Lost ring in sand volleyball court, Orlando, Fl…..Found and Returned!

When Matt called me I could tell by his voice he was a bit concerned about a special ring he had lost earlier that day! Here is the story in Matts own words. “Mike with The Ring Finders saved my vacation! While playing volleyball with my wife and two young sons, my college ring slipped off my finger and fell into the sand of the volleyball court. My heart immediately sank. As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, our Aggie rings are sacred and my first thought was that I would never see my ring again. I searched for over an hour with no luck and after a brief Google search, my wife suggested calling The Ring Finders. After speaking with Mike, I was immediately put at ease. He was genuinely sympathetic and concerned and let me know he would be there as soon as he could. When he arrived he let me know that he felt good about finding my ring and more importantly told me that he and his family had been praying for the successful recovery of my lost ring! As a follower of Jesus Christ, this both gave me comfort and reiterated to me that I had made the right choice in calling Mike. After a brief search Mike recovered my lost ring and saved the day and our trip! The entire experience with Mike was fantastic! I can’t say it enough, thank you for saving the day and God bless! Matt”

Theringfinders metal detecting service helped me find a lost ring in the bushes in front of a restaurant in Orlando, Fl.! Open Now: call or text 321-363-6029

I received a call from Alex asking me if I could help him look for his lost wedding ring. I asked him a few important questions and decided this was a search that needed to be done right away. (For whenever someone looses a ring in a public place it is extremely important to get there and look ASAP….mainly for fear that someone else might find it!)
We made arrangements to meet and do a thorough search and the whole time I was praying no one else would walk off with his lost ring. An hour later I met Alex and his two friends in front of Rocco’s Tacos restaurant and he explained what exactly happened. Apparently as Alex was leaving the restaurant he felt a sneeze coming on and as the courteous custom is to cover one’s mouth, he let out a big sneeze and in the process he flung his hands down and to his sides and off came his ring! He heard it ping off of the sidewalk but did not see which direction it flew. It was dark out and he and his friends searched the best they could but could not find his lost ring. Alex figured his ring was gone forever! Later that evening he was talking to another friend and he suggested trying to locate someone with a metal detector and that led Alex to theringfinders.com!
So I began my search with my Garrett pro pointer in hand. The bushes directly behind where Alex was standing when his ring came off was the obvious place to start. It took 15 minutes on my hands and knees and I finally spotted Alex’s lost wedding ring along the edge of a side walk at least 20 feet from where I thought it would be. I put Alex’s ring on the end of my finger and walked up to Alex and his two friends. I explained that I had found a bunch of bottle caps, pull tabs and other junk…and then I held my finger up and said, “And then I found this!”. Alex could not believe his eyes and we all had us an awesome moment of high fives, fist bumps and man celebration!!
It was an honor and a real pleasure to help Alex find his lost wedding ring!

Lost gold chain and cross in Lake Burkett, Winter Park, Fl……Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Miguel was enjoying a warm spring day on his family’s dock with some friends and as they were getting ready to head up to the house, he asked one of his friends to toss him his shirt. Earlier, Miguel had laid his shirt across the back of a lawn chair and also had removed his gold chain and cross and placed it on top of his shirt. (This chain was very special to him as it was a gift from his mom 12 years ago and he has worn it ever since!) As his friend grabbed the shirt the chain slipped off and fell directly thru a crack between the deck boards of the dock. Miguel did not actually see the chain fall but he was able to hear the sound of his chain and cross as it fell into the dark waters below the dock. Stunned, he could not believe what had just happened! He mustered the courage to get into the cold water and made his way under the dock. There were lots of underwater plants growing up from the muddy bottom making it very difficult for Miguel as he tried to feel with his hands and his feet. Numerous shells, sticks and leaves mixed into the silty bottom was a very discouraging place to have lost his precious chain and cross. He searched for a while and soon realized the futility plus he was getting very chilled so he climbed out and tried to think of what to do next. This led him to do a search online for “How to find a gold chain underwater” and thankfully “theringfinders.com” website came up. He clicked on one of my recovery stories and decided to give me a call.
The next day I met Miguel and he explained what happened and showed me exactly where the chain fell thru the crack in the dock deck. After suiting up I slid into the cold, dark water and made my way directly under the dock where Miguel figured his gold chain fell. There were allot of signals in the mud but one signal in particular sounded sharp and clear on my Garrett ATMax and after sifting out all the mud, shells and sticks there was his lost gold cross and chain! It was an honor to help Miguel and to see the joy on his face as he was reunited once again with his special gift. Maybe you have lost something recently or even years ago! Give me a call ASAP!

