Update Lost Men’s 2013 Texas A&M Class Ring-Found

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

RingA previous open case in Houston involving a lost men’s 2013 Texas A&M Class Ring-Engraved (EW Arnold) has been found.

I recieved the following message from the owner:

Yes sir I actually did! I was looking for your email but I could not remember your email address and with all the emails the school sends me, my email is jam packed. My ring came out of a black hole over spring break when I was in Port Aransas. I found it in the gym bag that I have used every day since I lost the ring, the same bag that I also took to Colorado for the winter break. Not sure how it turned up the way it did but I am quite happy regardless.

Thank you again for your time in helping,

William Arnold

Platinum Wedding Ring Recovered in Pasadena, Texas

I was contacted this weekend by Mr. Lee Nguyen from Pasadena, Texas regarding his lost wedding ring. Lee stated he had lost his wedding ring this weekend while washing his car at his parents house in Pasadena.

Lee said he was pretty sure of where the ring had fallen of his hand, but he was unable to find it after searching the area in question.

The photographs tell the rest of the story; the Nguyen’s are very happy to have their platinum wedding band back..

Lost Wedding Ring City of West University, Texas (Recovered)

I was contacted by a homeowner from the City of West University (Houston) regarding a lost men’s Platinum Wedding Ring. The homeowner indicated the ring was possibly lost in one of two locations, one a little league baseball field, and the other the hedges in their front yard.

Several days ago, I conducted a search of the baseball field with unsuccessful results. A follow-up search today at the homeowner’s residence was successful.

The homeowner will be extremely happy to learn his Platinum Wedding Ring was recovered.

The homeowners in the case wishes to remain anonymous.

                        Update-Case Closed Ring Found
The following was informatin was forwarded to me from Detectorist B.
    Sloan  from College Station.

Good morning John,
Last night I got a phone call from Kelly Walker, she found her ring. Some how, her ring had ended up in her couch, and as near as I could understand, her phone was breaking up, for some reason, they were shaking the couch and her ring fell out. Just wanted to let you know about the happy ending.

Best of luck, and stay safe,
Bill

Lost Class Ring in College Station, Texas

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

I was recently contacted by Ms. Walker from College Station, Texas regarding a lost 2011 Texas A&M class ring.  Ms. Walker was not exactly sure of where she lost her ring, but knew it was missing after an exhaustive search of her home and car.

Ms. Walker felt there could be a slight possibility that it may have fallen of her hand somewhere in her front yard, but was clearly unsure.

I was able to assist Ms. Walker in contacting a fellow Detectorist Bill Sloan in College Station. Mr. Sloan was able to assist Ms. Walker in a metal detection search of both her front and back yards.

The ring remains unrecovered at this time and has been reported to the College Station Police Department.

The ring is described as a ladies 10K Texas A&M class ring with inscription Kelly E.B. Walker. If this ring should cross your path it’s looking to go home.

The following is an e-mail sent by Ms. Walker

Thank you Mr. Volek,

I really appreciate all your help and your connecting me to Mr. Sloan. He was incredibly kind and patient with me throughout our dealings.

He wouldnt even let me pay him for gas. I know he was from the area but I still found it surprising. He made clear that he was simply doing it to help, as you did.

You’ve both made a painful process much easier and I really appreciate it.

My next step is to have a friend of mine take apart the dash on my car. I heard a metal object sliding around when I made a particularly sharp turn yesterday and my heart stopped. I have no idea if it’s my ring or not, but a girl can hope.

Take care, Mr. Volek. I’ll keep you updated if I find it.

Thanks and Gig ’em,
Kelly Walker

Happy to have his wedding found

Great First Day with “The Ring Finders”

I told Lee Vaughn that hearing about him having lost his wedding ring was in of itself a miracle. I had just made an inquiry at work as to the type of metal detectors currently being used by the department.

It was at this time, I found out about Lee’s lost wedding ring. Our CSI personnel had tried to assist him a few days prior in locating his lost wedding ring but where unsuccessful. The search location was extremely muddy at that time making it extraordinary difficult to conduct any type of search.

The story was Lee had apparently lost his Platinum wedding ring while trying to get his vehicle un-stuck in a muddy field near the department.

I drove by the location that evening which was now dry and was able to identify the area in question. There were several deep tire ruts and muddy foot tracks in the area that had been described to me. I returned the next day with my Minelab Excalibur, consequently the same day I joined “The Ring Finders” and found Lee’s ring buried in about one inch of mud. The search took about thirty minutes.

I contacted Lee that evening identifying myself and informed him I had found his lost wedding ring. I think Lee was a little apprehensive initially, until I described the ring and the location where it was recovered. Lee said he had given up all hope of ever getting his ring back. He explained after the previous unsuccessful attempt he had rented a metal detector from Acme Rentals. He said, he had and spent an entire day searching for his lost ring. He was convenienced the ring was lost forever.
