Ring Found on Madeline Island

  • from Washburn (Wisconsin, United States)

l

Madeline Island sits in the clear waters of Lake Superior near Bayfield, Wisconsin. Big Bay State Park is a perfect place for a relaxing camping trip. The sandy beach seems to go on for miles and is a favorite spot for tourists to enjoy the lake.

It was there that a woman, her partner, and two year old planned to hang out and make family memories. She secured her solitaire diamond ring in a zippered pocket for safe keeping. The diamond in the ring had been passed down through the woman’s family and was a treasured heirloom.

Unbeknownst to her, the pocket had a hole in it and the day at the beach turned into a desperate search for the ring. She was heartbroken. Once back home in Milwaukee, she discovered the ringfinders site and contacted me. She provided excellent details about where the ring was lost.

My detecting partner and I drove to Bayfield, took the ferry to the island, and arrived at the park office with our permit application to gain permission to look for the ring. Detecting on Wisconsin state owned properties is not allowed without the approved permit. The staff at the park wished us luck and we were finally off to the beach.

Once on the shoreline my partner found the ring within a few minutes. The owner of the ring shed tears of joy!

Centreville, Virginia Search for Lost Diamond Pendant…Found by Metal Detector Expert

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Nicholas’s 16th birthday gift from his special aunt…a white gold and multiple diamond pendant.

The first year college student excitedly holds up his beloved pendant after metal detectorist, Brian Rudolph, successfully metal detected the piece of jewelry on Nicholas’s friend’s back lawn.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Nicholas was over at a friend’s house for a party one evening. He was wearing a white gold diamond pendant that was given to him by his aunt for his 16th birthday (2 years earlier).

Because the chain which the pendant was hanging from was partially broken, Nicholas would occasionally look down to make sure that the piece of jewelry was still hanging around his neck.

During the party, Nicholas and a couple of friends started play wrestling. The 18-year-old college student continued to take inventory regarding his treasured pendant following the “horsing around”.

At some point, the guys decided to leave the house through the basement door and go take a drive over to the nearby 7-Eleven. As soon as Nicholas walked approximately 10 feet or so across the back lawn, he looked down (using the moon as his lighting source) and he noticed that his beloved 16th birthday gift was no longer hanging from the chain.

Nicholas began searching for his lost white gold and diamond piece of jewelry but all of his efforts could not retrieve the pendant. It was about one-thirty in the morning, it was dark outside, the grass in some places was fairly thick and tall, and the sentimental keepsake was quite small in size.

The sad teenager immediately went online and searched for an answer to his problem. He found THE RING FINDERS, an elite international directory of metal detectorists who specialize in finding lost jewelry. He immediately left me a text message and a voicemail. Later that morning, I called the distressed college kid to discuss details regarding the lost pendant.

Sometime in the afternoon, I drove to Centreville, Virginia to meet up at Nicholas’s friend’s house where the white gold diamond pendant fell off of my client’s chain. I first asked Nicholas to reenact his walk from the walk-out basement steps all the way to the place on the grass where he realized his jewel was missing. He felt pretty sure that he checked the basement carpet and furniture and so his only conclusion was that the piece of gold was somewhere between the top step and 10 feet across the lawn.

I began metal detecting all of the footage surrounding the suspected site. Unfortunately, nothing turned up. I then did a perpendicular grid search just to make sure that I didn’t miss the pendant if it was stuck on an angle below the grass line. Still, I was again unsuccessful in recovering the item.

Next, I did some detailing around the concrete area at the top of the steps but that too proved to be free of the cherished 16th birthday gift. So, I then explained to Nicholas that the only method left for me to do was to change out my detector’s coil size and set my machine to a special mode that might help pick up the pendant’s gold properties if in fact the item was truly lost on the lawn.

As a result, I’m excited to share that the special strategy that I decided to implement proved to bring success to my lost pendant search attempt! One of the signals that got picked up by my metal detector was not one that had sounded off through my headphones earlier in the search. The piece e of jewelry was just too small for the detector to pick up the target signal when it was on one of the normal search modes.

I was so happy for Nicholas and he could not have been more excited for the work that I demonstrated during that nearly 2 hour search time frame. I wasn’t willing to give up until I initiated every last option that I could offer from my toolbox of experience and technology which ultimately brought the positive results that I and my client had been looking for!