Lost engagement ring, Kissimmee, Fl…..Found and Returned!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Larry called me from their vacation apartment down by the Disney area and asked if I could help him and his wife, Danielle, find her lost diamond engagement ring. Apparently they were out late the night before and while walking back to their room, Danielle had taken all her jewelry off and handed everything to Larry. After entering the apartment Larry put all the jewelry on the dining table and they then retired for the night. The next morning they got up later than normal and eventually Danielle went to collect her jewelry and to her horror, she could not find her diamond engagement ring! They immediately retraced their steps from the previous night and by this time it was around 12:00 noon. They looked for a couple of hours and that is what led them to contact me, thru theringfinders.

I packed up my gear and an hour and a half later met Larry and Danielle and began my sidewalk and bushes search. For the next three and a half hours I scoured the bushes with my metal detector and probed my pro pointer into every nook and cranny and no ring! It was just nowhere to be found. As I put my detector away I tried to console Larry and I encouraged him to make up some posters and put them on the palm trees along the area where they had walked. We said our goodbyes and I headed for home and I must admit I was a bit discouraged not being able to find Danielle’s ring.

A couple of days later I was looking on line and thought I would check out “Craigslist Orlando” and see if anything was posted in the “lost and found” section. As I scrolled down I noticed a post labeled “Found engagement ring, Kissimmee” posted on the same day I was called by Larry and my heart skipped a beat! Could it be?? I fired a text to Larry and directed him to the post and in my heart I was praying this would be the miracle they needed. (You see, Larry and Danielle originally had a small zirconium in her ring and just recently had it replaced with a rather beautiful, large diamond and they had applied for insurance on the ring but the paper work was not yet completed.) Apparently the person who made the post had actually found Danielle’s ring in the early morning as they were heading to Universal Studios and she kept it safe all day. On her return to their apartment that night she saw a security guard and turned the ring over to him, trusting that he would take it to the proper “Lost and Found” at the resort main office. Larry called the main office over the next 3 days and each time he was told that no ring fitting that description had been turned in. Sadly Larry and Danielle had to return home to Pennsylvania but he continued to call. The frustrating thing was knowing that the ring had been turned over to “trusting hands” and then not being able to locate it. Finally Larry suggested that the “authorities” be informed and “Bingo!!!” The lost and found people called a half hour later to say they had located Danielle’s ring and she could pick it up. I offered to pick it up and mail it to them but Danielle insisted in flying to Orlando and picking it up in person. The following Saturday we met Danielle and had the pleasure of seeing the sheer joy on Danielle’s face and to experience an amazing moment in her life. It truly was an honor to meet Larry and Danielle and to have a part in helping them get their ring back!

Lost wedding ring, Windermere, Fl……Found and Returned!

