LOST ENGAGEMENT RING IN KELOWNA FOUND & RETURNED.

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)
Contact:

Faith was by the Shopping Centre, and was wandering around her car on the boulevard when she noticed her Engagement Ring was missing.  Devastated and not wanting to tell her fiancé, she purchased a Metal Detector to try to locate it, after 2 hours she gave up. The Detector Salesman told her if you don’t find it, call this professional on The Ringfinders. That evening her fiancé knew something was wrong, and he got the information out of her. The next day she called me, and I responded right away to her location, after her story, I checked the area she suspected with no luck. The lost item often is not in the specific location they mark, so I gridded further out on the boulevard and found the Ring, restoring happiness to the engaged couple.

Shree writes…”We’ve been married over a decade and some years ago I lost my wedding ring which made me feel sad for months.  Much later I learned about this metal detecting service but it was too late…so recently when my husband lost his wedding ring I made sure to get a professional search done, only the circumstances were much much harder.  He lost his ring in the midst of the dangerous storm, Milton here in Florida.  We thought we were well prepared for the storm but in the middle of it my husband realized he missed closing down one of the front window shutters.  He was drenched from the rain while pulling the shutter down and came up onto the porch where he shook his drenched hands to get the rain water off and alas with the strong flick of his hands…his ring went flying!   And God knows where!  It was impossible to look for the ring in that weather as every time we stepped out of the house we felt like we could be blown away.  And the following morning we searched again to no avail.

Then I found Mike online and quickly called him.  He assured me the ring had not left my campus and that felt strange to me…given the torrential rain the previous night.  But still we planned to wait and meet the day after, when the weather had settled down.  Mike is so friendly and kind and we really appreciated the unexpected seriousness of effort he was putting into the search while we had mentally given up on the find.  It was more than an hour and a half into the search on the ground and under the shrubs and bushes in our front yard where the ring was lost and we were starting to feel like we had done our bit and it was over.  But Mike’s persistence and hope was on another level!  He just kept digging and searching and…Voila!!!  There it was!  He found it stuck way down in the middle of one of our super thick Bird of Paradise plants!  I don’t think there was anyway we were ever going to be able to find it there on our own!  I wouldn’t have believed in such a service if I did not witness it’s success…BUT it works and Mike is terrific at it!  We are absolutely thrilled to have  our precious ring back!  Thank you Mike!  Abhi and Shree”

Jasneev called me in the morning about her lost cell phone. I asked when she lost it, and she told me it was the night before. I also asked where, and when she told me, the thought of a recovery was diminished. The one thing she told me was that it was still registering from the same location, so we made arrangements to meet there as soon as we could in order to beat the machines, and other detectorists to the spot.

When I got there, and met Jasneev, she took me to the area of the loss. All I could see in the area was smooth sand, telling me that the machine had already passed through the area, so I asked her to get one more signal from her phone. It was showing it was still there. I then got my detector ready, and began the search. Pass after pass, here a bottle cap, there a piece of foil; maybe even a coin or two, but no phone. She then told me she had moved to anther spot not far from where I was searching, so I began another grid. After about 6 passes, a good strong signal came through the headphones. I carefully dug, and exposed her phone. I picked it up, and held it out for her, which made her morning. It did look as though the machine had hit it going through, but it was still working. A great morning indeed.

Got a contact from Douglass. He had lost his wedding ring in the back yard of his house. He had cleaned his hands, and flicked his hand in a downward motion to free it from the water, when his ring slid off. He heard it hit the ground, but did not see it land. After a thorough search he called. I let him know I would come right away.

When I arrived, Douglass took me to where the loss occurred, and showed me what he had done. The area was not real large, but there was a lot of thick ground cover in which to lose something small like a ring. I began my search going over the area that was thought to hold the missing item, but was unable to find it. I then went further out, got a good signal, looked down, and was able to see it down in between the ground cover. I called Douglass over, and showed him where I found it, which surprised him that it had gone so far, and he was very happy to have it back on his finger. I am very happy to have been able to help him out finding something so important to him.

Grandmothers ring found at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Summerland CA

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

If you have lost your grandmother’s ring or your wedding ring call or text Santa Barbara and Ventura County’s metal detection expert Dave MacDonald at 805-290-5009. Don’t wait because time, the tides, lawnmowers and even other detectorists are not on your side.

I got a call from a nice young lady named Glory who after weekend classes at Pacifica Graduate Institute was unwinding with friends and playing some volleyball in the grass when a spike sent her grandmother’s ring flying off her finger somewhere into the grass. She along with her friends had spent hours looking for it but couldn’t find it so they took to the internet and found metal detection expert Dave MacDonald and set up a time for me to come out.

I couldn’t get up there the same day so I promised Glory I would get there at sun up the next day. She was a little nervous because she needed to go back home to Berkeley but I assured her that once I found it I would promptly mail it back to her. The sun was just coming up when I arrived in the hills of Summerland and I met the security guard on campus and coordinated a grid pattern to make sure I would get my Minelab Manticore coil over the ring. After three passes I got a high hit on the manticore and I pulled out my pinpointer to verify a surface target and after pulling the grass apart there sat embedded in the grass a beautiful old 24k gold ring.

I showed the security guard the ring and we concluded it had to be the one and I took a photo of it and sent it to Glory. As we figured it was her grandmother’s ring, now on it’s way back home where it belongs.

If you too have lost a ring, necklace, pendant or bracelet do what Glory did, call or text the metal detection expert in Santa Barbara and Ventura county Dave MacDonald at 805-290-5009 so we can make a plan to get your jewelry back to you. Don’t waste time trying to buy or rent a metal detector, just call the metal detection expert at 805-290-5009 so you can get back what was lost.

