Lost ring in car in Orlando, Florida….Found and returned to happy owner!

Got a call from Christine who asked if I could possible help her find her diamond engagement ring which fell in her car by the drivers seat and somehow just disappeared! Her husband tried looking for it with a flashlight and literally bruised and scraped up both hands while sticking his fingers into the small cracks and crevices trying his best to locate his dear wife’s lost ring. They even took it to the Mazda dealer and they removed the seat and searched for the ring as well but were unable to find her lost engagement ring. Christine was very distraught over the whole ordeal and went online to look for some help and stumbled onto theringfinders.com. She was fascinated that there actually existed a unique service of ring finding specialists who recover lost ring on land, in the water, in cars and most anyplace imaginable. She called me and I came the next day with my equipment and began my search. My main tool of choice for these types of searches is an endoscope that is ideal for looking in tiny, restricted areas. Under Christine’s car seat there was only one slit in the carpet where electrical wires go to control the seat adjustments. It took about 20 minutes and at one point I saw a penny that was in a small grooved area and further back behind the penny I saw a sparkling reflection that could only be Christine’s diamond ring. I then rigged up a thin cooper wire with a small hook on the end and carefully worked it along the cable of my endoscope and gently and very slowly pulled her ring out to where I could grab it with my fingers. I handed the ring to Christine’s husband and said, “How should we surprise Christine?”. Just then Christine came out of the house and asked how it was going. So I casually said, “Well I did find a penny…..and then I found this hiding behind the penny!”. Christine could not hold back the tears…only these were tears of JOY!!

Thanks Christine for calling me and allowing me to help you find your precious engagement ring!

John Jr. called me from Flagler Beach on Mothers Day to ask for my help! You see, his wife had wrapped her engagement ring in her shirt and left it on the beach towel as they swam and enjoyed the Florida sun, sand and ocean water. (This was their last day in Florida and they needed to return their rental car and catch a plane to Chicago later on in the day.). So when the time came to pack everything up they grabbed the beach chairs, umbrella, towels, coolers and their items of clothing like T-shirts, sandals and a certain shirt all neatly rolled up! Unfortunately they forgot that John’s wife’s engagement ring was tucked away inside and when they shook the sand out of the shirt, the ring went flying into the soft coquina sand! They frantically searched for some time by dragging their fingers through the sand hoping to catch a glimpse of the platinum ring and someone suggested looking online for some help and that is what led John Jr to give me a call. Here is what John’s father wrote…”I am so grateful for Mike McInroe and for his services today. He traveled more than 80 miles on Mothers Day to locate a precious engagement ring that my son and daughter in law misplaced in the sand at Flagler Beach. He quickly located the ring that we had desperately searched for, for over an hour. Mike is a master at his craft and is a true man of integrity. Thanks again Mike! John Davis”

How I thank God for allowing me the amazing opportunity and privilege to help John and many others like him!

I was called to help Will and Rachel look for their lost diamond engagement ring and they described to me that it went flying across the yard and was nowhere to be found! (Every search for rings is completely different and this one was no exception!). Will told me that he had even bought himself a cheap metal detector and spent a few frustrating hours trying to figure out how to operate the machine. Later that evening they decided to go online and search for someone to help them and they discovered theringfinders.com website. He read some of my stories and decided to give me a call and that led to meeting up the next day at their home. On this occasion I decided to invite my dear wife, of 42 years, to go along and she agreed to accompany me! Will and Rachel were very pleasant, friendly and super thankful to have more help in their desperate search and after a few minutes I began my systematic grid search of the front yard. I spent over an hour covering the whole front lawn, the flower beds, the neighbors yard and even out into the street….and no ring! It was there somewhere but I just could not seem to find it. I mentioned to my dear wife to take Rachel and look over the street really good and then to check the other side of the road as well. A few minutes later we heard Rachel let out a scream, “I found It!”! And sure enough there it was on the edge of the street laying plainly in the open so anyone could see it…waiting for Rachel to come along and pick it up! How I thank God for allowing us to be a help and encouragement to Will and Rachel and to see them smiling and happy once again!

Call or text me ASAP and lets talk about how I can help you!

Lost diamond engagement ring in the grass in Ocoee, Florida…Found and happily returned to owner!

