Sam emailed me Thursday evening June 20th and explained that he had lost his wedding ring in the waters of Witty’s Lagoon. I arranged to search the next day. Friday morning Sam and I connected,  I met up with his wife Heather and his daughter. After a short trip down a trail we arrived at the spot. I started searching and Sam arrived, he confirmed I was in the correct area. After several pull tabs and bottle caps, I hit the target I was looking for.  After 3 attempts to scoop it up, SUCCESS!

Heather gave me a big hug and put the ring back on Sam’s finger, what an awesome day, I love my job.

Jan posted in usedvictoria.com that she lost her wedding ring, I replied that I maybe able to help locate it for her. We arranged to meet at Gyro Beach where she was playing with her dog and lost her ring in the sand. It was 7 P.M. Monday evening and Jan walked me down the beach to the spot that she was standing while throwing a stick for her dog and felt her ring come off.
I got set-up and started searching and within 7 minutes Jan had her ring back where it belongs, on her finger. OMG she was so happy and surprised, I am going to tell all my friends and co-workers she told me . She told me that she had bought a metal detector hoping to recover her ring only to discover the learning curve was more than she expected.
I love my job, another great recovery.

Jan was at Gonzales beach today with her grandson and husband. She took off her rings to apply sunscreen and forgot them on her towel. When they packed up to head home picking up the towels the three rings ended up in the sand and hidden from sight.

Steve, Jan’s husband told me he never saw his wife cry so much after they searched, with no luck. Several hours they went on the internet and found this web site. The call came as I was just sitting down for dinner with my daughter and wife. I made plans to search at 7:30 p.m. and within 3 minutes all three rings were back where they belong. Jan was shocked that it only took two scoops to recover her three rings.

I love my job.

Monday June 18th  Jon and Cheryl were at Langford Lake boat ramp teaching their dog to swim. Jon told me, I do remember feeling it slip off when the dog I was holding started to swim towards shore. I remember my feet in the muck but I was facing the shore. I tried diving down when it happened and maybe I buried it with all the commotion. It’s platinum – not sure if that makes it harder to detect or not.
Cheryl contacted me June 26th, “Don can you help, My husband of just 9 months lost his wedding ring.”
I started searching that afternoon, After three failed attempts to recover this heirloom platinum wedding ring I returned one more time, it was bugging me that I was not able to recover and return this ring.
Well persistence paid off, found it and returned to a very happy couple.

I love my job.
