Strawberry-Patch Ring – Fond du Lac, WI

  • from Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin, United States)

With winter approaching, Matt was spreading a protective layer of straw over his strawberry patch near Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. That’s when his 14k white gold wedding ring slipped off his hand in the cold. Despite renting a metal detector and searching through the straw, the ring could not be found. It was like the proverbial needle in a haystack.

Like many people in Matt’s situation, the rental of a metal detector can end up being a frustrating experience. The ground was full of metallic debris, leftovers from nearly a century of farming. Matt’s experience with the rented machine was similar to that of others. His ring remained in hiding and he wondered if he would ever see it again. That’s when Matt found me on The Ring Finder’s directory of metal-detecting specialists.

I met up with Matt late in the afternoon, just before sunset. He led me to the wire-mesh and net enclosure where the plants were protected from deer and birds. Setting up my XP-Deus ll equipment, it wasn’t long before my earphones were telling me the story of long-discarded metal objects in the ground. Little wonder Matt’s rented machine proved futile. Newer, state-of-the-art technology, however, triumphed over the obstacles. It only took about 5 minutes before a conductivity signal in the range of mid-grade gold flashed on my controller. A pin-pointer quickly located the target beneath the thick layer of straw. I let Matt pull away the straw to reveal and retrieve his precious ring. The smile on Matt’s face tells the rest of the story and shows as I’ve said so many times, “It’s more than a ring!”

*** We found it! I say that because, Cheyenne and the internet were responsible for the successful recovery of her gold class ring. She had been at Newport Beach late that afternoon  staying long enough to watch the sunset. Her ring slipped off her finger into the dry soft sand. She only spent a few minutes trying to find it before realizing she needed help.

She did an internet search for ideas to get help. After finding my contact information, she called me. I was able to make the short drive that evening, meeting her at the location. Another thing that helped find her ring in a timely  manner was, she was able to stay at the location. Many people leave the location of the loss making it difficult to get back to the general area.

Minutes after meeting Cheyenne a quick grid search with my high end metal detector, I was able to find her very sentimental class ring. Unlike others that spend hours and sometimes days searching for their lost item in the sand without help, Cheyenne did the right thing, find a experienced metal detector expert. The right tool for the job with a person experienced with search techniques to find small metallic keepsakes.

Call now don’t waste your time and don’t worry about possibly losing your cherished sentimental keepsake forever.. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE.. Searching for a lost item is a process of elimination.. We can do it!!!   Stan ..949-500-2236

20 Day Old Diamond Engagement Ring Lost, Recovered and Returned in West Chester, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Every woman’s nightmare???….3 weeks post engagement and your ring is missing!!! Maddie is the 3rd future bride that while engaged contacted me looking for help locating a lost engagement ring. I’m proud to say I’m 3 for 3 in being able to recover those rings! Maddie found me in the Ring Finder directory after her ring came up missing after her daily horse ride at her stable in West Chester/Downingtown, PA. I met her the next day at the farm and she told me prior to riding she put her ring in a small side pocket of her riding pants…the same pocket she keeps her phone in. While riding she took her phone in and out of her pocket several times….suggesting the ring probable fell out then. Alternatively, she thought maybe the ring fell out in stable following the ride while cleaning/grooming her horse…and the ring got shoveled up and out with all the hay and horse poop. When I first arrived I first scanned with my metal detector the 10 foot x 10 foot manure pile by the stable….I didn’t want to spend the hours scanning the riding ring if it might be right there in the poop pile…but nope…not there. Maddie then walked me out to the riding ring…the circular area was probably around 50 yards accross and she told me she pretty much criss-crossed the entire area on her ride. I decided to just start in middle and work outwards walking an a circular pattern with my metal detector…scanning outward and outward. 30 minutes into the search I received the beautiful surface gold ring signal I was hoping for….I looked down and there was this gorgeous white gold diamond ring!!! Maddie was standing 10 yards away looking down and slightly sad…I made a noise to get her attention and held up her ring!!! The visceral joyful relief on her face is what I live for!!! I was so happy to be able to reunite Maddie with her beautiful ring….I wish her the best in her life and her marriage!!!!

