LOST GOLD BRACELET FOUND WITH METAL DETECTOR

My client in this recovery requested anonymity, so he will be referred to as “Mr. Z.” He agreed to take a picture of me holding his bracelet, which he hopes to get repaired by a jeweler in the coming days. Mr. Z called me on Friday, August 25th, saying he was in desperate need of my services. We scheduled for the search to be the next day on September 26th. Without being too specific, I’ll just say this all occurred in Middle TN.

To make a long story short, Mr. Z’s significant other got mad at him and threw his prized solid gold and diamond bracelet off an elevated balcony, out into an open field. The open field was filled with tall weeds and had scattered piles of construction debris from adjacent construction sites. Some of that construction debris included rolls of old chain link fencing, concrete chunks and piles of old big rig tires that had been cut and flattened out. Just when I thought the search couldn’t get any tougher, Mr. Z explained that before his beloved bracelet was thrown off the balcony out into this mess of a field, he added that his significant other had broken the bracelet into pieces.

I was mentally and physically prepared for this to be an all day or even a multi day search, but luckily I picked the right area to start the search. The HF2 coil on my XP Deus 2 metal detector is not only operating under very high frequencies, which is best suited for finding lower conductive metals, like gold, but the narrow elliptical shape allowed me to fit the coil into the some very tight places. And it was in those very tight places that I found Mr. Z’s lost bracelet links. Total search time was less than fifteen minutes.

It’s normal for most people to withhold some of the embarrassing details of how their jewelry or other items are lost. I do my best to only ask those questions that are necessary for me to formulate a search plan that will have the absolute highest odds of me locating their lost item(s). LOST FAMILY HEIRLOOM RING FOUND AFTER EXHAUSTING FIFTEEN HOURS OF SEARCHING

The young lady with the huge smile on her face is Anna. Just minutes before the picture was taken, she had been crying tears of joy after I found her gorgeous two piece wedding set in her Alvaton, KY back yard.

This story goes back to July of 2026, when on the 22nd, Anna’s ring flew off her hand when she threw a ball for dogs to fetch. The back yard was huge, mostly covered in grass. She and her husband spent hours combing through the grass, but couldn’t find the ring. They had one of their friends who owned a metal detector come and look for the ring, and he too couldn’t find it. Anna found my contact information on TheRingFinders directory, and we agreed that I’d search for her ring on July 29th.

Although I did not find Anna’s ring on July 29th, I doubt I will ever forget that day. It was hot and very humid. I still searched the back yard for nearly 12 hours, focusing on the areas where we collectively believed the ring would have landed. Several 100’ tape measures set out, like I was searching a crime scene for a key piece of evidence. I was spent. Exhausted, I had to accept that I was not going to find Anna’s ring, at least on this day. Before I left, I suggested to Anna’s husband that he might want to check the roof and rain gutters just in case the ring landed there, and to also inspect under the deck since I couldn’t get under there with the metal detector.

Anna kept in contact with me over the weeks. The roof and rain gutter had been checked and no ring. Under the deck, checked, still no ring. Anna’s friend with the metal detector went back and looked some more, still no ring. There was no question that I wanted to go back to look for and hopefully find Anna’s ring, but the unusually long, hot summer was making what could be a long search, not as appealing. Then Anna sends me a text on September 14th. “We are planning on having our backyard regraded.”

Fast forward to September 22nd. I just completed a successful ring recovery in Springfield, TN, about 45 minutes south of Alvaton, KY. I’d already planned to search for Anna’s ring the following day, but in my mind there was no better time than the present to find Anna’s ring. A quick text to Anna was made and she said come on up. The temps were in the 70’s and it was overcast. I set up the 100’ measuring tapes in grid patterns again, but this time in the areas that it was highly unlikely Anna’s ring would have landed. After three hours of checking hundreds of likely targets that my metal detector alerted me to, I got another good signal. FINALLY!!! It was Anna’s ring. It’s a beautiful two piece set (not soldered together), and they had separated, but were only about two inches away from each other. I blew off the dirt and grass and saw that the centerpiece ring slid right back into the outer ring.

When I showed Anna her ring, her eyes welled up immediately and the tears of joy started flowing. Her hands were shaking and she was momentarily speechless. Anna told me that her hope for getting the ring back had dwindled down to almost nothing. She remembered how long I searched for it back in July. She remembered spending countless hours combing through the grass herself. She remembered the hours her friend with the metal detector searched for the ring. Yeah, it would have been nice if I had found Anna’s ring back in July, but it just didn’t work out that way. I think the story behind this ring and its recovery is even more meaningful, at least to me it is. I have the best job in the world.

