*** John came to Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. He came early to enjoy as much of the cool day as possible. It has been very hot inland with temperatures over 100 degrees for weeks. He brought a small tent for his small son and to keep their belongs inside.

The lifeguards came on duty later that morning. They ask John if he could move their tent over 30 feet, which was not difficult. The only problem was, he realized his ring was missing from a pocket in the tent.

He called me to help him. I live very close, so I was there shortly after he contacted me. He explained exactly what had happen, showing me where the tent had been .. A few minutes later we had John’s white gold wedding band back where it belongs.

It was my pleasure to help him. I love what I do !!

Carlsbad Metal Detector helps find a gold ring near lost in San Diego Ocean surf

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The Ring Finders San Diego Metal Detector service is here to help find your lost buried treasures. Call or text Curtis Cox @ 760 889 2751.

September 8th,  Krista who was vacationing here in Carlsbad San Diego contacted me when she noticed her lost gold wedding ring vanished at the beach somewhere. Fortunately I live above the beach there being only a 5 min walk, It was easy to arrive quickly upon the scene of the lost ring. Krista showed me an area in the dry sand where she thought it could be,,I scanned over it once & immediately told her Sorry it’s not here!

Only other possible area it could have fallen off was in the surf as she pointed towards beach goers bobbing up & down just passed the shore breaking waves.

My hopes to help her sank immediately knowing it was not possible to swing a metal detector wading in crashing overhead surf sets but to make things even worse, Is the (Timing). Being lost during a (Neap) low tide period on a sloped beach…This means I would not be able to conduct a search until a minus (King) tide period coming up in 6-7 days!

These are the toughest calls I receive. Having to tell someone I can not even attempt to find their ring for a week.!  I then explained & showed Krista the local San Diego tide charts on my phone assuring her I would come back when the timing was right & Mother Nature permitted.

Next Friday the 13th, Committed with Ambition as I made an Iced coffee at 10:30pm knowing the king low tide was finally arriving just after midnight so I geared up then walked down there.

Nearly 2hrs had gone by waiting & fighting the surf then finally the ocean tide backed away far out enough allowing me to get where she may of lost her gold ring 6 days prior. Not long afterwards facing a pitch Black Sea I miraculously recovered her special wedding band in less than a foot down in waist deep water!  She was so relieved the next day to have her gold ring back. The timing was perfect again as they were headed back home to Utah to end their California Vacation that very Saturday the 14th!!

Thrown wedding band found in Logan Ohio

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

I received a call from a lady that was needing my help! Here is the story of how she came to needing my services.

On a HOT summer day down in hocking hills at the campground my husband and I had a few too many cold ones at the pool. Later that evening after watching some football and having a few more cold ones my husband of 8 years decided I shut the door a little too aggressively as I was going into our camper to make him a plate of food. The argument escalated into a full on screaming match and I decided I would take my wedding rings off and throw them. The first throw was pretty unsuccessful and before I knew it I saw my rings within sight so I picked up the biggest one and gave it a big ol fling! Jump to the hangover morning after we hopped in the truck and drove half an hour away to buy a metal detector. First time turning it on and it hits, found the wedding band. Continued the search for the engagement ring for as long as we could stand it. Felt like a hamster running on one of those wheels that goes no where! Fast forward to the next weekend and we went back down to camp to look again. Felt the same way, hamster on the wheel! Meanwhile the song by the band Perry ‘you lie’ the part about the wedding ring playing over and over in my head. After a 3rd weekend of an unsuccessful treasure hunt we decided to try professionals to get the job done. After a search online I came across Steve! He lived an hour and half away from our campground but on an evening after work met us down there to take over the hunt. Meanwhile he’s searching I just feel so defeated and thinking about my bad choices. He had me reenact my poor choice and where that ring landed he concentrated the search. We moved a pile of logs used for the fire pit and there it laid. Steve really was a God send and I am so thankful for him coming to help me undo what I had done. I feel complete again instead of thinking about my bad decisions every time I look at my hand. If you are unlucky and need Steve’s help or even if you just make bad choices at times Steve is your guy!

