Mobile Metal Detecting Service used to find gold diamond wedding ring  after a week in the grass. Professional metal  detectorist finds the beautiful ring. Metal Detector Man can help you find your missing keepsake.. 949-500-2136

*** Joseph’s wife lost her white gold diamond wedding ring in the back yard. The grass was probably 6” deep. She did feel it slip off her finger in a 8’x8’ spot. Joseph raked and pulled grass out for two days without finding the ring. I believe as you rake grass the heavy gold just drops deeper.

The most difficult part of the search was meeting Joseph at his home. He had difficulty getting away from work. I had to wait for an hour in the neighborhood where I wasn’t quite familiar with. There was a lot of graffiti and all the homes had security bars on the windows. I would not have come to that location after dark.

All was well when Joseph showed up and I found out the loss occurred in the backyard. Sometimes a search in the front yard or curb strip draws unwanted attention from neighbors and people passing by. We went to the backyard where I could see all the grass that had been disturbed when he attempted his search.

I set up my high frequency detector which eliminates a lot of the EMI interference. The first target was a costume jewelry gold colored chain. A couple feet outside the site he laid out I got the signal I was looking for. Like I thought, the beautiful diamond ring was deep in the grass and the diamonds were facing down. That seems common when I’m able to see the ring in its original resting place.

Joseph was very excited, grateful that he had found me on TheRingFinders website. He got on the phone right away to call his wife with the good news.

White Gold Ring Lost While Body Boarding Redondo Beach…Found and Happily Returned.

I was contacted by Joe because he had been out body boarding 3 days before, and while out in the water lost his wedding ring. He was having to leave for his home up North in a couple of days. I did not have a lot of hope for this situation, but when we hung up I looked at the tide charts and realized it would be a negative low tide early in the morning. I called back to let Joe know I would attempt a search beginning at about 11:00 PM working into the early morning while the tide was going down. Still it had been 3 days, and he did not know how deep he had been when the ring came off, but he was able to narrow down the stretch of beach he had been on while he was enjoying the day. I readied myself, rested up, and got down to do the search at about 11:00 PM.

There was a nice open swath of sand to search due to the diminishing tide, so the search began at the edge on one side of the area. There was a lot of sand, and very few targets while the search went on. Back and forth over about 100 feet of sand, and silence. Then a signal, the scoop went in, and there was a ring, a Irish type Claddagh ring. Joe had not described the ring to me, so I had to contact him to find out if I had found his ring, it was not his. The search continued, and Joe sent a picture of his ring, a white gold band with beveled edges. Then I found another ring, a child’s diamond looking wedding band made out of very cheap metal, not Joe’s. Pass after pass working up the slope, and silence, then another signal, scooped, turned the head light on, and in the scoop was a Joe’s ring, 12:00 AM. I contacted Joe, and he came out to meet right away to get his lost ring back which I am sure he thought he would never see again. I think his smile says it all.

Joe sent the following testimonial:

Hi Steve!
Joe here.  You found my wedding band almost two weeks ago now down in Redondo Beach.
I wanted to say thank you so much.  From the day I lost my ring bodyboarding to the time I called you was about a 3-day difference.
You hopped on it right away that same night, and found it before midnight!!  I can’t thank you enough for finding this ring for me.  It means the world to me, and I now know never to wear it again in these kinds of activities.  I always thought it would never get lost, until it slid right off my finger without me knowing.
Thank you again Steve!

*** Joseph had been at Lake Gregory in the Cirty of Crestline, CA. . The lake has sandy beaches that are well kept up. Its fenced off and a pay to enter beach and play area. He called me asking if I could help him find a Cuban Cut  Gold bracelet lost in the water last weekend. He told me he knew the exact location. Our first conversation was on Friday, thinking we could do the search on Saturday or Sunday. I told him the traffic up the mountain and weekend visitors at that location would hamper our search.

We set up to do the search on Monday. It is a 80 mile drive for both of us coming from different locations in So. Calif. He would meet me at the 5000ft elevation near the recreation site. When we got to the south entrance gate it was closed. For a moment we thought the trip was wasted. Then we found out only one entrance was open on weekdays. The other entrance was about two blocks from the area where he felt his gold bracelet slip off his wrist.  After we got where he believed the loss occurred, mJoseph said he was having second thoughts about which lifeguard stand he was near.

He called his girlfriend using FaceTime to get her opinion on the proper spot they had been. I set up my gear planning to search to a chest depth of water. We kept a low profile not to draw unnecessary attention. Visibility was not much, the bottom was sandy enough to hide a big gold chain. That was a good thing because it meant there was a good chance the gold chain could still be hiding. 10 minutes into the search I got a good signal. When I took a scoop in 4ft. of water, I saw a glint of gold mixed with the sand. It disappeared from the scoop but I know chains like to crawl out sand scoops. Another gentle dig with the sand scoop I had a heavy Cuban cut style gold chain to show Joseph.

He gave me a big thank you and we walked off the beach without showing anyone what we had found. I was thankful that we did not get disturbed by curious onlookers. It did take a little coordination to put this search together. At the price of gasoline we didn’t need to make this a two trip ordeal.

.
*** I had just finished recovering a diamond engagement ring for a couple at a South Bay , Los Angeles, CA. beach when I got a call from Ron who had lost his gold ring. He was at Marina del Rey Beach, CA. Which was just 5 miles away from where I had finished my last search.

I asked him if he was able to stay at the site for a while which he said, yes.  I was at the beach shortly after our call, but it took close to an hour to get a parking place. Just part of the job, especially in the summer time.

