Lost a ring?

Don’t wait to call!

215-850-0188

The day after Christmas, I received a call that would turn into one of those moments that remind you why you do what you do. Guy had lost his gold ring – not just any ring, but one he’d worn faithfully for half a century. The story of its disappearance was painfully simple: while tending to his Christmas Day fire pit, the cold had caused the ring to slip from his pinky finger, where he’d placed it because his usual finger was swollen.

The backyard had become an accidental treasure map. Somewhere between the fire pit and the scattered woodpiles, beneath a blanket of winter leaves, lay fifty years of memories in a ring of gold and coral.

I started methodically, sweeping my metal detector along the path Guy had taken to the first woodpile. Nothing. But treasure hunting is often about patience and persistence. Moving to the second pile of firewood, my detector sang out with that sweet, promising tone that makes every searcher’s heart skip a beat.

There it was, nestled among the logs – a gleaming circle of gold that had witnessed five decades of Guy’s life. The smile that spread across his face when I held it up was awesome to see!

Guy left a review:

“Like, not even 15min and John found my ring. We just traced my afternoon steps and located the ring under a pile of wood and oak leaves. Probably never would’ve have found it on my own. John is professional and a gentleman.”

Gold & Multi Diamond Ring Lost at Christmas, Found in West Kelowna

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Danielle was visiting her Parents in West Kelowna over the Christmas Period. Two days before Christmas, before she entered her parents house she shook her hands to get the rain off, as she did she she felt her 14k multi diamond ring come of by a tree. They all spent three days searching for it, to no avail. Dec 26th she found my services on Google, and gave me a call. I had time before dinner so I responded right away, Danielle found me on Google, however it took 45 minutes to find their location as Google was out of date. Danielle showed me the location by the tree, not sure if it bounced off the tree or not. It did bounce off and landed in the long grass around the tree, which made it an easy search for a Metal Detector. Her Happy Christmas was restored.

Lost White Gold Wedding Band at Fort Kamehameha Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text from Amanda who lives on Hickam AFB with her family.  Amanda found me on the Ring Finders!  So, earlier this morning as she applied sun tan lotion she removed her white gold wedding band and placed it on a beach chair for safe keeping.  At some point it went missing from there and when I arrived I could see finger raking marks in the sand where they had searched.  A few people on the beach were somewhat in the area and they kindly moved their gear so I could hunt without interference.  After firing up the Manticore I detected a steel pipe running all the way through the search area so I was happy when the first target a piece of aluminum came through strongly.  I started on the high side and worked low.  A few more junk targets and then I got a nice shallow #15 on the VDI and I told Amanda, “this sounds real good.”  Sure enough their was the white gold wedding band in the scoop.  Early Christmas present!  Aloha to Amanda!

Lost Platinum & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Paradise Cove Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

Paradise Cove 121924 MOV_0780

This ring find began when I got a voicemail from Liz saying that Aloha Security told her I might be able to locate her Mom’s Platinum & Diamonds Engagement Ring in shallow water at Paradise Cove Beach.  I told her I had a hunt in Waikiki I had to finish up and then I would head right over to Paradise Cove.  When I got to Paradise Cove Liz’s mom Debbie, from NYC, was waiting at the lagoon to show me the area to hunt.  She told me she was throwing a football with her grandchildren and when she reached to catch the football her engagement ring flew off into shallow water.  I walked out to the furtherest distance Debbie was and started a grid search back towards shore.  On about the third leg I got a nice 27-32 hit on the Manticore and on the second scoop there was Debbie’s amazing ring in the scoop.  She was so thankful and I think she was about to cry.  Many people had looked for her but it was buried.  Another vacation saved!  Aloha to Debbie and Family!

I received a call from Erik asking if I was available to help in finding a ring lost in the sand at the beach. I was, and let him know that I could be there soon. We arranged to meet there so he could show me where to look.

When I arrived I met Erik and his girlfriend Rowan, and they explained that Rowan had removed her jewelry in order to go out in the surf, but when getting ready put her jewelry back on, she found that one of her rings was missing. She told me how the ring had been in the family for numerous generations, and was given to her by her mother, so the sentimentality of the ring was strong. She said she was on vacation from Vermont, and was fearful the ring would be lost forever. I could see in the sand their search area, and began my search at the edge of it. I received a couple of signals, but the items were so small they fell through the scoop. Then right in the middle of their search area I received a strong signal, dug, and had Rowan’s ring. I called them over to let them know it was found, and she was very happy to know she would be able to go back home with her family treasure.

Taylor contacted me about the loss of her husband’s wedding ring. She had been with him at a volleyball event the day before at the beach. He took the ring off to go in the water, and left it with the beach stuff. When they got ready to go Taylor picked everything up forgetting the ring was there, and the ring was gone in the sand. They looked for as long as they could without any luck. When she called she let me know she would not be able to meet me there, but was able to give me directions as to where to look. I went as soon as possible.

When I arrived at the beach, I was able by the map, and photos to figure where to begin my search. I also noticed that the beach cleaning machines had gone through, but not all the way into the area I was going to search. I began a tight grid going just into where the machines had been. Back and forth, back and forth, and not finding much. After about 20 minutes I began to find some tinfoil, and bottle caps, so I figured I had found the area where they had been the day before. Then right at the edge of the County clean zone I got a solid signal, dug, and found the ring. I sent Taylor a picture, and she confirmed it was her husband’s ring. We met later that day at a local Starbucks to make the return, and she was very happy to have it back.

Lost Silver Irish Claddagh Ring Saved from the Sand at SoCal Beach

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Call or text Stan the Metal Detector Man if you lose a ring in the sand.

… Rachael put her two rings in her shirt pocket and walked across the sand to set up her beach chair on the sand so she could watch the waves. Some time between where she parked her car and where her beach chair one of the two rings was lost. It had to be in the sand.

The missing ring was a silver Irish claddagh designed ring passed down to her by her grandmother. After discussing when she last saw the ring and what she might have done that caused the ring to fall out of the pocket. It could have been pulled out when she took her celphone from the same pocket.

I wasn’t looking foreword to gridding the 100 plus yards of sand back to the parking lot. Our best place to start would be where Rachael spent most of the time.  After a few minutes I got a great high tone from my metal detector with high numbers that are common for silver metal. Boom ! One quick dig with my xtreme sand scoop, I had her ring. She stood watching the search process and I was able to let her reach in the scoop to retrieve her very special ring. Happiness is having your ring returned after you thought it was lost forever. Rachael was a very happy lady to have her ring saved from the sand.

Local Newport Beach Resident Lost House Keys in Sand .. Recovered by RingFinder

Residents in Newport Beach call metal detecting expert to help finding items lost in the sand.. Call now if you need help ..

*** Bob lives a block away from the sand in Newport Beach. He loves to body surf in the waves a couple times a week. His habit is to leave his towel on the dry sand with his house keys, which he has done for years.

This time was different because he could not find his house keys after drying off. The keys were on a long necklace size chain which should have been an easy find. Nevertheless his house keys could not be located by a hand search.

He called me and I was able to meet him shortly after he called.  It didn’t take long to find the house keys using my metal detector. Bob was happy to get the keys back, so he didn’t have to break into his house..
