Aggie Ring disappears – Irving, Texas

We got a call from a young man who said he was playing Football with a friend, just passing the ball around.  When they finished playing he realized his coveted Aggie Ring was gone.

He jumped on the Internet and found “The Ring Finders” and gave us a call.  We responded immediately and boy was it hot, over 100 degrees.  Ellen and I covered the entire football field and on my next to last pass I saw His Aggie Ring sparkling in the dirt and grass, no detector needed on this one.

I let Ellen know I found it and we went walking towards the young man.  As we got closer I told him we needed to get some water and ask him to hold this and I handed him his Aggie Ring.  I wish you all could have seen his face, it was priceless.  So much fun, I love what we get to do to help people in their time of panic.

Lost Wedding Band FOUND Fort Worth TX.

I received a text on Friday the 19th front Cindy that she thinks she lost her wedding band while walking her dog. I spoke to her about the incident and met her that afternoon. After searching for a little over an hour it got dark and I told her I would return on Sunday to continue the search. This was a large area about 200 feet by 50 feet. I returned on Sunday and also lent her husband a spare detector, my son also helped in the search. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes I was beginning to think she didn’t loose the ring here. Then bang a very good signal and there it was. She was not there and had just left so I showed her husband and he was very happy. Thank You Cindy for the opportunity and thank you for the generous rewards.

Lost — Men’s Gold Tungsten wedding ring – New Smyrna Beach, Florida — FOUND!!

I was detecting on New Smyrna Beach this past Saturday. It was a quiet day — not much action, just the usual hum of waves and the occasional curious glance from beachgoers.

A woman came running up to me, carrying a baby and looking flustered. Her name was Tracy, and she said her son had just lost his wedding ring out in the surf. Moments later, I met Oliver, the unlucky groom. He told me he’d been out in the deeper water tossing a football with his friends when the ring flew off mid-throw. He felt the exact moment it slipped away.

I prayed and asked for God’s help.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t set up for deep water detecting. Still, I waded out as far as I could — the tide was coming in fast.  I told Oliver I’d come back the next day at low tide and give it a proper shot.

The next day, I returned. The tide had pulled back, revealing a whole new stretch of beach. This time, I came prepared: Aquatec headphones, and my trusty Manticore detector in hand. I stepped into the surf, scanning the troughs.

Almost immediately, I got a hit. My heart skipped — maybe this was it! I dug carefully and pulled up… a gold earring. A good find, but not the one I was after.

Not long after that, I caught another strong signal — a deep, clean tone. I dug in again, and this time, out came a shining wedding ring.  I knelt and thanked God for guiding me to the spot.  I called Oliver and later returned his ring to him and Sasha, his bride of one year.  Another happy family!

Citadel Military College Ring Lost Playing Disc Golf in Huntsville, AL… FOUND!

I received a call from Cesar on Saturday (September 6th, 2025) just before 4pm.  He made a post in the North Alabama Disc Golf Facebook group and one of my co-workers, Rob, sent him my info.  Cesar was playing in a disc golf tournament at the Mastin Lake Course in Huntsville, Alabama that morning.  Cesar finished some practice shots and just before he threw the frisbee at the first hole, it started raining.  He used a towel to dry his hands, but they were still pretty wet when he threw the frisbee.  Right as Cesar got to the second hole and he set down his bag is when he noticed his cherished 2003 class ring from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, was gone.  When Cesar called, I was doing some things around my house.  Mastin Lake Park is only 10 minutes away, so I told Cesar that I would change, grab my gear, and head his way.

I met Cesar just before 4:30 pm at Mastin Lake Park.  I had him show me all the areas he was at.  He told me that he really felt that his ring came off at the first hole, because it usually fits him snug and the wet hands from the rain probably caused it to slip off on the frisbee throw.  I searched the area with my Minelab Equinox 900 with the 15-inch coil from where Cesar was standing to the basket and extended the sides of my grid fairly wide.  No ring.  Even though Cesar didn’t think his ring came off on the practice throws, I still wanted to search that area to clear it.  No ring there.

We eventually went back to the first hole since that was where it was raining.  Cesar re-enacted the throw and he had a strong follow through with his right hand (hand with the ring) to the right side.  I began searching further out to the right than where I had before.  Cesar was walking ahead of me searching with his eyes.  A few minutes later I heard Cesar say, “oh my God” as he bent down and picked up his yellow gold Citadel class ring!!  Woo-hoo!  I immediately looked to the sky and said, “thank you, God!”  Cesar was so happy and thankful that he had his very sentimental class ring back!  He gave me a big hug.  We were both surprised at how far his ring flew.  I added two photos at the end of where Cesar was standing and where the disc golf basket was.  Cesar said his ring landed so far away and he had never looked in that area earlier in the day.  What a miracle to find it!  Praise the Lord!