The Thrill of the Hunt: Why I Love Returning Lost Valuables

If you lost jewelry or valuables – call me right away! 646-235-8797

Hi everyone, I’m Reuben Marcus, and I’m excited to a member of The Ring Finders! Ever since I picked up my first metal detector as a teen, I’ve been fascinated by the idea that something lost long ago could still be found, buried and forgotten, waiting to be reunited with its owner. Now, as I close in on 60, that passion has only grown stronger.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about finding an item that someone thought was gone forever—whether it’s a wedding ring slipped off in the sand, a family heirloom lost in the snow, or a treasured piece of jewelry that holds memories beyond its material value. When I see the relief and joy on someone’s face after recovering a lost treasure, I feel like I’ve given them back a part of their story, something that connects them to their past.

I’m retired now after 40 years in IT, and this new chapter of my life has allowed me to pursue my hobby of metal detecting full-time. I’ve always believed that what’s lost can be found, and I’m here to prove that—one search at a time.

If you’ve lost something precious, don’t give up hope. Reach out, and let’s see if we can bring that treasure back where it belongs.

On the Minelab 800 it came in at 5 to 6 an the ATMax it came in at a solid 43. It was a really small white gold with diamonds ring. Glad we could find it for them.

Lost Car Key Fob on Hiking Trail … Found and Returned .. Costa Mesa, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

I Helped Andy find his key fob, I am available to help you, if you lost an item that can be found with a metal detector.. Call or Text Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Andy lost his electronic car key fob while hiking on a local hiking trail near his home in Costa Mesa, CA.

He called me for help after looking for two days. We decided that it has to be hiding out of sight. Which is a perfect situation to use a metal detector. It does help to hear his story to determine if we can use a metal detector.

He had strayed off the trail one time to pick up some trash. This was where he thought the fob could have slipped from his hand. When we got to the general area, he pointed out a bush that he recognized as the spot where the trash had been.

We did find the key fob, but it was not near the bush. It was near a bush 30 feet away from where he thought he picked up the trash. Happens all the time, I always know, that after a person leaves the site of the loss, it is difficult to get back to the same location. We call it searching outside the box.

It was a pleasure to help Andy, and I know it saved him a lot of time and expense. I got to see a happy guy that was relieved to have his lost item returned.

i am always ready to answer any questions you have about searching for your lost valuable .. Call or Text anytime  949-500-2136 … 24/7 “ I WILL TRY ANYWHERE”

Promise Ring & Wedding Ring Lost Rapperswill Park Edmonton Alberta.

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

Jamie called me asking if I could help him locate his wife’s rings lost 10 days ago at Rapperswill Park while playing ball with her two boys.  Jamie told me he had purchased a metal detector and been searching every night for three hours for the past 10 days with no luck!

I agreed to do a seach of the area with Jamie so I meet Jamie at the park. He had his detector with him so I asked him to show me how he was using it and I noticed he was swinging the coil to fast and to high off the ground. I did a factory reset on his detector and told him to swing low and slow!

Jamie showed me the approximately the area where they were playing .  The area was roughly 100′ x 100′. I quickly searched the area and had the feeling that the rings where not where Jamie thought they could be so I told Jamie to ask his wife to come out and show us where she felt her rings had fallen,  She pointed out the area where they played and the area where she exited the park.  I  searched the area with Jamie and after three hours of seaching and as the sun was going down, we found the rings.

Jamie was over the moon to have the rings back after so many long stressfull and sleepless nights!

Thank you Jamie, it was a pleasure assisting you to reunite the rings and to have them back on your wife’s finger.

Engagement Ring lost on the beach, Ship Bottom NJ, LBI, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

It was a beautiful day when Shari and her friends decided to spend some time at the beach. Not long into their day, Shari had a little mishap that would lead to me recovering her beautiful ring. It had disappeared into the soft, white sand of the Jersey Shore. After searching for quite some time, Shari realized it was time to call a professional.
I had just received another call for a ring recovery, but it was in the dry sand, with no danger of being lost to the rising tide. Shari’s ring, however, was right near the high-tide line, and she was worried it would be swept away. I assured her I would get there as soon as possible and decided to prioritize her recovery to beat the tide. I sent her my ETA, and just before I arrived, she informed me that both calls were actually for the same ring. I hadn’t even looked at the other pin location—I just knew both were in Beach Haven, LBI.
Well, all’s well that ends well. Shari’s ring was in my scoop within a minute or so. You may be wondering about the conflicting stories. Both were true: the ring was in the dry sand, with no real danger of the tide taking it. But in Shari’s eyes, since it was so close to the high-tide line, she believed it was at risk of being washed away. Two different perspectives, but both valid.
