Lost ring in yard Bristol Tennessee…Found

  • from Johnson City (Tennessee, United States)

I received a call from a client who lost her ring in the yard. They had cut the grass as low as they could and searched everywhere for it. After searching for an hour I found the ring. It had fallen in a whole where a tree was removed. This was a more difficult search and I had already gone over the yard once but persistence pays off.

Lost White Gold Men’s Wedding Band in the Snow Found in Garden City Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

A Ruff Day…..

..Actually began for Travis Tuesday night when he took his dogs into the back yard and started to play in the snow. Toys were thrown and fetched and then snowballs tossed for the hounds to catch. After the wonder-fur time and frosty paws, with tails wagging the dogs went back into the house for the night as Travis shoveled snow off the deck. Early Wednesday, I got a text explaining that his ring was lost. I started to grid search with my MXT metal detector and got some junk signals but near the garage the detector signaled precious metal. Brushing the snow aside revealed Travis’ ring! He came over, we pawsed for a moment looking at it then he lifted the ring from the snow. Also very happy with the pawsitive outcome of the search, the dogs gave 4 paws up on the ulti-mutt recovery…….if you’re happy and you know it, clap your paws!

This ring find broke my heart and made me smile at the same time. Her husband had passed due to illness and she lost the ring while working in the yard. She had searched for weeks looking for it with no luck. After an hour of detecting I found it. Overwhelmed with joy she was moved to tears.

Lost a ring? Don’t wait to call!

I received a call from Donna after she lost an extremely sentimental piece of jewelry that was given to her by her husband. It was a bracelet that she wore regularly. She had it on earlier in the day when she walked her dog in Longport, NJ. Later that afternoon, she spent time on the beach with some friends. It wasn’t until later that evening that she realized her Cartier LOVE bracelet was out on the beach somewhere since she couldn’t find it in the house. Donna saw that I found another lost ring in Longport, NJ, and gave me a call. We met at the beach and I started a search. Shortly after combing the areas, the metal detector gave a sweet tone. I reached down, brushed some sand away and saw something shimmer. I reached down and pulled out the beautiful Cartier LOVE bracelet. Donna was ecstatic, yet surprised, the bracelet was found!

Lost ring Knoxville TN…Found

  • from Johnson City (Tennessee, United States)

Had a lady contact me regarding her lost rings. She let her kid use them as he was practicing to be a ring bearer. After they got home she realized he did not have them. She was concerned that a metal detector would not pick them up as they were platinum rings. I assured her the detector would have no problems if the rings were in the grass.

Lost ring in Watauga Lake Elizabethton TN… Found

  • from Johnson City (Tennessee, United States)

Had a client call me. He took his family to the lake for a swim and lost his wedding ring while swimming.  I met up with him and we took a boat to the spot where he thought it was at. After an hour of searching in 10-15 feet of water and running very low on air I found his ring.

Lost Rose Gold Promise Ring at Paki Park Playground…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Ijah who lives in Honolulu with his lovely wife Alison.  After enjoying a day at Paki Park Playground with their son, Alison was leaving and as she picked up her bag her two rings fell into the grass and disappeared.  She had taken them off to apply sunscreen and had placed them on the bag for safe keeping.  Ijah & Alison were able to find the Engagement Ring but not the sentimental rose gold promise ring.  I asked him if the grass in the park was long or short and when we could meet.  He told me he was heading there again to hunt some more so I told him I’d head over after my business appointment.  When I called to let Ijah know I was on my way, he told me that the grass was recently mowed, probably that morning.  My heart sunk thinking the mower would either slaughter the ring or throw it into infinity.  I told Ijah to expect the worst and pray for the best I was still going to hunt.  When I arrived I was able to street park right at the lost ring spot.  Ijah had placed a plastic bear where they had found the one ring already.  I started my grid search there.  I had a few false targets probably EMI then a boomer on the Manticore.  The grass was fairly thick so I stooped down with my pinpointer and as it went off the probe exposed a shiny rose gold ring.  Got it Ijah!  Wow! I can’t believe it!  That was so fast.  Ijah called his wife over to show her and she was obviously relieved after searching for two days.  We said a few pleasantries and handshakes then I walked away thankful the mower failed to ruin the hunt.  Aloha to Alison & Ijah!

It was a nice sunny summer day when a gentleman called for assistance. He had been in his back yard hanging out with his dog. When his furry critter ran past him his hands were out along side of the dog when he felt his wedding band slip off his finger. Any of us wold he spent over an hour on his hands and knees poking by hand through his lawn with no success.

I arived quickly after our phone conversation ready for the hunt. These may be quick recoveries but after having looked for hours knowing that your wedding ring is right there and not being able to turn it up can become very frustrating.

Having no equipment or experience with a metal detector he made the best choice in calling upon an experienced Lost Item Recovery Specialist. Having the proper experience and equipment on hand the Seattle Ring Hunter recovered his ring and got a smile back on his face.

Lost I-phone 11 In Terwillegar Towne Neighbourhood Park, Edmonton Alberta

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

Hanna called requesting my assistance to help locate her I-phone 11 lost while walking and playing with her dog in the a school playing field. I agreed to meet her after asking my usual questions! Meet Hanna at the park and she showed me the direction she took also told me she had a few friends with her looking for her phone for a few hrs the night before but could not find her phone.  What made the search more difficult for them was the I phone had a white protective case and laying in the snow making it hard to see also her phone was on silent and find my phone app was not turned on.  After about one hour we located her I-Phone which made Hanna very happy.

Still at it!

  • from Lynnfield (Massachusetts, United States)

It’s been a while since I posted, so I figured I would at least let people know I’m still at it! I often get called from people asking if I’m still doing this, and I thought maybe it’s because my last post was from a few years ago.

It’s always interesting how the calls for lost rings come in waves. Lots of calls during beach season, then a slow period until leaf cleanup (!!), then again during snow shoveling season. Regardless of the case, I have the equipment and experience to help whatever the situation. Leave me a message and I’ll always get back to you. Usually with lots of questions:

  • Where was the item lost (public or private area)
  • If it’s not your property, do you have permission from the land owner to search the area?
  • What is the size of the area? (pictures always help). This helps me estimate how much time we’ll need to try and locate the item. I don’t charge by the hour, but I won’t be comfortable coming out if I don’t think I have enough time to thoroughly search the whole area.
  • What’s your availability?

I also get a lot of calls for rings lost indoors, inside vehicles, or even inside dumpsters! Unfortunately in those cases my eyes are as good as yours. Metal detectors are fairly useless in these situations, so you’re best off retracing your steps (which I can’t do!).

People also ask about fees up front. I don’t charge a fee to come out. I’m happy to help, but will gladly accept whatever you’re comfortable with whether the item is found or not. It all goes right into my daughter’s college fund!
