While out on another ring search on a beach 30 minutes away, I received a phone call from a young lady requesting my help in locating her lost Platinum Diamond ring on the beach in Dewey Beach,  Del. I responded to the location at which time I made contact with the young lady and learned that she had dropped both her wedding ring and engagement ring in the dry sand. The young lady was able to recover the wedding band but had no luck in finding the engagement ring. As I arrived at the location of the lost ring I observed man with a metal detector at the scene, I learned that he had searched for the lost ring prior to my arrival and that he was unable to locate it with his metal detector. The young lady pointed out the marked area where the ring had been lost and I began my grid search. I made one pass and turned around to make a second pass at which time I heard the sweet sound of success in my head set. The young lady was very happy with being reunited with her lost ring. Another successful recovery and very happy client.

Lost Women’s Gold Class Ring in Marysville, OH “FOUND”

I received an email about a lost women’s gold class ring. It was lost in the summer of 1983, 29 years ago. She only had her class ring for a couple of months before she lost it in her yard. The ring had a lot of sentimental value, because it had her high school boyfriends stone on the class ring. Which was also her first love.

Her and her high school boyfriend have been brought back together after 28 years apart and often talk of the ring she lost. She wonder if it was possible to find the ring. I notified her and told her that it is very possible to find it.

After looking for about a hour using the grid search and flags. The class ring was found. Telling her that I have found something of hers, she got excited. But started crying in happiness after telling her the stone on the ring was red. She did not tell me the stone color in our conservations. Everyone in her family that was there was very happy to see the ring again. It  made me very happy to see her happy as I received a hug from her.

I am glad that I was able to bring a smile to her  in returning the class ring after 29 years apart.

I received an email from a gentleman requesting help in locating an engagement ring and wedding ring belonging to his wife that had been lost in the front yard of their residence. The gentleman stated that his wife had lost the rings in their front yard while she was mowing the grass with a push mower and after putting on sun screen. I arrived at the private residence, interviewed the gentleman and then began my search of the front yard. After about fifteen minutes of searching I was able to locate the wedding band with no problem. After searching the rest of the front yard for about two hours the engagement ring refused to be found.

Lost Wedding Ring in the Ocean at Jericho Beach, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call last week from a young man who I learned is from Peru and he told me that he had lost his wedding ring in the ocean at Jericho Beach in Vancouver. He felt pretty sick about the whole thing but he did something not many people do and that is make a note of the location where he lost the ring …This is a great thing to do as it gives me a chance to narrow down the search area and concentrate in a smaller area. As you can only imagine how hard it is to find something so small in such a big ocean makes it a bit of a challenge.   Floyd met me at the beach the second day and showed me the approximent area and that helped tremendously as I was in the wrong area the first time out. This morning I was determine to get out there at low tide and find that ring for the young man. After 3 hours and hardly a signal I got what I was looking for…a great signal… As I scooped up my target I saw that beautiful yellow colour that I was visualizing the whole time I was out there.I have the greatest job and my office is always amazing. It was nice meeting you Floyd and I was thrilled to be able to help you find what you thought was lost forever. I love my job!Lost Something?Call me ASAP! Watch the video of the search on the link below…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V_u_P2wjcc

Ring found in the surf at Grand Haven, MI

  • from Manistee (Michigan, United States)

While metal detecting in four feet of water with about one foot waves at Grand Haven State Park, Michigan, I found a class ring from Davenport University class of 2005. We were on a hunt with our metal detecting club (Wolverine Research and Recovery Club) and I showed the ring to the members and said tomorrow I will be on Craigslist and Facebook to find the owner. When I got home that evening I went to Facebook and found several Mike Harders but only one from the area in Middleville, MI. I friend-ed Mike and asked him if he graduated from DU. He messaged me back and after answering several questions I found he was the  owner of the class ring.

Mike was skipping a ball with his nephew  in Lake Michigan when he noticed the ball and another splash, the other splash was his ring. He has lost weight due to Parkinsons that he has and as an Air Force veteran is 100% disabled. Mike graduated from DU in 2005 with a degree in Computer Engineering and shortly before his moms death she gave him the money for his ring. It has a lot of sentimental value to him and when he told his sister that someone  had recovered his ring that sat down and cried.

As a retired Air Force veteran myself  it was very special to meet Mike face to face and hand over the ring to him.

Ring Lost in Crystal Lake, Crystal, MI

Forty minutes after Brian Ingle lost his wedding ring, he was on line looking for smeone to find it, finding “theringfinders” he looked in the directory at Michigan and found my name. Brian immediately got on the telephone asking me to come out and find his wedding ring. I told him I could be out the next morning.

