Cocoa Beach Florida Lost gold wedding ring found by Ring Finder Mike McInroe

Andy was visiting friends here in Cocoa Beach, Florida and after a day out fishing in the Atlantic Ocean they pulled their boat into the loading dock area and Andy decided he needed to rinse the fish smell off of his hands. So he laid down on the dock and while rinsing his hands in the warm salt water his gold wedding ring slipped off of his finger and disappeared into the depths below the dock! Of course he was shocked and immediately waded out into the water but soon realized the water was way too deep to even try and attempt a dive. Someone suggested calling a Ring Finder and they contacted Al Zenker, a local member of theringfinders.com but unfortunately he does not do deep water recoveries and he recommended they call me. I met Andy and his friends at the dock and checked the depth to be sure my Blu3 Nemo dive system would allow me to search the bottom effectively and it measured just over 10 and a half feet deep so I was good to go!

I suited up and set a PVC marker pole at the spot where Andy’s ring fell into the water. Visibility was just over a foot and as I descended to the bottom I immediately got a couple of signals. A rusty screw driver, a deep signal and then a sharp clear signal and my hand felt something round and smooth and I slipped it on my index finger. As I ascended to the surface I came out of the water finger first and watched Andy’s face. He was visibly in awe that I had actually found it and was so thankful and grateful to have his lost ring back once again!

Lost gold ring in the sand at Ormond Beach, Florida…Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)

This ring recovery began late Friday evening when I received a desperate text from a young lady who while talking on the phone made a random gesture and her very sentimental ring fell off of her hand and disappeared into the sand at her feet. Her father and sister immediately began running their fingers through the sand but somehow they could not seem to be able to find the lost ring. This was a very special ring which was given to Jasmine when she was 10 years old by her grandmother and Jasmine wears it all the time! Having recently lost a little weight her ring was just a bit loose! Jasmine’s father purchased a couple of small kids dipping nets thinking maybe that would help but no matter what they tried…nothing seemed to help. Someone suggested they call one of The Ring Finders and that is how they got my number. It was almost midnight when Jasmine called so by the time I gathered my equipment and made the drive it was getting on to 1:30am and thankfully they were able to accurately mark the exact area where she dropped her ring. It only took a minute to get the sweet sound of gold from my Deus 2 metal detector and I motioned for Jasmine to come and assist in locating her own lost ring by using my trusty Garrett pin pointer. As we knelt there in the sand and watched the little flashing light and listened to the beeping sound as she moved it closer to her lost ring…it was a moment of sheer joy as Jasmine gently picked up her ring and held it close with mixed emotions! What an honor it was to help this beautiful young lady and her family and to see the relief it brought them!

Lost diamond engagement ring in pond, Melbourne, Florida recovered by Mike McInroe Florida Ring Finder

Anna and her fiancee were relaxing by the pool and for safe keeping she rolled her diamond engagement ring in the corner of their towel on the lounge chair. And after a nice swim they decided to lay out in the sun and her fiancee grabbed the towel off the chair and Anna’s ring went flying through a safety fence and dropped into the pond water on the other side of the fence. Stunned, she just stood there not wanting to believe what had just happened! They asked the condo management if they could use the pool skimmer net and try and scrape the ring up off the bottom of the pond but their efforts were futile. The water was at least 7 foot deep and they soon realized that they needed specialized help and after a quick search on Google they came across theringfinders.com and decided to call Al Zenker, a member of theringfinders and he came out and gave them some advice, which was to call me as I am scuba certified and live fairly close by. So after hearing Austin and Anna’s story it was obvious that a dive was required so we made plans to meet up the next day.

Most all of the small ponds in central Florida are silty and mud covered bottoms that can be very difficult to navigate and search, especially when searching for such a small item like a ring…BUT…Anna was quite sure about where exactly her ring dropped into the water and that made it so much easier. I just wanted to test the pond bottom so I walked out from shore along the cement block wall/foundation and immediately noticed the bottom was sandy and gravel mixed, which would be 100% easier to search than the mud and silt I was anticipating! Plus the blocks were stacked pyramid style with out rebar and that too made it easier to search. As I slowly descended to the bottom I started getting signals…washers, pieces of copper wire, screws and then one large target that was quite deep. And at the end of each pass of my NOKTA Pulse Dive hand held pinpointer I would go all the way to the base of the block pool foundation and that is where I heard a nice repeatable signal that proved to be exactly what I was looking for! Anna’s lost diamond engagement ring was pushed right up against the block and when I surfaced and showed Anna what I had found, she started shaking! Her emotions were running high and the feelings of relief and thankfulness were so strong she had to sit down and calm herself and let reality sink in…she had her precious ring back once again! So I thank God for leading me and using me to help and bless others!

Lost gold ring in water, Withlacoochee River, Hernando County Florida…found by Florida Ring Finder!

