Lost Platinum Wedding Ring Found in Ft. Collins Colorado

  • from Fort Collins (Colorado, United States)

I received a call from Tim saying he had lost his gold wedding ring. He said that he was on his 2nd floor balcony and while shaking snow from his hands his ring came off. Tim said that he heard it hit the concrete floor once then did not hear it again. We arranged for me to come over the next morning to begin the recovery search. Tim said he would not be able to be there but his wife would be home.

The next morning when I arrived I was greeted by his wife Niccole who explained the situation and pointed out the likely search area. She said they had purchased a metal detector but could not find the ring because of all of the false     ” beeping and noises it was making”.  It was in a grassy area between two apartment buildings, snow covered with a lot of sprinklers and underground electrical services. After two trash targets we hit a solid repeatable signal reading 15 on the visual display and at a surface depth. Niccole had the pin pointer and in a short time had the ring in her hand and a big smile on her face. I took a picture of the ring and sent it to Tim. He called me excited that we had been successful because they both thought the ring was lost forever. We said goodbye and Niccole said that she would share The Ring Finders site with family and friends. I headed to my 2nd recovery for the day.

Karen called after just losing her wedding ring at the old “Muscle Beach” next to the Santa Monica pier. She was going to go on the rings, so she took her ring off so as not to lose it, but in the process, dropped it in the sand, and could not find it. I left immediately to get there for the search.

When I got there Karen was waiting for me, and took me to the area of the loss. She explained what had happened, and showed me where she was standing when she dropped it. We asked the people in the area if they would allow me to work in the area to find the ring, and they were very gracious in allowing the search. It took about 30 seconds for the recovery, because the ring was right where she thought it was, but because it was a small thin ring it moved around when they were searching for it. Needless to say she was very happy to have it back.

I was contacted by Edwin who had lost his wedding ring at the beach 2 days prior. He had been visiting from Fresno, and had already gone back home but really needed closure on his lost ring, so I asked him to give me all of the necessary directions to guide me back to the exact area he had been. A tough call, but he was able to give me pretty good information for the search.

I followed his exact guideline when I got to the beach, and began my search. Fortunately there were not any people in the area the loss occurred, but it had been 2 days! I started searching, covering a much larger area just to make up for the time element and remembrance issues. I wanted to be sure I covered every possibility. I worked the area for about 30 minutes, finding many different items, but no ring until I got a very good signal, dug, and found his ring. I immediately sent him a picture of the ring telling him of the successful search. When I got home I went directly to the Post Office, and put Edwin’s ring in the mail for him, and then sent him the tracking information. Another happy return!

I got a call from a young man who had lost his phone. He was on a small bridge over a section of a river near his house, when while taking pictures, he dropped the phone in the water. I asked how long it had been since the loss, and he told me a week. My heart dropped when he told me the amount of time that had gone by, but he assured me that the phone should still be there, so I drove out to meet him.

When I got there we walked out to the spot where the loss occurred, and he explained what happened. He also told me that he had done his own searches during that week to no avail. I looked into the water, and the deepest area was no more than 4 feet deep with a sandy bottom, and I was having a hard time figuring out why he wasn’t able to find it; it should have just been laying there! Well I got ready, and stepped into the water, and as soon as my foot hit bottom I understood why it disappeared, there was 8 inches of silt that looked like sand. The bottom was real clean of metal trash, and then under the bridge I received a real good signal, put my scoop in, and up came a beer can. I searched again, and in the same area another good signal, this time it was his phone. It was still there after a week, and still working; amazing. Made his day!

Bekah called distraught because she had lost something very sentimental to her while at a family picnic. She and her family had gone to the Hanson Dam Recreation Area for a get together, and while walking around, she noticed the necklace she was wearing was not around her neck any longer. The necklace and pendant had been in her family for generations, and it made her feel extremely bad to know she had lost it. We arranged to meet, and I was on my way.

