Lost Ring in Backyard in Knoxville

  • from Knoxville (Tennessee, United States)

I was contacted by Adam because he lost his wedding ring in his backyard. Adam told me he took his ring off an set it ontop of his phone on his deck prior to working in his yard. As a rain shower approach he grabbed his phone and ring to go inside and dropped his ring in the grass somewhere. He searched the previous day and couldn’t find his ring. While his wife was looking to rent a metal detector she came across theringfinders.com and found me. I arrived the same day he called and found his ring in about five minutes.

Lost White Gold Ring w/Diamonds Found in Elizabeth Park, Trenton Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Slippery Slope…..

…..Only a month into their engagement, Billy and his fiancée wanted to take a few pictures in beautiful Elizabeth Park. The park boasts of gorgeous scenery and picturesque bridges spanning small water channel off the Detroit River. The park also was a spot for a few war of 1812 skirmishes and has been quite attractive to relic hunters over the years. Arriving at the park they were welcomed by a brief rainstorm. After parking, as they descended a grass slope towards a bridge, she slipped on the grass and tumbled to the bottom. Regaining composure, they made it to the bridge. After a few pics they came back towards the car on a flatter route. At the car she discovered her ring missing. Being familiar with the park I knew where the young couple had this mishap. Using my MXT metal detector I started halfway between the slope and bridge. Grid searching carefully as I got near the bridge, I got a great signal. Reaching down with my hand-held pin pointer revealed her ring! I shouted out to Billy who was about 100 feet away still combing the slope. He ran towards me and was amazed that the ring was there! Billy agreed that the recovery helps sets the stage for their marriage being able to handle any type of terrain.

LOST 14k WHITE GOLD ENGAGEMENT RING IN CHARLOTTE, NC…… FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text last night asking for help to find an engagement ring lost in their backyard. We planned on me being there at 9:30 am.

Story goes, they were laying on blanket in the backyard when she had put ring on her pinky, stood up and it slipped off into the thick grass. They searched and searched, bought a pinpointer and even ordered a metal detector as well.

He found me online and asked if I could help.

I made the hour and half drive, get the location, turn on and set up my machine, take a step and boom there it was!

Love helping people find the little priceless things they lost and put them back in their life!

Lost Smart Ring Found in Royal Oak Michigan

The One Ring to Rule Them All?…,,,,

…How about a smart ring? Some of the features include health, heart monitoring, and can track where you go, the ad mentioned. This caught Joey’s attention and for a moment his thoughts went back to one of his favorite superheroes….. The Green Lantern and his power ring…. How cool would it be to have something similar but different in the sense of helping change how he could track his health. Further reading checked all the boxes and Joey bought one. But what happed next isn’t your average superhero story. When he called and said he lost his smart ring I asked if it was so smart why did it jump off his finger? lol. He said as he was leaving a little league game it started raining and the ring was lost in a grass area near the parking lot. Using my MXT metal detector it only took a few minutes, and the ring was recovered in the grass. Joey was thrilled that the future was back on his finger, and he was ready again to simplify his life with just a touch. The question remains tho, with all this ring’s monitoring and tracking true love capabilities, are you ready to say I Do with one?

Lost and found Diamond ring in Whitby Ontario

Received a text from Shauna about her loosing her diamond and gold engagement ring. She lost it over a week ago, in her backyard, while planting her vegetable and flower beds. She had taken her ring off, not to loose it, and placed it in her pant pocket. Unfortunately, she was also using the same pocket to hold her phone. About six hours later, while having taken her phone in and out of her pocket numerous times, she realized her ring was missing. The family spent many hours looking for the ring to no avail. She also tried using a metal detector but it only sounded off fifty percent of the time (tried it once the ring was found). Once I arrived, I was able to find her ring within thirty minutes by one of the vegetable Gardens. Another happy ending. Life is good.

Lost – Gold Diamond Heirloom Ring, Ponce Inlet, FL. – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I had been on the beach all morning when I got a call from June.  She said that her friend

Daphne had lost her grandmother‘s ring at the dog park at Ponce Inlet. I told her I was nearby

and they said they could meet me there in one hour.

When June and Daphne arrived, Daphne was very distraught about losing her grandmother’s

ring. They took me to the river and showed me where they had been. I gridded all the entire

area … No luck. It was very hot so I told them they could leave, and I would finish the search

and give them a call if I had any questions.

