Lost cell phone on the beach, Seaside Park NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

I got a call from Steve about a cell phone his wife had lost at the beach. He sounded pretty nervous, and explained that the tide was washing over the spot it was lost. I told him I would be there in about 20 min, and to stop digging with the shovel in fear that it would get broken, and the salt water would ruin it.  When I arrived there was a small moon creator where he had been digging. Steve explained his wife was doing a sand heart video when the hole caved in, which was about 2′ deep.  Then a few large waves washed over it and made it next to impossible for her to continue looking, that’s when she called him for help and the shovel. After a quick search of the area I came up empty handed. Unfortunately after slowly digging and searching it was still no where to be found, and he decided to give up. He messaged me the next day with a picture he didn’t know existed and it showed his wife about 3′ east of the area we had previously looked. To top that off it was right where he had put a large pile of sand to block the rising tide. He picked me up the next evening and the phone was found in about 5 minutes. Steve couldn’t believe how quick it went once we were searching the right area.

Lost Ring OB III Lavallette NJ found by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
I was tagged in a post about a lost ring at OB III Lavallette NJ over Memorial Day weekend. A few people had searched for the ring with no luck. I knew the general area it was lost, from the information I was given. Trevor had placed the ring in the chair pocket, applied some sun block, and shortly later fell asleep to the sounds of the surf hitting the beach. When he woke up he folded up the chair and forgot the ring was in the chair pocket. With that said I knew the location would be different than where he set up for the day at the beach. About a week later I went to do the recovery, and 20 min. later the ring was in the scoop. Trevor and I finally were able to make arrangements for him to pick up the ring, and now its back on back on his finger as I am writing this.

Barnegat NJ Lost Wedding Ring in the Yard recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder 2022

Samantha messaged me last night about her ring that flew off her daughter, Johanna’s finger while she was playing in the front yard. It was her grandmothers ring and had great sentimental value to her. I had already went to bed, but my auto message prompted her to call. After getting the details it was pretty apparent the ring had slid off her daughters finger when she threw her hands in the air. We didn’t know how far it flew, but knew positively, it was in the grass, someplace in the front yard. I met her right after she got off work to start the search. When I pulled up I didn’t like what I saw. It was an underground electric transformer box right on the corner of the property. If you know metal detectors the EMI interference from them can sometimes make the search impossible. I didn’t let her know this, and adjusted my machine to the conditions. Not 10 minutes later the machine gave the sweet sound of a platinum ring under the coil. I felt around with my pin pointer, as the grass was deep, and it was pushed into the dirt a bit from the family searching the day before. When I spotted the ring, I held the pointer on it to let it keep screaming, and looked over to her with a big smile on my face. She ran over in total amazement, with a priceless look on her face. The next 15 minutes are what makes this hobby so special, it was very sentimental moment.#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lostringlavallettenj,#lostringortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj,#lostringlongbranchnj,#lostringbradleybeachnj,

Bayville NJ Lost wedding band in the grass Recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder September 29 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Mary sent me a message about a lost wedding band. She explained that her husband Kyle was washing the cars and his wedding ring had disappeared. He searched the cars, flower beds by the hose, and all around in the grass. They even tried with a metal detector and had no luck. I arranged to meet at the house after work the next day. After talking with Kyle about where the ring could possibly be, he went inside and told me to just ring the bell. He barley had closed the door when my machine gave a tone that was without a doubt his ring. I rang the bell and the look on his face was priceless. Later on after the recovery I found out Kyle and I share the same birthday, Happy Birthday Kyle, this was a great day for sure.

Anthony was at the beach in Long Branch NJ with his family. His wedding ring slipped off into the surf when his daughter was pulling on his fingers, while they were playing in the waves. He marked the location on his phone, and took some pictures of the exact spot their blanket was in. I went there and began the hunt, in little time I had the ring in my scoop. The waves had moved it about 10 yards from the location he gave me. I am mailing it back and he will forward some smiling pics when he is reunited with the ring. Another happy ending. .#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lavallettenj,#ortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj,#lostringlongbranchnj,#lostringbradleybeachnj,

Tom called today, he told me he lost his wedding ring while at the beach at North Beach, (LBI) New Jersey. Tom said the ring was in his hand, and he fell asleep in the chair, when he woke up the ring was no where to be found. We arranged a meeting time, and discuss the details of the search. He asked me how likely I was to find his ring, and I told him 100% providing the ring is where he says it is. Brant Beach (LBI) NJ Wedding Band lost for 2 months recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Valentina called yesterday after I was tagged on her post about her beautiful wedding ring that was lost in Beach Haven N.J (LBI) almost 2 months ago, on July 4th. We talked for a while, and determined that where it was lost there was a good chance it could still be there. She wasn’t positive the ring was on the beach, but sure did know where her towel was, which is a good starting point for my search. We decided to begin early today before swimmers arrived. About 30 minutes later my machine gave a REAL nice solid tone, and sure enough, the ring was in the scoop. The ring will be reunited soon with Val as she is about 2 hours away.#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lavallettenj,#ortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj

Brant Beach(LBI) NJ Lost Cartier Bangle Bracelet recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Got a call from Camille Saturday evening. She had lost her bangle bracelet, but wasn’t sure where. She did have a picture from the night before, which was taken on Brant Beach (LBI) NJ. We figured that was a good place to start. They marked the location in google maps and sent it to me. I arrived at the beach ASAP and after about 1 1/2 hrs. I had no luck finding it. She came down to look where I had been, and we made a few adjustments to the search location. Within 15 min. I had one half of this beautiful Cartier love bracelet in my scoop, and about 10 min later both half’s were safely in my pouch. I walked up to the house to meet her, and told her she wasn’t in the spot she believed she was. With that said, Camille looked down and said, “I guess you had no luck”. I replied, “you were 10′ over” and handed her the bracelet. What a weekend, her birthday was Saturday, her lost bracelet was found, and today her grandson is expected to arrive!!!!!!!!!.

Forked River NJ Necklace lost at the Lake recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder august 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Aubreigh. She was at the lake on Wednesday and somehow she lost her extremely sentimental necklace that was given to her by her late mother. The area where their blanket was is where she felt it was definitely lost. Sure enough, within 30 seconds if got a scratchy tone, moved the sand with my foot, and there it was. The look on her face was priceless. She was by far the youngest person I have had call, and my gosh, so professional, and determined.

Surf City NJ (LBI) Lost Wedding Ring on the Beach recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call from John today. He was at the beach in Surf City NJ (LBI) when his platinum wedding band fell into the sand. He and his wife searched for a while and decided to call in a professional metal detector. He had the spot marked perfectly, and a few swings later I had the ring. WELL, while cleaning off the sand I dropped it and had to find it again. Much to my surprise, it was 7-8″ down. Just shows you how deep they can go.
