Clayton, Missouri Lost Wedding Band

  • from St. Louis (Missouri, United States)

Easter Sunday my wife was hiding eggs in the yard. Our engagement ring was previously stolen, so the tiny wedding band was all we had left. No idea where it flew off while dropping eggs. I figured it was gone for good, but just like Jesus, it came back!

Jeremy was able to save the day

North Tonawanda Garden Spring Ring Recovery

  • from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)

Karen reached out after losing her ring in the backyard while starting some spring cleanup. One minute it was on her finger, the next it was gone. No gloves and no clear idea where it slipped off, just the feeling it might be gone for good.

This was not just any ring. It represents 45 years of marriage. You could hear how much it meant.

We began searching the yard slowly, working through signals and covering the area piece by piece. Plenty of noise along the way, but about 30 minutes in, a clean solid tone came through. The kind that makes you stop.

And there it was.

Ring recovered and back where it belongs.
What an amazing Sunday morning.

Lost ring Glen Ridge NJ…. Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
After the snow settled, this husband and wife decided to enjoy a peaceful walk outside… but what started as a quiet stroll quickly turned into an epic snowball fight. ❄️
Somewhere between the laughter, dodging, and a perfect snowball packing technique… a ring went missing. It wasn’t until they got back home that the husband realized his wedding band had slipped off while making snowballs and was now somewhere buried beneath fresh snow.
Cue the panic.
Enter Kati from Greenwood Detecting.
With a focused search around the “battle zone,” careful grid work, and a bit of patience, the ring was located, right where the snowballs were packed. Hidden beneath the snow, but not gone for good.
Another ring recovered. Another story with a happy ending.
Another marriage saved. 💍

Lost ring West Orange, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
Not every recovery happens in a park or on a beach… sometimes, it takes us straight to the curb. 🗑️💍
We recently got a call about a missing wedding ring that was accidentally tossed out with the trash. By the time we arrived, we were met with a full lineup of garbage and recycling bags stacked, sealed, and ready for pickup. Let’s just say… there were quite a few potential “targets” to work through. 😅
With a methodical approach (and a bit of optimism), we started scanning and working bag by bag. Fortunately, luck was on our side. The ring turned up in about the 5th or 6th bag. 🎯
And here’s where Mother Nature gave us an unexpected assist: New Jersey was in the middle of a polar vortex ❄️ The freezing temperatures kept everything, well… nicely preserved. No odors, no mess, about as ideal as a garbage recovery can get!
Another ring safely back where it belongs 💍
Another relieved client 🙌
Another reminder to always double-check before tossing things out! 😉

5 of 7 LOST GOLD RINGS in HIGH POINT, NC…..FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

This has been a crazy one!

So I get a text from this young lady saying she had lost some rings while playing with her kids in their wooded area of their back yard. She had placed all the rings in her pocket but she didn’t know there was a hole! Little did I know there were a total of 7!

I get there Wednesday night and found 4 of the 7 before I had to go out of town. I tried again last night and the 5th of the 7 was found. There are still 2 more that are soldered together left to be found.

Plan is for me to try again soon. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LOST 14k GOLD w/TOPAZ RING LOST IN GREENSBORO, NC…..FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text from a gentleman stating his wife had lost a gold ring with a large topaz stone while doing some gardening/planting in there backyard a few days ago.

We agree on a date and time. I make the drive, get to the area and 15 mins later found her ring!

Only it wasn’t in the flowerbed, it was in a pot that she planted a plant in! I scanned the plastic pot and got a signal. The first signal was a wine twist top. I put everything back and there was still a signal!

Last signal was her 14k gold ring with large topaz stone!

Yadkinville, NC favorite knife lost – now found

  • from Winston-Salem (North Carolina, United States)

Received message from Tim a resident of Yadkin county whom described while moving hay bales on his farm he lost his pocket knife that has been with him for many years prior to retirement from the Highway Patrol.  It held sentimental value to him. Even though he was unsure of where it actually dropped I told him I would do my best to locate it.

Having contacted me on Sunday I was unfortunately not able to immediately assist but promised I would load my equipment and would drop by on way home from my office on Monday.

Monday arrived and I had another request for assistance a few miles from the farm so plan was to assist both before dark fell.  Upon successful recovery of the first item (diamond necklace) I quickly relocated to Tim’s farm finding him mowing.  He asked if I wanted to delay because darkness was approaching and I replied “lets find it”.   Tim described the events and location he believed he dropped the knife.