Yesterday, I got a call from Britany, who was in a panic. Her husband had lost his wedding ring during the Northern LA Boardriders October surf event at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu. He’d stashed the ring inside his wetsuit for safekeeping while competing in the surf. After his set, he peeled off the suit on the beach, and the ring slipped out, disappearing into the dry sand. They knew the rough spot near the shore, so Britany reached out to me—the go-to metal detection expert for finding lost rings in Malibu’s sand and surf.
I headed to Leo Carrillo State Beach, just off Malibu’s stunning coastline, and met them in the sandy area where the ring went missing. With my Minelab detector, I swept the spot, and within a couple of minutes, I got a solid hit. A quick scoop in the dry sand revealed the wedding ring—safe and sound! I handed it back to Britany’s husband, and the day at Leo Carrillo was saved. Finding lost rings in the sand is my specialty, but I’m just as skilled at recovering jewelry from the surf, gardens, yards, or grassy areas around Malibu.

Lost ring recovered Lincoln Nebraska

Call me for all your metal detecting and recovery needs… Rob 402-580-6933

I got a call from Noah’s mom to see if I could help him locate a special ring that he had lost while playing basketball. It was a ring that his older brother once wore. What a blast to see siblings so close to each other. I got the story and pulled out my detector and……………Oh no. There was an underground dog fence giving off a lot of EMI. Bad thing was the house was vacant and I couldn’t turn it off. I started to make adjustments and learned that if I crept real slow I could hear signals amongst all the chatter. A few minutes later I let Noah be the one to operate the pinpointer and recovery the ring. The video shows the interference and the recovery.

Steve decided to do a little yard clean up after Hurricane Helene and while he was picking p all the branches and leaves he noticed that his wedding ring was no longer on his pinky finger.  Earlier in the day he noticed his hands were swelling so he took his wedding ring off and “temporarily” put it on his little finger.  He searched desperately for his ring but soon realized the futility of trying to find such a small item in the thick grass and bushes.  A close friend had a couple of metal detectors and they tried for hours to locate his lost ring and when that did not work, Steve decided to search online for help and typed in “Jewelry Recovery Services” and up popped theringfinders.com!  Steve called m and after a brief discussion I made the drive to his home.  Steve had emptied the large bin and looked through all the sticks and leaves and had also attempted to search the bushes as well and I could tell he was quite tired and frustrated.

I always pray and ask God for wisdom and direction before every search attempt and on this occasion I began my search along the corner of the street and the driveway.  My very first signal was a sprinkler head and one step further another strong signal that registered shallow and with the right numbers.  All total I had searched…maybe 1 minute…and there nestled down in the thick grass was Steve’s lost wedding ring!  I called him over to verify that I had found the correct ring and he was shocked that I was able to find it so quickly!  What an honor it was to help Steve find his lost ring and to be a part of their 25 year marriage story!

Gold Ring Lost in Plants at Irvine Spectrum Shopping Center, Irvine, CA.. Recovered and Returned

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

if you have lost something or need information on how to find a lost metallic item call or text Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136 .. Anytime 24/7

*** Lisa called from the Irvine Spectrum shopping center, Irvine, CA.  The family was together on their way to a store inside the mall. Her son Jordan was just swinging his arms showing his brother a basket ball move when his gold ring went flying off his finger.  It happened in an area of the mall where there were many planters of flowers and exotic plants..

He knew the moment it happened and was sure it went to the right side of the walkway. I was told they could be at the location until I arrived. They gave me enough clues that got me excited that this could be a successful search.

Most the plants were easy to search, but there was a thorny Bougainvillea plant that I hate searching. My first scans were done with my metal detector set up with 6” coil. Not locating the ring with the big detector I went to using a handheld pinpointer, crawling through the plants on my hands and knees. ( except the thorny Bougainvillea )

After a more than a half hour the awesome gold ring showed up. This is getting to be the normal, it was found in the planter, but 10-15 feet left outside the box. Jordan and his mother were very happy to have the ring back. Again they told me they didn’t know this service existed and had just took a chance to google search metal detector expert.

I’m glad I have the time to be available to get to these calls in a timely manner which has a lot to do with making these searches successful.

Mens Paladium Wedding Band Lost & Found On Swanage Beach

  • from Bournemouth (England, United Kingdom)

Jon from Hampshire was playing in the waves in Swanage sea when he felt his ring slip from his finger. He tried desparately to find it but by then the sand had covered it over.

We had a rough idea of its location so three days later, in about three feet of water I begun my search.

As fortune has it I soon found it and it was sent by post the next day. Jon was exremely happy to have it back and made a kind donation to the Magaret Green Animal Charity.
