White Gold Wedding Set Goes Flying in the Ocean While Playing Volleyball, Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Just before 9 p.m. on the 4th of July,  I got a message from Carol stating “Good evening! I lost my ring today and just found out that you might be able to help me. Please let me know if this is possible.” I immediately replied saying “Call me” with my phone number. I didn’t hear anything from her and got to thinking maybe she was leery of calling some guy she didn’t know. So, I followed up with another message saying “I can help, need details and it’s easier if we talk than text.” I immediately got a call from her husband Steven. Low tide was at 11 p.m. so I figured if I had a good shot at finding it, now would be the time to go. Steven told me Carol lost her white gold wedding set this morning between 11-12 a.m. while playing volleyball around low tide. He also said that they were in the water between ankle and shin deep. Oh-oh, I was hoping she lost it closer to mid afternoon during high tide. Ok, a minor setback but no big deal. I asked Steven if he could meet me to show me the right spot. Then I remembered this was July 4th and the beaches would be packed with tourist watching fireworks and parking would be non-existent.  A minor setback #2. With the instructions he gave me, I knew exactly where to go except I didn’t know how far north of the beach access to go. On my way there he sent me a Google earth map with the area circled which was perfect. When I got to the beach, as I expected, there was no where to park. I finally found a spot to park about a block away, grabbed my gear and headed to the beach. As I’m walking out on the beach, in the pitch black, people were 3 to 4 rows deep sitting in the sand or on beach chairs. I made my way to the water’s edge and started a perpendicular grid search. Then the fireworks started!!!  I thought I was in a war zone and right in the line of fire, as everything was being shot off towards the ocean.

Ok, I focused on the mission at hand, which was to find Carol’s wedding set. What was ankle to shin deep water this morning for them was now a huge pool of water that was waist deep. The water was deep enough that I kept my headlamp off so I wouldn’t attract the baitfish, which in turn would attract bigger fish. Thankfully, the fireworks gave me enough light to see where I was going. I was probably a little more than an hour and a half into the search and about half way through the area Steven had circled when I got a great signal on the Nox 800. The VDI number was 13 and a little higher than what I thought it might be for a white gold set. I was waist deep and carefully dug the target out of the hole. I checked the hole and made sure it was clear. I then walked back up to the wet sand before I emptied the sand out of the scoop so I wouldn’t accidently shake the target out in the ocean. When I dumped the sand out on the beach, I turned on my headlamp and could see a little glimmer of something shiny. I reached down and picked up a beautiful lady’s wedding set. I didn’t have a complete description of Carol’s rings so I called Steven. He started explaining it and then said “here’s Carol, she can explain it better.” As she’s identifying the ring I’m holding to perfection, I took a picture and text it to her. I told her to check her text messages and I hear, with a lot of enthusiasm “Oh my gosh, you found my ring!” What a feeling finding someone’s treasure that they never thought they’d see again. With no way of knowing what the ocean, tides, and tons of sand will do between tide cycles, I’m not real sure her rings wouldn’t have been buried below a metal detectors capabilities by low tide the next morning.

Carol and Steven – Thank you so much for trusting me to help find your lost treasure. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and have a safe drive back home to Ohio!

Chuck and his wife were relaxing in chairs on the bulkhead of their Siesta Key Condo watching the boats pass by on the inland waterway. Chuck was leaning forward fidgeting with his wedding ring and it slipped over the end of his finger and out of his hand. The ring bounced once on the concrete bulkhead and dropped into the water. He got a small net and some scuba gear hoping to scrap it up out of the bottom but he had no luck. Later that evening his wife found SRARC Ring Finders and contacted Howard Metts. Howard transmitted a callout and Mike took the challenge, contacted Chuck and arranged to meet him in the 4th of July. It was a very difficult hunt due to a large amount of iron spread throughout area. After about an hour and a half of hunting Mike was able to separate the ring from the iron and out of the deep it came. Now this was a pretty good day for Chuck, he was able to celebrate Independence Day, His 41st wedding anniversary, and the return of his wedding ring originally placed on his finger 41 years ago. He was a very happy man.

Lost White Gold Ring Found In Toledo Ohio

Red, White and BOOM!…..

…..Going into her 2nd week of marriage, Amanda’s 2 rings came off while at a fireworks display. She recalled carrying coolers, food and beverages up and down some stairs. Early today they located the smaller of the 2 rings but couldn’t find the larger ring. Feeling red with anger, white with fear and blue of not seeing the ring again I told her on the phone I was up for some high flying fun of a search. Scanning the land that I love, the metal detector rang out with the sound of freedom. When I reached down in the grass, something was sparkling so bright I thought it was a firework… but it was her wedding ring! When she came to the spot and saw her ring, her smile was indeed as bright as fireworks as she displayed her excitement with indepen-dance! We soared high on the great feeling of matching the spirit of the holiday by bringing freedom back to the ring and were thankful we live in the U.S. of Yay! As I departed with a piece of pie on this great 4th of July I said, Keep calm and sparkle on!