We walked and searched approximately 30 minutes and as sun was setting I explained that I often search in late afternoons and I have had luck in parks finding things around sunset.  Something about the dark gives me favor.   Sure enough as we were walking towards our vehicles and swinging my detector in last ditch efforts my detector sounds off.  Although under moonlight I could see the outline of a knife.  I asked Tim,  “remember what I said earlier about finding stuffs in the dark?   There it is!”  He didn’t believe me until I picked it up and placed into his hand. 🙂

Thank you Tim for your years of dedicated service to the citizens of North Carolina.  I cannot wait to return and detect your farm and see what all those mysterious signals are that we stumbled across.

TheRingFinders.com is not exclusive to jewelry.  As long as the missing item is metallic I and the other RingFinders are more than happy to assist you.

Tonight was great for me.  First time of two assignments / searches on the same day.   Two for two successful finds in less than 4 total hours. It cannot get any better than that.  I love my hobby and even more get a kick out of the smiles resulting from the recovery and returning personal treasures to their owners.

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Wayne, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Rich was enjoying the spring weather with his wife and young son at a park in Wayne, PA. After some action on the playground he took a break at a picnic table. While sitting he felt his gold wedding band slip off and drop straight down into the grass under the picnic table. After a frustrating hour of searching he gave up and called me after finding me online in The Ring Finder directory. I was 30 minutes away and told him I would see him at 6:30 pm that same day. When I got there the first thing we did was move the heavy picnic table out of the way…then I set my machine for “gold only”. Less than 5 minutes later…his ring was back on his finger! He couldn’t believe he couldn’t find with his eyes but in his defense the ring did blend in with the yellow grass!!!

Tantalum Wedding Band Lost During Camp Out in Centreville, Alabama… FOUND!

On Thursday (March 19, 2026) I received a text from Dom stating he had lost his tantalum wedding band during a birthday camp out at a friend’s house in Centreville, Alabama that prior Saturday.  Dom, his wife, Rebecca, and friends had spent hours looking for it both visually and with metal detectors.  Centreville is near Tuscaloosa, which is about 2.5 hours from me.  To potentially save a 5-hour drive, I gave Dom some tips to look on Friday.  Dom contacted me back Friday evening and said they still couldn’t find it and asked for my assistance.  I was free Saturday and more than happy to help, so I agreed to drive down from Huntsville and meet them at 11am.

I met up with Dom and Rebecca Saturday morning.  Dom began walking me through all the areas he was at – unpacking the car, walking path, fire pit, and camping areas.  I started where he unpacked/packed the car and worked my way out, stopping anywhere Dom remembered.  We made it out to the round metal fire pit and Dom said he was tending the fire.  I asked if they had moved the pit to search and he said no.  I said let’s move it in case the ring rolled underneath.  We moved it and it wasn’t directly under, but as soon as I stepped back, I caught a glimpse of a circle laying in some ash on the ground.  I glanced up at Dom and said, “I think we got it, brother!”  He said, “no way!”  Dom came over and had trouble spotting it at first, because rings will easily hide in the grass/vegetation and play tricks with our eyes.  But once he saw it, Dom was so happy and relieved.  He called over to Rebecca and the homeowner, Hailey (thanks for letting us search!) to let them know the good news.  Smiles and high fives all around!  We all enjoyed some friendly conversation, and I told them about some of my prior searches.

This was my first time finding a tantalum ring.  For my Ring Finder friends, it was a 63 on the Equinox 900.  As always, thank you, God, for another successful recovery and safe trip!  Until the next one, please take care and God bless!

LOST 24k WEDDING RING IN MORRISVILLE, NC…..FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a call that a young man had lost his 24k wedding ring while playing volleyball. They thought he lost it in the sand. I jumped in the truck and made the almost 2 hour drive.

I get there, get the story and begin my search. I searched the entire volleyball sand pit area 3-4 times and wasn’t coming up with the ring. One of the ladies had a 24k gold and it rang up a 91. I couldn’t believe it rang up that high until I found his ring.

I expanded my search area. After about an hour to hour and a half I went near the grass edge to the higher grass area in the direction of the water and I get a 94 signal! I look down and I can see a gold ring! Apprenatly the ring had bounced off the ball and went to his right about 10-15 feet!!

Another recovery in the books! This one was my 100th ring recovery since joining “The Ring Finders!”