How does an engagement ring end up in the thick grass? There are literally dozens of ways that rings can get lost in someones yard and on this occasion Annie and her husband had just pulled up into their drive way and were getting out of their car when Annie’s hands were feeling a bit swollen due to the summer humidity. She wanted to remove her rings before going inside and she tried pulling her rings off and all of a sudden they both just popped off and went flying into the grass. Here is a short text from her husband of that shocking experience. “My wife dropped her wedding band and engagement ring in our yard. We found the wedding band but not the engagement ring. We bought a metal detector and spent a whole day searching with no luck. We were stressed and anxious. I texted Mike and he made time to come see us the very next day. He was very professional and kind. I showed him the area and he found it in less than 5 minutes! Don’t waste your time and money on a metal detector when you can ask Mike! I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends! Thank you Mike!”

Actually feeling your rings come off and knowing the exact area where they landed is a huge help in trying to find and recover your lost rings. It was an honor to help Huy and his dear wife and I thank God for giving me the privilege to help them and anyone else who asks for my help! I do not find every ring that I am asked to look for but I always try my very best and assure people to never give up hope!

How can I help you or someone you know?

Lost gold wedding ring, found in Lake Eola Park, Orlando, Fl…..Found with a metal detector!

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys or other metal object….Call or text Mike McInroe at 321-363-6029 ASAP! I am a ring recovery specialist serving all of central Florida and beyond!

Here is Patsy’s story in her own words! “On Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023 my husband and I were visiting our son in Orlando, Florida where we lived previously for 20 years. We now live in Tennessee. This was our BIG two week vacation with a trip to Miami to see our daughter and then on to Fort Lauderdale for a 9 day cruise! While in Orlando we went to Mass at St James Cathedral, and walked to it from our hotel near the Florida Hospital. We forgot how humid Orlando is and by the time we arrived at Church, both of us had swollen hands from the walking and the humidity. My wedding band started to feel tight and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it off, so I wrangled it off as we left church. We saw a festival going on next door at Lake Eola Park and headed that way. Previously I had put my ring in my fanny pack and double checked to make sure it was in properly. It was. When we arrived at the park, a number of tents were selling various foods and candied pecans which looked so good to me. So being cautious (I thought) I stepped over under a couple of trees, opened up my fanny pack and pulled out some cash for the nuts. Later that evening, when it had cooled down, I thought it would be safe to put my wedding ring back on. Except there was no wedding band to be found. Not in the fanny pack, not on the floor, no where! We asked our son and his girlfriend to come back to the park with us and look around, which we did. NO RING! Nothing like feeling sick about a loss the first day of our vacation! But I was determined it was not going to ruin things and I soldiered on. We went to Miami the following day and I remembered reading about volunteers throughout the country who use metal detectors to find lost items. So, from the hotel in Miami, I looked for someone in Orlando I could contact and found Mike McInroe! I texted him late and he responded right away, asking for details and maps. Since I was unable to take a screen shot on the hotel computer, I hand drew a couple of little maps with notes and arrows, took photos of them and sent them off to Mike. I wasn’t in Orlando and I could only tell him what I remembered. He was extraordinarily patient, asking clarifying questions and said he would give it a shot, even though we both knew the odds were stacked against us. And to top it off we would be unable to use internet on the ship although we could receive text messages in some areas. I checked periodically but saw nothing from Mike. I thought he had given up and was waiting to tell me the bad news once I returned home. Then when we landed in Atlanta, about 40 text messages came through, even though we were in Florida for a few hours before we flew back from Fort Lauderdale. Why they didn’t come through then I have no clue. But there was one from Mike, with a photo of my ring and the great news that he had found it! I cannot tell you how excited I was. Even though I only got married in 2017 it was my first marriage, making it all the more special because we bought our rings in Ireland! I am still amazed and in awe of the outcome. Mike has such a positive attitude and calm demeanor, that I could have handled it even if he had not found my lost ring. But he DID FIND IT!! He sent it by UPS to me in Tennessee and that is my Happy Ending! And frankly, an amazing story to tell my friends and family who don’t believe we actually got our lost ring back! Thank you Mike!”

How I thank God for allowing me to find and return Patsy’s lost wedding ring! Feel free to call me and let me know how I can possibly help you find something you have lost….it never hurts to ask! Even if it was lost years ago and you know of the approximate location, like in your yard, at the park, etc…

If you need help finding a lost metallic keepsake or item call or text me ASAP and let’s talk! Mike McInroe…321-363-6029

Mrs Jocelyn was enjoying a beautiful day at Wekiva Falls and spent most of the day floating in the cool water while her kids and grandson played in the deeper waters of the spring where the slide was located. Towards the end of their swim Jocelyn needed some help getting out of her tube and up the bank and she noticed her diamond rings were missing from her finger. She immediately called her family to help look for her rings in the shallow water but it was nowhere to be found and that is when they called me. Jocelyn wrote,”While spending time with family in Sorrento at Wekiva Falls RV Resort, Florida I lost the wedding ring set that has been in my family for generations! I gave Mike McInroe a call! I found him on a Google search through Theringfinders and he said he wanted to come out that night instead of waiting until morning. I was comforted by Mike’s smile as soon as I met him! We showed him the area we were in and Praise God, within 10 minutes of searching he found my lost ring set! Mike was so kind and sweet. If I could give him an infinite amount of stars it wouldn’t be enough! I just can’t thank him enough!”