They had only been gone about five minutes when (in my best Columbo fashion) I called June

and asked her when they had noticed the ring was missing. She said they had actually pulled

over in a Truist bank and checked for it on the way home. I told her I was getting nothing at the

dog park and that she might want to go to the bank and check the parking lot. She said it

couldn’t be there because she would’ve noticed it

Five minutes later I got a call from Daphne saying they had found the ring in the bank parking

lot…broken but repairable.

The ring was not found with a metal detector, but nevertheless… Mission accomplished!!!

Yellow Gold Engagement Ring Lost in the Surf, Found and Returned Murrells Inlet SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

This recovery started with a text message saying, “Good afternoon, Jim, are you still in the business of searching for rings? We are visiting from Ohio and may need your services.” I called the number attached to the text message and spoke with Kevin. He told me that the ring had been lost about 10:30 a.m., which was right at mid tide. When I asked how deep, I heard a young lady in the background say ankle deep. Timing was perfect because it was now about 2 p.m. and the tide had turned, and it was now low tide. I told him I could be there in an hour, he agreed, and I was out the door.

When I arrived, I met Caroline, who had lost her yellow gold engagement ring. Caroline, her mother, Beth, Caroline’s fiancé and I walked out to the beach. They pointed out where they had been sitting and then Caroline showed me the area she had been. The story was that she was throwing a football with her right hand and shortly thereafter looked at her left hand and the ring was gone. I started an east/west grid search, perpendicular to the ocean. Knowing the ring was yellow gold, and looking at the size of it, I knew I was looking for a VDI (visual display indicator) of mid-teens on the screen. About my 3rd grid line, I got a great signal and a solid 16 VDI. I glanced up at Caroline and gave her a smile, positive I had found her ring. I was surprised trying to scoop her ring out of the hole, in just a little over 4 hours the ring was about 6 inches deep. When I got it out of the hole and found it in the sand, I held it up so Caroline could see it. She had her hands over her mouth, but she was very happy and relieved to get her treasure back where it belongs. On the way back from the beach, as we crossed the street to the house, the other 17 members staying in the house (family, I assumed) were cheering. One gentleman jokingly said that I would be the dedicated ring bearer at Caroline’s wedding in Cincinnati, Oh in Aug.

Caroline – I’m so happy I could help find your lost treasure and get it back where it belongs. I wish you all the best in life.

Lost Gold Ring Found in Troy Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Hoppy Endings….

While Jim was setting up the Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren yesterday his gold ring came off. Although often told he is too old to participate, I told him he was never too old to search for gold. The plan was hatched to meet this morning before the festivities began. Waiting a few to let a brief rainfall pass we wondered where the ring egg-scaped to, I mentioned that the ring had way more karats than the easter bunny but then what would a rabbit do with a gold ring? Laughing, I hopped into a grid search in the suspected area. Near some longer grass a good signal came thru my headphones from the metal detector. Reaching down with my Garrett carrot pin pointer it signaled, revealing Jim’s gold ring! Handing it to him I said… Well, this Easter turned out to be all it’s cracked up to be….. and somebunny needs some chocolate!

Lost Gold Ring Found Inside Vehicle in New Baltimore Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Stow-Away Survivor……

Stowaway/Stow-Away situations come in many forms, those involving people usually end tragically but a few live to talk about it. People who Stow-Away items hoping to return later to recover them are often victims of time or an unforeseen occurrence which prevents that from happening. What happened to Jacob’s fiancée’s ring? Would it suffer the same fate of never knowing where it disappeared? It all started when Jacob and fiancée were visiting family to work on a project. With overalls on the Fiancée was eager to get to work and spend time with the family. Moving in and out of the house, playing tug of war with the dogs, she thought she had the ring on out with the dogs and then she thought she put her ring into one of the overalls pockets. End of the day had her changing out of the overalls and driving to dinner with her thinking she put the ring back on. Next morning the ring was nowhere to be found. For over a week they looked for the ring with no luck. On site I metal detected with my MXT metal detector over the bare looking ground and a few leaf piles where she remembers being. No Signals. The only place yet to check was her vehicle and the overalls. When she arrived and found out the ring was still missing, she started to get really stressed. I scanned over the overalls with no ring signal. Proceeding to the vehicle I was reaching around and felt a round shaped object in a difficult place to access. Changing up my position I was able to reach further and grasp the whole object, which happened to be her ring! She screamed with excitement when I handed it to her and Jacob exclaimed it’s been riding around with us all week! I said yes!,,,,, a successful recovery of a stow-away you’ll be able to talk about for years to come!
