White Gold and Platinum men’s wedding band lost on the beach at Fort Lauderdale Beach Florida Found and returned to owner.

  • from North Miami Beach (Florida, United States)

I got a call from a man Steven saying he lost his ring on Fort Lauderdale Beach,  Florida.  We set  a time and met up . and very quickly I was able to help him. Please see the wonderful Testimonial and pictures below.

Testimonial:

I lost my wedding band in knee deep water at the beach. The current & waves were strong that day, so I knew the likelihood of finding it was slim to none. As I was looking for metal detector rentals in my area, I found Craig & the Ringfinder website. I reached out to Craig (who responded back quickly) and we had an appointment scheduled to meet the following day in the general area where I lost my ring. I had personally looked for hours the day I lost it & Craig was able to find it within 5 minutes… Truly unbelievable! A very simple & straightforward process & I would recommend anyone to contact him in the event you have lost something of value. Thanks Craig!

Lost Well-Head Found by Dave Milsted in Winslow NJ

  • from South Jersey (New Jersey, United States)

I received a message from Gary asking if I could find a well-head. I had to ask if it was made of metal, as I don’t know anything about well-heads. He said yes, so I said yes. Then he said it was paved over with asphalt. I said I would try.
We met the following weekend. Gary showed me the area that he thought the well was in. It is in the parking lot of bustling strip stores. There are 12 well-heads on the property. They know where 11 of them are. I asked if he had blueprints that I could see. He didn’t, but he had an old hand-made drawing that didn’t have the additions of the new buildings. I looked at the picture and hoped that the driveway was in the same place before the new construction.
I started my search. Within 10 minutes, I had 2 good hits that could be what we were looking for. I went over to one of the known wells to check out the signal it gave off. It gave off 2 loud signals within 3 feet of each other, just like I found. Gary painted marks on the parking lot. Gary said that he would have one of his construction crews dig it up the following day.
The next day Gary sent me a picture of the well-head. He said that he wasn’t aware that a service like this was available. He works for a large construction company that is always looking for metal objects. I told him to keep my information and number, and I would be glad to help him out. He said he would be calling a lot.
I love my hobby!

Lost Sapphire and Diamond Engagement and Wedding Rings, Midlothian Virginia…FOUND!

March 15th 2021: Found a wedding band and engagement ring lost while playing softball.

Jocelyn, her husband and friends were playing family style softball in a field behind their house. She removed her beautiful rings and put them in her pocket before starting to play. After the game, she found her rings missing! Family and friends searched the field for several hours. They even borrowed a metal detector and a rake, to no avail.

Field

Jocelyn then turned to the internet to seek professional help.  She found my contact information on The Ring Finders site (https://theringfinders.com/Rob.Ellis/) and texted me the next morning.  I made the 2 hour drive to Midlothian, Virginia to assist Jocelyn.   When we met, I could see the disappointment in her eyes.  She probably thought the rings were gone for good. After showing me the field, I assured her there was a good chance of recovery.

First Ring

I began my search pattern in the area behind “home plate” and worked toward the “outfield”. I searched into the woods several feet on either side of the field. Within 40 minutes I located Jocelyn’s wedding band to the right side of the home plate area. I left the ring exactly where I’d found it, marking the location by sticking a pencil into the ground.

2nd Ring

Over the next hour and 20 minutes, I searched the rest of the field. I then expanded the search area behind “home plate” and recovered the second ring. I marked the location of the second ring using a softball.

I sent a text to Jocelyn asking her to join me. When she arrived, I showed her the pencil indicating the location of her wedding band. She was incredibly happy to have her wedding band back, but the engagement ring held more sentimental value. I then asked her to pick-up the softball and, to her amazement, there was the ring.  We both shared the delight and relief of finding her treasures.

Smiles!

Priceless Ring Lost! – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

What an awesome ring recovery!  Bailey reached out to me this weekend and told me that he had dropped his wedding band as they were tying up their boat at his Grandfather’s home. It sounded pretty straightforward but we decided to wait until a bit later so the water could come down and the depth would be a bit shallower. I finally made it out to their home in Saraland, AL and as I walked down to the boat slip I got to meet some of the family. He pointed to where he lost the ring and I decided to put on my drysuit since this water was cold and we thought it was going to be about 5 ft deep. As soon as my feet hit the bottom I realized this was going to be tough. I was on my tiptoes and even though I am 6’3”, the water was up to my chin. It was a small area though so my hopes were high. The first two signals I got could have been gold rings but they also sounded like pull tabs off a Coke can. When the pull tabs came up we thought we had found the culprit as Bailey’s Grandfather stood holding a soda can with no pull tab. We all had a big laugh when his Grandad cracked a huge smile and explained that he never threw his in the water. 😃. The next signal I got was a high tone but I’ve learned over the years that a large men’s ring can sometimes sound high pitched. This one was a bit deeper so I just held my breath and went under for a few scoops. I came up with lots of mud and leaves in my scoop and started to try to sift out the debris. We all heard a little clink of metal so I decided to hand the scoop up to Bailey so that he could dump it out on the boat dock and sort through it. He didn’t even have to say a word, as soon as he saw the ring his smile lit up so much that I knew he had it. Before I was even out of the water, Bailey and his Grandfather were telling me the rest of the story. Bailey just got married this past October. The ring was actually three rings put together by the jeweler. One ring belonged to the Grandfather I was talking to, one ring belonged to Bailey’s Grandfather who had passed away and one ring belonged to Bailey’s Great Grandfather who had passed on as well. With Bailey wearing this ring to honor these men in his marriage, that would make 3 generations of rings at stake. Now you can see why this ring is priceless. Bailey I’m so glad you trusted me to help you recover such an amazing part of your family’s history. I hope the future for you is just as fantastic. God Bless!