Cesar and I chatted for a few minutes, took some photos, and we parted ways, headed home.  Until the next one, please take care and God bless!

Lost Gold & Turquoise 25th Anniversary Ring at Honu Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a call from Paul from Temecula, California and was celebrating his 25th Anniversary at the Ko Olina Resort.  Paul told me he was standing in knee deep water as his wife was taking his picture and a wave hit him and the 25th Anniversary Gold & Turquoise Ring, his wife had just given him, fell off into the shallow water and disappeared in the soft sand.  After trying unsuccessfully, the resort security gave him my number for the recovery.  I agreed to meet him that evening as I had a scuba dive hunt the next morning in a different lagoon.  When I arrived, Paul took me down to the shoreline to show me the area to hunt.  On the third leg of the grid in knee deep water I got a nice zinc penny tone on the Manticore but low and behold it was Paul’s amazing ring.  Anniversary saved!  Aloha to Paul!

Lost diamond ring while hand feeding tarpons

This was one of my most interesting recoveries to date.  I received a call from a woman who was down on vacation and went to Robbie’s in the Florida Keys.  It’s a tourist destination and marina.  They have a section where you can feed the tarpon.  You can actually see them in some of the photos circling around me.  She had lost her ring while feeding the fish. They jump out of the water and take the fish right out of your had.  The ring was there for a couple days. I knew it was gonna be a hard recovery because that marina has been there forever and I’m sure there was 50 years worth of garbage there. But after about two hours, I was able to find it.  It made for some great pictures.

Lost Cartier Promise ring in Crescent Lake, Florida…Found by Mike McInroe, Florida Ring Finder.

I received a call from a young lady named Joy who had dropped her Cartier ring off of a dock and needed some special help. The water at the end of the dock was just over 7 feet deep and there was no way she nor her father could hold their breath and dive down and attempt to recover her ring. Thoughts raced through her mind that maybe a fish picked it up and swam off with it or maybe the current pushed it way under the dock or it sunk down into the silty lake bottom to stay hidden forever…forever lost! Later that evening Joy went online to search for “Underwater metal detecting service” and came across theringfinders.com website and decided to give me a call. She and her parents were checking out of the Airbnb the next morning by 11:00am so I made arrangements to meet her at 8:30am the following morning and I was hoping and praying I would be able to recover her lost ring before they had to leave.

The next morning I arrived and set up my Blu3 Nemo dive system and used a PVC pole to mark the spot where Joy said she saw the splash where her ring hit the water. The bottom of the lake was sandy and smooth but the visibility was only a foot or so and as I descended down the pole I immediately got a strong signal! It was a 2.5 pound weight used for weight lifting so I left it there and continued searching. I covered the whole area, digging up sinkers and screws and pieces of aluminum and bottle tops, a knife/pliers, etc. After 40 minutes I was beginning to wonder if maybe Joy was mistaken about exactly where her ring fell into the water! I decided to go back and recheck all the larger deeper targets and I began at the PVC pole with the 2.5 weight and as I lifted it up to put it into my pouch I received a quiet signal just to the side of where the weight was. I ran my fingers through the sand and felt something round and ring like…and there it was…just inches away from the PVC pole marker!! As I surfaced I held my hand up with her ring on my little finger and Joy’s face was in shock and she was stunned. She told me later that she was starting to give up hope and then I came out of the water with her precious lost ring! How I thank God for allowing me to find Joy’s lost ring and be a blessing to her in her time of need.

Intentionally Lost Ring Found in Lebanon, TN

A client in Lebanon, TN called me on 09-18-2025 after finding my information on TheRingFinder website. His wife was upset this morning and threw her white gold with a diamond wedding ring in their very expansive back yard. I made the 45 minute drive and arrived within an hour of his call. Without getting into the details of the reason for his wife throwing the ring, I only asked where she was standing when she threw the ring, what direction she threw it and how hard she threw it. The client pointed out and approximate 30’ by 30’ area of the grassy yard. He also said he had scanned over the same 30’ by 30’ area with a cheap metal detector, which was evident by the countless clumps of grass that he had uprooted after getting a signal on that cheap metal detector he was using.

After about 30 minutes I located the gorgeous ring in the 4” tall grass. It was in fact with the 30’ by 30’ area the client said it would be in. The client was very grateful that the ring was recovered, but it goes without saying that neither the client or his wife wanted their picture taken with the ring.
