I got a text from Britt whose husband had lost his wedding ring. He believed he lost it while installing sprinkler piping in their yard. I let her know that I would be able to a search for them, but she said she would let me know if they needed my services. That was on a Monday, and on Friday she contacted me again letting me know they would like me to give it a try, so we agreed on a day and time to meet at their house.

When I got there Britt and her husband Chris met me, and Chris showed me the area he believed the ring was possibly lost. I began on one side of the yard hearing a lot of iron, and a few squeaks that were possibly good, but after exploring, no ring. As I continued my search Chris was helping dig each signal, which after not finding the ring each time might have been a bit disheartening. It wasn’t until we got to the end of the pipe that a good signal came through the head phones, and Chris dug. As soon as he pulled the clod out of the spot, I saw his ring, and reached in to get it for him. Both he and Britt were very excited. It was then that I learned they had purchased a detector, and had already done a search themselves which caused a lot of frustration with all the iron in the ground. It was a real pleasure to have been able to help them with this recovery.

I received a call from Armen in the afternoon asking for help in finding a lost wedding ring. His wife had been brushing sand off of her clothes, when her ring flew off of her finger, and disappeared into the soft beach sand. It had just happened, so I let them know I was on my way in order to have the best possibility of a recovery.

When I got to the beach Armen met me, and took me out to the area of the loss. I could see they had searched a good 20 x 20 foot area of the sand, but to no avail. I began my search in one direction to cover the small area they searched earlier, and found a quarter, and a dime, but no ring. Then focused on the larger area beginning to the side of where his wife had been standing, and got that strong signal in my head phones, scooped, and there in the bottom of the scoop was a beautiful gold and diamond ring which I held up for them. They were so happy to see it again, wondering why it was so hard for them to find. Sometimes it takes the right equipment along with the experience in using it to have a successful recovery. They slept well that night I am sure.

A Race Against Time: Recovering Lost Rings on the Ventura Beach

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Yesterday, a distress call from Ryan pierced through the ordinary, signaling a dire predicament: her engagement and wedding rings, cherished symbols of love and commitment, had vanished into the sands of Ventura’s sun-kissed beaches. Despite the day-old loss and her return to Orange County, hope flickered as she reached out for aid.

With urgency fueling my every move, I set forth on a mission to reclaim what was lost. However, the scorching heat of the season’s hottest day had drawn hordes of beachgoers, complicating the search for the precious rings amidst the crowded shoreline. Patience became paramount as I navigated through the throngs, awaiting the opportune moment to scour the sands.

Amidst the sea of people and the metallic symphony of discarded bottle caps, tabs, and foil, I meticulously combed through the designated area, relentlessly sifting through debris in pursuit of Ryan’s cherished symbols of love. A glimmer of hope emerged as my metal detector emitted a promising tone, leading me to an unexpected discovery—a ring nestled beneath layers of sand and concealed by a rock.

Though only one of the rings had been recovered, its significance transcended the missing wedding band. Adorned with a diamond passed down through generations, its recovery ignited tears of relief and gratitude from Ryan, a testament to the invaluable sentiment attached to lost jewelry.

Ensuring the safe delivery of the retrieved ring to Ryan’s sister in Ventura, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact of reunification with a cherished heirloom. If you find yourself in a similar plight, don’t hesitate to reach out at 805-290-5009. With expertise in professional metal detection and a relentless commitment to recovery, I stand ready to assist in the search for lost rings and jewelry, offering hope in the face of uncertainty.

Gold men’s wedding band lost in the grass at Boynton Beach, Florida Found and returned to owner.

I met my customer . he said that he was waving his hand to one of his friends and his ring flew off. he was saying that it flew about 20 feet. but after searching for a while there I asked more questions. I found that it must not have gone that far. so I reexamined the area closer. I   was only getting a target that sounded like a penny.  but guess what after checking the target out .. it was his ring. he was very happy. and left me this beautiful testimonial.

Testimonial……………………………………………..

Gold and Jeweled Butterfly Ring Lost in Ice Plant in Redondo Beach…Found and Joyfully Returned.