Clucking Success: Finding a Wedding Band in a Brooklyn Chicken Coop!

  • from Orchard Beach (New York, United States)

Sometimes, metal detecting takes you to unexpected places—like a chicken coop in the heart of Brooklyn! When I first got a text about a lost gold wedding band in a backyard chicken coop, I thought someone was playing a prank. But as it turns out, this was no joke. The gentleman had been tending to his chickens when his ring slipped off, disappearing into the dirt, hay and feathers.

Armed with my trusty detector and a lot of determination, I set out to find that ring.

It was discouraging, all the metal in the chicken coop walls and various sections was making my equipment less than optimal..

Navigating around curious chickens, it was definitely one of the more unusual searches I’ve been on! After carefully scanning the coop, first, I found a wrench that probably hasn’t seen sunlight for 50 years, then at the entrance of the chicken coop, technically outside of the chicken, I used my pin pointer and found the ring!

I heard that unmistakable tone—and there it was, buried in the ground, shining gold.

The look of relief on the gentleman’s face and the feeling of shaking his hand while looking in his eyes, genuinely feeling happy for him, was priceless. Besides chickens, he keeps bees! 🐝. Along with my come-out fee and reward he gave me eggs and honey! Major win for both of us!

It’s not every day you find yourself metal detecting for gold in a chicken coop, but it’s moments like these that make what I do so rewarding. Whether in sand, snow, or—apparently—chicken coops, a lost treasure can always be found!

Lost Tiffany Diamond Ear Ring Skydiving

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got call from Faith, she said she was Skydiving for the first time.  Once she landed in the field she was taking off her Goggles and felt her brand NEW (only had them 24 hours/10yr anniversary gift) Gold & Diamond Ear Ring flew off.  She immediately dropped to her knees with her parachute still attached and started looking for her ear ring.   Her partner and all of the staff at the Sky Diving Club searched and searched but with no luck.  They bought a metal detector NO Luck, the had someone come out with a better Metal Dectector- NO Luck.  Someone suggested she better hire a Pro, so she called “The Dallas Ringfinders”.

We got the call 1 week after the loss, we scheduled to come out after church on Sunday and met the couple and all 7 of the staff of the Sky Diving Club, everyone there had been searching for the Ear Ring.  Great thing was the staff had put out a orange cone at the landing location where Faith had landed.  Ellen & I got our Garrett AT Pro Metal Detectors and  our Garrett Water Proof Pinpointers and began our search… it only took a minute.  I got a solid 45 gold signal at less than 2 inches deep.  I checked the site with my Pinpointer but go No signal, I then cleared the dried grass with my foot and scanned again,  still getting the 45 Gold signal indicator.  I then bent down and slowly and carefully scanned the area with my pinpointer and got a hit on the edge of the thick grass I had cleared.. still seeing nothing I use my hand to slowly clear the grass and then I saw the “Glint”.  What fun to return a beautiful ear ring..

Sentimental Gold Ring Lost off Dock in Port Severn, Georgian Bay, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Tom was attending a bachelor party fishing weekend with the groom, groomsman and proud Father’s up in Port Severn on Little Go Home Bay.

There was a rush to get up to the location as they had an 11:00am check-out time looming.

Tim caught a small fish off the dock which caught his necklace, the necklace came loose and the sentimental ring fall into the water. The depth was approximately 5′ to 6′ of with murky bottom with lots of shells.

I used my Dive Blu3 Nemo floating battery operated air supply system with a 10′ hose, the Minelab Excalibur2 and a pin pointer to successfully recover Tom’s ring in a short amount of time as he knew exactly where his ring went in.

Thank you Tom for you donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!

Lost Gold Wedding Band in Polar Plunge Port Severn, Georgian Bay, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Ajay and his long time University Friends were up at a cottage in Port Severn, Ontario. It was a last get together weekend before the summer as one Friends was headed to Western Canada.

The guys decided to do a ‘polar dip’ into the chilly waters of Georgian Bay. Unfortunately, Ajay’s wedding band slipped off his finger into the water below. One of the guys had taken a video of Ajay’s polar dip. With the help of a program I use (Splice), I imported the clip, slowed down the video and saw the moment the ring came off right in front of the dock.

I used my Dive BLU3 Nemo unit (floating battery operated air supply with 10′ hose) and my trusty Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector. I the 25 minutes in the water, I found the cottage owners reading glasses, a fishing lure and finally Ajay’s beautiful gold wedding band!

What a great group of guys helping me with my equipment, recording from the dock and even a nice hot coffee with food afterwards to warm up. It was a real pleasure.

Thank you Ajay for your generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!

I received a call today from a couple who stated she lost her diamond wedding ring last week on her lawn in the rain. They told me they have been searching the lawn for a week and even used a metal detector, still unable to find it. Their friend told the tp look me up on TheRingFinders website. I told them I was going to grab my equipment and head over. It took me less than 10 minutes to find the ring and return it to the owner. She later wrote me a nice testimonial / review on Yelp.
Testimonial / Yelp Review
A VERY happy ending to one of the longest weeks ever, for me and my husband when I dropped my wedding band running in the rain from the car to the house. We spent a SOLID sleepless week searching night & day for it. We used recruitments magnets, probes, flood lights, black lights, metal detectors, rakes and even removed patches of sod but came up empty handed. Our neighbor had heard about Adam Greensburgs success in reuniting people with their lost treasures and so we reached out to see if Adam could help us. After gathering the details surrounding our event he said I’m loading my equipment and heading your way, which was amazing and unexpected. From the minute I meet Adam I no longer felt hopeless. His presence exuded a sincerity and positive vibe that he was going to do whatever he could do to find my wedding ring and he did just that within 10 minutes You have a gift Adam, thanks for blessing our family in superhero fashion.