Women’s Diamond Engagement Ring Lost for 2 Months…FOUND Spruce Pine, Alabama!

Christina McCree – Lost Item Recovery Specialist for North Alabama and surrounding areas…call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7…610-504-6135

I received a text message from Amee on Saturday night (March 27th, 2021).  Amee had lost her 14K white gold and platinum plated diamond engagement ring somewhere in her gravel driveway.  She tried using a metal detector, but Amee and her husband, Casey, were unfamiliar with how to use it properly.  They also tried sifting through the gravel with a garden tool and makeshift sifter, but that too was unsuccessful.  Amee and her family tried searching for many weeks, but still no engagement ring.  She went on Google and searched, “how to find a lost ring” and Chris Turner’s The Ring Finders website popped up.  This is a worldwide directory of independent metal detecting specialists ready to assist in the recovery of lost items for their local area.  Since nothing else had worked so far and they were basically out of options, Amee thought she’d give The Ring Finders a try.

I was able to meet Amee and Casey the following day (Sunday, March 28th, 2021) for the search.  They live in Spruce Pine, Alabama, which is between Haleyville and Russellville.  I didn’t mind the hour and a half drive from Huntsville, as it was a beautiful early Spring afternoon!  Amee told me that she had actually lost both her engagement ring and wedding band on February 1st.  She explained that she was in her car, pulling into her driveway and she had both rings in her hand.  She parked, got out and was walking around the car and accidentally dropped them in the gravel driveway.  She was able to find the wedding band, but the engagement ring was still missing after almost 2 months!

I thoroughly searched the area around where her car was normally parked.  I found the usual foil, pull-tabs, and bottle caps.  Amee then showed me the spot where she dumped the sifted piles.  I searched that as well, but still no ring.  I was confident that the ring was not in the area she initially identified.

I offered to search Amee’s car, because that seemed like the only place left.  Amee then told me that she needed to come clean…the engagement ring was not in her car, because she had made up the story of accidentally dropping the rings.  The rings were actually thrown from the front porch in a moment of stress and anger.  Please don’t judge.  We’re all human and we’ve all done things that we later wish we hadn’t.  Amee gave me permission to share this.  If she hadn’t been truthful with what actually occurred, her ring may have never been found.  This really makes me wonder how many other rings are still missing today, because a client didn’t feel comfortable with sharing the real story on how their ring was lost.

I reassured Amee to not feel bad.  Ring throws actually occur way more than people think, but some just don’t feel comfortable talking about it.  Amee and Casey then shared some very sad and unfortunate personal news that led up to the ring toss.  Out of respect for the family, I’ve decided to not share these details.

With this new information and based on my knowledge and experience with ring tosses, I felt very confident that Amee’s engagement ring would now be found!  When the rings were thrown, Amee said that she heard a ping.  This was her wedding band hitting the car and bouncing back.  I felt that the engagement ring went further than they thought and actually flew over the car instead of hitting it.  I started a new grid towards the direction of the toss in the front yard, just a few feet beyond the driveway and where I ended my other grid.

Within a matter of minutes (on my second gridline), my Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector rang up a solid 8.  Parting the grass, I uncovered Amee’s gorgeous 14K white gold with platinum plating diamond engagement ring!!!  Amee was in complete shock that her engagement ring had been found and couldn’t thank me enough!  Casey had asked Amee for her hand in marriage with this very ring in 2007 (about 14 years ago)!  The ring was now back on Amee’s finger where it belongs along with her wedding band!  I’m so glad that this ring search had a happy ending!  I give all glory to God, and I pray that He allows me to continue helping others for many years to come!

