Lost Ring found in lake near Haliburton

  • from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)

Diego & happy wifeOn my first official search for a wedding ring, I was able to find Diego’s wedding ring. He flipped a canoe near a friend’s cottage & lost 2 fishing poles & his wedding ring.  The location was in ~18; in a bay of a lake. It took me about 1 hour to locate the “drop” area as the initial search location was not accurate for me. Note that the more accurate the “lost” location is, the better luck I will have in locating “your” treasure. I found the ring within 15 minutes of locating the fishing poles.

Diego has been married since Feb 2013 so finding the ring was very important to him & his wife. 2 Happy Customers!!

Platinum wedding band found on beach at Leland, MI

Centerville-20130802-00760While staying for the weekend in Gaylord, MI for my grandsons baseball tournament I got a call from Mark D. who was staying in Leland, MI on vacation from Washington DC. He was at the beach on Monday and while wiping sun screen off his hands his wedding band catapulted off his finger into the sand. After looking for hours he went back to where he was staying and started searching on line for someone to find his ring. On Friday he came across THERINGFINDERS and gave me a call. It was about 4pm Friday evening when I got the call and told him it was a coincidence that I was in Northern Michigan and could get there in about an hour and a half, so off I went.

When I reached his address on Manitou Trail I followed him to the beach. I got my Bounty Hunter Time Ranger out and walked the short path to the beach. At 6pm there where still a lot  of people on the beach and right where we wanted to hunt they were making a fire to roast marshmallows. I joking told them they would have to move as there was a ring buried under their fire. Mark pointed out where he was approximately standing and I started a grid search. I covered about a 50 x 20 foot area and couldn’t find it. I went in the opposite direction to the other side of the fire and came up with a nickel and believe it or not a 1962 silver quarter in the same scoop. I went another 10 feet and there it was. I lifted it up and showed Mark and everyone on the beach started clapping.

Mark told me after finding the ring that it was custom made for him and was a very heavy platinum band, then he said “this is the tenth time I have lost this ring” I suggested that he have his telephone number engraved inside of it.

Centerville-20130802-00761The hunt took less than 30 minutes so after Mark took care of my gas expense we took some pictures and he told me he would send me a copy of the video he took while I was looking for the ring.

Another happy ending as I said to myself, “I love my job”.

Lost White Gold Wedding Ring In The Sea, Swanage

  • from Bournemouth (England, United Kingdom)
Contact:

Received a call from a rather sad lady whos wedding ring slipped off her finger and into the sea when cleaning her hands. I couldnt make it that day as I was in London dealing with the previous recovery.  I knew the tides were slack and the sand was stable enough to hold the rings location.  The ring was safe there for now and protected by the sea from treasure hunters.  We met this morning and the ring turned up just where she said.  A rather teary eyed Mrs Hollie  Lawrence from London was relieved to say the least and immediately made a kind donation to the air ambulance.photo

photo (2)Mr & Mrs R Spivey of London returned home very sad after losing a personalized engraved wedding ring in the sea off Bournemouth. The warm July weekend and large waves attracted many bathers and sadly many lost items of jewelry resulted. My first attempt was impossible. High waters, ripping current, large swell and waves made my attempts over the next three days very difficult and the likelihood of recovery almost nil. By some miracle, after a total of nearly 5 hours searching …. that ring found me! The couple were both over joyed and made a very kind donation to the air ambulance.rich

Lost White Gold Ring Studland Beach, DorsetHoliday maker Mrs L Smith from Oxford lost her beautiful matching wedding band in the soft white sands of Studland. A quick visit to the beach office to report her loss lead her to calling me at the Ring Finders. I arrived in no time, switched on my machine and found the ring in under 30 seconds! If only finding every ring this quickly was possible?!  Mind you….. would it be as much fun??

Lost Wedding Band at Jericho Beach, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a phone call from a friend that I work with that told me that his friend lost his wedding ring at Jericho Beach when he was swimming. He goes on to tell me that he’s at the beach the next morning searching for it because his friend couldn’t be there as he had to work… Then it hit him…I know  a guy who finds lost rings! (Me) He tells me that his friend had lost his ring while they took a swim and that he was married for over 25 years so it was extremely sentimental.

