Lost keys in knee deep water
Today walkin down the beach detecting a lady asked, can u find keys in the water. How deep? She told me the story of droping them in her top. Oh my, thats not a key holder.. I asked if they were stranded or were gona stay awhile. She said no we are here for a while so I went detecting for one hour and came back.
Went and changed into shorts and marked off the area. Started at knee deep and worked in.
About 10 min I got them, they were 6″ deep already cause sand is soft there.
Such a quick meet, hunt and return that I got a pic but cant remember her name. Hope she checks later for the story and adds her name. Its a good day. Read the rest of this entry »
Lost Wedding Set Cardiff
Sittin at home when I get a call, Are you the RingFinder ?
Yes I am, what did you lose and where. White Gold wedding set in dry sand. Had a 15 min drive and meet up with him. We got down to the area and 5-10 min have the Little one, now for the band.
I was just about to go trade the XP Sport for my trusty Dualfield PI when I got a faint sound, scoop and nothing but it got louder, scoop again and there she is. Stoked to be able to help and this group was fun to hunt for.

Carlsbad Lost Ring
LOST RING CARLSBAD
Got a call from a local lifegaurd, there’s a lady tryin to find her husbands ring lost in front of tower number (x) if you close by.
I’m 5 min away I’ll head that way. As I start down the stairs I see a lady with a couple small boys and one little girl 
kicking sand around. As I get close she see’s me walking over with detector in hand. She was shocked I showed up without her calling me. I got the story and started to grid. Didnt take long but was out of her search area just a bit. The two boys had been refering to me as Mr John durning our time together. What a TREAT.

Got a text message that said, a friend lost a gold chain. Can you help him ? Didnt know who it was so I asked ?

LOST KEYS / Goverment truck
I was out to lunch with my 21 yr old son when my phone goes off. Hello are you the ring finder.? Yes sir, whats up?
I lost a set of keys on the beach at a USMC bbq. OK I can come right over and meet with u. As we get to area of lost keys, its about 60′ X 60′ he thinks, other USMC guys start moveing all the metal chairs away and the cabana. After about 2 hrs of nails, tent stakes, bottle caps and pull tabs I’m ready to throw in the towel. I just couldnt walk away, he would be in trouble and he’s the same age as my son, but he’s a marine. So I start the path to the restrooms. 3 rd pass of 100′ + area and I get them. All the guys were carrying the chairs and event stuff back to the truck and didnt know. As the young man comes over for another load, talking on his phone about the lost keys, there’s a table layin in front of him, I just toss them down in front of him. The look on his face was Priceless. Helping this young man who serves our country was an honor.

I got a call for Milo’s search and recovery, something I started back in 1996. Got the location and headed down to meet them. 20 min drive and his Mother inlaw moves her car so I can park, as its on coast hwy. We head to area of loss as he tells me how it came off. I laughed and said, most of the calls are off by 10 to 20′. I ask kind of metal and turn on the MX Sport.
Im running a 6 X 10 coil on it. I always start outside edges of area cause I’ve had really fast recoverys by doing this.(?) 3/4 way though first pass and display screams “gold”
Ha what a great feeling, people from down the beach came over and the SMILES WERE FLOWING.

I was down at the beach at tower ?? last night and lost my 25 yr old wedding ring. I asked more info on area and asked if he could meet
NOW. He said yes, so we both headed there. Parking was packed so I called him and let him know where to park. Then my phone died, damn. I get to the area and start detecting, nail, nail, nail, quarter, penny, penny.
I look up to see a man waveing so I go over, Hi I’m Colin, I think I was way down there. I said you must have big feet. 🙂 he had said 50′ ft from tower. We both laugh and head down the beach, only off by 50′.
Almost every call is off.
Did the whole area but nothing,? So I head closer to the water between a group who had offered to mover there stuff and
beep beep. I was smilein so I turned my back to him as I looked in to see a mens 14k gold band. Ok, what color is it ? He says Yellow 14k stamp is worn off. I hand him the ring and the beach comes alive with claps and cheers. What a great feeling. As we walk back he tells me he called his ins but had a $1,000.00 deductable. Ouch.
That doesnt matter now cause he’s got it back.

Just getting done at work when I get a call from a young lady asking if I could help her find her ring in the sand. She tells me they are sifting the sand but cant find it. I tell her to stop because they can make it go deeper. Im on my way about 10-15 min eta. - The hotel guard lets me park there since its their Arz visitors who have been calling me, I think this is 5 out of my last 7 calls.
- As I head down the stairs I see their Red cabana and 3 or 4 people waveing. I meet the couple and ask them to move the cabana as it has metal legs.
- I start my grid and might have been 3 or 4 passes and I know this beep is it. As I look at the treasure in my scoop Im stoked to be the one to find and return this ring. What a BLAST.
- Candice says ah hell I’m huggin you. So cool.
- Then she tells me she just got the band part before they came on vacation. Its a beautifull ring.
- Michael (husband ) took the picture for the book of smiles.
- We headed up as he was gona go put the ring in the safe . And we traded cards to stay in touch.
- Michael tells me last year in Maui his inlaw lost his ring, it was found and returned by a member of “TheRingFinders.com”
- I said yep, My friend David Sheldon and he says yep, thats him.. We R WORLD WIDE…
