Lost White Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Aulani Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began when I was called by the Aulani Beach Team. They told me a guest lost her White Gold with Diamonds Engagement ring somewhere in the dry sand by their beach chairs. I told them I was doing a scuba hunt for a ring the next morning at the resort next door. Since I would be waiting for the sunrise I said I’d hunt for their ring first. The beach team gave me a 2nd row umbrella 4 location to start. When I arrived the next morning it was still dark so I moved all the location chairs out of the way first then I grabbed the Nox from my car and started the hunt. No ring in that box. Puzzled I noticed a guy sitting nearby drinking a cup of coffee intently watching me. I asked him if it was his wife that lost the ring and he said “No” but he saw the couple last night tearfully sifting sand looking for her lost ring. He was positive I was searching in the wrong spot. He was sure it was 3rd row umbrella 5. So I returned the other lounge chairs and cleared the new area. The gentleman walked away wishing me luck and as soon as he said that I got a nice tone on the Nox and in one scoop there was the ring. Thank you for having a messenger on the beach Lord! I informed the beach team of the successful recovery and they called the guest’s room. They said she burst into tears and that’s when I found out Shana from Ohio was only married one day and on her honeymoon when the ring fell off the lounge chair and disappeared. Shana and her husband were very grateful and obviously elated for the recovery. Honeymoon memories! Aloha to Shana!

Signet Ring Found near Woodstock, Oxfordshire

When I realised the ring I had been wearing non-stop for the last 10 years wasn’t on my finger one morning, I immediately panicked. This ring was a 21st birthday gift from my parents, engraved with my initials on the top and a message from them on the underside, so it was incredibly sentimental to me. I wracked my brains as to where it could be and my heart sunk when I realised there was a chance I could have lost it on a run the day before.

I posted about losing my ring on an online neighbourhood community group which is where someone recommended ringfinders.com, which led me to finding Constantine. 10 days passed between losing my ring and Constantine coming to the rescue. These 10 days were spent tearing my hair out and turning my flat upside down, searching through hoover bags and food waste bins – glamorous!

I had a gut feeling that my ring would most likely be somewhere outside, as I had been cleaning out my guinea pig’s hutch the morning I noticed it missing, and it was a particularly cold morning so my fingers had probably shrunk and were verging on numb so I wouldn’t have felt the ring come off.

Constantine scanned the garden and piles of leaves thoroughly, but no joy. Then we decided to empty the garden waste bin (the contents of which covered the lawn!). I saw Constantine bend down to pick something up, and there it was! He’d found it! I couldn’t believe it.

Lost Palladium Wedding Band from 14 Story Plunge into Aulani’s Landscape…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began as I was taking my good friend Alan metal detecting on the South Shore of Oahu. As we were leaving his house my phone rang and it was Edwin who was on vacation from Manteca, California and staying at the Aulani resort. He told me his three year old son was playing with his Palladium Wedding Band on the 14th floor balcony of their room at the Aulani. The ring rolled off a chair onto the deck, then plunged the 14 stories to the trees, bushes and land cover below. Edwin went down to see if it was an easy find and realized it was practically hopeless. I told Edwin that my friend Alan and I would reroute our trip and see if we could find the ring and it would be about 15 minutes to get there. When we arrived Edwin met us on the beach and escorted us to the area the ring was lost. I noticed when we arrived the ground cover was so thick and about a foot high this would require a thorough Pinpointer search and a lot of visual luck. Alan thankfully brought his Pro-Find 35 so I used that to scour the under brush and Alan swept the areas he could with his detector. Unfortunately the pinpointer kept going off because the irrigation system had metal everywhere. I decided I’d just have to go grid by grid and clear all the targets. At least the ring would be on top! After about 15 minutes and a few junk targets I moved a shrub branch with the pinpointer and lying on the leaves was a silver colored ring. I grabbed it and squinted to read Pd 950 and a date on the inside. BINGO we got it. We called Edwin and told him the good news. As you can see in the pick another smile for my book and vacation saved. Aloha to Edwin!