I happen to have the day off so I rushed out there to help him find his friends lost ring. When I get there the tide is slowly coming in and he shows me an area where he believes the ring was lost.

After 10 minutes of searching I found a silver native carved ring so I popped it out of the sand and left it were it was found so I could come back and film it. Later Marty goes to move the bag closer to shore and see’s the ring. He thinks its the native ring that I told him I found the day before at that beach…I told him that I found that one but I thought that he told me that it was a white gold ring that I was looking for…

He also made a donation to my charity(Children’s Hospital) because I wouldn’t except anything for my time…Thanks Marty!!!Lost something? Call me ASAP!I love my job!

Found Ring Selah Washington, Yakima County

  • from Yakima (Washington, United States)

I was out hunting an estate for lost treasure and was just wrapping up the hunt when I received a call for a lost ring. The women had tossed the ring out of her car window onto her front lawn to make a point. Then to her dismay she could not find it again.

When I arrived the search area was a 30×30 foot front lawn. After a few simulated tosses of my test ring out of her car I began the search. There were many targets but after about 15 minutes I found a very steady signal in the same range as hers. I was fortunate to have a matching ring from her husband to get a good signal and screen number.

Sure enough the ring was there under a few blades of grass.

I like hunting for the rings and like the smile from the owner when I find them even more.

Thanks for the call out.

Lost Key Found, Yakima, Yakima County

  • from Yakima (Washington, United States)

The key to finding a lost item is knowing where you lost it. Sounds simple enough, and this one was. I received a call about a lost car key. The young lady had been sitting under a shade tree and when she got up to leave her key was gone, fallen out of her pocket. It was her “spare” key to boot and so it needed to be found.

The search area was very specific and had been searched on hands and knees well, with no luck. After searching for lost rings and keys for awhile I have come to realize grass and dirt are very good about swallowing them up. So with the search area in front of me, I simply went straight at where she had been siting. On the first pass I had a strong signal and found the key.

I had a previous search that I had said was my shortest, but this one will now move into first place.

Smiles all around.

Thanks for the call to hunt for the key. Always a good time.

Man’s engraved platinum wedding band lost in the lake in Seattle, WA – Now found!

  • from Saint Paul (Minnesota, United States)

A gentleman contacted me about losing his platinum wedding band 3 days prior while swimming in Lake Washington. He described the ring and where he lost it so I started to grid the area out going back in forth covering every square inch. After about 45 minutes, I gave him my cell number and asked him to send me a text so I’d be able to contact him in case he wanted to leave.

About a half hour later, I got a solid low-conductive tone in 3 feet of water. I looked down and saw the edge of the ring half-buried on the bottom. The gentleman had moved with his family to another area of the park, so I continued to hunt. When I saw him a ways off, I waved my arms and he took off running toward me.

You should have seen his face when he saw his ring! He immediately stuck it right back on his finger when I handed it to him. He and his wife were thrilled.

Lost gold rings minnesota recovery

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Michelle and Ron were out swimming at a friends cabin on lake Ann. Michelle noticed that her Engagement and Wedding band had slipped off her finger. Ron tried to locate the ring in the water, the water has no visibilty and the rings came off  approx. 4 -5 feet deep. He couldn’t find them, as it is nearly impossible because the weight of gold sends the rings into the muck or sand and they are completely covered immediately. Michelle searched for help on line and came across the ring finders web site. When Ron contacted me and told me the depth, I knew I had better bring the scuba gear. I searched the area Ron showed me in the lake for approx. an hour. I started to search just a bit deeper and heard that loud tone for gold. Out came the first ring, I circled the area and didn’t come up with the 2nd ring until I circled about 10 feet out from the first ring. The rings have a special family meaning to both Michelle and Ron and I was was glad I could help them out on this find – Take Care and Happy Anniversary, I know you said it was coming up soon!!!
