I got a call from a young man asking if I could help him find his lost wedding band. What I didn’t know was he lost his wedding band 24 hours after he was married. When I arrived at his parents place he told me the story how he came to find out that his ring was gone at the end of the day. The thing was he didn’t know exactly where the ring had fallen off his finger.
He said that he was playing ping pong in the back yard and was doing a few other things in the yard that day. It was a big yard and it took me 2 hours to do a cross grid search, with no luck. I asked if he had checked his car and he said he vacuumed and checked it inside out but no ring. It was looking like it would have to be in his parents house but for some reason I felt like I needed to check the car as in my experience rings have a way of finding hiding spots.
After 2 minutes of search the car and under the passengers seat I caught a glimpse of his ring in a little hiding spot for the seat motor.
I believe if I didn’t check the car it would have been there for a very long time…If I had started the car first it would have been a fast recovery!!

I received an email from Betsy on September 27th saying she had lost her wedding ring in her yard. She told me that her husband had raked the area they thought it was lost in and they had borrowed a metal detector but didn’t find it.
So I was able to make it there today October 1st. After about 15 minutes of searching the area I heard a shallow low signal 12-05 on the CTX3030 and I found her beautiful white gold wedding ring!
I was very happy to help this nice young couple find this important ring. Thank you for the nice reward and good luck to all the ringfinders out there.
Thanks to an anonymous person who contacted a lady on the craigslist in regards to my service, I was able to help her find her lost silver Tiffany necklace that was gifted to her by her mother.
It was a bit of a longshot because the necklace was lost for three days on a very popular beach where everyone metal detects. The other factor was it was lost by a log, and everyone searches the logs. I was a little nervous that someone may have already found the necklace.
We met that evening and I told the young lady the bad news that due to the time that had passed the necklace may have been found already. That being said I was excited to start the search and I was very hopeful that the necklace was still there.
Within 5 minutes at about 4 inches down I received a soft signal and there it was in my scoop! I was as excited as she was to see it…If it’s there I’ll find it.

I was away in Europe when I got the phone call from Fran about her husband Dan’s lost ring. I told Fran I’d be back in a week and I would come out and find the ring for them, I forgot. I got the call yesterday to remind me about the ring in the garden and I apologized and met them the next day and found his lost wedding band of 25 years. Fran told me that the ring was made up from her old gold rings so that was very special indeed.
It was lost in the front garden and I found it with my Minelab CTX3030.
The wonderful thing about this couple is they grow flowers for charity in their backyard. How wonderful and thoughtful of them to do this and what a great way to give back! Dan put together a wonderful bouquet of flowers for my wife who wass very excited when I presented them to her when I got home…Thanks Dan & Fran!
I love my job! I get to make people Smile!

A beachgoer lost her heirloom diamond ring at Misquamicut Beach, RI late July 2017. By the time she realized the ring was forgotten on her beach towel, it was already too late. Digging in the sand with your hands to retrieve a ring is a near-impossible task. However, when your deeply valued possession disappears, you have to try something! After a good hand digging effort and even recruiting a local metal detectorist who was scouring the beach for lost jewelry, the woman thought her grandmother’s lost ring was gone forever…
A week had passed and time was running out. A lost ring remains in the sand until mother nature or another metal detectorist with the right equipment comes along and ruins all chances of returning the ring to its rightful owner. The woman finally came up with the idea to search the web for “ring finding service” and my info came right up. After a quick discussion explaining of details surrounding her lost ring, we agreed on a date to conduct the search. I arrived at the location first to find multiple beachgoers still soaking up the late evening rays. I decided to get started with the search ahead of her arrival based on her description of the lost ring’s approximate location. She did a great job of explaining where she was sitting that day because after only 30 minutes of searching, 20 bottle caps, and pissing off half of the beachgoers, I was holding the diamond ring she thought was gone forever! Another lost ring found and reunited with its owner.
At this point, I was in possession of the lost ring and the unsuspecting owner still hadn’t arrived… What would be an unforgettable way to return a high-value possession? The fake-out of course!!! Check out the YouTube video below to see her shocking response!

I was contacted by the husband of a lady who lost her ring after mowing her yard. She was dumping the grass clippings from here bagger and got caught in the rain. He said she was shaking her hands trying to get the grass and water off and her ring came off too.
He said a friend of his had some cheap metal detectors and they were going to search for it but wondered if I would be available if they didn’t find it. I said yes I was on vacation all week after the 4th of July. So I got the call that they didn’t find it. I went yesterday on the 6th and was able to find it.
Here is what his wife wrote me along with her picture for the book of smiles.
Hi Norm, This is Molly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for finding my ring. You have no idea how much relief it brought me. I am beyond thrilled and very impressed I have to say after searching that area many times on our hands and knees, as well as going over it with 2 metal detectors. I had little faith that you would find anything. You have a gift, and we hope you are blessed ten fold.
Thanks Molly and Joe for trusting me to find your ring and the nice reward.
