The Bay Area Ring Finders Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

This story includes a traveling mother, a sweet nanny, three adorable yet maybe mischievous young girls, and a lost wedding band.

Robin texted me one evening explaining that her daughter had taken her beautiful wedding band (rose gold with diamonds) to a playground with her.  She goes on to explain that the ring was then lost in the woodchips and remained at large.  She was looking for an individual with a metal detector to help find it.

I was just the person for the job and responded to plan and schedule a search.   Robin would be traveling and confirmed her nanny Gaby and the children would meet me for the recovery of this ring.

Gaby and I coordinated a date and time and when it came I was up to the task.  I arrived a bit earlier than expected and when Gaby arrived with three cute blonde girls all roughly the same age as my three boys, I got a good chuckle thinking about the old TV sitcom the Brady Bunch.  This search had all the makings for a good episode complete with a wholesome plot and the nanny (although much younger and far more cute than that of the TV series).

We walked out to the play structure where the ring was reportedly lost and one of the girls showed me a tiny area and said the ring was somewhere just there.  I turned on my machine and waved it less than three times and in less than a couple of seconds…We made the Recovery!

Thank you Robin for utilizing me to help recover your beautiful ring!  I’m so happy for the best of outcomes.

Lost White Gold with Diamond Wedding Band at Kaimana Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Vicki who hails from Blaine, Washington and was celebrating her 50th Wedding anniversary with her husband Jim at Kaimana Beach Waikiki.  While enjoying the cool water at Kaimana Beach, Jim’s White Gold with Diamond ring slipped off his finger and disappeared in the silted up water.  Vicki & Jim searched as best they could but the water was a bit too murky.  The lifeguard told them to contact “the ring finders” and that’s how they found me.  I told Vicki I lived 10 minutes away and would grab my gear and head right down.  If I could find parking that would be grand.  Thankfully,  there were a few stalls open near Kaimana so I arrived in record time.  Jim had been standing in the water on the spot for over an hour.  I fired up the Manticore and rushed out to meet him in about four feet depth of water.  I told him to stand in that spot and I would do a grid search around him.  I had a loud possible target but it kept moving away so I assumed it was a beaver tail.  As I got closer to Jim I got a very high tone that sounded like a quarter.  I asked him if he had lost any change while hanging out in the water and he said, “No!”  I dug that target and it was an awesome chunky silver ring with a Tiger’s Eye stone.  Now where is Jim’s ring?  I started to think since the tide was going out Jim might have lost his ring closer to shore where it was four feet deep an hour ago.  Sure enough, Boom! about twenty feet closer to shore I got a loud mid-tone and there was Jim’s ring in the scoop after the second try.  Much jubilation and hand shakes.  50th Anniversary saved!  Aloha to Jim & Vicki!

Received a message about a lost men’s white gold wedding ring that had been accidentally thrown into a yard. After an extensive but unsuccessful search by the owner, I was called in to help. I conducted a thorough search of the area and eventually found the ring hidden in the grass. The owner was incredibly happy and relieved to have it back.

Lost Tungsten Ring Found Inside Car in Detroit Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Treasure Trunk…..

Those words always make me think of a pirate treasure chest loaded with booty. Unfortunately, this hunt was different. It began when James was hauling items from one yard sale to another, a de-cluttering of sorts with some friends. When nighttime came and they were all sitting around a bonfire, James noticed his ring missing. The next day I started a grid search on the grounds where he was loading items into bags and boxes and followed the path he took to the car. No metal signals came thru on my MXT metal detector. I started to wonder if the ring was inside a bag or box, but he said that none of his friends said anything after emptying them. So, a vehicle search began. nothing inside the car was found but when I moved the panel covering the spare tire in the trunk there his ring was hiding under it! James couldn’t believe it was there! Truly a case of less is more!

He Spiked it to Win It….

But during a short break to celebrate, Santhosh noticed his gold ring missing. With the court due back is session shortly for a final game, he sat out of bounds and called me. I arrived and both teams relocated to another court to allow me full access to search where Santhosh was playing. Grid searching with my MXT metal detector with the bigfoot coil covered the ground fast. As I closed in on an area near the net I got a nice clear signal. Reaching down thru the grass revealed Santhosh’s gold ring. Holding it up in victory his family came running to see it. Even tho his team lost without him, he felt recovering his ring was the “set” of a lifetime!