Dr. Greg emailed me on Saturday afternoon to see if I was available to help him find his lost wedding ring in his back yard. So we made arrangements to meet the next day to conduct a thorough search. Upon arriving I was told that the family had searched for three days with a low end metal detector. Gregg and his wife have been married for 25 years and a couple of their children were letting me know that I really needed to find their father’s lost ring, so that they, (the parents) could continue to be married again. Cute, hey? Apparently one of the boys had gotten a small drone stuck in one of the large oak trees and Greg was using a soccer ball to try and knock the drone free of the branches. He was throwing the ball straight up with force, using a two handed under throw and after a couple of throws he suddenly felt his ring go flying. Thankfully I had a test ring with a small piece of brightly colored ribbon attached to it and I asked Greg to do a couple of test throws. This gave us a good indication of the direction I needed to begin my search. It wasn’t long until I got a great shallow signal in the thick grass and sure enough there was Greg’s lost wedding ring. (I was using my Whites DFX metal detector in the Prospecting Mode, as there was allot of electrical interference and the usual Coin and Jewelry Mode was way to noisy.) It was a real pleasure to help Greg and his family and I hope he is able to get the ring resized so as not to loose it again!

Lost diamond earring, Port Orange, Fl…..Found and Returned!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Last Friday Amanda called me from San Antonio, Texas with a very special request. She explained that her mother Liz, who lives in Port Orange, Florida had just lost a very expensive diamond earring! Two days earlier Mrs Liz had an invitation to eat lunch at a friends house and before heading out the door she decided to wear her beautiful earrings that were a gift to her from her husband Tom, 14 years ago. They had a wonderful time visiting their friend and after a delicious meal Mr. Tom and Mrs. Liz headed for home. Immediately after arriving home Mrs. Liz went to her bedroom to remove her special diamond earrings and to her dismay one of them was missing. And the search began! They looked everywhere and could not find it. And she decided to call her daughter Amanda in San Antonio for some advice. Amanda went right to work searching for some help for her distraught mother and after typing “Metal Detector Rental Orlando” into her phone she found theringfinders and one of my search and recovery stories. The call was made and the next day I met Amanda’s parents. Mr. Tom and Mrs. Liz said they had the other earring in a small plastic bag so I could get a reading with my metal detector, but unfortunately the bag got misplaced or thrown out that morning and we had a frantic 30 minute search—emptying garbage bags and crawling all over the house. Thankfully Mr. Tom finally found it in the thrown out newspaper bin!! Before heading to the neighbors house I searched the car, the garage and basically the whole house with my flashlight and then we headed to the friends house.
At the friends home Mrs.Liz showed me where she walked, partly on the thick St. Augustine grass and half way on the cement driveway. I was barely able to get a reading with my metal detector on the diamond earring because of the small amount of gold and the thick grass prevented me from getting the coil down to where it could detect the lost one—if it was in the grass. I ended up going over the whole area using my Garrett Pro Pointer and still no earring. I then made my way into the house basically crawling on my hands and knees with my flashlight searching every possible nook and cranny. Mrs. Liz showed me where she sat at the dining table and underneath the table was a beautiful white shag carpet. So I moved the chairs and with my flashlight I scanned the carpet hoping for the sparkle of the lost diamond earring. Nothing! I then thought to run my hand over the carpet and after a few sweeps I felt something pop up and sure enough it was Mrs. Liz’s precious earring! Mrs. Liz kept saying “I can’t believe you actually found it”
Maybe you or a friend has lost something special and I can be of help. Call ASAP!

Lost wedding ring, Saratoga Disney Springs Resort, Fl…….Found and Returned!

Wednesday night I received a call from Chris asking if I could possibly help him find his lost wedding ring! He went on to explain that he and his family had just flown into Orlando earlier that day and after they settled into their rooms they thought it was a perfect evening for a little game of catch the football! And then it all came to a sudden halt when Chris felt his ring come off of his finger. He and his family searched frantically for his ring but the St. Augustine grass had seemed to swallow it up.
For the last 5 years Chris has worn his special wedding ring and now it was gone. Made of copper and silver it was quite unique and I was sure it would give a good strong signal whenever my trusty Whites DFX metal detector went over it.
Upon arriving and seeing the small grassy area where the ring was lost, I set up four corner flags and began my search. I explained to Chris that there would be lots of signals for me to check out and by using my Garrett Pro Pointer, (thank you Chris Turner) I could easily determine if the target was deep or close to the surface and any deeper targets I would be ignoring.
It took roughly 15 minutes to locate Chris’s lost wedding ring and I never get tired of seeing the smiles and hearing the relief in the voice of the one who lost their precious ring. It was an honor to help you Chris and thank you for the generous reward!