I received a call about a lost ring in ice plant at the beach. Michelle had been walking along the strand with her date near sunset, when a bug flew near her causing her to swat at it with the hand which held the Mother’s Day ring she had bought for herself the day before. When she flicked her wrist, the ring flew off of her finger into the thick ice plant, and was gone. It was getting dark, but I let her know that I was on my way for the search.

I got to the beach, and Michelle and her date explained what had happened regarding the loss. They had the area nailed down to within a few feet which made the search doable in the dark. I began using my detector over the ice plant hoping the ring did not go too deep into the foliage. I covered all the area they had showed me, then began to move outward. As I moved further away I finally got a signal, although not a very solid one. It was good, but had a scratchy sound to it, not repeatable, but I investigated anyway. When I looked into the ice plant I saw the glint of gold, reached in, and pulled out a beautiful ring which I held out for Michelle. I realized when I saw the ring, why I was getting such a confused signal, it was because the ring was not concentric, but was split where the two butterflies came together. Needless to say Michelle was very happy to have the ring back, and was able to continue her date that evening. I was so very happy to have helped!

I was sitting at home relaxing when Tanya called. She told me how her husband was playing with their children when with a flick of the wrist his ring flew off, and was lost in the sand. Her husband Rob has been the fortunate benefactor of some recent weight loss, and had not had the opportunity to have his ring resized, so the ring came off easily. I let them know I was on my way.

I got to the beach in good time, as traffic was flowing well in my direction. Rob and Tanya saw me getting out of my vehicle, and waved. I got right over to the area, and listened as they explained what had happened. The area where they thought the loss occurred was quite small. I turned on the detector, swung a couple of times when I got a good strong signal, I scooped the sand, and there in the bottom of the scoop was Rob’s ring. A quick search for sure, but without the proper equipment, many times a futile one. Smiles all around this day!

I received a text from Chris regarding the loss of his wife’s wedding ring in the sand. She had lost two rings, her engagement ring and wedding ring after having removed them to put sunscreen on. She placed them on a towel next to her, and then forgetting they were there moved the towel, and the rings were gone. They were able to find the engagement ring, but not the wedding ring. I left immediately knowing the sooner the search the better the chance of a recovery.

When I got to the beach, I quickly found Chris and his wife Aura. They explained what had happened, and showed me the area (which wasn’t very big) where the loss occurred. We moved some of the beach things they had there like the aluminum beach chair, in order to facilitate a search with no interference. I set up and swung about 3 times, got a great signal, dug, and had a pretty ring in my scoop. Aura told me how they had gone to Venice, Italy to get married, and that their Priest had given her ring special blessing, so to lose this token of their love for each other was heart breaking for them. It is such a great thing to be a happy part of people’s lives in returning to them what they think might be lost forever!

David contacted me asking if I would be able to help find his wife’s engagement ring that was lost in the beach sand. She had been digging in the sand with her child, and then all of a sudden realized her ring was no longer on her finger. I closed up and put away my dinner that I was eating, and headed right out to do the search knowing that this beach is detected all the time.

When I got to the beach, David met me and explained what had happened. There were two areas of concern, so I began in the first one he showed me. I did a completed grid of that area with no ring, so I went over to the next spot. As I went to the next spot, I made sure to search all the way over, just in case the ring had come off somewhere in between. I got to the second area, swung twice, got a real good signal, dug, and in my scoop, was a beautiful ring that I held up for David and his wife who got so excited to see again what she was thinking was lost forever. David told me that he had saved for 4 years to get that ring for his bride, so this recovery had much significance. A very happy day!

I got a call from a concerned homeowner whose son had hammered a bunch of nails into the ground from his little carpenter set. Apparently another child had been injured by one of the nails the previous day, and he wanted to try and make sure that all of the nails were removed from the grass before someone else got hurt. I came right over at our arranged time.

When I got to the house I was shown the yard, and the nails I was to be looking for, and began searching for them. To the homeowner’s surprise, I was also finding a lot of old rusted nails and screws as well. The yard wasn’t very big, but I found quite a lot of the dangerous items, all on the surface. He was very happy to know that the yard was going to be a safer place for his child to play.
