Metal Detecting Service available to help you find your lost ring or jewelry in beach sand or grassy parks.. Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Irvine CA. .. call or text Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Jose and Ashley had been at Newport Beach, CA. for a relaxing on shoreline. They set up their beach chairs and  umbrella. During their day, Jose  put his gold wedding ring in the cupholder of the beach chair before going into the ocean. Most people don’t want to take a chance of losing a ring in the ocean, but they don’t think how easy a ring or jewelry dropped in the sand can also be impossible to find.

Well, this is what exactly happened to Jose. After he folded up his chair, his ring must have dropped in the sand. He had already walked off the beach and was at his car before realizing the ring was not in the pocket of the beach chair.

Returning to the location on the beach, his search was futile. Somebody that saw him digging in the sand told him about my metal detecting service.

Jose called me, waiting at the location. He couldn’t stay as they had a dinner reservation.

It took about an hour to locate the gold ring and Jose and Ashley met me the next day to pick up his ring.. A very nice couple and it was a pleasure to be able to help them..

Lost engagement ring lost on Oregon beach. Found with metal detector.

Oregon lost ring
This Sunday morning, I received a message from Angie, telling me she had lost a ring on Sand Island, at Rooster Rock State Park the previous day. This area is a very popular, clothing-optional beach east of  Portland, in the Columbia River Gorge.

I asked her to explain how she had lost her ring. She said she had removed the ring and tied it into her top, thinking it was a good place to secure it before going swimming. She and her friends enjoyed the day at the beach, beating the hot weather. When it was time to go, she put her top back on, packed up their stuff, and headed home. Shortly thereafter, she realized her ring was gone. They immediately went back to try and find the ring on the crowded beach. They had no luck, but someone suggested she drop a pin with Google Maps to lock down the location.

Angie had posted her dilemma to Reddit, and she was referred to look for a Ringfinder. Being the only Oregon listing, she contacted me. We agreed to meet up in the closest parking area at 0900 for the search. I want to get on it as soon as possible, and hopefully get there before it was too crowded and hot.

We met and discussed the plan. I told Angie the search could take two minutes, or two hours, so I handed her a beach chair, grabbed my gear, and we started our hike. It took about twenty minutes, and a wade through shallow waters to reach the spot she had pinned on her phone. She gave me a rough estimate of where she had been, so I started a search pattern.

The beach was remarkably clean, so on the first pass I found an aluminum pull-tab and a penny. Angie joked if I could find a few thousand more, she could buy a new ring. About halfway through the third pass, I heard a nice tone in my headphones. I dug into the sand with my hand and there was her ring. I let out a little laugh, and Angie asked if I had found something interesting. I said “I sure did. Your ring.” She was sitting about 15 feet from me and it took a couple seconds before she processed I was holding her ring up. She jumped from the chair and ran over to get her ring. I almost thought she was going to cry, but then her face lit up and she did a little happy dance on the sand! When she finished, she asked if it was okay for her to hug me, and I told her sure.

We packed-up and made the trek back up to the parking lot. Total recovery time was one hour, including the hike to and from the beach. Super helpful that Angie had marked the location, and was able to be there to guide the search.

Man’s Yellow Gold Wedding Band Lost in the Surf, Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a call just after 3 p.m. today from Nate asking if I could help find his wedding ring. I had just finished up my yard work, so I was hot, sweaty and dirty. I agreed to be there in about 20 minutes and apologized for what my appearance would be. I asked him about what time he lost it and if he was in the water. He said he lost it about 1:15 or so and they were in ankle deep. Great news because we were in an outgoing tide, so by the time I got there, the ring should be buried in the wet sand.