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Stowe

I was out on errands when I got a call from a guy who had just lost his wedding band in the snow in Stowe. I always keep at least one detector in the car in case I get an emergency call, and told him I could come immediately to do a search.

He and his wife and two daughters were here for a long weekend of skiing. He was helping one of his daughters out of the car and threw some of her nut shells out into the snow. Luckily, he felt his ring fly off, otherwise, he may not have known where to look.

They searched with no luck. His friend looked online to see where to buy or rent a detector close by, and he came across my listing for The Ring Finders service.

In a little less than an hour I met them there, he showed me the area where it should be, and I started the grid search. After a few false alarm signals, I got a good signal, pushed the pin-pointer into the snow and there it was! A very handsome platinum and rose gold ring. He quickly put it right back where it belongs, on his finger.

Hopefully he never loses it again, it’s not a pleasant experience to lose your wedding ring!

Lost wedding ring in the grass, Orlando, Florida….Found and Returned to owner!

I received a call from Scott asking if I could help find his lost wedding ring in his front yard! I asked him the usual questions like…When did he lose it? How did it happen? and Did he have a good idea of the exact area where he lost it? And all of the answers that Scott gave me indicated that his lost wedding ring should not be very difficult to find.

Armed with that information and my trusty Garrett, ATMax metal detector I headed for Orlando with high hopes. Made me think of how many people have lost rings, earrings and necklaces while playing with their favorite pet! Sometimes they are able to find their lost item and at other times the grass or sand swallows their personal treasure, never to be seen again.

Scott on the other hand was very sure of the exact spot where he was when he felt his ring come off. So I began my grid search just wide of the area he indicated and it took only 5 minutes to get the solid, shallow signal I was looking for. And Scott was thrilled to get his lost wedding ring back and I was honored and thankful to have been given the opportunity to help him!

Lost something recently or years ago…maybe I can help. Call, leave a message or text me ASAP! I would be honored to help you.

Lost Heirloom Platinum & Diamonds Engagement Ring in Aiea Yard…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when Yumi from Aiea called and said my fellow detectorist Brian referred me to her. He told her if anyone can find your ring it’s Joe. I appreciate the confidence Brian has in me but I thought the same of him. Yumi and I agreed to meet at her friend’s house where she lost her ring at 1:30 PM. today. When I arrived Yumi demonstrated how she walked up to a bench after finishing up washing dishes from the Food Truck flicked her hand once and both rings flew off. She didn’t notice which direction they went but she heard a “Ting” sound which sounded as if the ring hit the chain link fence. The way she flicked her hands and the rings being on her left hand I figured they would be to the left. Yumi & Rosie hunted extensively for a few days and a freak heavy winter storm flooded Rosie’s home and there was a fear the ring might be washed away. I started on the bottom level and worked towards the top. The Nox was practically useless with all the chain fence pieces, pull tabs, bottle caps & coins. The area was mostly dirt so I was thinking this should be an easy eyeball find with a bit of assistance from my pinpointer in the grassy areas. After 45 minutes of a thorough search I was about to give in. We covered it all at least in the left direction. Yumi admitted to raking a bit and that opened up the search in the other direction. No luck there either. Then as I was about to leave, I asked Yumi if we had moved the hose and she said, “NO!” We moved the hose from near the house pillar where the grass was the highest. I turned on my pinpointer and started moving the grass. Just as the PP went off I saw the beautiful Heirloom ring come into view alongside the Pillar surrounded by tall grass. Yumi screamed in disbelief and tears started to flow. I got a huge lump in my throat seeing how relieved she was that I found the ring. We all hugged and laughed thinking how her ring could have ended up where it did. The Rake…maybe so. No matter the other White Gold band remains and after they get a chance to remove some high grass along the fence it might be in the same spot. Aloha to Yumi & Josie!

Ring Finder Searches for Lost Gold Tantalum Wedding Ring…Found in Arlington, Virginia

Chris’ 14 Karat Yellow Gold and Tantalum Inlay Wedding Band Found After Hours Lost in the Arlington, Virginia Backyard!

