Gold Engagement Ring Found in Frick Park in Pittsburgh, PA By Metal Detector Specialist Brian Carpenter

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery/metal detecting specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. Why rent a metal detector when you can get a trained operator with top of the line equipment at the same time…

Maddie reached out to me after she lost her engagement ring when they were taking pictures in Frick Park. The ring was lost in some thick vegetation. A friend of hers had tried to locate the ring with a metal detector but was unsuccessful.

I arrived early the next morning and met her and her fiancé. She showed me where they had been and I got started. It was not too long and I found a quarter that they threw into the grass to try to find with the other metal detector. I jokingly gave it back to Maddie to return to her friend. I felt a little better that if the other detectorist missed a quarter they threw in there it was probably a good guess he would miss the ring. A few more minutes and I found her ring, almost exactly where she said it should be.

Maddie was extremely excited and relieved to have her ring back. As always, it was a pleasure to meet another kind and generous client and be able to return their lost ring!

Lost – Silver Grateful Dead Ring, Daytona Beach, FL – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I had just wrapped up a hunt in Ormond Beach and decided to make one more stop on the way home. Heading north along the shoreline, I noticed a young man standing still in the shallows. He kept his eyes fixed on the water as small waves rolled past, like he was searching for something more than shells.

When Noah spotted my detector, he walked over and explained that his friend Jay had just lost a ring. You could hear the concern in his voice. I asked a few questions—how long ago, exactly where they were standing—and we narrowed it down to a stretch of beach that was bigger than anyone would’ve liked.

I told him I’d give it a shot.

Starting in the soft, dry sand, I worked my way toward the surf, sweeping slowly and methodically. The sound of the tide, the pull of the current, two-foot waves breaking around me…nothing at first. Just the usual scattered signals.

Then—on the next pass—a solid, clean hit. The kind of tone that makes you stop and pay attention. The numbers lined up with what I’d expect from silver.

I dug.

A ring.

I walked it back to the group and asked them to describe what they’d lost. When they did, there was no doubt.

Bingo.

Smiles, relief, a little disbelief—those moments never get old. Right there on the edge of the Atlantic, with the breeze and the salt air, it turned into one of those days you remember.

God is good.

Lost – Platinum Diamond Wedding Band, New Smyrna Beach, FL – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I had just driven to Daytona for a metal detecting outing when my phone rang. It was Maddie, and there was a clear edge of urgency in her voice—she’d lost her ring while sunbathing in the warm, sugar-soft sand of beautiful New Smyrna Beach.

I told her I could be there soon and not to worry.

When I arrived at the park, Maddie met me at the pavilion and led me to the spot where she and her mom had been sitting, surrounded by the gentle ocean breeze and the sound of waves rolling onto the shore, when the platinum diamond wedding band disappeared.

I powered up the Minelab Manticore and asked a few questions—where exactly she’d been, whether she’d gone into the water. As she talked, I began sweeping parallel to her towel, the coil gliding just above the sun-warmed sand, working my way down toward the driving lane. Nothing. I turned and made another pass up the lane.

Then—there it was. A solid signal. Low tone. VDI of 6. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I dug a small scoop, and within seconds, the diamonds caught the light, sparkling brilliantly as they emerged from the soft sand.

Maddie was overjoyed. Nearby sunbathers gathered around, sharing in the moment, smiles all around under the bright coastal sky. Another lost ring returned, another family relieved.

God is good.

Lost Gold Ring Found in Ann Arbor Michigan

The First Bloom of Spring…..Made Their Hearts Sing!

For just about a year Brendan and his wife had no idea where her ring went missing. Their love of milkweed and the pretty flower it produces inspired them to design a custom ring for Diana. While planting some to attract butterflies is when Brendan thinks the ring vanished. Diana was also busy with other tasks on the property, so they really weren’t sure. I started my grid search on the path Diana took from the house to the garden area. Since the property was once a farmhouse from the late 1800’s I started to see many deep iron targets on my MXT metal detector meter which I quickly passed over. Getting a bouncy signal in where the ring signal would be I dug a piece of foil. Rechecking the ground a new signal sounded good. Pinpointing the item, I dug down about an inch and saw what looked like a flower that was happy to see sunlight again! It was Diana’s ring! Texting them to come out, when they got to me, looking in the hole, Diana plucked the ring from the ground. As huge smiles appeared on their faces, I said what an unusual way to sow the seeds of love!

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring Recovered at Camp near Marble Falls

Marble Falls, Texas — A cherished diamond wedding ring that went missing during a weekend at Camp has been successfully recovered, thanks to the professional metal detecting expertise of Chris Dean, a member of TheRingFinders.com.

Terri, who had been attending activities at the camp, realized her ring was missing. By carefully retracing her steps after reviewing photos that showed it on her finger earlier in the day, and absent later, she was able to narrow the search to a few specific locations within the camp.

