Lost necklace in the lagoon, Lavallette NJ, Recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

I received a call from AnnMarie about some items that were accidentally dumped into her lagoon. She had seen one of my stories about a water recovery, and figured it was worth giving me a call. She explained what had happened. Over 2 months prior her daughter was at the beach, and had placed her jewelry in her beach bag for safe keeping while she went into the water. At the end of the day, she placed her beach items in the back yard by the deck, and went inside the house. AnnMarie figured she would help and accidentally dumped her necklaces into the lagoon while dumping the sand out of the beach bag. At that point she figured they were gone, until she saw my post detailing a very similar recovery. I knew they were right up against the bulkhead after she explained in detail exactly what she had done. We basically decided to do the recovery but didn’t decide when, as I am in her area quite often. Ann sent me the address an told me it would be fine to go, even though they would not be home. I had some time a few days later, and swung by to look. Conditions were perfect, and about 35 min into the search I had both necklaces. She had no idea that I had gone and I decided to snap a few pics and shoot them over to her. AnnMarie was shocked to say the least, we made arrangements to mail them back to her, and in just a few days they were back for safe keeping. Thank you again, so glad I was able to help.

Lost ring in the lagoon, Ortley Beach NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Caroline contacted me about a ring that slipped between the boards on her dock, and landed on the bottom of her lagoon. She said it was about 2 years ago, and wondered if I was able to recover it. I asked her some questions, and determined that I needed to come out and confirm a few things before agreeing to do the search. We decided it was worth a try, and I would attempt ASAP. After 2 weeks we met at the house, and i suited up and got into the water. It was just workable at a depth of 5 1/2′. I searched for about 45 min and not one signal that even sounded close to a ring. She told me to give up, but I wont quit, knowing the ring had to be there someplace. I worked out past the dock about 2′ where I got a solid tone that I knew was the ring. I had to put on a weight belt once I started to dig, and that didn’t work so good either. I decided to drag the ring back under the dock where it would be much easier to work. That took another 30 min. and FINALLY the ring was in my scoop. Unfortunately Caroline had to leave, so she was reunited with the ring at a later date. I guess the prop wash over the years pushed the ring out to where it was located.

Lost necklace in the sand, Beach Haven NJ LBI recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Hannah called about her necklace that disappeared into the sand the day before, when they were enjoying a nice day at the beach. They were in Beach Haven on LBI, and I told her I would be there ASAP. When I arrived we talked a bit about the situation, then headed right up to the beach. She was pretty sure of the location due to the fact there were a few good landmarks close by. Prior to my arrival she had also boxed out the area, which is always a great help. I turned on the machine and they walked up to the bench on the dune crossover. I think they had just sat down when I held up her beautiful necklace and pendant. Gotta love when your clients have a really good location to start the search. thanks Hannah, it was a pleasure.

Bayville NJ Lost wedding band in the grass Recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder September 29 2022

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)
Mary sent me a message about a lost wedding band. She explained that her husband Kyle was washing the cars and his wedding ring had disappeared. He searched the cars, flower beds by the hose, and all around in the grass. They even tried with a metal detector and had no luck. I arranged to meet at the house after work the next day. After talking with Kyle about where the ring could possibly be, he went inside and told me to just ring the bell. He barley had closed the door when my machine gave a tone that was without a doubt his ring. I rang the bell and the look on his face was priceless. Later on after the recovery I found out Kyle and I share the same birthday, Happy Birthday Kyle, this was a great day for sure.

Forked River NJ Necklace lost at the Lake recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder august 2022

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Aubreigh. She was at the lake on Wednesday and somehow she lost her extremely sentimental necklace that was given to her by her late mother. The area where their blanket was is where she felt it was definitely lost. Sure enough, within 30 seconds if got a scratchy tone, moved the sand with my foot, and there it was. The look on her face was priceless. She was by far the youngest person I have had call, and my gosh, so professional, and determined.

Surf City NJ (LBI) Lost Wedding Ring on the Beach recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call from John today. He was at the beach in Surf City NJ (LBI) when his platinum wedding band fell into the sand. He and his wife searched for a while and decided to call in a professional metal detector. He had the spot marked perfectly, and a few swings later I had the ring. WELL, while cleaning off the sand I dropped it and had to find it again. Much to my surprise, it was 7-8″ down. Just shows you how deep they can go.
