Lost Tungsten Wedding Band Kuhio Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began just as I finished dinner when Giovanni who was on vacation from Maryland texted, “Are you available to retrieve a lost ring on Oahu?  We are here until Friday.”  I immediately called knowing the sundown hunters would be combing the beach.  Gio told me he was in waist deep water at the Kuhio Beach lagoon when while catching a football his silver colored tungsten Wedding Band came off and disappeared in the sand.  A few beachgoers pitched in but were unsuccessful in finding the ring.  I told Gio I would grab my gear and head down to the zoo to park and we could meet at the beach.  After I parked Gio and his lovely wife Shelia met me in the parking lot and we drove to a near by parking spot near where the ring came off at Kuhio Beach.  Gio directed me to the spot he was thinking 5 feet from the breakwater.  It was pitch dark but I was able to use the hotel windows and the wall as markers.  I hunted along the wall to about 15 feet from the wall.  On the return leg I found a screaming 14K Rose Gold Wedding band but not Gio’s ring.  I went back ashore and discussed the depth of the water and Gio figured he must have been farther away from the wall.  It was pitch dark but the Manticore light was enough to see what I was doing and I decided to try an in and out grid to get more distance from the wall.  On about the fourth leg I got a screamer on the Beast and in two scoops Gio’s large size Tungsten Band was in the scoop.  Gio and Shelia were very appreciative of the successful hunt and drove me back to my car at the zoo.  We had a few laughs and a hug and they promised me a selfie when they got back to their room.  See those smiles above…its what I love!  Aloha to Giovanni and Shelia!

Will Smiles!

Last fall, Will was doing yard work when he realized his ring was missing. He had been mowing his beautiful yard and thought it might have slipped off while emptying the grass catcher. While he was reading Reddit articles, Will came across one mentioning one of my recoveries. He texted me, and we set an appointment on a lovely day to conduct a search.

Search Area

There It Is!

Will showed me where he dumped his grass clippings in his back yard. There were a number of reasonable target IDs in the area, and each one had to be identified. After a long search through the piles of debris with a rake and shovel, I expanded the area to go under low tree branches and around large stones. Finally, I heard a clean signal (with a VDI of 15). Gently scraping the leaves away, the ring appeared!

Lost Pendant Found in Lincoln RI

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

On November 15, 2023, I received a call from Allison, who lost a beautiful onyx pendant while visiting Chase Farm in Lincoln.  She decided to search the internet for help and found my information.  She asked for my help to find her lost pendant.  The next day, I met her at the farm where she had lost the pendant.  It was a large area.  Allison told me that her chain broke and showed me two different areas of the farm where the pendant could be. I search the first area and didn’t find the pendant.  After searching the second area with no success, I started thinking that someone may have found it already.  That’s when I decided to expand the search beyond these two areas, and I found the pendant.  Frequently, lost items are not in the area where you think they are lost, and you have to search outside the box.  It’s a good thing I did.  As you can see, Allison was delighted to have the pendant back.

I received a call from Dick, who told me he had lost his gold wedding band while doing some work in his yard.  The ring was lost while he was putting up a temporary fence around an area of the lawn that had just been seeded in order to keep their sweet dog out of the area.  After the fence was installed, Dick realized that he had lost his wedding ring in the process.  He decided to search the internet for help, and that’s when he found me.  When I arrived at Dick’s house, he showed me the area where he had installed the fence.  I searched the area for about an hour and found Dick’s ring.  He couldn’t believe that it had been recovered.  Dick, and his wife of over 40 years, were very happy that the ring was back on his hand where it belonged.

Lost Platinum & Diamonds Ring at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Chad who was on a family vacation from Bountiful, Utah and staying at the Marriot Beach Club at Ko Olina.  While Chad and his lovely wife Wendy were playing catch with a football in the shallow waters of Nai’a Lagoon, Wendy noticed her ring was missing from her finger.  Not knowing exactly when it fell off the search area was rather large but only waist high and the tide was going out.  Chad passed the phone to Wendy for some more details about the search.  I just had lunch arrive but as soon as I was finished I told Wendy I’d pack up and be right over.  Traffic was excellent so the ride from Kaimuki to Ko Olina was just over 30 minutes.  When I arrived Wendy & Chad showed me on the beach where to start and the grid search began.  After about 30 minutes I got a nice tone and there in the scoop was a yellow 14k gold ring but not Wendy’s.  Wendy and Chad came down to the beach and I showed them what I had found.  Obviously not what they wanted to see but I was getting close to the end of the search area and getting hopeful.  About 4 more grid lines.  Then on the second to last grid line I got another amazing tone on the Manticore and on the second scoop Wendy’s stunning Diamond packed Platinum ring was finally recovered.  I yelled over to them in the beach chairs, “Got it for sure this time!”  Wendy and Chad were exhaustedly relieved and we shook hands and hugged.  Me wishing I had started from the other end and not making them wait so long.  Success is bliss!  Much Aloha to Wendy & Chad!

Metal detector found Gold Diamond wedding ring buried at a playground park in San Diego

The Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a Lost Gold Diamond wedding ring in San Diego. Contact  Curtis Cox 760 889 2751

Recently on a Sunday night, I noticed a text message asking about my services to help find a diamond ring lost at a park in Poway San Diego. Adam and his wife had been searching for it all evening with no luck,,Except for finding my contact info on The Ring Finders website.