We kept in touch on our cellphones and I assured him that once I got to his location, it probably won’t take much time to find his ring.  He was at the boardwalk to meet me. As we were walking I explained to him how the metal detector works. Most people are curious.

Just as started my search pattern I got a great signal, but it turned out to be a nickel which has a similar signal as a man’s gold ring.. No problem, the next signal was just as strong and Bingo !!  It was Ron’s gold wedding band in my sand scoop.. Don’t waste time call as soon as possible, anytime… Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** I got a call from Tara who had lost her diamond engagement ring at Hermosa Beach, CA. Her fiancé was with her at the beach when she took her ring off to put on sunscreen. The ring was in the sand near her beach chair but after four hours of searching with many others helping them, the ring would not reveal itself. Some one on the beach recommended that they contact a member of TheRingFinders.
I received the call and met they two of them at the location. We discussed the circumstances that led to the loss of the gold diamond ring. I set up my detector and began a scan. After a few minutes the ring showed up with the diamond glistening and visible in the dry sand. It must have been recently kicked up by one of us.

it was a special moment and both Tara and her fiancé were super happy and grateful that their ring wasn’t lost forever.. I love what I do..

I WILL TRY ANYWHERE .. Please don’t waste time trying to use equipment you don’t have time to learn .. Call is better than text, but I will accept either. .. Stan  949-500-2136

*** Eric had lost his white gold wedding ring while throwing a ball. The loss occurred at Bolsa Chica State Beach in the city of Huntington Beach, CA. It happened under a bridge which connects to the tide water wildlife sanctuary.  He saw the ring fly off his finger and into ankle deep sandy water.

Eric was positive that he could find it using a shovel and sifting system. He returned two days later with a bunch of tools. Starting at 9am he had not found it after 3 hours of hard work. Frustrated and ready to give up he google searched for ideas.

He contacted me and I said I may not have time to do a proper search but if he was at the location, I would meet him there in 20 minutes. Access to the location was over large break water boulders. Once down in the sandy river bottom Eric showed me the location which he had extensively dug up. It was saturated wet sand which can actually help a heavy gold ring to sink deeper.

Turned I my detector, telling Eric I would give it a quick try, because I had to be somewhere else soon. I now had a good location so it would easy to search it properly later. WELL!! two quick swings and I got the signal. Big white gold wedding ring in the scoop.  Wonders never cease.. we just had a couple seconds to take photos before I had to leave. .. Another successful search and a very happy and grateful person that now knows who to call if he needs help finding a ring or other metallic valuable.

Lost Gold Bracelet at Shaws Cove, Laguna Beach, CA., .. Found in the Darkness of the Night

Timing is important call ASAP .. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136  ..I Will Answer the Call.

*** Lily was at Shaws Cove in Laguna Beach, CA. She was wearing a gold bracelet and when she got home it wasn’t on her wrist. She was devastated because it was lost and it actually belonged to her boyfriend.

They had returned to the beach searching for a couple hours with no luck. Then she did a google search for metal detector service, where my contact information came up.

She called me  at 8:30pm while I was driving home from Santa Monica Beach. She verbal told me what happened and that the bracelet was most likely where they had been sitting. Then she added that it could have fallen in the sand as they walked off the beach ( 125 yards +-). Lastly she thought there could be a chance it was was in the first trash can at the steps.

It was pitch dark when I arrived at that beach. Even though I thought I knew that beach well, I had trouble identifying the place they sent  using photos Lily texted me. Tomorrow at daylight may be too late as a lifeguard told me there is a guy that detects that small beach almost everyday.

Finally I found the area they had been sitting and a few swings with my detector revealed the gold chain next to a 3ft.deep hole. I’m sure if someone would have filled that hole in the bracelet would have been push too deep in the sand to be detected with my equipment. I was relieved because I didn’t have to grid the walk off the beach or check the large trash can. I do long grids where the item may have dropped walking off the beach and I have searched many trash cans for lost rings, keys and cellphones.

Texted a photo of the bracelet to Lily and made arrangements to meet her a couple days later to return it . She was more than happy. A very nice lady and a pleasure to help her find what was so special to her and her boyfriend.

*** Steven called me asking how my metal detecting service works.  He wanted to know if I thought his ring would still be in the sand at The original muscle beach work out area. The ring was lost over a week ago and he had posted on a Facebook page called “the original muscle beach lost and found”  I had to be honest with him. That work out area known as the Original Muscle Beach is heavily hunted by recreational metal detectors and if he posted the location on a lost and found social media site, Chances of finding after a week were slim.

I could not justify driving the 50 miles to do a search the area. He understood and decided not ask me to do the search.

Two days later I was at Santa Monica Beach finding a university class ring for Angela. After finding her ring I called Steven to tell him I was only a few blocks away from the Original Muscle Beach work out area. I was going to search the spot where he thought his ring had been lost.

I thought I cleared the area after finding a few coins and a generic stainless steel ring that didn’t look like a custom ring. Also it didn’t have any inscriptions as he verbally described it. I sent him a text that the ring didn’t show.

Fast forward two days later it was looking in some of my recent beach finds and I picked up that same ring. I put it in the light and used a magnifying loop to see a faint electronic inscription that matched what Steven said was on his ring. Crazy! I had found Steven’s ring in a place it should never had lasted a day without being found by others searching the popular location. To top it off it  took me two days to realize I had found it.. Anyway Steven has been notified and will be picking it up soon.