LOST FAMILY HEIRLOOM RING LOST IN SPRINGFIELD TN FOUND WITH METAL DETECTOR

Ori sent me a text message on September 21st inquiring if I was able to search for a ring that his wife, KC, lost one week ago. We discussed the circumstances of the situation and agreed that I would meet him at his Springfield, TN property the following day at 7:30 A.M. Ori walked me through the areas where he and KC thought the ring had most likely fell out of KC’s pants pocket. As luck would have it, the first search location was in a grassy area near the driveway, close to where I was parked. I set out several 100’ tape measures to help me search the area very thoroughly and systematically. Right at the 25 minute mark I heard the signal on my XP Deus 2 that I was hoping for. It was KC’s ring, buried deep in the grass, completely hidden from the naked eye.

I first broke the good news to KC. She was so happy to put the ring back on her finger. She told me that the center diamond in the ring had been in Ori’s family for years, so the ring was priceless and extremely sentimental to her and Ori. KC had no idea that there were any metal detecting services existed, and credits Ori for finding The Ring Finders directory online.

Since it was still early in the day, I headed north to Alvaton, KY for another ring search. Can I go two for two on successful ring recoveries? Stay tuned and find out!

Apple Watch Survives Nearly Two Weeks on Lake Bottom and is Reunited with Owner.

On September 19th, 2026 my son, Clay, and I were conducting an underwater search for an undisclosed item in a popular cove on a large lake in Nashville TN. The search lasted several hours in depths between 8' and 15', but unfortunately we were unable to locate the rather small item in the murky water. Sadly what we found more than anything was discarded beer bottles and cans. Other items found were several pairs of sunglasses, hair clips, vapes, hand tools and a diving mask. Clay did find a white Apple Watch. There was algae growing on the watch, so obviously it had been underwater for some time. Back on the boat I was amazed to see the watch still worked! The time was correct, but the battery level was at 2%. Once I charged the watch at home I was able to locate the phone numbers for Emergency Contacts of the owner and I gave one a call. The watch owner, Charlotte, in turn called me later that night and could hardly believe we not only found her watch, but that it still worked. She was enjoying a day on the lake on Labor Day, which was twelve days ago when her watch slipped off her wrist and sunk to the bottom of the lake. As it sank into the murky water, she knew it was gone forever. I was happy to reunite Charlotte with her watch the following day. Clay and I will be back to look for that original lost article and hopefully recover that, and maybe even some additional lost treasures that can be reunited with their owners.

As soon as George was done talking I began a grid search in the grass, and at 7:03 AM I got the audible signal on my detector that I was hoping for. Deep in the grass and hidden from the naked eye was Lindsey’s gorgeous white gold ring with a huge diamond and several small diamonds set in the band. George was certain that he and Lindsey had thoroughly searched the grassy area where I located the ring. George told me repeatedly, “You are a life saver!” and, “You have no idea how much this means to us.” Well George, I kinda do, and that’s why I do what I do. Unfortunately, Lindsey wasn’t available for a post ring recovery photo, but as you can tell by the huge smile on George’s face, he’s very happy.

100th Recovery! Gold Cross with Diamonds Lost in Vehicle for Over One Year Located By Nashville TN Ring Finder

Jackson found my contact information online and called me in late July 2026 regarding his wife’s lost pendant. He said it came loose from the thin gold chain necklace and fell between the front passenger seat and center console of their car back in April of 2025. The pendant was a gift from her grandmother, so it was very sentimental to her. Jackson and his wife, Elizabeth, spent hours looking under, in between and around the seats for the pendant, but were never able to see it, but were still very confident that it was still there. They had even used a vacuum several times, each time carefully inspecting what the vacuum sucked up, but still no pendant.

In talking with Jackson, I learned that his workplace was just a few miles from my home and I asked if he would be willing to bring his car to my house so I could use my endoscope to search for the pendant. He agreed and showed up on July 28 as planned. After several minutes I was able to slide the endoscope between the underside of the carpet and the metal floor of the car and actually see the pendant. Our attempts to feed a long flexible wire with a hooked end to retrieve the pendant were unsuccessful. Not wanting to damage the pendant or his vehicle, I suggested he take the car to the dealership to have them remove the seat. On August 21st I got the text from Jackson that I been waiting for. They were on their way home from the dealership and Elizabeth’s pendant was in fact concealed deep under the carpet of the front seat. Although I wasn’t able to hand the pendant to Elizabeth myself, just knowing that I gave them the confirmation they needed to have the seat removed at the dealership works for me. This makes my 100th successful ring/jewelry recovery since I joined TheRingFinders directory in March of 2023.