When I arrived Bekah and I found each other, and she took me out to the area of the loss. The area wasn’t real huge, but the grass area was littered with metal trash which slowed the search process considerably. I searched stopping every few inches to check for the missing necklace, and Bekah followed along with high hopes. We covered all of the area, so I asked if she had been anywhere else, and she showed me another strip of grass she had been in, and I began to search there with her right beside me on the adjacent pavement. My process again was real slow checking every few inches, when all of a sudden I heard a cry of emotion from Bekah. It happened that as she was following me ever so slowly, her foot bumped something on the pavement, and when she looked down, she saw the necklace. She was certain it was lost in the grass, but like I always tell people I help; it may not be where you expect it to be. Also the day she lost it, she was frantic in her search, and she overlooked it though it was in plain sight. Sometimes you just need to slow down a bit, and my slow search made that happen for her. She was thrilled to have it back.

LOST SHEETS OF GOLD in CHAPEL HILL, NC….. FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

This will be one of my best but craziest recoveries EVER! I still can’t believe I was actually able to find it for the daughter of the deceased man that buried it in their backyard during his later stages of Dementia. Yes, he buried the sheets of GOLD that were rolled up and put together with paperclips. I know I will get comments like it is gold leaf. but it is 100% NOT GOLD LEAF; it is heavy and in sheets as stated. He used this gold to make chips.

The original story was that her father had made a small GOLD BAR out of the gold, but when I found it, I knew I had found what he had buried and what she was hoping I would find. It took me about an hour and a half to get the signal of this lost treasure! The backyard was full of leaves, rocks, trees and it wasn’t an easy target to find, luckily there wasn’t much other metal items in the natural area behind the house. That alone made it easier to locate the GOLD! The estimated total GOLD weight of what I think is 24K gold is about 15g to 20g.

Neeta called and asked for help finding her husband’s wedding ring. He had been playing at the beach with their daughter when he noticed it gone. It had happened earlier that day, so the timing was right; always, the sooner the better. I got down there as soon as I could.

We began the search, and she put me close, because it did not take very long to find it. Neeta was very pleased to be able to have her husband’s ring back so quickly, and I was happy for a great outcome that day.

I received a call from Favio who had lost his cell phone the night before at the beach. He was wondering if I would be able to do a search for him, and I let him know I was available. I asked if the phone was still showing on the find my phone app, and he said that it was, which boosted hope for a successful recovery. We arranged to meet at the location that evening.

When I arrived Favio had some car trouble and was a late in coming, so I asked him to send me a map of the area, and where he believed the phone had been lost so I could begin my search while he was in transit. I had almost completed the search area when Favio and his friends arrived. They then moved the search area a bit North of where I had been searching, and within about 20 minutes, I was able to hand his phone back. Favio then explained how he had recently come South from Alaska, and purchased the best phone he could afford in order to be able to do some film work, so this recovery was furthering his dream career. I was very happy to make his day.

Lost in Beach Sand .. Cartier Love Bracelet at Newport Beach .. Recovered by RingFinder

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Who are you going to call when you lose something in the sand, grass, surf or any place that can’t be visually searched.. Call or text .. Stan the RingFinder … 949-500-2136

*** Laura was on her vacation with her family visiting Newport Beach. She called me the day after closing her white gold Cartier Love Bracelet. Her call came about noon which concerned me as this beach gets a daily sifting by the beach cleaning crew. Objects as large as a bangle type bracelet can be picked up by the sifting machine or moved a distances from the loss zone.

Like many people, Laura had no idea of how a metal detector works, so I took a few minutes to demonstrate. We discussed where she had been the day she realized her precious bracelet went missing. I told her I would be removing all metal signals as I did the grid search and this is a tedious process that may take a couple hours. It is not something that she has to stand by to help. She could go about her day on the beach and I would let her know when and if I found the bracelet.

About an hour into the rather large search area, I got the perfect signal. I was almost positive that this was the treasure I had been searching for. One scoop with my sand scoop prove this was Laura’s White Gold Cartier Love Bracelet. I walked over to where she had set up her beach chair at the waters edge to present her with the bracelet. Always a very emotional moment and definitely hard to express the reaction we get when we can return an item that they believed was lost forever..

I provide a mobile metal detecting service for all of Orange County and Los Angeles County. Basically any of the Southern California cities.. Call or text now for service or information on how this works… Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136 … I WILL TRY ANYWHERE
