Lost Tungsten Ring In The Grass Found In West Bloomfield Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Zero Turn Action…..

….and a cooling breeze from acceleration is what Mark was enjoying while mowing his 1/4 acre property. But somewhere his wedding ring came off while flipping between the mower controls. On site I noticed his visually sharp rows and the scent of freshly cut grass. Using the rows as a guide to grid search, I swung my MXT metal detector coil over the ground with no junk targets or iron riddled soil signaling back. Of all the places to search, I concentrated on the shed area where he was fiddling with the mower. Suddenly a good target rang out thru the headphones. Pin-pointing thru the grass, this very handsome Tungsten ring appeared! Texting Mark to come out to the shed he arrived quickly. Asking if I was on a break from the heat I said no! look down! As he reached down to retrieve the ring he asked ..is this where it was? I said yes and this was the best lawn job I’ve ever done!

Lost White Gold Ring Found In Toledo Ohio

Red, White and BOOM!…..

…..Going into her 2nd week of marriage, Amanda’s 2 rings came off while at a fireworks display. She recalled carrying coolers, food and beverages up and down some stairs. Early today they located the smaller of the 2 rings but couldn’t find the larger ring. Feeling red with anger, white with fear and blue of not seeing the ring again I told her on the phone I was up for some high flying fun of a search. Scanning the land that I love, the metal detector rang out with the sound of freedom. When I reached down in the grass, something was sparkling so bright I thought it was a firework… but it was her wedding ring! When she came to the spot and saw her ring, her smile was indeed as bright as fireworks as she displayed her excitement with indepen-dance! We soared high on the great feeling of matching the spirit of the holiday by bringing freedom back to the ring and were thankful we live in the U.S. of Yay! As I departed with a piece of pie on this great 4th of July I said, Keep calm and sparkle on!

Lost White Gold Ring Found In Chesterfield Township Michigan

A Widows Tale….

…..It had been only 6 weeks since Dottie’s husband of 40 years passed away when his ring she wore in remembrance fell off her finger in the yard doing landscaping. When he was alive it had come off a few times but they were always able to locate it. She thought the ring was either silver or white gold. She borrowed a toy type metal detector and it only augmented the frustration of the massive amount of signals coming in with no way of interpretation. On site she showed me the areas she was where she felt it came off. She went into the house to tend to a few chores thinking I may be awhile. Setting up my MXT metal detector for turn on and go made short work of the loss despite the huge amount of iron signals coming thru. Just a few feet away from the flower beds I got a white gold signal that overloaded the detector sensors! Scraping aside a little dirt and grass revealed the missing ring! As she peeked out the back door I waved for her to come out. Bewildered at what I was pointing at she stooped down for a closer look and couldn’t believe that it was found! Seeing Dottie reach down to pick up the ring and the expression on her face was priceless. Providing closure for her was a great feeling as now she can continue her grieving process in her own way, knowing the ring is where she needs it to be.

James 1:27: Pure and undefiled belief is this, help widows in distress and keep oneself truthful in your actions.

Lost Gold Earring Found In Southfield Michigan

Flipped Out…..

……Is how gymnast Tessa reacted after getting home and discovering one of her sentimental earrings came off after a practice session with her friend at a city park. She pondered if she would ever see the earring again. After she did a layout and an arched body position, flexibility was achieved and what started off as a few pirouettes escalated into Olympic order competition. Cutting to the chase, Tessa executed a handspring, followed with a twist, flip and a flic-flac then reversing directions to the starting point. Moving to another location in the park with less area she repeated the routine. On site I got a read off the other earring and checked the first location as that was where she felt the earring came off. No luck. Moving to the second location my metal detector signaled with a matching meter read. Reaching down into the grass revealed her gold earring! I said hey Tessa look here! As I pointed, she reached down and lifted her earring from the tangled grass. Completely speechless she was and couldn’t believe that it was there. Even tho the Olympics are within reach, for now this is how she has fun doing what she does and achieving personal success.