Ring lost in Coronado found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Anna contacted me about 8:30am saying that her husband of 5 days lost his wedding ring when he shook water off his hand, and the ring went flying off. They’re honeymooning here from Boston and would be leaving the next day, so, they were hoping I could find his ring before they left. Being July 3rd, Coronado has a big parade starting at 10am and would be very crowded soon , so, I had to get on my horse and ride! The trip over wasn’t too bad until I got into town where the parade was to take place. I eventually got over to the beach about an hour later, and tried to find a parking spot. None to be had anywhere close, so, I ended up parking a bit over a mile away. I finally get to the meeting spot in the dry sand where the ring was lost and got the low down on how it was lost and about where it should be. Sure enough, after a couple of scrap aluminum targets in 2-3 minutes, I got a nice solid 11 on my Equinox and pulled the ring out of it’s sandy resting spot. Now the happy newlyweds can head out and continue their life together with the rings they came with. A pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the reward.

“I FIND JEWELRY”  call Stan the Metal Detector Man if you need  help ..  949-500-2136

…. Maddy had been laying out on the beach at Newport Beach, CA. working in her summer tan. She took off her white gold pearl promise ring setting it on her towel while applying lotion. When she got ready to leave, she pick up the towel and walked about fifty feet before realizing the ring had fallen in the sand.

She called her friend to help her search the sand. They spent more than three hours methodically searching the sand with the help of several other people who were just passing by. Finally someone told her about my services. She got my contact information with a quick online search.

I met her on the beach which is only a few miles from where I live. We walked over to the 40ft.x 40ft. loss site. I chose to begin the grid search in the center. After beginning the third grid line I got a perfect signal. One quick shallow scoop revealed Maddy’s ring.

She was so grateful and happy to have this special ring back, saying I can’t believe we found it. She also was sorry that she had not called me sooner. She didn’t like how frustrating it was to hand search the sand for so many hours, but she commented she did get a little more tan time.

Maddy’s smile tells the whole story. This is what keeps me doing what I do..

18k Clemson Ring Lost Throwing a Football at the High Tide Line, Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a call from Brent, who was referred by Joe Denton, asking if I could help find a lost Clemson Ring. He said his friend, Ed, whose daughter Natalie’s friend Britta had lost her ring within the last 10 minutes Knowing it was high tide, I asked him how deep in the water Britta was, and he replied she was just getting her feet wet. I got the location and told him I’d be there in 10-15 minutes. This being a Saturday and 4th of July weekend the traffic was very busy.

I called Brent when I got close and he was waiting at the beach access for me. As we walked out on the beach he directed me to where Natalie and Britta were standing. I introduced myself to both of them and then got more of the story. Britta showed me about where she was standing when she threw the football, and Natalie showed me about where she was standing to catch it. Thankfully, neither one was in the ocean, but Natalie had been standing close to a buried storm drain pipe. The search area was no more than 20 yards long. Someone had mentioned the Clemson ring was 18k gold, so I knew what number I was looking for on the Equinox 800. I started my grid search parallel to the beach. My fourth line I hit it, a booming 9 VDI. I just looked up at Britta and smiled, I don’t think she realized what the look was for. I took a scoop of sand and dumped it on the beach, moved the sand with my foot and saw the ring. Somebody else in her group saw it about the same time and reached down and snatched it up and handed it to me. Big smiles, a few hugs, maybe a couple of tears, and Britta had her college treasure back on her finger.

Thanks to all for trusting me to help find Britta’s ring.

Britta – I wish you all the best on your future endeavors.

Lost white gold wedding ring Spokane Valley, FOUND!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

After a few closure searches a Ring Finder might be thinking he is on a losing streak. However today my losing streak stopped. Casey, Stefanie’s husband called me this morning with a request to find his wife’s lost wedding ring. Casey explained to me that the ring was lost in their car. I asked my normal questions of did she feel it come off, and did you look for it. All answers checked out, so I headed over to their house. Casey went over the whole scenario of how the ring came off and it involved a crying baby, some hand lotion and a quick reach to retrieve an item out of the back seat. So in the back seat is where I started my search. I looked up, down, left, right, up, down, left, right, and repeat. Your eyes are the detector when you are searching in a car. I cleared three seats and was just finishing the fourth when I had that moment. A Ring Finders recovery moment. I looked at Casey and said “I think I see it”. Casey was in shock and disbelief. So I asked him does it have two bands and he confirmed that what I was seeing was it. I told Casey that the ring was just under the left hand side 3rd row seat on the frame rail. However, the ring was sitting under the ledge of the rail. My fat fingers couldn’t grab it so we were forced to unbolt the back seat. After removing the two bolts and lifting up the seat I said, “I have to take a picture”. Because the ring was sitting on the rail just waiting to be picked up. After Casey went and got Stefanie I was able to place the ring in her hand. Her mourning tears dried instantly and their happy smiles came back. Not even a car can stop a Ring Finders happy ending. Thank you Casey and Stefanie for trusting The Ring Finders to find your lost ring.
