Gold Wedding Ring Recovered in Arlington Heights Il.

  • from Rockford (Illinois, United States)

I received a call from Chris (5/31/2026) and he told me that he was doing some yard work in his backyard the day before and at some point his gold wedding band had come off of his finger and he couldn’t find it. He even went and bought a metal detector and still couldn’t find it, and was wondering if I could possibly help.  I told him I’d gladly give it a shot! When I arrived I asked Chris a few questions about what he was doing and where. That’s when he told me that they had Ring camera footage, from the morning it went missing! He said that it shows him with the ring on at one point and it was gone in the next clip! I told him that we know its here and we were going to find it! Chris took me into the backyard and showed me where he was pulling out some shrubs and landscaping, and the patch of dirt he was working in. My third signal was a nice double tapping 62 VDI signal on the DĒUS II.  As I was probing and scraping the topsoil with my pinpointer, I seen the outline of the missing yellow gold ring appear!

Success!!

Another smile for the book!!

Men’s Platinum Ring recovered in Spring Grove Il.

  • from Rockford (Illinois, United States)

I received a phone call from Jessica on Monday 5/25/2026. She said that her son had lost his platinum wedding ring the day before at her nieces house while either playing bags or throwing the football around. We agreed to meet the following day at her nieces house to search for the missing ring. When I arrived on Tuesday afternoon Jessica met me there and took me into the backyard and showed me where the bags boxes were set up and told me that they were playing catch with a football after the bags tournament was over. So I started a grid search in the backyard and after about an hour I’d worked all of the way across the yard without finding it.  There was a area near a firepit that was giving off a mix of multiple signals during my search so I decided to give that area another thorough search at different angles.  While rechecking the area I could just barely hear a double tapping low tone mixed in with all of the other signals. So I swept the area with the pinpointer. As I was sweeping the grass I heard the pinpinpointer hit something hard! When I looked closely I could just barely see the shiny platinum ring poking out of the thick green grass!!

Success!!

Another smile for the book!!

Lost diamond engagement ring in the grass in Ocoee, Florida…Found and happily returned to owner!

How does an engagement ring end up in the thick grass? There are literally dozens of ways that rings can get lost in someones yard and on this occasion Annie and her husband had just pulled up into their drive way and were getting out of their car when Annie’s hands were feeling a bit swollen due to the summer humidity. She wanted to remove her rings before going inside and she tried pulling her rings off and all of a sudden they both just popped off and went flying into the grass. Here is a short text from her husband of that shocking experience. “My wife dropped her wedding band and engagement ring in our yard. We found the wedding band but not the engagement ring. We bought a metal detector and spent a whole day searching with no luck. We were stressed and anxious. I texted Mike and he made time to come see us the very next day. He was very professional and kind. I showed him the area and he found it in less than 5 minutes! Don’t waste your time and money on a metal detector when you can ask Mike! I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends! Thank you Mike!”

Actually feeling your rings come off and knowing the exact area where they landed is a huge help in trying to find and recover your lost rings. It was an honor to help Huy and his dear wife and I thank God for giving me the privilege to help them and anyone else who asks for my help! I do not find every ring that I am asked to look for but I always try my very best and assure people to never give up hope!

How can I help you or someone you know?
