FOUND! Lost Wedding Band Avalon NJ

I received a call from Meg who told me she dropped her wedding band in the sand in Avalon, NJ. After speaking to her and asking several questions about where and how she lost it, I started my search. I detected for about 40 minutes without any luck. Since she knew exactly where she dropped the ring, I knew it couldn’t be in the sand and had to be somewhere else. I asked her to check her bag again and sure enough it was there. It must have fallen into something inside the beach bag. The ring was found in the last place that we looked and went right back on her finger!

Found! Engagement Ring And Wedding Bands North Wildwood NJ

from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

Jennifer was on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ this afternoon when she had the misfortune of having her engagement ring and wedding bands slip off of her finger into the ocean during high tide while helping one of children with a towel.  I met with Anna, Jennifer’s mom, and started a search after asking several questions about the lost rings. After about 25 minutes detecting in the ocean, the engagement ring was found approximately 6 inches deep.  The other 2 rings were found in the surf just minutes later approximately 25 feet from the engagement ring. The rings are very sentimental to Jennifer, so she and her family were overwhelmed when they were recovered. Thanks goes out fellow Ring Finder Jeff Lagg for the referral.

Lost Wedding Ring on Beach in LBI,ShipBottom,New Jersey Recovered!

I received a message on my Facebook page NJ Lost Ring Finder from a woman whose husband had lost his gold wedding ring on the beach while they were watching an event. She knew the general area that they were in and knew that he had it on while they were there but when they got home it was gone? I decided to head down the next morning for a couple hours after work and get a search in before the crowds would start to arrive. Arriving at the entrance way to the beach I looked out and seen the area she had described and figured I would start there. Some time had passed and after digging a bunch of deep targets with my White’s TDI Beach Hunter PI metal detector I was still without the ring and the crowds had started filling the area so I had to quit for the day. The following day I arrived a little before sunrise to give it another try and expand the search area as I thought maybe the beach grading tractor had possibly moved the ring further on the beach. Well my theory was right as approached the next block down I received a signal deep in the sand and after a few scoops I had the ring! The tractor must of not only moved the ring but also plowed it deeper in the sand. I made a call to the very amazed and happy wife and was able to meet with her father on my way home. Another great day!  Recovery#121

I received a call from a couple asking for my help to find a family crest ring that was lost on the beach earlier that day. The guy had taken it off to go swimming and put it in a handbag but somehow it had fallen out when they left. He explained that everyone in his family has the same ring bearing their family crest so it really meant a lot to him.

We arrived at the spot where they had been sitting on the beach and I marked off a 20 x 20 area and began to search the area with my White’s Beach Hunter ID metal detector. After a few coins and trash items I received a good solid gold signal and scooped up the sand and spotted his ring in my scoop! The couple was sitting nearby hoping the ring to be found and as I held it in the air I could see the relief on their faces. Another great day! Recovery #104

I received a call from Mark who explained that he had lost his platinum wedding band on the beach a few days before his wedding anniversary which was inscribed in the ring. He stated that he had taken the ring off and put it in the cup holder of his chair so he could go swimming and not lose it,well that didn’t workout to well as he noticed it was gone when he relocated his chair as the tide was coming in. After getting the beach location and time of day of the lose I was able to get the location the following morning. After a couple hours of searching with nothing but coins and trash in my pouch I decided to move closer to the water even though he stated he was not too far down and within a few minutes I received a good solid signal from my metal detector. Scooping up some sand and washing it out I could see the ring in my scoop! looking closer I could see the inscribed wedding date 7-25-08 which was also the date at which I found it 7-25-17! moments later I called Mark who was celebrating his anniversary nearby in Atlantic city with his wife. He was so happy to hear the great news but his wife was even happier and crying and so thankful for my help. We met the following week and Mark was very happy to have his wedding ring back on his finger! Another Great Recovery #99!

While having dinner at a local beach restaurant I received a message from a friend about a post on a site regarding a lost wedding ring at the beach earlier that day. After making contact with the owners they stated that it was lost later in the afternoon during high tide while playing with the kids in waist deep water. One of the kids accidentally kicked him in the hand and the ring fell off and he explained that she felt horrible about it.  Now since it was hours later and the tide was now going out I explained this would be the best time to meet at the beach even though it was night time. They knew it was lost right in front of the lifeguard stand so once we met at the beach we headed to that area. Since the waves were a little rough that day I started my grid pattern at one side up higher on the slope working towards the other side and following down to the waters edge as the tide went out. After a few trash targets and a couple coins I got a nice gold tone on my White’s beach Hunter ID and scooped up the wet sand rinsing it in the water revealing the gold wedding band in the scoop! I called the couple over as they were trying to find it with a flashlight in the water frantically and held the ring up stating “I got it!” They’re look of amazement and relief was awesome and couldn’t wait to tell the girl they got it back. Another very happy couple was able to get back to enjoying their vacation!      #97 lost ring recovery!

I received a call while I was on vacation in Long beach Island,NJ from a woman just a few towns away in Brigantine beach seeking my help in locating her lost ring in the sand. She explained that she had taken the ring off to apply sunscreen and sat it on her lap or towel and forgot to put it back on and then noticed it was gone! At the time I was just financing up a search for a mens lost wedding ring that was unsuccessful and that I would be right down to help her out. Arriving at the site on the beach where they were still sitting we picked up their belongings and I began the search with my White’s Beach Hunter id metal detector. After about 10 minutes and digging a few trash items I received a nice solid midtown from the detector and scooped up some sand and found the ring in the bottom of my scoop! Watching me work the area they were amazed with the recovery and the equipment and were very thankful for my service. Lost Family Heirloom Diamond Ring On Beach In Avalon,NJ Recovered By Ed Cropski

I received a call from a woman stating that she had lost her diamond eternity ring on the beach earlier today and was hoping I could try to recover it for her. She had a general idea where the ring may be and explained that she had taken it off to put sunscreen on and sat the ring on her lap and later when she got back to the beach house she realized she never put it back on. I told her I could be there within an hour. She was worried with it getting late and it getting dark soon it would be a problem however I told her although its easier with daylight its not necessary since my metal detector has a target indication light system on it along with headphones for the sound so I could still do the search. Upon arrival at the beach, her husband and friend where already on the beach and trying to find the ring by eye and showed me the area where they been sitting earlier that day. I handed her husband 4 red glow sticks and asked him to make a box the size of the general area which was about 30’x30′. As I was explaining my search process her husband informed me that some of the diamonds in the ring were from her mothers ring and are irreplaceable so it would mean the world to her if I could find it. He stated that the ring was platinum and had large diamonds all the way around. I told him I would do my best and began my grid search within the designated area. After 20 minutes and digging a few coins and trash items I received a nice sound mid tone accompanied by a yellow light on my White’s Beach Hunter id 300 detector and proceeded to push my scoop into the sand to retrieve the target. Turning on my headlight and raising my scoop I looked in and there was her ring. A beautiful diamond ring with very large diamonds all the way around. Her husband and friend were watching from a nearby lifeguard stand and I held the the ring up and stated I think I have what we are looking for! They jumped down and ran over with total relief and amazement and couldn’t wait for us to get back to the house to his distraught wife with the great news. We entered the house and he introduced me and held out the ring. What a look on her face as she focused on her ring. She went on to tell me how much it means to her and the story behind the ring with her mothers diamonds. It was absolutely Priceless to be able to bring the smile back to her face after worrying since she lost it hours earlier. Another great recovery,Another great day!IMG_3016 2IMG_3019