When I got to the hotel, I met Nate in the parking garage. We walked out to the area he lost his ring. He explained that he was playing catch with a football and his ring slipped off his finger. The good part was he’s right-handed, so the ring didn’t get thrown off. He showed me the area; I confirmed the type of ring and went to work on my grid search. I didn’t get too far and as I made my turn, I asked him if I had gone far enough on that grid line. He had me extend my line by a few feet and when I took a couple more steps, I got a solid 13 on my detector. A small man’s gold ring can ring up at 13, but so does a pull tab and a nickel. This particular target was a nickel, so I kept going. A foot away I got a signal reading 20-21, 95% of the time this will be a penny. Thinking it was a penny and that I had come across a coin drop of numerous coins, I didn’t dig it up. Mistake!!! After gridding a couple more lines and thinking about the “Penny”, I asked Nate about the size of his ring. In my experience a man’s thick heavy gold ring could ring up in the high teens. Just so there was no doubt in my mind, I went back to the signal and took a scoop of sand. As I pulled the scoop out of the hole, I saw the shimmer of yellow gold in the sand on the side of the hole. I don’t know if Nate saw it, but I reached down and pulled the ring out of the sand. Nate, with no hesitation confirmed it was his ring. This was a lesson learned for me. Nate was so relieved he had his beautiful wedding band back where it belonged.

Nate – Thank you for trusting me to help find your lost treasure. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and all the rewards of being a new father. Happy Father’s Day!!

Jim

Avery was soaking up the sun on the beach in Avalon, NJ, when it was time to leave. In the chaos of packing up, she left her chair with her friend. Little did she know, her treasured class ring had slipped out of the cup holder and fallen onto the sand. When her friends departed, they inadvertently took the chair, leaving the ring behind. Avery reached out to me for help. We met on the beach, and she gave me an idea of where they had been sitting. I began a methodical grid search of the first area, but found no targets. I moved on to the second possible area. Suddenly, my metal detector let out a great signal! Digging down, I was thrilled to see the glint of Avery’s ring in the sand. It was a great day in Avalon, NJ.

*** Lisa called from the Irvine Spectrum shopping center, Irvine, CA.  The family was together on their way to a store inside the mall. Her son Jordan was just swinging his arms showing his brother a basket ball move when his gold ring went flying off his finger.  It happened in an area of the mall where there were many planters of flowers and exotic plants..

He knew the moment it happened and was sure it went to the right side of the walkway. I was told they could be at the location until I arrived. They gave me enough clues that got me excited that this could be a successful search.

Most the plants were easy to search, but there was a thorny Bougainvillea plant that I hate searching. My first scans were done with my metal detector set up with 6” coil. Not locating the ring with the big detector I went to using a handheld pinpointer, crawling through the plants on my hands and knees. ( except the thorny Bougainvillea )

After a more than a half hour the awesome gold ring showed up. This is getting to be the normal, it was found in the planter, but 10-15 feet left outside the box. Jordan and his mother were very happy to have the ring back. Again they told me they didn’t know this service existed and had just took a chance to google search metal detector expert.

I’m glad I have the time to be available to get to these calls in a timely manner which has a lot to do with making these searches successful.

Erin was lifting her large dog into the backseat of a car when the dog’s paw snagged her gold necklace and the small gold pendant possibly fell into the ivy beside the driveway.

I was across town and it was a weekend day, so the traffic was not a problem. It was looking like it could be a difficult search because it was a very hot day.  When I arrived, Irin  was waiting and showed me the area of the loss. I was happy to see that the ivy was under a huge shade tree.

It did take awhile to find the gold pendant. This type Ivy was very thick large leaf. It had many years of dry leaves under the new leaves. It took a while to find the small pendant which was expedited by using my handheld pinpointer metal detector.

Erin was more than grateful. She shared with me that this pendant has the imprint of her son’s finger print. She wears it everyday in memory of her son, who passed away two years ago. It’s these type recoveries that keep me doing this service.

I’m available to help you or anybody that has lost an item at the beach, park, yard, car, water, home even if it has been years ago. Call now for information .. Stan .. 949-500-2136

Gold Wedding Ring lost in the Long Beach sand

Call Surf City Ring Finder 714-944-0555

Damien’s gold wedding ring flew off of his finger while he was shaking the sand off his hands. When I arrived Damien and his friends had an area of the sand marked off where the ring might be.

I found a few bottle caps and pull tabs before the ring showed up. Damien and his group of around ten people all started clapping and cheering. I could tell Damien was relieved that I had found his ring.
