Lost Gold Necklace Pendant at Hilton Hawaiian Village…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This metal detecting find began when I received a call from Nigel who was visiting Hawaii from Vancouver, Canada. While his lovely wife Nelo was removing their daughter Nya’s shirt to put suntan lotion on the shirt snagged her gold necklace pendant and it popped off into the sand. They looked at the sand and it was gone. Nigel googled and found my metal detecting services on theringfinders page. I was at work but agreed to leave a little early to get into Waikiki before rush hour traffic. When I arrived Nigel met me at the shrimp truck near the parking lot and we walked down to the area on the beach that his darling daughter Nya lost her necklace charm. Nelo described to me what happened and showed me the area she believed the pendant came off. It was only a 10 by 10 foot square so I fired up the Excalibur and started my search. 10 seconds into the search I got a nice low gold tone and one scoop down there was Nya’s charm in the scoop. It was just big enough not to fall through the grate. Nelo was absolutely amazed that it was found so quickly. Nya was eating some cheesy snack which you can see on her hand in the picture and was excited to get her charm back. Vacation back on track. Aloha to our friends from up North Nigel, Nelo & Nya.

Hamilton Lost Diamond Rings Found “Live Video”

  • from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)

This video shows two great Ring finds in Hamilton Ontario just after Christmas in -30 wind chill weather. The first one was very difficult. A young married couple were out hiking in the woods and decided to have a bit of a snowball fight up on a ridge. The lady noticed that her ring came off after she was going to put back on her mitt. After hiking back on the frozen trail about 30 minutes in -15c temperature the young husband showed me the area. He had been there the day before for 10 hours on his hands and knees looking for the ring. As you can see in the video after extensively gridding the area with my high-end metal detector I find the ring.

The second video is incredible. The ring found is actually a 1.5 karat engagement ring. Originally the ring was thought to have come off her hand in the cold between the back door of her house and her car as she was on her way to her friend’s house across the other side of town. After searching the area I realized it wasn’t there and told her that I suspected it might be in her friend’s driveway. Young lady stated that it was a very small driveway and she highly doubted that it would be in the other driveway but I insisted for us to drive across to check. As you can see from the following video clip the young couple where in utter shock when I discovered the beautiful ring at the side of the driveway in a snowbank. It was very successful Ring Return.

While in transit to a ring hunt in Elgin, Illinois, I received a call from a woman asking me to come to Dekalb, Illinois after my search in Elgin, Illinois. Apparently her husband lost it while using the snowblower around Christmas. The snow had started to melt and they were still unable to locate the White Gold wedding band. I arrived at her home and went inside to have her fill out my search contract. She put on her coat so she could shoe me the area it was lost in. I stepped outside and looked down and picked up the ring. It was in plain view since the snow had just melted. No detector required. Probably my fastest hunt EVER!!

Received a text message about a lost ring in Elgin, Illinois. Apparently on Christmas Eve, his wife was outside cleaning crumbs off a tablecloth . In doing so, her large diamond engagement ring slipped off in the snow. The husband rented a detector but was unable to find the ring. I came out today, 1/10/2018 and did a 30 minute search. I found the ring which had apparently been stepped on by people searching for the ring. Needless to say he was very happy about finding the ring. I’m sure his wife was equally happy!!

  • from Waikīkī Beach (Hawaii, United States)

On Monday January 8th I get a call from a worried yet hopeful Wife named Kate and she explains to me that her husband Ted was in the ocean at Ala Moana beach swimming around in 6 feet deep water when He lost his Damascus steel with 14K wedding ring. I advised Her to rest assure I will be on my way and to let Ted know that it will take me around 30 minutes. While I was packing up my gear and on the phone I started to gather as much information from Kate as i could so I would be able to narrow the beach search area. Once I got the info I  needed I let Kate know…Help is on the way.

Arrived to Ala Moana beach and met up with the couple. Ted marked out the place where he believes he lost it and I started the search. After a few minutes of searching the LOST ring FOUND its way back home! I asked ted ” is the ring stainless steel and White Gold?…Does it look like this?” And the moment they seen the ring I saw relief all over their faces. Ted and Kate was very thankful and the comfort of hearing OH MY GOD…YOU FOUND IT! let me know that this is MORE THAN A RING to them…ITS A COMMITMENT OF EVERLASTING LOVE and for me to be apart of reuniting their ring WAS MY PLEASURE. Wedding Set, Snow recovery at the Jersey Shore found by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Andrew asking if I could help find his wife’s Kelly wedding set she lost in the snow while playing with her child. Told him I could be there the next morning. When I got the I was greeted by Kelly and she showed me the area she felt the rings come off when she brushed the snow off. There were multiple targets in the ground so I had to check them all but after a bit I came across the first ring and knew the second one wasn’t to far away. A few more swings of the detector and out comes the second ring. I’m glad I could reunite Kelly with her rings and just seeing that big smile that comes when I find it is all worth it. Another Happy recovery……

Lost White Gold Ring with Diamonds Found In The Snow In Allen Park Michigan

A Joyful New Years Day……

…..was had for the pictured couple who’s ring I found for them in the snow today. He presented the new ring to her for Christmas to celebrate their first year of marriage. She was taking the holiday trash out last night and the ring came off. Being nighttime, they weren’t sure where it was even tho the area where she was wasn’t very large. They had checked the can and bags prior to my arrival to no avail. They tore up the house searching everywhere. He went today and bought a toy type detector which only caused more frustration. When I got on site I noticed he raked and salted the area where they thought it was. The area was composed of gravel for the driveway, spruce needles, cones and the aforementioned salt, snow, ice. The scent of the spruce trees and the cones on the snow was peaceful to me, reminding me of being out in the woods hunting for relics. Firing up the MXT I gridded the area and got mixed metal signals, nothing close to where this ring material type usually shows up. There was also a car that could not be moved and a aluminum sided post for the porch overhang.
Reducing the sensitivity as much as possible to get close to the large metal objects helped but I still got an overload signal. Scanning slowly towards the post and moving around it I got a suspect +12 /+18 mixed with an overload signal right near the base of about a 5″ snow pile. Probing with the garrett carrot I got that good vibration that we all know what it means. Brushing the snow around revealed this gorgeous white gold ring with diamonds! They couldn’t believe that it had been in a total different area from where they thought. It made their New years day even better as they thought it could not be found…. and something wonderful to look back on as they grow older together.

It’s Gonna Be A Happy New Year…..

……For the pictured couple who’s ring I found today in the snow. They got engaged on Christmas and were unloading gifts yesterday when the ring came off. I searched the area between the house and car where she thought it slipped off but noting came thru on the MXT meter where a typical ring like this will come up. The next place to look was where the cars were parked, so he moved them and I searched the area and the MXT was sounding off on lots of junk signals and I learned there used to be a garage where the conc. pkng lot is now. Carefully gridding from different directions and a +8 came up with a good hard signal, brushing away the snow revealed this gorgeous specimen that had been been driven over and had we not moved the car would not have found it! I mentioned to them to take the ring where they got it and check that the diamonds had not loosened up due to the impact of driving on it. They were so thrilled and it made the new year even better and something to look back on when they wed in September 2018!