After securing permission from camp officials, arrangements were made for a targeted search. Traveling approximately 350 miles, Terri and her husband met with Chris who also traveled to the Marble Falls from Kerrville. Chris determined the most likely location of the loss to be the camp’s volleyball court—an area that had already been searched unsuccessfully by the camp using basic equipment.

Within minutes of beginning the search, a signal from Chris’ Garrett AT Pro metal detector indicated a promising target. On the very first pass through the sand and after digging a single hole, the missing diamond wedding ring was recovered.

“When an item holds as much meaning as a wedding ring, every effort matters,” said the recovery specialist. “While luck played a role in the quick find, the successful recovery ultimately came down to experience, proper technique, and professional-grade equipment.”

This incident highlights the importance of using skilled professionals for valuable item recovery. Attempting to locate lost items with basic or rental equipment can often lead to missed opportunities.

For those facing similar situations, contacting an experienced metal detecting professional with TheRingFinders.com can make all the difference in recovering treasured possessions.

Lost – Men’s Gold Wedding Ring – Kissimmee, FL – FOUND!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

Andrew called me Monday night with the kind of news that sinks your stomach—he’d lost his gold ring, a gift from his wife 20 years ago. He’d been doing landscaping at a drugstore near Orlando while spreading mulch and cutting down a tree; and somewhere along the way, the ring vanished.

I told him I’d be there,  first thing in the morning.  I stopped and prayed to God that He would lead me to the ring the next day.

When I arrived, I headed straight for the freshly spread mulch out front. My Minelab Manticore lit up constantly—coins, pull tabs, even a silver bracelet—but not the one thing we were hoping for. No ring!

I reached out to John, Andrew’s employee, who was supposed to meet me there, but he was delayed by rain. When I asked if there were any other areas they’d worked, he mentioned a spot behind the store where they had removed a tree.  That was all I needed.

I moved to the back and started searching, working the area carefully for the next 20–30 minutes.  Still nothing but junk.   John eventually showed up, and I told him I was methodically gridding the area—but so far, no luck. After he left, I was determined not to miss anything, but running out of areas to search.  I prayed again, “Lord lead me to the ring.”

I changed my approach.  Instead of scanning the ground, I walked over to the actual stump of the tree they had removed. The moment I swept my detector over it, I got a strong, unmistakable signal.

Right in the hollow of the stump—tucked among bark and fresh sawdust—I spotted it.  A beautiful heavy gold ring!

Lost gold wedding ring recovered, South Bend, Indiana

  • from Granger (Indiana, United States)

Chris contacted me about a lost ring he hoped could be recovered. His wife, who passed away last year, had lost the ring while they were raking leaves in the front yard (4 years ago). She was not certain when it fell off, nor where.
Chris got curious about trying to find the ring, started searching for ways to maybe rent a metal detector to try finding it. He discovered The Ringfinders in his research and opted to hire me for this recovery attempt.
The front yard was along a busy road, which almost always equals lots of metallic debris. I had to sort through many targets of foil, shredded can pieces, bottle caps and just various metal objects. After a half hour or so, a nice sounding target presented itself, within the area he guessed had the higher potential. Within the small clump of grass roots and dirt I pried up, I could see the edge of a ring.

Brian and Bill Leasure celebrating ring recovery

NORTHERN NEW JERSEY — Brian watched his gold ring fling off his finger into some tall brush while doing yard work at his home , but this wasn’t just any ring, it belonged to his late father.

After realizing it wouldn’t be a quick recovery, he reached out for help, hoping it hadn’t disappeared for good.

When I arrived, the search area was thick and uneven, the kind of ground that can swallow a ring in seconds and hold it for good. Using a tight grid search, I worked slowly through the grass with a small coil until I got a solid signal.

About 15 minutes in, I spotted it, twisted up in the grass and nearly impossible to see with the naked eye.

The relief on Brian’s face said it all.

Another meaningful recovery in Northern NJ, and another family story preserved.

The moment the ground gave up the ring

Lost Gold Wedding Band Recovered in Homeland Baltimore, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

I received a text message 2 days ago from Nick who lost his wedding band while gardening a few days prior. Not only was Nick confident that he lost it in his yard, he informed me that there were certain areas of the yard that he was concentrated in. We made plans to meet the very next day.

When I arrived, Nick greeted me and immediately showed me around his yard and where he felt were the highest probability areas. He then excused himself and went back inside his residence and I got to work, starting with the first high probability area. The good news is not only was I able to locate the ring, I set a new personal record of less than 2 minutes doing so! Keep in mind that this record was set not only due to my detecting skill, but to Nick’s guidance and recollection of where he was when he first realized the ring was no longer on his finger. The ring was only about 1/2″ below the surface of the recently disrupted soil, but that was deep enough to hide it completely from sight. As a side note, this is a perfect example as to why I do NOT charge an hourly rate for my service! With that said, I’ve recovered rings in the past that have taken may hours to locate, with the extreme being 3 location returns over a week period with a total of about 10 hours of searching! As you can see, working on a reward type basis makes sense for both parties involved. I digress! The good news is the ring that Nick’s grandfather gave him is now safely back where it belongs!!
