14K Yellow Gold Wedding Band Lost in Resort Parking Garage, Found and Returned Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

This search started on Sunday Sept. 14, 2025, just before 4 pm with a text from Cody saying, “Hi Jim, I found your number on a metal detecting page. We just stayed at Sands Resort this weekend and my wife put her ring in our backpack cooler for safe keeping. When we went to put our beach wagon back in the car, we dumped out the sand. The backpack cooler never left the wagon and her ring was gone. We can only imagine we dumped it out in the parking deck. I was wondering if this would be something you could help with. We are 4 hours away. I called the number attached to the text message and got a few more details from Cody. One of the things he told me was the ring was a yellow gold wedding band that was part of a set, but this was just the wedding band that was lost. He said they were parked on the 5th level and 2 parking spaces to the left, directly across from the elevator. He also mentioned that they had left to go back home about 8 am that day. I’m thinking that our tourist season is winding down and there should be fewer guests at the resort.  I also thought there was a pretty good chance of finding his wife, Desiree’s wedding band. I told him I’d go a little later and would let him know when I was on my way.

About 7:30 pm I sent him a text saying, “On my way.” Since this was going to be strictly a visual search, I grabbed a flashlight and a small fan rake. The rake was in case I had to reach under a car if that’s where the ring was. I got to the resort about 8 pm and needed a parking card to get into the parking lot. I had to go in and explain what was going on to the front desk clerk and she gave me a card to park. As I’m driving through the maze of the parking garage, I’m noticing the first 3 levels of parking were completely full. Not what I was hoping for. When I got to level 5, it was almost empty of cars. I parked 1 spot to the right of the elevator and walked over to the elevator to make sure I was on the 5th level. There was a car parked in the 3rd spot, left of the elevator, but they left after I started looking around with the flashlight. I checked the 1st and 2nd spot and saw nothing. So, as usual when I can’t find what I’m looking for in the area it’s supposed to be in, I expand my search out. I looked out to the 6th spot on the left with no luck, so I started back to the right. As I’m getting ready to move my car, I glanced over on the 2nd spot to the right of the elevator and noticed a small object. As I walked over to it, Bingo, there was her ring just lying on the ground. I took a picture of me holding her ring and one of just the ring and sent it to him. In the text I said, “Cody, you need to go buy you a lottery ticket, now.” He immediately responded, “Brother you are a gift!!!” I called him telling him where I found it. He was positive it should have been on the left of the elevator. So, we’re thinking it either got kicked, flung out of the cooler or possibly rolled over to where it was. How it got to where it was, we’ll never know, but I was glad it did. I asked him to send me his name and address so I could get it in the mail tomorrow, Monday. He and Desiree were very excited to be getting it back.

They got the ring back on Thursday and I got the picture of Desiree and her big smile on Saturday.

Cody – thank you for calling me to help find Desiree’s treasure.

Jim

Lost Gold & Turquoise 25th Anniversary Ring at Honu Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Paul from Temecula, California and was celebrating his 25th Anniversary at the Ko Olina Resort.  Paul told me he was standing in knee deep water as his wife was taking his picture and a wave hit him and the 25th Anniversary Gold & Turquoise Ring, his wife had just given him, fell off into the shallow water and disappeared in the soft sand.  After trying unsuccessfully, the resort security gave him my number for the recovery.  I agreed to meet him that evening as I had a scuba dive hunt the next morning in a different lagoon.  When I arrived, Paul took me down to the shoreline to show me the area to hunt.  On the third leg of the grid in knee deep water I got a nice zinc penny tone on the Manticore but low and behold it was Paul’s amazing ring.  Anniversary saved!  Aloha to Paul!

Need a metal detector to find lost ring on Miami Beach

  • from Miami (Florida, United States)

Need a metal detecting service to find your lost jewelry, call / text Louis at (305) 608-1870. I’ve been metal detecting for almost 15 years and helping people recover their lost jewelry.