Linda and Chris’ Smiles Illuminate the Darkness as the Couple Display Chris’ Handsome Gold and Tantalum Wedding Band!

BRIAN RUDOLPH, LOST ITEM RECOVERY SPECIALIST (LAND, WATER, SAND, SNOW, LEAVES, HOUSES & VEHICLES) WILL FIND YOUR LOST KEEPSAKE! CALL ASAP (301) 466-8644!

While I was in the middle of a search for a lost ring in Washington DC, I received a phone call from a couple who lived in Arlington, Virginia. They wondered if I had any time to come out to their property to search for a missing wedding band. Chris and Linda had only been married for a year and two months when Chris’ 14 karat yellow gold wedding band with tantalum inlay disappeared somewhere on their property earlier that day.

The couple shared with me that Chris knew that the ring was on his finger while they were hosting a get-together in the backyard with some friends of theirs. Apparently, the band had slipped off of his finger once before that same afternoon, but he realized that he was about to lose the precious band and quickly returned it to his finger for safekeeping – at least that is what he thought was best to do. Not thinking that the ring was going to go “missing in action” hours later, while Chris was taking a plate over to one of his guests, he pulled his hand out of his jacket pocket and realized that his ring was no longer on his finger. He checked the jacket thoroughly but it was not to be found. During the rest of the afternoon into the evening hours, everyone scoured the grass on their hands and knees as well as used their smartphone’s flashlights to investigate the property, hoping to find Chris’s most sentimental keepsake. Unfortunately, Chris, Linda and the rest of the gang had no luck in recovering the ring.

Instead of renting a metal detector, Linda discovered the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. She was googling how to rent a metal detector and the THE RING FINDER’S website page popped up on the screen. She figured that she would allow a professional to help the two of them find the ring rather than attempt to conduct the search themselves. It was at that stage when I received their call for help and I was more than excited to schedule a visit later that evening.

Sometime before 9 p.m., I arrived at the couple’s Arlington, Virginia house where I was first greeted by Chris and Linda out by the sidewalk. Immediately, I bonded with the two of them just by how sweet and personable the two of them were. Once I got my gear together, they shared a recap of how the ring disappeared and where they believed it had slipped off of Chris’s finger earlier that day. The three of us took a walk to the backyard and the couple showed me where they were hosting their friends for the majority of the time. Linda purposefully left all of the furniture exactly where it was when their friends were hanging out with them just so that they could give me an accurate account as to where everyone was eating and fellowshipping.

Once I got all of the facts together, I started up my metal detector, paired up the headphones and got busy with the search. The yard was medium in size, so it wouldn’t take that many hours to detect the entire backyard if necessary. Though Chris indicated that he did go over to the fence at some point (which was maybe 30 feet from where they were hanging out with their friends), I thought it was best to first check the area of the grass where there was more foot traffic. If I didn’t find the wedding band in that general location, I would then stretch my search farther away from that epicenter.

Within approximately two minutes of starting the search, I picked up a very promising target signal that sounded exactly what I was looking for. When I looked at the detector screen, it indicated the number range that was definitely a sequence that I was hoping to pick up in my detecting headphones. I knelt down to investigate the object in question and just as I placed my pinpointer (a handheld detector) over the section where the detector picked up the metal to isolate the exact location of the item, I immediately identified the metallic target as the 14 karat yellow gold ring with tantalum inlay wrapped around it! I did in fact find the lost wedding band! It certainly was a very handsome ring that was about to be reunited with its rightful owner! I could not have been happier for Chris and Linda as this ring meant so very much to the two of them! Minutes after my discovery, upon the reveal of the ring found, two new smiles were formed on the faces of both Chris and Linda! The couple was beyond excited and very much relieved of their stress and regrets! Before I said goodnight, the three of us celebrated my successful search and recovery of Chris’s gold tantalum wedding band right there in the same spot where he sadly lost it just hours earlier that day!