Lost ring in Daytona Beach surf, Florida….Found and Returned!

Daytona Beach, Florida is a great place to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. There are miles and miles of beaches, more sand than one can imagine and refreshing, warm salty water to play and swim in until your heart is very content! Unless of course you happen to lose your wedding ring. And that is exactly what happened to Bart on August 18th, 2018 while playing catch with a football in knee deep water with his young son. They immediately stopped playing and scoured the sandy bottom, desperate to find his lost ring. Unfortunately his ring had simply vanished.
Later that evening as they were searching online, they typed in “Lost Ring” and up popped a story on theringfinders.com website. They found my name in the directory and gave me a call. My wife and I were traveling in Wisconsin at the time and I referred them to other Ringfinder members….but sadly no one was available to help them.
Three weeks later I contacted Bart and he was able to describe quite accurately the exact area where he lost his ring. It took an hour to drive to south Daytona Beach and after setting up my flags in the wet sand, I proceeded to carefully grid search the targeted area. Signals were scarce and after an hour and a half I got a promising tone and there three inches down in the wet sand was Bart’s lost wedding ring! What a pleasure it was to meet you Bart and your dear wife Cindy and may your love story continue on for another 24 years! God bless and have a wonderful life!

Lost wedding ring, Lighthouse Point Park, Ponce Inlet, Florida….Found and Returned!

Marcia called me on Saturday wanting to know if I was available to help her look for her lost rings. While she and her husband were enjoying swimming in the ocean they got to talking about getting tan lines and Marcia wanted to see if under her rings she had any tan lines. She was in waist deep water at the time and she pulled her rings only slightly down her finger to see if she had any of those dreaded “tan lines” and then the unimaginable happened. Her rings simply slid the rest of the way down her finger and into the churning surf. She could not believe what had just happened. She and her husband frantically began searching the water but her rings just seemed to vanish.
Thankfully Marcia found theringfinders.com web site and decided to give me a call. Rings lost in the water at the beach require someone to look as soon as possible, so the following day I met Marcia at the Lighthouse Point Park and she showed me the area where they were when the “unimaginable” happened! I set out four corner flags in the wet sand and two flags down the middle and started my grid search in and out of the water. The rings were dropped around three hours before high tide in waist deep water so that meant I needed to thoroughly search quite a large area. I was amazed that Marcia was able to remember where she lost her rings in the surf because after an hour of searching I pulled her wedding ring out of the sand in three feet of water. I thought for sure the engagement ring would be somewhere in the same area but I just could not find it. Come to find out the engagement ring was a thinner band and had a large 1 carat diamond set up high. Could it be that my metal detector just could not find such a thin gold ring? Or did the large diamond sticking up cause the ring to tumble around and get pushed to another location?
Three days later I went back at low tide and searched again for four more hours and still could not find Marcia’s 2nd lost ring. Thankfully Marcia was able to get her wedding ring back and that gave her plenty to be grateful for!

Today Derek wrote, “My wedding ring slipped off my finger in my friends backyard. 15 people were on their hands and knees but couldn’t find it in the grass. I called Mike up and he was super friendly and confident he could find my ring. He showed up on time and was just as nice as on the phone. We talked a bit and then he went about searching. He used flags to create a grid and methodically scanned the yard. After about an hour of searching he called me over. My wedding band was pushed into the dirt and I never would have found it. He saved me time and got me out of the doghouse with my wife! Thanks Mike! Derek”
Derek thought about renting a metal detector and as he typed “Metal Detector Rental” into his phone he was directed to theringfinders.com web site and one of the many successful search stories.