In the picture above this couple placed their wedding rings in a towel and when they went to dry off, the rings went flying but didn’t realize it until later.  Once rings hit the sand and you walk over it for a few minutes they dig themselves in a couple of inches under the sand and are almost impossible to find.  Luckily, they came across my number on the Internet and I was able to go out there and find both of them within minutes.  So if you’re in the same situation, whether it’s in the sand or in the water, give me a call

Lost diamond ring while hand feeding tarpons

  • from Miami (Florida, United States)

This was one of my most interesting recoveries to date.  I received a call from a woman who was down on vacation and went to Robbie’s in the Florida Keys.  It’s a tourist destination and marina.  They have a section where you can feed the tarpon.  You can actually see them in some of the photos circling around me.  She had lost her ring while feeding the fish. They jump out of the water and take the fish right out of your had.  The ring was there for a couple days. I knew it was gonna be a hard recovery because that marina has been there forever and I’m sure there was 50 years worth of garbage there. But after about two hours, I was able to find it.  It made for some great pictures.

So if you’ve lost any type of jewelry anywhere, give me a call and I’ll help you find it. Call/text louis at (305) 608-1870

Lost Cartier Promise ring in Crescent Lake, Florida…Found by Mike McInroe, Florida Ring Finder.

I received a call from a young lady named Joy who had dropped her Cartier ring off of a dock and needed some special help. The water at the end of the dock was just over 7 feet deep and there was no way she nor her father could hold their breath and dive down and attempt to recover her ring. Thoughts raced through her mind that maybe a fish picked it up and swam off with it or maybe the current pushed it way under the dock or it sunk down into the silty lake bottom to stay hidden forever…forever lost! Later that evening Joy went online to search for “Underwater metal detecting service” and came across theringfinders.com website and decided to give me a call. She and her parents were checking out of the Airbnb the next morning by 11:00am so I made arrangements to meet her at 8:30am the following morning and I was hoping and praying I would be able to recover her lost ring before they had to leave.

The next morning I arrived and set up my Blu3 Nemo dive system and used a PVC pole to mark the spot where Joy said she saw the splash where her ring hit the water. The bottom of the lake was sandy and smooth but the visibility was only a foot or so and as I descended down the pole I immediately got a strong signal! It was a 2.5 pound weight used for weight lifting so I left it there and continued searching. I covered the whole area, digging up sinkers and screws and pieces of aluminum and bottle tops, a knife/pliers, etc. After 40 minutes I was beginning to wonder if maybe Joy was mistaken about exactly where her ring fell into the water! I decided to go back and recheck all the larger deeper targets and I began at the PVC pole with the 2.5 weight and as I lifted it up to put it into my pouch I received a quiet signal just to the side of where the weight was. I ran my fingers through the sand and felt something round and ring like…and there it was…just inches away from the PVC pole marker!! As I surfaced I held my hand up with her ring on my little finger and Joy’s face was in shock and she was stunned. She told me later that she was starting to give up hope and then I came out of the water with her precious lost ring! How I thank God for allowing me to find Joy’s lost ring and be a blessing to her in her time of need.
How can I help you? Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029 and let’s talk!

Intentionally Lost Ring Found in Lebanon, TN

  • from Nashville (Tennessee, United States)

A client in Lebanon, TN called me on 09-18-2025 after finding my information on TheRingFinder website. His wife was upset this morning and threw her white gold with a diamond wedding ring in their very expansive back yard. I made the 45 minute drive and arrived within an hour of his call. Without getting into the details of the reason for his wife throwing the ring, I only asked where she was standing when she threw the ring, what direction she threw it and how hard she threw it. The client pointed out and approximate 30’ by 30’ area of the grassy yard. He also said he had scanned over the same 30’ by 30’ area with a cheap metal detector, which was evident by the countless clumps of grass that he had uprooted after getting a signal on that cheap metal detector he was using.

After about 30 minutes I located the gorgeous ring in the 4” tall grass. It was in fact with the 30’ by 30’ area the client said it would be in. The client was very grateful that the ring was recovered, but it goes without saying that neither the client or his wife wanted their picture taken with the ring.
