After Brennon and Alyssa rode their 4 wheeler along the muddy trails, they decided to call it a day. They parked at the area used to wash off the four wheelers and themselves. While washing her hands with a hose, Alyssa felt her engagement ring slip off her finger. They and other riders hunted for it from 8 PM till midnight with no success. The next morning they returned with a newly purchased metal detector to continue the hunt. After finding only foil, pennies and pop tops, Brennon looked at a YouTube video for hunting hints. He saw a “The Ring Finders” decal on a car in the video and went to our website. We got the call from Brennon on Sunday morning. Carrie and I were able to load our equipment and be on site in 1 ½ hours. The hunt area was relatively small but had quite a lot of trash. It was hard bottom with dead matted grass covered by 2 to 4 inches of mud. After 20 minutes of getting everything, including us, covered in mud, Carrie found the ring, tangled in the grass, under the mud. After some happy tears and pictures (and washing off mud from us and our equipment) we were heading home feeling great after reuniting Alyssa with her beautiful ring.

Doug called me yesterday afternoon asking if I could help him find his wife’s  engagement ring which he lost while he was walking with his children yesterday morning, while visiting at a friends house, I told Doug I could meet him within the hour.

When I arrive at the location, Doug told me he had walk roughly a Block and a half with his children and his dog. I asked Doug where did he have the ring. He told me it was on his finger for safe keeping, he notice the ring was missing when he got back to the house, you see his wife had entrusted him with her ring while she was attending a tournament in the city,

I asked Doug if he had done anything out of the ordinary while on his walk he told me that he was throwing snow balls at the back of the house, I told him we will start at that location which was a logical place to start when we got on the walkway, Doug said the walkway had been cleared of snow since he was last there.

Doug told me that he had spent a couple of hours walking up and down the walkway looking for the ring with no luck.
After about 20 minute searching the area where Doug was throwing snowballs I found the ring on the other side of the walkway Doug was very happy to have the ring back in his possession.

Engagement ring lost in Lincoln park WA, Found!!!

Heather went for a walk this morning on an paved path through a fall covered forest. Along the way the hill she was climbing leveled out and Heather took a break. After pulling off the gloves on her hands, Heather walked up the rest of the hill. Near the top of said hill, Heather’s heart sank. Because with a quick glance at her left hand, she saw that the engagement ring she had been wearing for a month was gone. So the search began. In the pine needles, at home by the sink and then back on the path where she was walking. After no luck, Heather called her fiancée Jack and told him the bad news. Being the ever persistence problem solver, Jack began searching from his job in California. Jack found the ring finders and Heather called me. It was like it was meant to be, I was on my way up near that park. My wife was able to bring me my metal detector and I was able to start searching soon after the ring was lost. All that needed to happen now was to find the missing ring. But it wasn’t near where Heather took off her gloves, or where she stopped and turned around, or on the other side of the path. So I began to walk and walk we did. About 100 yards from where the gloves came off sat Heather’s ring, on the asphalt path in plain sight. I counted about six people that passed us while we were searching for the lost ring, and all of them either walked over the ring or near it. I told Heather at the beginning of the searching, after the ring comes off the hand, its hard to say where it might end up, and as for Heather’s ring I’m so glad it stayed where it fell.

Lost Platinum Diamond Ring in Chattanooga Tennessee…Found

Conner contacted me late Sunday afternoon, on October 28th, around 5:00 PM.  The ring was actually platinum, my first one, so I wasn’t certain what it would read on the CTX.  It gave me a solid 12-03, in the high-trash mode, very similar to white gold. I have attached a couple photos of the happy lady.

LOST ENGAGEMENT RING BATON ROUGE, LA. – FOUND

Taloria called late Saturday afternoon looking for help in finding her lost engagement ring. It was too late to drive the 1 ½ hrs to Baton Rouge and get any hunting in before dark, so we set up to meet early the next morning. When we arrived at the site, Taloria said she was on her way to a party with friends when she placed her engagement ring on her lap to apply some hand lotion. When they had parked in the grassy field, she exited the car not thinking about the ring. When she realized the ring was gone, she hunted in and around the car but did not find it. She then called us to help. Being she knew where the car was parked, the search area was small. The problems were tall grass and lots of trash (foil, pull tabs, drink containers, etc.). The hunt was very tedious.  Sid got tired of the constant up and down to check out hits. He got on his hands and knees and crawled around using the pin pointer. The technique worked. A hit with the pointer and glints of shiny metal proved to be the ring. Taloria (also Carrie and Sid) were very excited. After reuniting Taloria with her beautiful ring, lots of hugs, lots of smiles, and lots of pictures, we all headed home.

Lisa and her friends had taken their you kids to Balboa Island for a few hours at the beach. There are several small beaches on the inter bay where the water is free of waves and it is not windy.

The children were getting tired after a few hours, so they prepared to return home. That’s when Lisa realized her platinum and diamond wedding ring was missing from her finger. It had to be in the dry sand because she had not been in the water. Everyone searched for the ring with no success. 

It was getting frustrating with the kids getting tired and hungry. Lisa called her husband, Ryan. He was at work where he couldn’t leave so he went online where he found my contact information. I was in my car with  my detectors when he called. It was a coincidence that I was less than a mile from where Lisa was waiting for help to find her precious wedding ring.

We met and it was a matter of a few minutes till my metal detector was able to locate her ring. I have a lot of respect for mothers of young children. It was a pleasure to help Lisa find her ring and get on her way to get the kids home for their lunch and afternoon nap.

Lisa was a little camera shy so I got to pose for photo with the ring for the book of smiles.

Lost gold ring in White Rock BC…Found!

I get a call from a young lady telling me that she was at White Rock Pier when her husband was giving her a beautiful 22k gold band when it suddenly slipped out of his hand and fell into the ocean below. She told me at that moment they both thought it was a gone forever.

She went back the next day and thought she saw the ring in the water below but it wasn’t the ring. She went home that night and went on google and searched the internet and found TheRingFinders. We decided to meet at the pier and she showed me the exact location the ring had fallen into the ocean.

Because the tide was low in the early morning I decided to go before work the next day. I got up at 3:30am and was at the beach by 4:50am I had the ring by 5:15 am and on my way to work! It was lucky the ring was there as its a very popular place to metal detect.

Lost gold ring at Daytona Beach, Florida….Found and Returned!

While out searching the rough surf for a large gold necklace, I was getting tired and thirsty and decided to take a short break. As I sat there relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, a man approached me and explained his dilemma. Two weeks earlier, Teddy had been walking on the beach and towards the end of his walk he noticed a bunch of garbage in an area of the soft sand and decided he would do the noble thing and pick up the trash and deposit it where it belonged…..in the garbage can! Earlier in his walk, he had been fiddling with his ring and for some “unknown” reason he slipped the ring onto his pinkie finger, where it was a tad loose.
He proceeded to pick up the garbage, bending over to retrieve each item and he put it all into a small plastic grocery bag, which was then thrown into the appropriate can. And when he walked up to his apartment he noticed his ring was no longer on his finger and immediately Teddy returned to the garbage can and pulled out the bag. But his ring was not in amongst the garbage so he retraced his steps and soon realized that the ring had probably slipped off and into the dry, soft sand.
For two weeks Teddy waited to ask someone with a metal detector to help him locate his lost gold ring and when he spotted me in the surf with my Whites Dual Field metal detector he boldly approached me with his story and I was more than willing to lend him a hand. It took a half hour to cover the small area where Teddy picked up the trash and there close to the concrete steps was Teddy’s lost ring, hiding under a couple inches of sand.
