Wedding Ring Lost Two Years Ago, FOUND, in Quarryville, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I was contacted by Patrick staying he had lost his titanium wedding band two years ago while mowing his yard. He took his ring off and sat it on the tractor while washing his hands. After he began to mow again, he realized what he had done and the ring had fallen off somewhere in the yard. He would occasionally search for it using a cheap metal detector but with no luck. He decided after two years he would see if anyone searched professionally. He found “The Ring Finders” and immediately called me. I met Patrick at his home and he showed me where he thought it fell off his tractor.  After about 30 min of searching with my Garrett ATPro, I was able to happily return his wedding band to him. I found the ring about 2 inches in the ground and although dirty had no damage to it.

Lost wedding band found in lake after one month and several search attempts in Mount Gretna, PA

This is a story of overcoming trials and not giving up to find a lost wedding ring. I received an email from Tim a “desperate husband” stating he lost his ring in a lake while playing with his daughter. Our first obstacle we had to overcome was our limited time to search.  The lake was private and we were only allowed to search for one hour before they opened to the public. The manager was gracious enough to come in early for us, but needed us out before they opened to the public. After about 10 minutes of searching, my Garrett ATPro began taking on water and shut down. We continued to search with pin pointers, but with no luck.  As I had to send back my detector to Garrett, this approximate two week delay allowed more people to walk and swim in the search area. Garrett’s excellent service department found that a seal had went bad and was allowing water to enter.

Once I received my new detector, we made arrangements to search again. We searched the area hard for 1 hour and 15min, again with no luck. Did I mention that the water was about 4 1/2 feet deep and very cloudy, which caused even more difficulty in searching. Because of our work schedules and having to wait on the manager to allow us to search, we had only one more day to search, as the lake was about to close for the season after Labor Day. We arrived on Friday morning for our one our search. We found lots of coins but no ring. As the manager came over to tell us we had 10 more minutes to search, I  got a great hit around 65. We dug a few times but came up with only a penny.  As we were about to walk out of the water defeated, knowing we needed to leave and that we would not be able to search again, I got an excellent hit around 58 and 2-4 inches deep. Tim swam under, felt the vibration with the pin pointer and dug up a lot of sand. Nothing. I told him I still had the signal under my coil and he went under one more time. As he came out of the water he screamed that he had the ring in the sand scoop. We were both so excited and just could not be any happier.

This was by far my most difficult search due to the limited time we were allowed to search and ruining my first detector to water damage. I was determined to find Tim’s ring as he had photos of himself and his daughter in the water, which gave us an exact area to search. Plus he personally designed the ring so it was even more sentimental to him.  So never give up searching and always call a professional from The Ringfinders to help you search for your lost jewelry.

A memorable Memorial Day when lost ring is found in Maryland

I received a voice mail from Matt saying his wife lost her wedding ring in their yard. After trying a cheap detector from a local store and searching their yard on their hands and knees, they began looking for detecting services on the web. They found me on Ring Finders and I was able to travel and search the following day. I began searching with my Garrett ATPRo and got a great signal after about 5 min. I was able to pinpoint the ring which was deep in thick grass. They were so excited I found it and apologized that I had to drive an hour and a half for five min. of searching. I am just glad I could make their day and see the smile on their faces. This is why I am a part of Ring Finders.

I received a call from a very nice gentleman named Sergio asking if I could help his neighbor. While he was working, he noticed his neighbor Violet and her husband fumbling with an old metal detector. They told him that Violet had lost her wedding ring while gardening. Despite their efforts, their metal detector was broken. Sergio reached out to Ring Finders and contacted me to see if I could help. After several days I was able to schedule the search and met Violet at her home. She walked me around her yard where she was working and after about 45 min of searching, I found her ring in her yard. She was so excited and happy that I found it as she was sure it was lost forever. As we searched, Violet was telling me how much more work she needs to do around the house, because her husband of 35 years has Alzheimer’s. It’s great neighbors like Sergio that makes the world a better place.   For all your lost jewelry contact Tracy Santee at theringfinders.com.

I received an email from Bob stating he lost his wedding ring while walking his dog and was wondering if I could help him. The weather turned to a beautiful 65 degrees after several days of freezing temperatures. I met Bob and he began to show me where he walked throughout the town. He told me that he and his friend (also named Bob) had walked the route several times and could not find the ring due to snow still being on the ground. I searched all the grass areas between the roads and sidewalks with my Garrett ATPro for many blocks. Bob’s friend had been watching me as I searched the last area where he had been with his dog. As I began to move the coil around a tree, he bent down in front of me and picked up the ring. We were excited it was found and he said if it wasn’t for watching my coil he would not have seen it. I did not take a reward, but they said I should count it as a find because I would have passed over the ring in another few inches. Brian called me and stated he lost his wedding ring while helping his mom cut back bushes and cleaning up leaves in her flower beds. While driving to church later in the day, he realized he did not have his ring on his hand. After returning to his moms house, they made a visual search of the yard as well as searching through approx. 10 large garbage bags of leaves and brush, but with no luck. After Brian’s call to me, I made arrangements to search the yard and after approx. 20 min. searching with my Garrett ATPro, I got a strong target signal of 61. As I moved the coil away, I saw the ring in the grass. Brian and his mom were watching from the house and ran outside when they saw my excitement.  Brian immediately took a photo of the ring on his finger and sent it to his wife.

I was so glad to make their day and return his ring before the holidays.

Robert was helping his sister-in-law with yard work when he lost his wedding ring. It was a cold day and he stated it just fell off while burying a drain pipe in the yard.  This had been one week prior to the 2nd anniversary of his wife’s passing from cancer. His daughter-in-law contacted me through Ring Finders and I went to look for it. He told me it was a Silver Ring, so I discriminated out all iron and even gold on my ATPro. After looking for about 30min, something told me to remove the discrimination of gold. It then took me about 2 min to get a great signal in the gold range. After moving some dirt and stones, I found his ring. He just stood their in amazement when I handed him back his ring. I told him that even though it looks like silver, it is actually a white gold ring. Lesson learned and I was so happy that I could make is day during a difficult time for him. Why try to rent a metal detector when you can use RingFinders.

Tungsten wedding ring found near Allentown, Pennsylvania

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I was contacted by Jason asking if a metal detector could find a tungsten wedding band. He stated he lost it while playing football. He tried to find it himself with an “older” metal detector but agreed he did not know how to properly use it. I made arrangements to drive to Allentown to search for it on a Saturday, since this was at his work place. After searching for about an hour and covering about half the size of a football field, I got a loud hit, shallow depth, and found it in the grass. Both Jason and his wife were ecstatic to get his ring back as they have only been married for a short time. Don’t rent a metal detector when you can use a professional Ring Finder!

Metal detecting excitement in Allentown, Reading and Central Pennsylvania

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

After a long winter season, I am excited to get back to metal detecting. While doing some research this winter, I came across the RingFinders.com website. After reviewing the service, I immediately knew I had to join. Because I thoroughly enjoy making people happy and I have been metal detecting for years, I knew this would be a perfect fit for me.

It began last summer when I was asked to find a friends wedding ring after loosing it in a field when he was going down a water slide. After about twenty minutes of searching with my ATPro,  I got a great hit and found his ring. It was so exciting to see his expression that it just made my day. I am now working on finding another ring that was lost last summer.

As a retired Air Force veteran, I am available almost anytime to travel and find your lost treasures. A potion of any monetary rewards that I receive will be donated to my church or the Crohns & Colitis Foundation. I look forward to the opportunity of reuniting people to their lost treasure in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania and beyond.
