Friday morning Dion went to the front door to let his dog outside and in the dogs excited state there was some confusion about not exiting the house fast enough. Dion was wanting his dog to hurry along and he swung his left hand underhanded like…sort of in a bowling style motion and he felt his unique, custom made wedding ring come off of his finger. He heard a ping sound, as if his ring had struck something metal and it just plain disappeared. He was sure it landed close by and proceeded to search all through the low bushes along the side walk. He even went as far as removing all the bushes…he told me later that they didn’t like those bushes anyway…so all that was left was the pine bark mulch and dirt! Dion was bound and determined to find his two piece, interlocking, platinum and yellow gold wedding ring which he has worn for the past 11 years.
Friday night was a very difficult night for Dion as he struggled with the thought of never seeing his lost wedding ring again. In desperation he went online and looked up “How to find a lost ring” and up came theringfinders.com and as he read what we are all about he started to find some hope. He sent out a request to one of our members and they were able to do a short search but they were unable to locate Dion’s lost wedding ring. Dion knew his lost ring had to be there in his front yard somewhere so he gave me a call and explained what happened. It was a two hour drive that took me up into the beautiful Ocala National Forest area and I was anxious to see what the front of his house looked like and where his ring was hiding. After meeting Dion and hearing his story there was one key fact that stuck out to me. He said that when he waved his hand at the dog the sound of his ring hitting something was not immediate but delayed. That information told me his ring struck the sidewalk or driveway out a good ways from the front door. Both sides of the sidewalk had been thoroughly searched so I determined it must have landed out in the grass some 30 to 40 feet from where Dion had been standing. It took only a minute or two to set up my Garrett ATMax metal detector and within minutes I got my first promising signal—Platinum! And a couple of swings later—Yellow Gold!
Dion was overjoyed and rushed inside to tell his wife and as I walked along I silently thanked God for allowing me to be a blessing to this young couple and their 8 kids!

Gabby called me yesterday and asked for help finding her husbands lost wedding ring on a full size soccer field. I told her I was up for the challenge and little did I know how tough it would actually be. Her husband, Christian, was not able to join us but he had explained what position he plays and where he spent most of the time during his practice. The first day I set up flags and cones and covered over half of the field carefully grid searching each area. Five and a half hours worth and the temperatures were in the mid 90’s and although I was taking care to stay hydrated the humidity did wear me down.
Sunday afternoon David gave me a call and asked if I could possibly help him find a very special lost diamond stud earring! Two days earlier, David’s mother in law, Mrs Susan, was getting out of her car and a small low hanging tree branch got tangled in her hair and she felt a slight tug at her ear and in the next moment her earring was gone! They immediately searched the thick low ivy bushes, along the concrete and even in the car thinking maybe it could have fallen in there as well. After an hour of frantic searching they could not find the lost diamond stud earring and decided to try again later. 
Nathan emailed me late Friday night and asked if there was any chance I could help him look for his lost tungsten wedding ring at the beach. He explained that they had spent part of the afternoon on the sand and in the water and only realized his ring was missing later while eating dinner. Nathan was not real used to wearing his wedding ring because he and his lovely wife had just gotten married four days earlier and they were on their honeymoon the day he lost his ring. Bummer, hey?! And to make matters worse they were going to be returning home to Missouri in just two days. I assured Nathan that his lost wedding ring was not going to be washed away and if he could remember exactly where they entered the water and about how far out they went…then there was a very good chance of finding his lost ring.
Erick had just bought his daughter a new fishing pole and they were on the end of his parents dock trying it out for the very first time when disaster struck! Erick said that after putting a nice juicy worm on the hook, he went to wash the goo from his hands and as he shook the excess water off, his heavy gold wedding ring went “plunk” right into the dark lake water! Erick was stunned as he watched it hit the water and disappear out of sight. Right away he tried to figure out how he could retrieve his ring so he checked the depth of the water and determined it to be around 11 feet deep. Too deep for him to jump in and attempt any sort of search himself. And the more he thought about his situation he felt there just had to be some way or someone who could help him retrieve his lost ring. Chantal and her younger sister were enjoying a hot summer day by the cool dark waters of the Wekiva River. Wekiva Island is a unique place to swim and relax and spend time getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Earlier Chantal had laid out her towel at the waters edge and now as she was getting ready to gather up her belongings, she completely forgot that she had placed her Apple Watch on the edge of her towel and as she lifted her towel….the watch did a nose dive into the dark water and disappeared! For over an hour she dove and tried her very best to feel around with her feet, hoping to find her lost watch…but all to no avail!
When Matt called me I could tell by his voice he was a bit concerned about a special ring he had lost earlier that day! Here is the story in Matts own words. “Mike with The Ring Finders saved my vacation! While playing volleyball with my wife and two young sons, my college ring slipped off my finger and fell into the sand of the volleyball court. My heart immediately sank. As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, our Aggie rings are sacred and my first thought was that I would never see my ring again. Miguel was enjoying a warm spring day on his family’s dock with some friends and as they were getting ready to head up to the house, he asked one of his friends to toss him his shirt. Earlier, Miguel had laid his shirt across the back of a lawn chair and also had removed his gold chain and cross and placed it on top of his shirt. (This chain was very special to him as it was a gift from his mom 12 years ago and he has worn it ever since!) As his friend grabbed the shirt the chain slipped off and fell directly thru a crack between the deck boards of the dock. Miguel did not actually see the chain fall but he was able to hear the sound of his chain and cross as it fell into the dark waters below the dock. Stunned, he could not believe what had just happened! He mustered the courage to get into the cold water and made his way under the dock. There were lots of underwater plants growing up from the muddy bottom making it very difficult for Miguel as he tried to feel with his hands and his feet. Numerous shells, sticks and leaves mixed into the silty bottom was a very discouraging place to have lost his precious chain and cross. He searched for a while and soon realized the futility plus he was getting very chilled so he climbed out and tried to think of what to do next. This led him to do a search online for “How to find a gold chain underwater” and thankfully “theringfinders.com” website came up. He clicked on one of my recovery stories and decided to give me a call.
Larry called me from their vacation apartment down by the Disney area and asked if I could help him and his wife, Danielle, find her lost diamond engagement ring. Apparently they were out late the night before and while walking back to their room, Danielle had taken all her jewelry off and handed everything to Larry. After entering the apartment Larry put all the jewelry on the dining table and they then retired for the night.
