On Saturday March 10th 2018 I noticed on Craigslist a lost Gold necklace and ring which was LOST at Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. I was previously there hobby hunting but in the water earlier that morning. So, I replied to the post and I got in touch with Jessica. Jessica was more than happy to give me the info needed so i could narrow the search area as it is 9:45 in the evening and visibly would be poor. I packed up the equipment and kissed the wife and kids good night. I arrived at Waimea bay and start the search. almost 2 hours into the search and after many coins and rubbish I FIND THE JEWELRY! I was so excited to text Jessica while standing on the shoreline for a meeting the very next day. She agreed and we met up in Salt lake Where I was able to return her precious items. This hunt was very spontaneous and yet Successful. Thank you Jessica for allowing me to reunite your MISPLACED ITEM… Happy to find it but excited its back in the rightful owners hands. Lost Class Ring – Pensacola Beach Spring Break – FOUND!

What a great night recovery.  I got a call tonight from Debbie about 7:30 pm very worried about her daughter Lyndsay’s class ring.  It turns out that earlier in the afternoon on Pensacola Beach Lyndsay was trying to take a sunset picture of her gorgeous Texas A&M solid gold class ring and she dropped it straight down into the sand.  As is often the case, even though she thought she knew exactly where it was, she and her family couldn’t find it because of the way the sand moved the gold deeper and deeper.  They finally called me and were wondering if they should buy a metal detector.  I explained why I didn’t think that was a good idea and after a quick chat decided that I would head out to the beach to meet them immediately.  It was a cool night but things went great and I was able to recover her ring for her in less than 15 minutes in the dark.  Not bad for the first recovery of Spring Break 2018.  😊

RINGS FOUND IN SNOW AT LAKE COUNTRY BC.

Louise`s daughter and friends were out of High School enjoying the recent snow fall when she realized she had lost her mothers gold ring and her silver finger splint. Louise had 6 school friends out three times searching for the rings, they even used a metal detector to no avail. I was out of country, but as soon as got home my wife gave me the message and I arranged to meet Louise at the location. It had been almost 2 weeks since the loss, she gave me the story and showed me the trail they took from the school to the park, and were they played throwing snowballs, I told her that would be the prime location, take me there. Once we arrived at the location low and behold we looked down and there was the gold ring melted out of the snow, the silver finger splint took a little more searching but we were successful.     I made another friend.

When Frank called me it was about 7:30 pm. He and his wife, Lana were in panic mode because she had lost her white gold and diamond wedding band somewhere at 1000 Steps Beach in Laguna, Beach CA.

It was cold and dark but we still had a couple hours before they lock the upper entrance gates at 10 pm. I met them at 8pm with the objective to get a general idea of where they had been incase I had to resume the search the next day. Frank and Lana live 50 miles away which would be troublesome for them to lose a days work to return the next day.

As we walked down the 200 plus steps to the beach I asked the questions that could help me put together a strategy for the search.
Lana only remembered seeing her ring when they parked their car about 4pm. After that they had walked down to the beach and walked about a quarter mile to a cave at one end of the beach.

She didn’t remember doing any activity except running a bit on the wet sand. They did say that they had set down for about 15 minutes on the sand to watch the sunset. It was just before starting up the steps that she noticed the one ring missing. Her engagement ring was still on her finger.

It was not sounding like an easy search but if they could find the location where they sat on the beach, we could eliminate that area. Frank was able to direct me to the exact spot where they had been sitting. My head was telling me that tomorrow was going to be a long day searching an almost impossible expanse of sand.

Trying to stay positive I began to search a 12’x12’ area. First target was a small piece of tin foil. Second signal also sounded like tin foil but a quick dig with my sand scoop revealed Lana’s ring. Boom !!

They were both extremely excited, stating over and over that they could not believe that their cherish sentimental wedding ring was not lost forever. This was even more special because they are newlyweds and had only been married one month.
This is what makes me grateful that I have the skills and time to be able to help people like Lana and Frank.

Lost Engagement Ring in Central VT…..Found

I got an email a couple days ago from a woman who lost her Great Grandmother’s gold and sapphire engagement ring on a snowy day. She searched hard and then a helpful neighbor who owned a metal detector came over and helped search, too. They didn’t have any luck. As good fortune would have it, I didn’t get called into work today, so I sent her an email asking if it was good to come down and take a look. I told her a big snowstorm is coming tomorrow night and it might be good to search now. She said yes and I went right over to her house. I got there and put all my detecting equipment on the hood of the car. She was telling me where she may have lost it and pointed up the driveway where she had parked. That’s when the Ring Gods spoke! From 20 feet away my eyes zeroed in on what looked like a ring laying on the ground. I walked over, looked down and there it was! Never even had to turn on the detector! It was all muddy but it perfect condition. So lucky, because it was laying right in the wheel tracks of the dirt driveway.
I handed it to her and out came the happy tears! She said that she had never met her Great Grandmother, but her Grandfather wanted her to have it. She said she had already decided that if we didn’t find it that she was going to have a goldsmith make her a replica of it. But now all she needs to do is have it resized!