Lost Platinum Wedding Band at Lake Ocoee…Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

I was contacted by Phillip on November 29 about his ring that he lost at a park on Lake Ocoee in Eastern Tennessee.  He had lost his platinum wedding band on the Saturday before while at a roadside park. He was brushing the leaves off a tablecloth when his ring came off. He felt it come off, but wasn’t sure which direction it went.  They had been married for only about two years, so they were both just a little upset.  He and his wife searched the area until well after dark to no avail. He had even gone to a local sporting goods store and bought a low cost metal detector, and went back on Sunday morning.  He quickly found out there were a lot of targets in the ground there and was quite overwhelming! After that they did a Google search and www.theringfinders.com popped up. He works for the local Volkswagen plant here and couldn’t get off until the coming weekend, so I met him there the next Saturday morning on December 4th.  The leaves are all pretty much gone from the trees now and on the ground, so I knew the ring wouldn’t have been visible to someone walking by. The picnic table was at the bottom of a steep hill and the hill by the table was covered with leaves that were nearly a foot deep.  I searched that area first and found the usual pull tabs and foil that are common at parks. There is a paved walk right next to the table, so I searched the ground next to the walk, across from the table.  Just as I was about halfway past the table I got an interesting signal.  It was obviously trash, but mixed in there was a good strong signal.  I slowed down my sweep and used the short wiggle motion to help identify the target I was hearing.  It was the low tone that I was expecting for platinum, and I was getting a consistent 12:09 on my CTX.  I brushed away the layer of leaves with my foot and immediately saw it.  Phillip was a little distance away with his metal detector and didn’t notice that I had found it. So I started taking pictures of it right where it lay. I picked it up and pretended to continue my search for a little while.  After about another ten minutes I quit searching and walked over to where he was and started asking more questions. He assumed that I hadn’t found it yet, so he was quite surprised when I held up my hand and showed him the ring!  The ring was less than a foot from the walk directly adjacent the table.  The actual search time was about twenty minutes.

Lots of hugs and crying after engagement ring is found in Allentown, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I received a text from Danielle saying that she lost her engagement ring while playing outside with her children during the Thanksgiving weekend. She bought a cheap metal detector and searched for several days before deciding to contact me. We had several texts back and forth before she felt comfortable having me search for her ring. She was sure someone had already found the ring and didn’t want to waste my time. I assured her that if the ring was in her yard, I would find it, as it was a very small yard and had only been missing for a week. I met Danielle and she showed me where the ring came off after she threw a toy to her children. I searched the entire area for about an hour and was only finding bottle caps and scraps of aluminum just under the surface of the grass. As Danielle watched me search, she just kept repeating, “someone found and took my ring, it’s gone”. She had lost all hope of finding it and I was losing hope as well, as I had searched most of the yard twice. When I was about to quit and return to my truck, I received a signal in the gold range but it was not very strong. I searched with my pin pointer and it hit on the ring in a small patch of higher grass. It was pushed into the soil as if someone stepped on it. Danielle had been back inside working from home when I knocked on her door. As she opened the door, I was holding her ring and she was overcome with emotion and began to cry and hug me. I was so thrilled to return her ring and see her emotions as we were sure someone had found it already. If you lost a piece of jewelry, don’t wait or try to find it with a cheap metal detector. Call me at 610-207-8677 to have a professional with the proper equipment to find it.

Engagement Ring Found!

  • from Eau Claire (Wisconsin, United States)

Got a text from Cara. While working at a horse ranch she lost her diamond engagement ring.  The ring had more than monetary value.  It had belonged to her fiancee’s grandmother who passed away five years ago.  She wasn’t sure where she lost the ring so we retraced the route she took while watering and feeding the horses.  This included paths and multiple paddocks, which were were a combination of mud and horse droppings.  I found out that some horses are very curious and frequently got in the way.  One apparently thought my Garrett carrot was an edible carrot.  We searched for almost two hours and were about done when I got a solid steady 11 on the Equinox.  The ring was about a half inch down in the mud and manure!