Bennie and his friends were enjoying the day along the Withlacoochee River swimming and taking turns swinging on a rope over the water. As Bennie let go of the rope he felt his gold ring come off of his finger and a sick feeling came over him. This was a very special ring given to him by his father 5 years ago and he has treasured it ever since. And now it had fallen into the depths of the silty river bottom! He and his friends tried diving down and feeling with their hands but the 8 foot depth and uneven bottom was more of a challenge than they could endure. Bennie called his mother and told her what happened and she went online and found Mr. Steve Thomas who is one of the Ring Finders in the West Florida area but unfortunately he only does shallow water and land searches so he recommended they call me to see if I could help them. After hearing their story I decided to meet them at the sight the following day. It was a 2 hour drive but we finally arrived and began setting up my PVC grid, my BLU3 Nemo dive system, mask, wet suit and fins. Bennie was very sure of where he and his ring fell into the water so down I went and began searching along my PVC grid that was setting on the bottom. The first 2 signals were deeper in the sand so I left them and the 3rd signal was louder on my hand held Pulse Dive unit and there sitting on top of the sandy bottom was Bennie’s lost gold ring! I really wanted to continue searching for other targets as the rope swing area was a favorite for the locals but I had noticed just before my entering the water that there was a group of people just waiting for me to finish up so they could enjoy jumping off of the tree and swinging on the rope…so I slowly ascended with Bennie’s gold ring tucked safely in my finds pouch. Bennie was intently watching me as I swam up to shore and as I smiled and gestured with a thumbs up…he began grinning from ear to ear! What a thrill it is to be able to conduct a search, find the lost item and then to return it to someone that is hurting and feeling a great heaviness and loss! And then to experience seeing them transform to happiness and joy and see more tears…only these are tears of sheer relief and thankfulness!

I always pray and ask God to help me be a blessing to each person that calls me for my assistance. How can I help you today? Call or text me ASAP and let’s talk! 321-363-6029

Mike and his wife were enjoying their week at a condo in north Florida and somehow he dropped his favorite knife in the sand and it just disappeared without a trace. For the next few days he tried looking for it but the soft sand seemed to have swallowed it up and he pretty much gave up hope of ever seeing it again. My wife and I arrived on Wednesday to spend a few days with friends and of course I had brought my metal detector along and the first evening of our stay I grabbed my metal detector and Xtreme scoop and wandered down onto the beach. I started detecting around the nightly fire pit and that is when Mike and Debbie approached me and Mike told me about his lost pocket knife. I assured him that I would definitely be on the lookout and would let him know if I happened to dig it up. Two hours later and quite a ways down the beach I got a signal that sounded more iron than non-ferros but I chose to investigate none the less and after kicking away a few inches of sand…there was a black pocket knife that had the brand name of Kershaw on the belt clip. That was the exact brand that Mike said he had lost and he could not believe it when I showed him my discovery! Mike’s wife said he carries his knife where ever he goes and has had that knife for many years. It is made right here in America and Mike is carrying it again today!
Again I thank the Lord for helping me find and return Mike’s knife and for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing and being able to meet such a kind and lovely couple!

How can I help you find what you have lost? Even items lost years ago can potentially be found today…if you know the location and the area has not been disturbed too much! Give me a call or call a ring finder near you!

Jonathan was enjoying a warm sunny day at New Smyrna Beach with his family and friends and as they packed up their things and were driving home he noticed that his white gold and platinum wedding ring was not on his finger. He thought back to when he last remembered having his ring and sometime during the day he recalled taking his ring off and either he “thought” he put it in his pocket or may have set it down on a towel…he was not exactly sure! Later he searched through his things and at one point he remembered throwing some items into the trash but for the life of him he could not recall exactly what happened. He found The Ring Finders online and gave me a call. So early the next morning we met at the beach and Jonathan showed me the exact area where he and his family had staked out their two canopy tents and he assured me that he spent most of his time sitting in the shade as he watched all the activity and commotion going on around him. So I began my grid search wide of the area thinking that his ring could have fallen anywhere in the general area. I dug up two small pieces of foil and then 5 minutes later I got a nice strong signal that I was sure had to be Jonathans lost ring. I called him over to watch as I slowly brushed the sand away and a small glimmer of gold revealed itself. Jonathan was thrilled to see his lost ring sitting there in the sand just waiting for him to pick it up and slip it back on his finger.

How I thank God for allowing me to be a help and blessing to Jonathan and the thrill never gets old when finding something that was lost and being able to reunite it again with it’s rightful owner!