It was truly an honor to help Mrs Jocelyn and her family!

Lost Diamond in grass, Orlando, Florida…..Found with metal detector!

In Tina’s own words, she says,”Saturday, March 11th I brought the dog out to do his business. He was taking his sweet time and as I was waiting for him I started fidgeting with my diamond ring, as I often do! With the first twirl around my finger I felt the diamond pop off of my ring. I was sure it just dropped straight down into the grass. I hurried the dog back inside and then returned to where I was standing so I could get a better look at the ground. It was no where to be found! I then woke up my husband and my son and they both rushed outside to help me look for my lost diamond. We even had a couple of our neighbors join in the hunt as well. After approximately 5 hours we decided to borrow a friend’s metal detector and we dug up a good section of our yard, but we had NO LUCK! We then waited until it got dark and went back out with a couple of strong flash lights to see if we could catch a glimmer of the diamond sparkling in the light but even that failed! It made it more difficult since it was just the diamond, with the prongs still attached and not the whole ring. So after exhausting all the suggestions we could think of I tried the internet and Googled “How to find a diamond in the grass”! Then I came across theringfinders.com! There were a couple of Ring finder members in the Orlando area so I went with the one who had the most successful recoveries! I called Mike McInroe shortly after 12 noon and he was able to come by our house around 4:30pm that same day! He thoroughly searched the immediate area and after two hours my husband and I were starting to give up hope. And then all of a sudden Mike came over to me with my diamond in his hand!!! We were so so very thankful! It was truly a blessing that I found him on line and that he was able to find my precious diamond. We couldn’t thank him enough!”

Lost wedding ring in grass, Palm Coast, Florida…..Found!

Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful time to get together with your family and celebrate all the things we have to be thankful for! Tanner and his wife were enjoying a relaxing afternoon at his sisters home and decided to play a little baseball in the backyard with the nephews. They got out the baseball gloves and right away Tanner noticed that his glove fit sort of tight on his hand. After an hour or so it was time to eat and it was then that he realized his wedding ring was not on his finger. So the first place he looked was in the glove he had been wearing–and no ring! Part of the time they had used the glove as a base so they searched around the area where it was on the ground—and no ring there either! They tried raking the grass to see if they could spot it using that method and after a while they realized how hard it was going to be to find such a small item! Someone even brought out a cheaper model metal detector and it just seemed to beep all the time and left them even more frustrated.

Two days later Tanner’s sister, Hilary, went online and found “theringfinders.com” and decided to give me a call. I met Tanner and some of the family members there at Hilary’s home and they showed me the area in the back yard where they played and where most of the action took place. I set up my small flags and started doing my usual grid search, slowly going back and forth trying to cover every inch of the yard so as not to miss Tanner’s lost ring. Right away I detected various targets, mostly deeper items that were lost months or possibly years ago. I was looking for a recent drop which should be just below the blades of grass or maybe pressed into the dirt ever so slightly. Ten minutes into my search I got a choppy signal, reading 4 to 6 inches deep that really did not sound like what I was looking for. Still I had to be sure and as I parted the grass with the toe of my boot….I caught a glimpse of something black and round! Bingo!! I motioned to Tanner to come over and check out what I had found and he was super surprised and very relieved to see his lost wedding ring hiding in the grass and so close to where they all had spent so much time looking!

What an honor and privilege it was to be able to help find and return his lost ring!

Lost family heirloom diamond ring in Atlantic Ocean, Ormond Beach, Florida….found with metal detector!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Jade and her family’s Labor Day get away to the beach started out great! They arrived at the beach early and got their things all set out and could not wait to get into the warm ocean surf. Everyone was enjoying the water even though the waves were a bit rough…still it was the perfect day to enjoy the water, sand and sun! As they made their way deeper into the water Jade’s husband noticed that Jade was wearing the precious diamond heirloom ring that his grand mother had passed down to his own mother and then she had passed it on to Jade when they got married! With the hope of one day passing it on to their son, Everetts, when he gets married. Jade was sure the ring fit snug enough to not have to worry about loosing it and as she pulled on the ring to show that it was tight…off it came and dropped straight into the churning wave tossed waters!

