Lost wedding ring two years ago, Orlando, Fl….Found with metal detector!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

Recently Robyn was looking on her Facebook and noticed an article about a metal detecting service made up of people who specialize in finding lost jewelry. Two years ago her husband Dave, was doing some yard work pulling weeds around a thick rose bush and ended up loosing his wedding ring in the process. They tried searching for it several times and a neighbor even used a cheap metal detector but ended up striking out! Dave’s wedding ring was a hand-me-down from his grandparents and being a rather thin gold band they had a jeweler custom remake it by adding two other gold bands. Robyn really wanted to find Daves ring and that led to the search for someone to help. It was Fathers Day and what better gift then to try and locate his lost wedding ring and get it back to him on this special day!

After meeting Robyn and Dave and hearing the story of that eventful day two years ago, I set up my Garrett AT Max and began detecting around the bushes where Dave spent most of that day. My very first target was a solid 46 and I thought for sure that was his ring…but not so fast! It turned out to be a small triangular piece of aluminum flashing from the trim around the roof. And the next 20 plus targets all turned out to be very similar items…small pieces of aluminum. (The construction guys must have set up their equipment right there years ago when they did the trim job and dropped all the scrap in one place!). I knew I needed to remove every last piece and it took a good hour using my metal detector. There were places where I could not use my detector so I opted to use my pin pointer…also a Garrett brand item! So I got down on my hands and knees and proceeded to stick the end down into the mulch and dirt probing for Dave’s ring. More aluminum pieces and a few nails here and there. The metal detector would discriminate out the nails and other ferrous (metal) items but my pin pointer detects all metal therefore I was digging a bit more junk targets. Ten minutes later…low and behold I spotted a glimmer of gold in a pile of dirt and I shouted to Robyn, “Hey, hey, hey here you go!!” She let out a holler and came a running!

Again I gave thanks to God for putting me in the exact place and for allowing me to be able to reunite Dave and Robyn with their lost ring!

I received a message from Brandyn near Trimble, Ohio that he had lost his wedding ring and that he had contacted another member of the  https://theringfinders.com/ that had referred me as I was closer to his area. Brandyn said he knew he was out of the counties I had listed (I’m in Lancaster, Ohio so I do Fairfield, Hocking and Perry Counties Ohio) but he was hoping I would make an exception, which I did!  We arranged a day & time that worked for both of us and met at the property!  It was pretty far out in the country in Morgan County & very close to Athens County. Brandyn explained they brushhogged and mowed an area of tall grass. He was working and picking up piles of the grass & weeds & throwing them over a fence and at some point saw his wedding ring was missing! After trying to find it without luck he contacted The Ring Finders website which led to me being there to help!

After showing me the areas where he was working and pointing to the fence by the woods, we hoped it was in the mowed area still and not thrown over, but I was ready to try my best with my Garrett AT Max Waterproof Metal Detector! I started detecting & when I heard ‘that sound’ I knew it had to be it, FOUND within a few minutes! I love this detector and even more handing the ring back to Brandyn! His smile showed how happy he was! It’s rarely that quick so it was a blessing!

If you have lost a ring or jewelry, or something valuable and/or meaningful to you, please contact me!

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Huntington Beach

Christine called me on her way home from the beach and wanted to know if I could find her White Gold and Diamond wedding ring. She had put her ring in her pants pocket only to have it fall out when she picked them up.

She was to far away to meet me so she sent me a google image with a pin drop of her location.

Once I arrived at the beach I gridded the area but couldn’t find the ring so I started to grid an area next to my original location and that’s where I found this beautiful ring.

Grandmother’s ring recovered in Asbury Park by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call asking if I could help with a recovery in Asbury Park. While enjoying the day at the beach Anna’s grandmother’s ring flew off her hand and disappeared into the sand. She asked her fiancé to look up metal detector on google, thinking they’d buy one and in doing so found Ring Finder instead. I gave her a call and met up with her at the beach. She took me where they were sitting and in a short amount of time she had her grandmother’s ring back on her hand. They asked not to have their pictures posted. All in all a happy Anna and a great ending to the day.

