it’s a safe bet that it came off in the water. Chaz got on the internet and searched “how to recover a lost ring” and up popped theringfinders.com web site. He called me and we discussed the situation, the ring was most likely in shallow water and not to weedy or mucky. So, I drove up and hopped in the water. There was a lot of trash to remove, about an hour & half into the search I found that beautiful white gold diamond ring.

*** Carlos put 3 silver rings on the beach towel,while he went into the ocean. When he returned he picked up his towel and returned to his house. It was there at home he realized that his ring must be back at the beach in the sand. 

He called me the next morning and we met at the location. He showed me exactly where had been . I moved a bit to the north to get a few practice swings in. Good thing I did the move outside the place he marked on the sand. All three silver rings were found on my first grid line. 

Carlos was excited to get his rings recovered and he knew that we were lucky to have avoided the beach cleaning machines. He was glad that he did a internet search for metal detecting service.

*** Frankie called saying he believed his white gold wedding band might be near lifeguard tower 20 at Bolsa Chica State Beach.. He had only been in a small area close to the lifeguard tower. He was working and couldn’t meet me. No problem this time, I did a  thorough search with no sign of his ring.

I called him just to let him know it wasn’t there. That’s when he apologized for giving me the wrong lifeguard tower number. When he told me  it was lifeguard tower 21 , I went there and found his gold ring 10 minutes into the search.

Frankie picked up his ring the next day after work.

Lost Ring found on Carmel Beach

A lady from Fresno was visiting Carmel beach.   When she went to shake out the sand from her beach gear, her engagement ring flew off.  And gets swallowed up by the dry sand.  Despite sifting the sand at length, could not locate the ring.   She looked up “metal detector rental” and was able to find the Ring finder directory.   Was able to reunite the ring with her.
