Pat called me on Tuesday evening to ask for help in finding Ann’s lost wedding ring. The one he gave her 40 years ago. Ann had been playing volleyball with the grandkids in the front yard of their home. After that and some basketball, she noticed her wedding ring was not on her finger. I said we would be there to hunt at 8:00 AM the next day. Carrie and I loaded up early and arrived at the hunt site on time. Ann showed us where she was during the volleyball game. Sid found it 10 minutes after the hunt began. Needless to say, Ann was very happy to see her ring again. It was a pleasure to help out such a charming lady. LOST WEDDING BAND IN LAKE CHARLES, LA. – FOUND

Susan called to ask for help in finding her husband’s lost tungsten wedding band.  It was slung off his wet finger a month before when opening their camper door. Carrie and I left the next day for the 70 mile trip. On arriving, we found the grassy search area to be small in the RV lot. We began the search of the lot. Next to the grassy area was a fenced area for a water system. Sid hunted the fenced area facing the RV. After 2 hours of searching and re-searching the yard and rock driveway, we had not found the ring. Susan, Carrie and Sid had gathered up near the rear side of the water system to discuss the next step when Carrie saw a sparkle from the rocks around the water system. In plain view laying on the rocks was the ring. Lost items are not always where you expect them to be. After the happy trio took pictures, we were on our way back home. Lost wedding band in Youngsville, LA. – Found

Tim called me on a Saturday morning as I was heading to the health club. I traded the gym bag for my detector bag and was on site in 20 minutes. He had lost his wedding band in the back yard 2 days before while playing with his daughter. He had put the ring in his pocket with his cell phone. He took out his cell twice in different areas of the yard. The areas where he removed his phone from his pocket were the first searched. After finishing the second area, I started a whole yard grid search. I had a not-so-great hit so I marked my grid line and searched the hit. Nothing there. As I turned back to pick up my marker, the ring was on top of the grass a foot from the marker. As I was on my knees, being that close to the grass made the ring a lot easier to spot.