Platinum ring recovered at Bolsa Chica Beach

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

Call Surf City Ring Finder 714-944-0555

Jon and Priscilla were were enjoying their day at the beach until he lost his Platinum wedding band.

I was test driving a car with my Son when Jon called me and explained that he was brushing the sand off his hands after putting sunscreen on and that’s when his ring flew into the sand.

By the time I arrived Jon told me they had been searching  the sand for over an hour looking for the ring. I took me about 5-10 minutes of searching to find his ring. It was a little bit farther away from where he lost it then he thought.

Another successful ring recovery in the books.

Neha called me and asked if I could help find Abhi’s gold ring. They were celebrating Holi, a Hindu festival of colors when his gold ring came loose and fell into the sand. I told Neha I was 10 minutes away but the line to get in was more like 45 minutes. They waited patiently for my arrival and were very delighted when I arrived and found his ring in just a few minutes.

Lost Diamond Ring, Kits Beach Dog Park…Found!

I got a call last night from a young man who said his wife had lost her wedding band possibly at Kits Beach Dog Park. I asked my standard questions to see how certain they were of the location and after talking for a few minutes we set up a time to meet the next morning at 8 AM, when I got there the tide was high and very close to the logs. When I met Dave and Stephanie they showed me the area that she was petting dogs and it was the front logs closest to the water, unfortunately she also pointed in the water saying she had stepped away from the log and was standing over there when the tide was out. This would put me in about 3 feet of water if the ring wasn’t found in the dry sand. Nothing like a cold dip in the ocean but I was prepared to go in and do a search if needed, fortunately I found her beautiful ring close to the logs where she was sitting petting the dogs. This ring meant the world to Dave & his wife because it was a gift from his uncle, Dave’s uncle sadly passed away last year due to  COVID-19 and as you could imagine finding this ring was extremely important to both of them. I absolutely love what I do! I’m extremely proud of my directory and the members who have joined to do exactly what I’m doing here in Vancouver and that’s helping find peoples lost smiles & helping continue the stories to these wonderful and sentimental items.

I have the best job in the world I get to find peoples lost Smiles!

Josh’s friend called me from the beach to ask if I could help find Josh’s ring which flew off his finger while he was playing football.

This was a very quick recovery, I located the ring on my second signal from my detector. It helped that they were able to narrow down the search area to a small piece of beach.

Dominic contacted me asking for some help in locating a lost gold ring. Due to the cold weather front that had just arrived the night before he was gathering some firewood for the home. While collecting the wood he lost a very sentimental gold wedding band. He had received this ring from his father ten years previous and to this day it has a lot of meaning and connection to his dad. After realizing the ring had gone missing Dominic was cautious not to walk around the wood pile too much as he didn’t want to step on the ring and damage or press it into the ground. He was also quick to make a post to social media looking for a metal detector. This is when someone told him to contact TheRingFinders.com as they had used our services in the past. Later that evening I was at his residence with my equipment in hand. Without wasting time I got the search under way as a full on snow storm was quickly approaching.

Dominic clearly described his actions indicating that he did take some work gloves off during his work. He also used a riding lawnmower to haul the firewood up the driveway to the home. He became aware of the missing ring rather quickly so we had a very strong assumption the ring was most likely lost during his wood gathering actions.

I scanned the easy sections of driveway first, inspected the riding lawnmower then rounded back to the woodpile. Dominic’s ring was recovered just at the start of the wood pile. His ring was visually obscured under a few leaves as rings are much of the time. Dominic was rewarded with a hassle free recovery simply by reaching out to TheRingFinders.com and getting a Lost Item Recovery Specialist involved soon after his loss. He is happy to have his fathers ring back safely on his finger.

If you lost an item of value reach out to me directly for a quick chat so I can formulate a recovery plan for you!