Metal Detector Used to Find Lost Ring in Clarksville TN

Ryan called me on July 22nd and asked if I would travel from Nashville to his home Clarksville TN to look for his platinum wedding band. He lost it three months ago in his back yard when he was throwing an apple over the back fence for the local deer to eat. Ryan did what many people do and ordered a metal detector online and tried finding his ring with it. He did find some small metal objects buried in his yard, but was unable to locate his ring. I was able to find Ryan’s ring for him in about an hour. Both he and his wife were very happy and excited that Ryan could get the elusive ring back on his finger. Being able to reunite someone with something that is very sentimental to them when they had all but given up hope on ever seeing it again is very rewarding and I enjoy it immensely.

Lost Gold Ring in Gallatin, TN Found By Nashville Ring Finder

Alex called me around 7:45PM on July 2nd from a park in Gallatin, TN. He’s from NY and was in TN visiting friends and family at a park and was enjoying a nighttime game of volleyball. Alex had only been on the sand volleyball court for about five minutes and only hit the ball twice when he realized his 22K gold and diamond ring wasn’t on his finger. The game came to a halt and everyone began sifting through the sand with their fingers looking for the heavy gold ring. After about an hour Alex’s brother found my contact info on TheRingFinders directory.

I made the 45 minute drive to Gallatin and met Alex at the park. He and his friends were still playing volleyball on the same court much to my surprise, but maybe they were hoping someone would step on it and feel it under their feet. I began a grid search and immediately began getting lots of signals, resulting in lots of pennies, dimes, pieces of aluminum can and other miscellaneous metal bits. At one hour and twelve minutes into the search I got the tone I was hoping for. It was Alex’s ring, about two inches deep in the sand and at least twenty feet away from where Alex thought his ring would be. Alex was extremely happy and said it would have been very painful for him to return home to NY without that ring.

Wedding Ring Lost in Harpeth River Found With Metal Detector

Jeff and his wife were enjoying the cool water of the Harpeth River in beautiful Leiper’s Fork, TN on June 20th when he lost his gold wedding band. They spent hours looking under rocks in the shallow river, which luckily was only six to ten inches deep in that area. Unable to find his ring, a family member of his looked on the internet and found my info on TheRingFinders directory. When Jeff contacted me I was in TX, but I assured him that based on what he told me, it was likely that the ring was nestled down in the rocks and probably even covered in silt from the flowing water, making it even more difficult to find. With Jeff’s hectic work schedule and me being out of town, we aimed for the search to be done today on June 28th. This search was the first of three searches on this day.

We met at the small winery along the river at 10:30 am. The business hadn’t opened yet however there were still about ten people seated in chairs in the shallow spots, enjoying the shade. A nice couple moved their chairs after Jeff mentioned why we were there. As the growing crowd of onlookers watched I continued my search for Jeff’s ring. After a few non-target items like pocket change and pull tabs were detected and removed from the river, I got another signal. Jeff was watching eagerly when I pulled the ring out from under some rocks and asked, “Does it look anything like this?” Everyone was cheering and clapping for Jeff. The pictures don’t do any justice to the river, but in my opinion it was the smiles on Jeff and his wife’s face that meant the most to me.

Wedding Ring Lost for Two Weeks Found With Metal Detector

Elia contacted me a week ago regarding her wedding ring being lost in her back yard a week prior. She had handed the ring to her husband when she went swimming and he put the ring in his shorts pocket. He later pulled some car keys from the same pocket and the ring apparently fell somewhere in the yard. Elia’s husband bought a metal detector and tried finding the ring himself, only to become frustrated. When our schedules were aligned I met with Elia and her husband on 06-28-2026. The back yard was expansive, but Elia’s husband showed me the areas where the ring was most likely lost. About 30 minutes into my grid search I got the tone that I was hoping for. Elias’s beautiful ring was concealed deep in the grass, not visible to the naked eye from any angle. Elia and her husband were elated, and I was quite happy myself. Eliza’s husband had already looked into replacing the ring and was shocked when he’d seen how much the price of gold had gone up. This was my second successful ring search on this day.