This young lady text me on friday night saying she lost her ring that was a family heirloom. She said they where driving along the road and she went to throw her daughters icecream cone that she didnt want anymore out the window and when she did the ring came off too. So I met her there as soon as it got daylight and searched for about 2 hrs she knew where the icecream cone landed (off the road about 20 feet) but we couldnt find where the ring was. She definitely seen it fly off so I knew it had to be there somewhere. I finally went right beside the busy highway and was going along there when I seen a sparkle in the rock from the rising sun and there it was. She was super happy, I give praise to God cause we where really praying that we would find it.

Lost Gold Ring Found on the Beach in Monroe Michigan

Where the Water Meets the Sand……

Was the partial voicemail left by Haida who texted next that she and a friend were picking up beach shells and driftwood when her ring fell off her finger. It was a very special ring, one that her sister had just presented to her for graduation. Getting too dark to search further, she went home and was hoping that her sister didn’t notice the ring missing. We met the next morning and Haida with her friend relocated where they remembered being. I noticed patterns on the sand where the tides gently rolled across the sand overnight. I began a grid search with my MXT metal detector at the water’s edge. Working in towards shore I sank into the sand almost a foot deep, it was very loose with rough edged granules. Getting a good signal, I started to sift thru the sand with my pin-pointer metal detector and felt it buzz next to my hand. Slowly bringing the scoop of sand up Haida’s ring revealed itself! Haida and her friend were up on solid ground with their backs turned so I just stood there holding the ring up. When they turned around, I never saw anyone run as fast to get their ring! Thinking it was lost forever Haida was extremely happy that it wasn’t, and now she’ll always stay in good standing with her sister through every high and low tide.

White Gold and Diamond Pendant Recovered

  • from Denver (Colorado, United States)

Recently while enjoying a wonderful warm afternoon in her backyard Melinda’s prized white gold with 3/4 carat diamond pendent went missing. Melinda was holding one of dogs when his paw got caught up in her necklace and pulled it away from her neck. She managed to catch her necklace, but the pendant had managed to escape her grasp and had disappeared into the grass. Melinda and her 80-year-old mother spent hours on their hands and knees searching for the pendant. She even went as far as borrowing a detector from a neighbor and tried to find her pendent but had no luck as she had no idea how to setup the machine to recover such a target.

She sent me a text about my ability to find her pendant; I happened to be in area and actually had my XP Deus with high-frequency coil with me. We exchanged a few texts and finally a phone call to finalize search details. I was pulling up to her house just over an hour from first contact from Melinda. She explained what had happened, where she was standing when the pendent went missing. The search areas was small but so is the pendent. I set up my machine and Melinda went inside to grab a sport drink for me. With the first swing of my machine a good signal rang out, I pulled back the grass the pendent revealed itself. When Melinda returned with the drink, I was holding her pendent out for her to see. I think she was in disbelief that I had found it so fast.

LOST 18k HEIRLOOM RING in WINSTON SALEM, NC……..FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text from the young man yesterday about losing his heirloom gold ring that was his late grandfathers.

He had taken it off, put it in his pocket and was playing basketball. He later took the rings out of his pocet and put them on the porch, but didn’t realize he had lost one until later.

He searched for this ring for days and even used a metal detector. He wanted to keep trying into the night before he had me drive out to him. I walked him through some settings and gave him a VDI range to search for.

Earlier today, I received a text that he wanted me to try, so I loaded up and headed his way.

After arriving, 10 minutes later I found his ring, under the goal and already pushed into the dirt from being stepped on.

Lost Vera Wang White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Band at Aulani Beach Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a text this morning when I woke up saying, “Aloha Joe, I found your number on ring finders.  Friday 10/03, about 5pm I went swimming in the Aulani Lagoon and lost my wedding band.  I had my niece on my back and they wanted to swim out a lil bit and it slipped right off my finger.  I read about all your experience and testimonials.  I live on the island,  Kapahulu side.  My family and I tried our best to snorkel and look for the ring but we had no such luck.”  Kapahulu is just down the street from me, so I called Whitney to get the details of the ring and lost location.  To my surprise she described the stunning ring I had found the morning before, Saturday at Aulani.  I hadn’t posted anything about this find yet and she described the ring and location perfectly.  She was at work and we agreed to meet afterwards for the return.  Whitney was so grateful to have her stunning ring back as you can see in her smile above.  Aloha to Whitney!