I looked up this place called Highland park on google maps and actually remember detecting this tot-lot nearly 15 years ago. The hurdle being is it’s a public park connected to a busy active elementary school,So I established what I thought would be the best time to meet the following day after school hours and before sunset.

Arriving on time promptly I immediately kicked myself in the gut while noticing Huge tire track marks with what appeared to be brand new bark all over the Tot-lot!  I walk out with my metal detector gear trying to stay optimistic then see Adam there also with a metal detector. Right away he explained the City of Poway had just offloaded 6-8” of new bark that same morning!!  What are the chances of this happening?? I couldn’t believe it either. I asked some of my standard questions to help narrow some search areas but the ring may have been lost any where inside of this fairly large playground area. They also weren’t 100% sure having not noticing till she got home.

Adam had obtained a bounty hunter metal detector which is notorious for not finding gold jewelry as I have experienced this every year since 2014. Not even one incident I’ve seen or heard of a beginner being successful at finding small gold items with this particular Metal detector. I didn’t want to give Adam’s hopes up with too much info,,Besides,,He also had a handful of typical metal trash we detectorist all find.

I figured it make sense if I scanned over the areas he’s done already starting at the back of the tot-lot. It consumed a little extra time to grid search due to every target was 4-8” deep under that new bark. There was also many many targets when ever I swung around but I know what sound to listen for so focusing on just small gold signals I was able to clear out 90% of the park all the way to the front in less than hour.

I make my way to start a new grid search on the last section when another small Non ferrous signal beeped on my Metal detector indicating it was 6-8” deep down,,,So Down I went digging with my fingers again when at the bottom of this hole,, A diamond ring magically appeared:)

I wasn’t sure how to break it to them,Then decided to ask Adam if his detector is working while kneeling down and planting the ring under the shallow bark,,,He swung the coil right over it several times but it barely even beeped once? Ahhh,,,Just I suspected,,,I told him he would have never found this gold ring with that machine as I stood up smiling opening my hand:).  ***BOOM*** Instantly hugs,Tears & Cheers came roaring in. Lots of parents & kids at that park got to witness The Ring Finders in action too. They were extremely relieved being so thankful I could help them find what may of been lost forever. Thank you for the grateful

Lost Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Royal Hawaiian Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text from Andrew who was on work travel to the islands as a sports photographer from Knoxville, Tennessee.  While enjoying the Royal Hawaiian beach with his lovely wife Jessica her Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring went missing when she discovered it gone in their hotel room.  They had the where withall  to go back to the spot on the beach and begin a search.  After that attempt Andrew googled lost ring Waikiki and found theringfinders website.  I had just gotten home from work and since this was a dry sand search I told Andrew I’d load up my gear and get there as quick as possible.  No traffic and no parking issues so I arrived about 20 minutes later.  Jessica explained the circumstances of the loss and the most likely place would be where she shook off her beach towel.  Thankfully, that area was free of sunbathers so I was able to start an immediate grid search.  I could tell Jessica was devastated and had been crying so I wanted this to be quick find.  On the second leg of the search I got a solid #16 on the Manticore.  I looked over at the two of them and said I think we have it.  It took two scoops but no doubt there was Jessica’s beautiful Engagement Ring in the scoop.  I let her reach in and recover it as cheers went up on the beach.  There was some clapping and whistling and someone told Jessica that took 2 minutes and 32 seconds.  Not my fastest, but right up there.  I actually turned my detector on once and the ring was directly under the coil!  We shared a few hugs and Andrew said thanks for being our Hero! I don’t know about that but I sure do enjoy a successful hunt.  Aloha to Jessica & Andrew!

*** Anna was on the beach with her husband and two small children. When the picked up her young son, she inadvertently snagged his necklace braking it. She salvaged the gold chain but the very small gold pendant disappeared into the sand.

The loss occurred a short distance from where I live  but I was an hour away on another search on the other side of town. They said they would be on the beach for a couple more hours, so we set up to meet later in the afternoon.

Traffic was cooperating and parking was easy to get me there before they had to leave. I was glad to have my high frequency metal detector with me which is a must for finding micro small jewelry. Anna had marked the spot with a stick. She also showed me an identical pendant which she also wears.

A short time later I got a very short but solid signal on my metal detector. It took about five or six attempts with my sand scoop to retrieve the pendant as it kept falling through the larger holes in the scoop. Anna and her husband were totally surprised and expressed their joy and gratitude for my help.

I am available to help you now.. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE .. For prompt service call .. Stan .. 949-500-2236

If you need help call or text  .. Stan the Metal Detector Man  ..949-500-2136

***Melanie dropped her engagement ring in the sand while at Playa Del Rey Beach, one of the Los Angeles County Beaches. She went remove her very special ring to put in her purse for safekeeping. The ring so slipped off her finger disappearing into the sand. Her fiancé, David was right there to help her search for the ring. Two hours later, no success.

Melanie’s friend was also there to help. She gave up digging through the sand and got online, where she found my contact information. After discussing the details of the loss, I assured them that the ring was findable if they stayed in the area. I was able to meet them an hour later.

We still had plenty of daylight which is always a plus. Melanie showed me the general area. I took a few minutes to explain how the metal detector works. Then a few minutes later we had her ring in my sand scoop.. It was another recovery that went right.. We can find it, if it’s there. Modern Metal detectors work well when you have experience using them. If you’ve lost something of value where a metal detector can be used call or text an experienced metal detector expert.