Here is a short review by Abhi and what all transpired with his wife’s lost diamond earring! Abhi writes, “I am beyond thrilled that we met Mike! What a pleasure and blessing it was to work with him. My wife lost one of her treasured diamond earrings a few weeks ago going back and forth between our kids rooms at night as they were not feeling well. There was a lot of tossing and turning! She took her earrings out, placed them on the night stand and a few days later only found one of them there! After extensively and exhaustively searching our home, we decided we needed some professional help. Mike came to our house and was incredibly patient and thorough, asking amazingly detailed and thoughtful questions. He was looking EVERYWHERE! Even diligently taking tissues out of the trash bin, one by one, to make sure no stone was unturned! We ended up finding the lost diamond earring underneath a rocking chair cushion tucked all the way in the back corner which was only seen due to the large industrial flashlight he was carrying. He was amazingly sincere, patient and ultimately got the job done. Thank you Mike!”

How I thank God for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to help Abhi and his dear wife! Daniel and his friends were playing soccer at one of  Orlando’s local parks and in the heat of the game he fell and twisted his ankle.  And as it was very warm out and the humidity was high his hands were not only sweaty but now they were full of grass and sand!  Having been married for only 1 year he was in the habit of wearing it all the time and also had a habit of feeling it with his thumb and spinning it…and he said it was a bit loose as well.  He had no idea that it would come off so easy and when he stood up to hobble off to his car, he immediately realized that his ring was missing.  He and his friends tried searching through the thick grass and after well over an hour he gave up and headed home to take care of his swollen ankle.  Later that evening Daniel was searching on Google and typed “Metal Detector Rental”  and as he scrolled through the options he came across theringfinders.com and found my number.  We made arrangements to meet the next morning at the park.   It was a beautiful morning and as we walked to the field Daniel explained what happened and  was very precise about where he fell!    Within minutes I found his lost titanium wedding ring with my Deus 2 metal detector.  Daniel was overcome with emotion and as he smiled he said a sincere “Thank you Mike…you saved my marriage!”  What an absolute joy and honor it was to help Daniel and his young wife and to be a help and blessing to them!

Austin and his dear wife had a bit of an argument over a small issue and in the midst of the conversation he had a fleeting thought to throw his ring!  And that passing thought led him to slip his ring off of his finger and gently toss it into the grass…thinking that he would easily be able to find it later and everything would be AOK!  But as is the case here in Florida with the St. Augustine grass…any small item dropped into this kind of grass basically disappears quickly and proves to be very difficult to find.  Austin spent an hour or two searching on his hands and knees and eventually went out and purchased a low end metal detector and searched for three hours more.  The metal detector sounded off everywhere he walked and ended up making the situation even more frustrating.

That evening his wife typed in “How to find a ring in the grass” on Google and eventually theringfinders.com website came up and offered the exact service and help they were needing.  Austin called me early the next morning and we made arrangements to meet 3 hours later.  Austin showed me the small area where he tossed his ring and I set out 4 cones and showed him how to adjust his metal detector and encouraged him to start sweeping his detector exactly like I was doing.  I told him to start on one end of the marked out area and I began on the other end.  I had the advantage of a Garrott pin pointer to investigate any signal that sounded like a shallow white gold ring and after numerous pieces of can slaw I spotted his brand new white gold wedding ring pressed down into the dirt.  Austin was super  relieved and so very thankful to have his lost ring back and glad for the happy ending.  I thank God for allowing me to find and return Austin’s wedding ring and to be a blessing to this young couple!

While driving home from work Nick took his wedding ring off and set it on the center console. At one point he heard it slide off of the console and assumed it went down in between the seats into one of the cracks. Many a ring has plumb disappeared this very same way and Nick figured when he got home he would move the seats backward or forward and find his ring. As Nick soon found out there are many places where a ring can hide in a car in this type of situation. He tried his best to locate his lost ring but every attempt ended up in frustration and his next move was to take it to the BMW dealer and have them remove the seats…and even that did not reveal his lost ring. So a few days later Nick went online to see if he could find a service that offers help in locating lost rings in cars and up popped a story on theringfinders.com website. Nick texted me and I made arrangements to meet up at his garage later that week.

I never realized how little space is in the back seat area and how tight all the seats and carpets are in a BMW sports car…and the only place I could find where a ring might hide was in the small air vents under each seat. I had my endoscope pushed all the way down each vent and I could not see anything that resembled a gold ring. After searching for over an hour I noticed on the front of the passengers seat there was a small spacer area where a person could adjust their seat to allow more support under their knees that all a person needed to do was pull on the front of the seat, between their knees, and it would extend forward a few inches or it could be moved backward as well. I took my endoscope and stuck it into the slight space and pushed it along from the door side and moved it along towards the center console. I caught a glimpse of something pink and gold colored and my heart skipped a beat! The gold looked really bright, but the pink color was strange. So I immediately pulled my scope and slipped it into the other end and there, to my utter surprise, was Nick’s wedding ring sitting smack dab on top of a pink pull tab! What a huge relief as I thanked God for showing me where to look and for giving me the persistence to keep looking and not give up!

Nick was thrilled to have his ring back and I was honored to be able to help him in his time of need!
