I don’t see having to do another recovery in the snow this year as it is quickly heating up! One of my last recoveries in the snow was for a lost key fob that was lost while shoveling the driveway. After contacting the dealership, he was told that it would take 4-8 weeks to get a replacement. Replacing a key fob is expensive as you will need to program the key to the car and pay for a locksmith to come out. It can easily cost several hundred dollars depending on the type of car. In desperation, he reached out to me to see if I could help. I met up with him that night and started to go through the 4+ feet of snow that was piled up in the yard. I couldn’t get my detector to quiet down after trying all the tricks to get it stable. Ultimately, I had to turn down my sensitivity to a level I knew would not reach through all the snow.
After making a couple passes, I decided to shovel back the snow on to the drive way so I could get through all the snow. Returning to the pile, I quickly got a iffy signal and after checking it could see the edge of the key fob! Dylan was so excited to see it! Not having access to his vehicle for 4-8 weeks was just not something he wanted to do so I am very happy that I was able to locate and return the key fob! It was a workout moving that much snow but it was all worth it in the end!
In the early morning hours, I received a text message from Sawn who had been desperately searching for her keys in the snow. She searched for them but with no luck, and knowing the expense to replace these keys, she turned to the internet and found me on the Ringfinders web site.
I met Sawn in the parking lot of her apartment complex. After a brief conversation and walkthrough of her path, I got started.
After detecting for just minutes, I popped her keys out of 8 inches snow. Sawn was amazed and delighted. Within minutes of my arrival, Sawn was in her car and about her day.
Thank you Sawn, for entrusting me to locate your lost keys!
I am honoured to be finishing off 2018 with 13 successful clients and look forward to many recoveries and returns for 2019! I have met some really amazing people and raised over $1,300 going to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation for my #PayItForward campaign using my metal/scuba dive detecting hobby raising donations which is all my reward monies going to this wonderful charity!
I have completed a compilations of most of my successes in this YouTube video
I had a few unsuccessful attempts but will be heading back to those locations this summer to continue searching. I will continue to search for some of the owners of the other rings I have found during searches using social media. THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT “THE RING FINDERS DOT COM” !!!
I wish all “The Ring Finders” dedicated MEMBERS/TEAM MEMBERS a very successful 2019!! Stay safe and keep the S*M*I*L*E*S coming!!
Received a text message from Ron from Erin that another incredible “The Ring Finders” team Steve Zmd recommended me to assist in finding lost truck & tractor keys in my own town!!
Ron was on his lawn tractor cutting 2 acres of grass. He was rushing to finish the grass before dark. After he finished cutting the grass he reached into his pocket and his truck & tractor keys where gone. He searched his property and could not locate them. Lucky he had a back up set of keys to his truck.
I decided to grid the outer portions of the 2 acres using my Minelab Excalibur 2 on ‘pinpoint/all metal mode’. With-in 40 minutes and many darn mosquito bites….I LOCATED THEM!!
He’s one happy camper as it’s pricey to purchase a new set of keys!! Thank you Steve Zmd for the recommendation AGAIN XO