Brian and Kelsey reunited with his wedding band.Brian, Kelsey (who is 7 months pregnant with their first child) and his mother and father in-law were staying at Brians parents cottage on Crystal Lake and decided to play water volleyball. They have a net set up in 3 to 4 feet of water with a sandy bottom, it was ideal for detector hunting. Kelsey told him to be careful not to loose his ring while playing volleyball but as luck would have it, his ring came off. He showed us where it must be and that he didn’t hit the ball hard because it was just  family funtime in the water.

My brother Doug and I set up a grid search of the volleyball court, him taking one side and I the other. After finishing one way with no results we started the other grid search going perpendicular in the court. Two hours had passed with no results however we did clean out several screws, bolts, bottlecaps and coins. We decided to go several feet outside the court to no avail, than lunch. From 9:30am to 3:00pm we searched. I decided to go way outside the box and there it was on the opposite side of the court where Brian thought it was on.

Brian and Kelsey were smiling and a very happy couple bing reunited with his ring. The couple is from Fairborn, Ohio and Kelsey’s parents were visiting from Cincinatti, Ohio. We showed them some Pure Michigan hospitality.

Lost Gold Ring at Simco Park in New Westminister, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Over two weeks ago I was in touch via email in regards to doing a search at a park not to far from me,  for a lost gold band. Because of both of our schedules we didn’t meet up until this evening.

When I met with David he told me the story of where he thought the ring might be, but he wasn’t sure if it was there or not, as he felt someone could have found it or maybe it was lost some where else.

We discussed the search and I started to do my grid with the hope of finding his ring. This Ring was given to David by his father and he was going to wear it when he gets married this December.

I was into my grid search for 30 when I got a good hit on my V3I, I bent down with my pinpointer and after I moved the grass I could see the outline of his gold ring…

I was so happy that it was found and I called David and his girlfriend over and I have to say I have the best job in the world! I get to make people smile and I love it.

I Love My Job!

Ring rescued from depts at Kirk Park, Michigan

Josh O. happy to be reunited with drowned ring.

While metal detecting in about four feet of water at Kirk Park near Grand Haven, Michigan I was using my Fisher CZ21. After about an hour of trying my best to grid off the open water I came across a  good signal and after a few digs I rescued a “large” Titanium wedding band. Wanting to reunite the lost ring to the rightful owner I got on Craigslist and went into Lost and Found. About a day later I got an email from J.O. (fatkid). He had lost his ring on July 5 while playing football in the water with a bunch of friends. A day earlier he had gone to the jeweler to try to get the ring sized due to some weight-loss but wasn’t able to at that time.

After he lost the ring Josh went on the internet and saw www.theringfinders.com but didn’t act upon it until he had seen the Craigslist posting and emailed me. After a few emails it was determined that Josh was the rightful owner and this ring, rescued from under the sand and four feet of water, finally was coming home to its owner.

Happy days are now in store for Josh and I think he should think about changing his email handle from “fatkid” to something else he has trimmed down.

Lost Palladium Wedding Band at a Baseball Field in Vancouver, BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I was driving home from two earlier searches when I received a call in regards to a young man’s lost wedding band that was made out of palladium.

The young man told me that he lost it the night before and searched with some friends but didn’t find it. When I showed up at the park there were kids everywhere…Summer soccer camps and other events but that didn’t stop us for asking if we could search the area,  the coaches were kind enough to let us search…

After 30 minutes of searching in a high potential area that John felt the ring could be in, I moved to the fence where it made sense to John and I that the ring could be in that area due to taking off his glove after the innings…

There it was in the long grass not far from a dirt patch and I was delighted to see it looking back up at me! You see John was just about to leave to go back to work, so the timing was perfect to surprise him! That I did…

I love my Job!

Thanks for the kind reward John!

15% of all money I make from my rewards goes to Children’s Hospital

Lost Gold Diamond Man’s Wedding Ring in Pataskala, OH “FOUND”.

I received a call from a guy that lost his first wedding ring in his backyard last summer. His family tradition is giving his wedding ring to his son, that is getting married later this year. If I was not able to find the wedding ring then he would have to give his son his current wedding ring.

Well about half way though the back yard, I found the ring. The diamond and gold wedding ring shine in the sun as his wife came outside with joy to see the lost ring. Him and his wife were very happy to see the ring again. And their son will be also.