Shocked beyond belief she let out a scream and immediately everyone came to help her locate the ring! Even when knowing exactly where it fell into the water it turned out to be so much more difficult to locate then they had ever imagined! Hours passed and they drove to a nearby store to purchase a metal detector and tried it but ended up shorting out the headphones as it was not a water proof metal detector!

Meanwhile, Jade’s son Everett found “theringfinders.com website” on his phone and decided to call me for help. As I listened to what had happened and the fact that they were very sure of the exact location where the ring had dropped, I offered to come out right away and do whatever I could to help them. Even though the surf was rough and the waves were fairly big I felt that her ring would be where it fell even through to the next low tide cycle. I asked Jade what the sand felt like under her feet while they were looking for her lost ring…soft or hard packed? She said soft in some places and hard in other places. And with that info I knew I had to search ASAP and I could not afford to wait till the next days low tide. It was around 5:30 pm Monday evening and low tide was coming up at around 11:30pm and I determined to search under an overcast moon and trust that by God’s grace I would be able to find Jade’s lost ring before it sunk too deep!

Under normal daylight hours I am able to use small wire survey flags to mark the sand and then by lining the two rows of flags up I am able to back my way into the surf and use the flags to help me go out and come back in a straight line. Once I get out as far as I can safely go I then take two steps over and walk out keeping myself lined up just about four feet off of where I went into the water. But in the middle of the night on a dark beach there is no way to visually see my flags! So as I was passing the time waiting for the next low tide I walked across the Ocean Shore Blvd. to the Dollar Store and began walking the isles to see what I could use to mark my path and progress. Thankfully they had some Halloween decorations out and I came across some 8 inch long glow sticks! I was able to use the two glow sticks to keep me lined up and began my night time search about 10:00 pm and little by little I backed my way out into the dark waters as far as I could safely go and the two glow sticks worked like a charm!

Earlier in the day as I was waiting for it to get dark I detected on the dry sand just to see if anyone had dropped anything and I used up a couple of hours of battery life!!! Not smart!! Reason being as I only have one battery and it lasts maybe 5 hours total! I water hunt using the Whites TDI Beachhunter and hip mount the box and it works great! Normally that is about all I can handle when working in and out of the surf in the hot sun and fighting against the current and waves!

After an hour and a half of covering the main target area I noticed my low battery light had come on and my detector started making the usual odd sound. I felt I was really close to the actual spot where she said the ring was dropped and now my battery was dying! I prayed and asked my heavenly Father to help my detector last just long enough to be able to find Jade’s lost heirloom ring! God then gave me the idea to go sideways out as far as I could where it was just over my waist and the sandy bottom had areas where it dropped away a foot or so. Fifteen minutes later I got a funny signal that sounded much like sunglasses sound only distorted like. I dug three scoops trying to retrieve the curious item. Actually it was the only signal I had gotten all the while and as I shook out the sand my head lamp lit up the scoop and there to my utter amazement was Jade’s precious lost ring! Words cannot express my joy and the emotion I felt and I let out a loud prayer of thanksgiving to my Father God!

I could not wait to get to the car and dry off and send Jade the good news! We talked and I assured them that we could meet anytime in the next day or two to pick up their precious ring! Early the next morning Jade arrived at our home and I was able to personally hand her the ring she thought was lost forever in the churning waters of the Atlantic Ocean! Google gave them a very, very slim chance of ever seeing their ring again but thankfully God came through and used little ol me to help them out of a desperate situation! And I am so thankful they gave me a call and trusted me to do what I could in their time of need!

Have you lost something and need help trying to find it? Call or text me ASAP…I am only a call away!

Marybeth was playing with her children in the back yard throwing water balloons and as she raised her hand to catch one that was thrown in her direction it hit her in the left palm just right and knocked her precious wedding ring right off of her finger. She actually felt her ring come off and immediately she began to look in the grass around her. Unfortunately the type of grass was our famous St. Augustine grass that is super thick and is known to swallow up rings and the like!
She spent a few hours on her hands and knees looking and feeling through the grass desperately hoping to find her lost ring. Realizing the futility of trying to spot it with her eyes she began thinking that maybe a metal detector would be the proper tool for the job. Her first thought was to see if there was somewhere that would rent her a metal detector for the day and after typing “Metal Detector Rental” on her phone….up popped “theringfinders.com” website and one of my stories!
Later that day I met Marybeth and she showed me the exact spot where she was standing and it only took a few swings of my Garrett AT Max metal detector and Bingo!!! What a privilege it was to help Marybeth find her lost ring!
