Wedding Ring Recovered at Orange Beach

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Ian lost his ring while swimming at Orange Beach Alabama. His wife’s family is from Canada and were vacationing in Orange Beach and invited Ian and their Daughter to joint them. Ian is British and he and his wife live in England. He wasn’t exactly sure were in the water is was lost but had a general area. I started the search and Ian joined me and we talked as I was searching. He’s a very interesting guy, he lives along the southern coast of England and works as a Port Pilot! The lost ring was his original wedding ring and he really wanted it back because that he one his wife gave him when they made the promise. His father in law waited on the beach while we searched, I learned lots about piloting ships, very interesting! It took about an hour to find his ring. He was most grateful. Back on the beach he immediately called his wife that her gift to him was safe and sound back on his finger. Ian and his father in law were really nice folks, I’m happy I met them and could help.

Wedding Ring Recovered in East Pensacola Bay

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

1 Macain and his extended family where celebrating his Grandmothers 80th birthday. While enjoying the water his wedding ring dropped off his finger. He, his wife and brothers searched as best they could with snorkel gear and feeling the sandy bottom with hands and feet with no success. They texted Pensacola Ring Finders facebook page and I responded back that I would be happy to help. When I arrived everyone was having a grand time, kids running around and family and friends enjoying Grandmother birthday. I got to meet Granny and wished her a wonderful birthday. She was in great health and I enjoyed our conversation. Macain’s ring was lost in shallow water between two docks and didn’t take long to find, about 45 minutes. Macain and his wife are newly weds so the recovery of the ring meant a bunch to them. When I found it I held it up in the air to show them, they immediately stood and rushed to the dock. The news of Macain’s found ring rapidly moved amount the family and friends. Very exciting! On my way to leave, the family Matriarch, Granny, came up and thanked me, that meant a lot to me.

Vito was vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ when he lost a ring that is very sentimental to him. He was referred to my FaceBook page Ring Finders South Jersey by several people after he posted that it was lost. I talked to him about it, and he wasn’t sure if the ring was lost in the ocean or up in the dry sand. That night I searched the dry sand, but the gold ring wasn’t there. I went out at the next low tide and searched from waist-deep water to the shoreline. The search area was quite broad and I had to expand the grid area a few times. Finally, the metal detector gave me a nice deep signal. I dug into the sand and pulled up the ring! It was buried about 9 inches under the sand. I met up with Vito to return the ring and he was thrilled to have his grandfather’s ring back.

.. Kyle’s wife, Calli called me for help to find a gold wedding band. Calli and her husband Kyle believed was lost in the dry sand at San Clemente Beach, CA. They could be at the location to meet me just before sunset. It’s a 24 mile drive on the freeway with very little traffic, so the drive was easy.

They were not sure when the ring came off Kyle’s finger. He only realized it was missing when they returned home. I grid searched a 40’ x’40’ area thoroughly and couldn’t find the ring. I could say I was sure there was no ring in the area I had searched.

After asking a few more questions they told me that Kyle had been surfing that same day, but he was a beginner and had only been in waist deep water. I told them that if the ring was out there, the odds of finding the ring  were not in his favor. I came back the next morning at 6am low tide. After an hour and a half as I was running out of area to search, I got a perfect signal. A couple scoops later I had Kyle’s gold ring in my scoop. He had been walking back and forth in the wet sand hoping to see the ring visually.

I held up the ring and he ran over to verify it was his ring. He immediately called his wife using FaceTime showing her the ring and where we were at the low tide zone. I was careful not to give him false hope because we had to take a chance that this could be where the ring came off his finger. Usually rings lost surfing are lost too far out to be found at low tide. At least at most of our west coast beaches.  I only tried this search because Kyle’s wife convinced me he was a beginner surfer and he wasn’t out with the other surfers.

Kyle was tossing a football in the ocean when his wedding band got knocked off his finger. It flew in the water when the ball hit his hand. He and his family were on the beach in North Wildwood, NJ when Jackie called me with the details. I met up with them and searched the area, but the ring didn’t come up. The tide had gone out a bit since he lost it, so some beachgoers had moved closer to the water. The only spot left to check was an area where two people were sitting. They kindly moved their chairs and, lo and behold, the ring was buried in the sand below! It was an exciting end to the search in North Wildwood, NJ.

Lost ring avalon nj

Kaleigh realized she didn’t have her jewelry just as she was about to walk off the beach for the day. She spent the day with some friends relaxing on the beach in Avalon, NJ. Earlier, she put her jewelry in her chair but forgot they were in there before packing up her belongings. She immediately walked back to where she was sitting and saw the jewelry. It was all there except her Claddagh ring. The lost ring was sentimental because it was something she brought back from a trip to Ireland. We met up the next morning and had a general idea of the location. I started the search with the metal detector and the Claddagh ring was found! It was a great start to the day in Avalon, New Jersey!
