Kasey called me late on 09-05-2025 after losing a very sentimental platinum ring in her yard. A friend of hers saw TheRingFinder website and Kasey saw that I was only about an hour drive from her. We agreed that I would conduct the search the following day.
Kasey and her husband had been cutting down an old wrought iron fence around a swimming pool that was going to be removed. She had placed her ring in her pocket, thinking it was safe there. At some point during the day she took her phone out of her pocket, and the ring fell to the ground, which was covered in about 4” tall, thick grass.
She and her husband spent hours looking for the ring, even using her father-in-laws metal detector. She said all the machine did was make lots of noise over every square inch of the property.
After Kasey pointed out the areas that she suspected her ring might be I began a grid search with my metal detector. Right at the 42 minute mark, I got the signal in my headphones that more or less said, “you found me, so let’s go surprise Kasey.” I had Kasey come back outside to show me the areas where I should be looking again. As she was pointing them out to me I held the ring up. It took her a few seconds to see it, but when she did, the huge smile on her face made it obvious that I had made her day. Kasey shared with me that her husband had designed the ring and the large center diamond was from her grandmother, so the ring was not replaceable. What a wonderful day for all.

Losing a wedding band at the beach can turn a relaxing day into stress. That is exactly what happened to Ankur during a family outing in Wildwood, NJ. While enjoying the summer sun, he placed his platinum wedding band in the baby bag for safekeeping. At some point during the day, the ring slipped out into the sand and disappeared.
Realizing the loss, Ankur’s wife quickly sought help. A thoughtful beachgoer recommended reaching out to me at Ring Finders South Jersey. Within twenty minutes, I arrived in Wildwood, NJ with my professional metal detector and was ready to search.
After getting details from the family, I began gridding the area where they had been sitting. The first passes turned up only coins and small metal debris. Remaining patient, I expanded the search to cover a wider section of sand. Step by step, I worked the detector carefully, listening for the right signal.
After about twenty minutes of scanning, the detector finally gave me the tone I had been waiting for. I dug carefully into the sand and uncovered Ankur’s platinum wedding band. The relief on his face and the joy from his wife made the recovery unforgettable.
Every ring carries a story, and finding one feels rewarding each time. Wildwood, NJ beaches are wide, busy, and filled with activity, which makes losing jewelry easy. That’s why calling an experienced ring finder with a reliable metal detector can make all the difference.
Ankur’s story had the perfect ending—his lost wedding band was recovered and safely returned. Another great day and another successful recovery in Wildwood, NJ!

Judie called, seeming a little desperate, asking if I would be able to come and help her find her wedding ring. I let her know I was available, and would leave right away.
It took a while to find parking, but I was able to get to the area quickly. As soon as I got there her husband Rien found me, and led me to where the loss occurred. It amazed Judie and Rien that I was able to find the ring in just a few minutes, after they had spent an enormous amount of time looking for it. They had only been married for 5 months, so this loss was very important to find. I met some very nice people, and was able to allow them to sleep well that night!

Vernon’s wife contacted me about doing a search for his wedding ring he had lost the day before in a small cove at the state beach. We arranged to have him meet me there so he could take me to the area of the loss.
When I got there I met with Vernon, and we walked to the cove he had been in the day before. He showed me what he had done to cause the loss, and where he thought it probably went. I began my search, and it wasn’t long before I had his wedding ring in my scoop. His assessments were correct about where it had gone which made the search very quick. I was happy to get it back to him, and it made for a nice day.

Bill contacted me about his lost ring. He had lost it that day, and was wondering if I would be able to help. I let him know I was available, but he was not going to be able to meet me there. I let him know that if he could give me directions to the area, I would go and do the search for him. He was able to do so, and I was off to do the search.
When I got there, I looked, and compared the photos he had sent, as well as going over the description he had given me of the site. I searched in one area with no luck, and then moved to another area near by that looked trafficked, and proceeded to search. After two passes, I found his ring, and sent him a photo to make sure this was the one I was looking for. He said it was, and we arranged to meet in Santa Monica for the return. For Bill this was a happy experience, because he was on vacation from New York, and did not want to leave his wedding ring in California

I am a ring recovery/metal detecting specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. Why rent a metal detector when you can get a trained operator with top of the line equipment at the same time…
I was contacted by Jill who stated her mother thought she had lost her wedding ring while weeding. Her mother was throwing the weeds over an embankment behind her residence and thought her ring flew off. When I initially spoke with Jill the ring had been lost for about three weeks. I was unable to make it out the same day she called me to search but assured her I would make arrangements to look.
A few days later it worked out that I was able to search for the ring. I drove out the residence and met Jill’s mother, Peggy and her dog Missy. Peggy explained to me that her husband had passed away and how important the ring was to her. She did not see the ring fly off her finger but she was pretty certain it was over the embankment. They had searched with a metal detector that they bought and also enlisted the help of a neighbor without any luck.
I looked over the embankment and it was overgrown with weeds and tall grass. I took a few steps and realized that all the vegetation was hiding just how steep the bank was. So I started my grid down and back up the hillside taking note of how far I was down. I was thinking that maybe I had not went down over the hill far enough so I was prepared to have to go further down. I was there working my way though the forest of vegetation when all of a sudden I heard that sweet sound of gold. I had seen a picture of the ring and it was very big so the hit I got was loud and steady. I parted the weeds and looked down and there was the ring….sweet success!!
I climbed back to the top of the hillside and Peggy came out to meet me. When I showed her the ring she was stunned and began to shed tears of joy. It was readily apparent how important the ring was to her. She thanked me numerous times. Before I had started to search she had told me how her dog Missy could do all kinds of tricks. I told Peggy that if I found the ring she could have Missy do a few tricks; so Missy got to perform and was very impressive.
Now that the pressure was off as the ring was found there were a few minutes to chat. It is very interesting to hear the stories of rings that are found and all the other important details that the clients like to share. As always it was great to meet another extremely kind and generous client and reunite her with her treasured keepsake!