Gold Ring for Proposal Lost at Hermosa Beach, CA…Found and Joyfully Returned.

I had just gotten home from the ring return for the twin sisters last night, and was waiting for my wife to come home with dinner, when I received a call from Jessie regarding a ring loss at the beach. He had a relative from back East visiting, and there was a marriage proposal out on the sand at the beach. Well Mark was proposing to Taylor with Taylor’s mother’s ring set, when sometime during the celebratory act, part of the set was dropped in the sand. They searched for it, but were unable to locate it. Jessie found me on the internet, and called. I let him know that as soon as my wife got back, I would woof my food down, and go immediately to the beach to do a search.

When I got there Jessie, Mark and Taylor met me and took me to the area they believed the loss to have occurred. Jessie had drawn a square line outlining the area they believed the ring to be. I began my search, and on the second pass I got the one only signal. I scooped, and there was the glint of gold in the scoop from the high intensity light coming from the headlight I had on. I reached in and pulled out the ring and gave it to Taylor. Needless to say, there was much rejoicing out on the beach. Taylor was able to reunite the ring with its partner, and their marriage proposal ended on a very happy note, smiles all around!

White Gold and Diamond Ring Lost at Venice Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

Last Friday morning I woke and checked my email, and found that Yessi had emailed me at 1:40 AM in desperation regarding a ring her sister had lost at the beach the night before. After I emailed her back, Celene her sister called, and I told her I would perform the search the same day even though we were having our second heaviest rainstorm of the year (good to have waterproof machines). It was about 10:00 PM the previous night when Celene removed her ring to fix her hair. She did this because the ring was very thin, her hair would catch on it, and become a nuisance. They were on one of the lifeguard towers when during the fixing of her hair she dropped the ring. She heard it hit the floor of the tower, but when they looked for it, it had disappeared. They then thought it might have slipped between the boards of the floor into the sand below. They looked there under and around the tower for the ring, but it was gone. Yessi would not let this go because she knew this was special to her sister. The ring had been given to her by her parents 14 years prior when she was a young teenager, and she wore it every day since.

When I got to the site the rain was coming down pretty good, so I donned my rain gear, got my machine, and went to the tower to search. I knew this would be a good time because I figured there would be no one out detecting to maybe have found it, and I knew also that the County beach sifters would not have been used on the beach with the wet sand. I searched in the area where I thought she might have been standing (I had to guess because Celene was not able to be there to show me), and widened my search out to where I thought the ring could have possibly bounced to, with no luck. I then began to search behind the tower and found a bottle cap. I removed the bottle cap, scanned again, got a nice foil sound in the headphones, and scooped up a very thin diamond ring. I called back to let Celene know that I found it, and we arranged to meet at a park on Sunday afternoon because of her work schedule. When she got to the park her sister was with her, which was great. It was even more unique to find that they were twins, a special bond for sure. What a great weekend that became. More smiles made!

Lost White Gold and Diamond Ring In House Found In Couch With Dowsing Rod in Livonia Michigan

What’s In YOUR Couch?

This pictured couple lost one of the 3 white gold rings from the wife’s wedding set yesterday. I was able to meet them today and since the metal detector doesn’t work well in house searches, I turned to my dowsing techniques to help. I use dowsing almost on every search in some form or fashion just to get a feel for the situation and if I need to incorporate it to make the find. Dowsing can be used to search for pretty much whatever you are looking for, missing persons, pets, treasure, ect. So she set the rings on the arm of the couch and he sat down and 2 went flying, they found the 2 but the 3rd went into the floor air duct, so they thought. I asked about any children and pets that may have moved off with the ring and they said no the baby daughter was in bed when it happened. I felt around the upper part of the arm and discovered 2 small holes in the material that led down into the hollow part of the arm, that convinced me that the ring could have worked it’s way downward. I made a sweep with the dowsing rod from 2 directions focusing on the ring and it locked on the couch arm, so we rotated the couch front and back and heard something rolling around on the inside wood portions of the arm.
We had to remove the staples and material from the arm to get a better look and when we opened it up we first got a small toy magnet, discouraged, I insisted that the ring was there. We cut open more space to get our hands in further and shining the flashlight into the opening I saw the diamonds shining back at me! The ring was wedged into the corner bottom of the arm! We all laughed and said now they can tell people they found gold and diamonds in their couch cushions! lol

Lost gold dog tag found Pompton Plains, NJ

  • O While playing basketball in his own driveway, Cole’s gold dog tag went flying when the chain holding it on his neck separated. He and his friend and family spent hours searching for the piece. This gold dog tag had great sentimental value as Cole’s best friend has a matching dog tag and he was heart broken to lose it.

after locating me on the Ringfinders site we arranged for a search. I used my metal detector for an hour and a half with no luck. I reasoned it had to be somewhere else. I grabbed a ladder to search the basketball backstop, and there between the glass and the frame the dog tag had wedged itself!

It was a happy reunion with his prized possession and Cole was very thankful I had found it. Further proof that it’s not just rings we can locate.