Lost Cartier Gold & Diamonds Love Bracelet at Four Seasons Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This bracelet find began when I returned from the mall and my wife Wendy said the phone upstairs had rung a few times but she was stuck in the kitchen prepping dinner. When I got to the answering machine their was a call from Jenny. While on vacation from California Jenny and her husband Simon were playing volleyball on the beach. While Jenny was hitting the ball her Cartier Love Bracelet came apart from a loosened screw and went flying into the sand. They found one half but after a thorough search by the entire family the other half was hopelessly hidden somewhere in the dry sand. Four Seasons Security recommended they call me. Although it was late I agreed to meet Simon and Jenny that night to recover the bracelet. When I arrived Simon met me in the parking lot and then took me down to the beach where Jenny was waiting. There was a grid pattern in the sand already marking the volleyball court so I was able to start the hunt immediately. First target was a piece of foil, then a corroded penny, then a whiskey screw top. Finally the fourth target was a #13 on the Nox and it took two scoops and 10 inches deep to recover the target. There in the scoop was Jenny’s beautiful Cartier Love Bracelet half. Vacation saved! Jenny and Simon were so appreciative that I came out so late to find her bracelet. Turns out they were originally from my home state of Pennsylvania. We had a few laughs together then bid Aloha. Aloha to Jenny & Simon!

Last December I assisted Natalie to find her wedding ring in a horse arena, she took the rings off, and put them in her pocket so as not to lose them during her event. Today her husband called me on The Ringfinders to say that she was embarrassed because she had done it again, only this time losing both 14k White Gold and Diamond, Wedding ring and Engagement ring. After an hour and a half of gridding the outdoor arena she had both rings back on her finger. A bonus was that I also found a young girls gold ring that she lost yesterday.

Lost Diamond Ring Maryville Tennessee…Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

This couple had been reseeding their back yard last weekend when Sarah S. noticed her ring was missing.  They hadn’t been married long, I think maybe a year and a half.  She was very distressed, putting it mildly.  They had tried to find the ring on their own.  Even going out and purchasing a very low end metal detector, but with no discrimination he quickly found out how much trash metal was in his yard, (the house dates from the 40s).   The drive to the site was nearly two hours.  I listened to her story, as well as asking a few questions.  The ring was a white gold and diamonds engagement/wedding band set.  I set up my grid, and made one pass across the yard.  About halfway back on the second pass I got a solid 12.02 at zero inches on my CTX.  I knew that tone and VDI was exactly what I was looking for with it being white gold.  Sure enough, my pinpointer found the wedding band portion just below the layer of straw.  I marked the location with a flag and continued on.  Two steps later I got another 12.02 at zero inches.  This was the larger engagement band portion.  She had a good cry when I showed her the rings, it would have made a great video had I been recording.

Lost Sprinkler Valve Box Found In Rochester Hills Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

The Grass Is Greener…..

……Where You Water It!  That’s exactly how Ollie felt when he turned on his sprinkler system and discovered it was not working. He called me and mentioned I had previously located his property pins 2 yrs. ago and inquired about locating the valve boxes for his sprinkler system. I said sure no problem. He said tree roots and cable tv lines were in proximity and he didn’t want to start trying to find the boxes himself. On site I chose my Tesoro Sidewinder with it’s all-metal mode for searching. Scanning the ground I located the cable tv lines, then scanning a bit further the all-metal threshold sound increased on the metal detector as I traced the size of the metal valves/piping which matched roughly to the shape of the valve box. Scraping a few inches of mulch, dirt and small roots revealed the green cover of the valve box. Moving a bit away I found the second valve box. He was thrilled now that he could make the repairs to the system and excited that his grass will always be greener on his side of the fence.

2 Gold and diamond rings, lost for 4 years, recovered Carpentersville, Il

  • from Rockford (Illinois, United States)

I received a email from Lori in January about looking for a lost diamond ring in thier backyard. She asked if I thought that I could possibly find it even though it was lost over 4 years ago. I asked her if there was any type of construction or if the soil had been disturbed since then.  She said that it was not disturbed. But we just had a major snow and ice storm that left over a foot of snow and ice on the ground so we decided to wait for it to melt. It took till March 11th for all of the snow and ice to melt and for us to have a chance to meet up for the search.  I was shown the area in the backyard where the ring was thought to be. After 2 1/2 hours of searching their’s and both of their neighbors backyards all the way down to the edge of the swamp, at the rear of their townhomes with no luck.  So I came back the following afternoon with some Muck boots and waded into the edge of the swamp. Not long into the search I recovered a white gold wedding band with no diamnds incased in a tite root ball! Confused I asked Lori to describe her ring to me again and she told me it was a diamond ring with one bigger center stone and smaller stones on the sides. So I showed her the ring I found. It was her wedding band! So my ring search turned into a multiple ring search. Turns out the entire wedding set was out there and now just the diamond ring is still out there! So I searched as much of the swampy area as I could before getting water over my boots. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the diamond ring that night. So I told Lori that I wasn’t giving up and that I would return with my chest waders and the rest of my water gear. It took a few days before I could get back. March 19th I made it back with my water gear and within minutes I had another white metal ring! Just a band with no stones. Turned out to be a stainless steel ring. And just a few minutes later I got the signal that I had been waiting for! 13 on the Nox, still entangled in the vegetation floating near the surface of the water was Lori’s long lost diamond ring!! We knew it was there, I just had to get my coil over it!!