Sentimental Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Philadelphia, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Clifford contacted me through the Ring Finder Directory after losing his tantalum wedding band at a school playground in Philadelphia, PA. He texted me and asked if we could discuss my services and the details surrounding his lost ring. In speaking with him he conveyed he was supervising the children on the playground while his ring was in his pocket…he believed the ring probably fell to the ground after he took his phone in and out of his pocket several times. He noticed the ring was missing while still there but the grass was quite deep and the area where lost was large. He figured his only hope was a metal detector…hence the call. I met him at the school the next day and he showed me the area where he was standing when the ring was lost. School was in session at the time so I had quite an audience looking on! Like most school yards trash was abundant so my machine was very noisy and I had to hyper focus on only stopping for a “surface ring” signal unique to my detector. Well after about 20 minute of searching I finally got the signal I was looking for….after bending down and pushing the high grass aside….there was Cliff’s beautiful band! Cliff had to go to work so he wasn’t present when I found…I immediately texted him a picture of his ring…and received “My guy! You are awesome” text back! I was happy to leave the ring with one of his coworkers to get back to the rightful owner!!!

Class ring missing 50 years returned Wauconda, IL

  • from Trevor (Wisconsin, United States)

A few months ago, I got a call about looking for a ring in the water of Bangs Lake in Wauconda, IL.  The catch was that the ring has been lost since the 1970’s.  Long story short on that ring but I still have not found it yet.  What I did find was a class ring from the class of 1967 and luckily the ring had initials on the inside and all the details of the school were visible.  The school was contacted and the yearbook was found and the alumni program had contact info for the owner of the ring.

The story of the ring in a nutshell.  Guy gives ring to girlfriend in 1968 as a promise of a life together before he got drafted into the army where he served until his discharge in 1970.  Girl goes to beach for the day and loses ring in the water in 1968 and spent several hours trying to look through sand and mud in the water but was unable to locate it and had to give up.  Guy gets back from service, gets a stable job, they get married and are still married to this day.  I was able to meet up with them and get the ring back that they never thought they would see again after 55 years.

How to find a lost ring with a metal detector in Surrey, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver Ring Finder Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I received a call from a young man who lost his white gold wedding band in the ocean at White Rock beach in Surrey, BC. After asking my typical questions it came up that he had rented a metal detector and search for two days but couldn’t find it.

I often wonder how many people rent or buy a metal detector and search but don’t find their ring and give up??? I’m sure this happens more than one can imagine.

He was determined to get his ring back so he went online to search for someone with experience using a metal detector, and that’s when he found TheRingFinders directory and called me. This search took a few hours because the young man was out of town and I was searching in the wrong area until I FaceTimed him and got the correct location. Within 30 minutes I found his beautiful white gold ring.

I have the best job in the world, I love helping people more than anything I’ve ever done in my lifetime. I get to make people smile, I get to hear their stories of what their ring/lost items mean to them and see how happy it makes them feel when I find it.

The Tale of Three Missing Rings! Parkland County, Alberta Canada.

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

Debbi called me yesterday to see if I could come out to her acreage and help her find her Engagement/Wedding/Anniversary rings which where solder together. They were lost about 30 days ago while she was pulling her plants and cleaning up her flower beds around her house, so she thought!.

After asking Debbie my usual questions in regards to her lost Rings I agreed to meet her at her home around 2 pm. She showed me where her rings could be and the area she traveled to her compost pile with her wheelbarrow.

Firstly I search the flower beds and immediate area, no rings. I then headed to the compost pile, still no rings.  I asked Debbi more questions to try and trigger her memory as to where she had been that day. When she realized her rings where lost she told me she was all over the place and the rings could be anywhere?

After exhausting all possible search areas I told Debbi her rings where not in the area she told me they could be.  I told her the rings could be in the house and to look there.   I also asked if she had looked in her car but she said she had looked so I asked her to take another look. While I was picking up my markers I heard a loud scream, “I FOUND THEM”!  Her rings were in the spare tire wheel well, in the trunk of her Honda. They were in a safe place and who knows how long they would have remained there if I had not insisted that she checked her car.  Debbi was over the moon to have her rings back on her finger.

The moral of this tale is never give up! Thank you Debbi for entrusting me to help you locate your rings.