Return To Sender……

…..Got a call from Terry, a postman who said his ring fell off somewhere on his route. I told him I was certified, insured and offered special handling along with same day deliver of the lost item. Sensing the priority, I airmailed myself to the ZIP code in question. Arriving at the curbside I turned on my MXT metal detector and began tracking the lost item. Scanning his mail bag and cart revealed nothing. Developing a sort plan, we decided to begin at an address block and start the clock. Scanning the curb strips and grass areas covered quite a few homes. Nearing the end of the route the tracking number came in on the call window of my tracker and revealed a match. Reaching down in the grass revealed Terry’s lost ring! With delivery confirmation confirmed, Terry was thrilled with the handback service and that a change of address wasn’t needed. A picture for the post card followed.

Lost Titanium Ring Found In South Lyon Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Under Fire…..

….Is where Ethan found himself on Father’s day after signing up for a tour of duty battling a group of youngsters during a hand thrown paintball game. Ducking, diving and hitting the deck, he was doing a fine job at dodging the colorful bullets, but during return fire, his ring slipped off on the large battlefield. Nearing dusk, as the children flanked him from all directions he had no choice but to try and run thru a gap before being overtaken by the little warriors, darkness and mosquitoes. On site I began my grid search and after getting many large iron signals I learned there once was an old house upon the property, so I concentrated on the area where I saw the spent paint bullets. Closing in on the grid search I got a mixed signal of iron and a non-ferrous signal. Lifting the metal detector coil up a bit revealed a good metal signal and that the iron was trying to overtake the smaller, better signal. Pin-pointing thru the grass and reaching into it revealed this handsome titanium ring! As Ethan turned to see what I was holding he was hit with astonishment of the recovery and although his first time throwing lost him the battle, in the bigger scheme of things he won the war!

Lost Car Key Found In a Park In Taylor Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Young Dad Gets His Ride Back……

…..A call came in around noon today from Keegan who was visiting some family. He said he brought the children to the park and took a zig-zag shortcut thru a woodsy, undeveloped park of the park to avoid some flooding on a trail. When they got back to the car about an 1/8th of a mile away he reached for his key and just the plastic holder that held the key was there. Panicked at being stranded he thought how he was going to get back home to Pontiac MI. On site we discussed where the key may have come off the plastic holder so we packed up the children and drove to the woodsy area. While the children sat in my van with the air conditioning on, the temperature was rising as Keenan and I went into the search area. I had my MXT metal detector set for no discrimination and sensitivity set as high as I could as sweeping the coil was difficult thru the thick and deep foliage. Getting tangled a few times convinced me this was where his key got caught and came off. There was no way to get a perfect swing of the metal detector coil so poking the end of the coil in and out of openings in the brush and pushing the weeds down with the coil was my only option. After a few junk signals came thru I found a small piece of open ground with loose leaves. Sweeping the coil over I got a nice signal 0″ deep in the brass range on the MXT meter. Checking with my pin-pointer outlined a basic shape size of a key and pushing the brown leaves aside revealed his missing key! Keenan was in total shock that it was here and that he didn’t have to get towed and a new key made! Taking them back the the car and watching him unlock the door and drive off was wonderful to see! Even tho his day started on a blue note, they are now on their way to a wonderful Father’s Day!

Lost White Gold Charm w/Diamond Birthstone Found In Birmingham Michigan

Detachment Disorder…..

….Patrick surprised his wife on one of their anniversaries with 4 birthstone charms for each of their children.

Wearing them proudly she eventually began to wear them as her regular jewelry. Although one child they fostered from infancy to young adult, they always felt that all 4 were theirs, especially more so now as the young adult went back to a biological family member. Feeling the loss, Patrick and his wife continued with their routine, including setting up the flower beds. While his wife was working the beds she felt her necklace snap and the birthstone charms disappeared. She was able to locate 3 of them but the one she couldn’t was the charm for the recently departed foster child. Feeling devastated on the loss of this particular charm and not being able to ever see or wear it again might make someone wonder if it was some sort of symbolic meaning. Upon arriving I thought it was quite an unusual event. Taking a read off another charm with my metal detector I set about searching the flower beds to no avail. Scanning over the white stones footpath I got a matching signal. Moving some stones out of the way revealed the missing charm! Patrick reached down to retrieve it and was totally in awe that it was found! Planning to surprise his wife with the news we were both happy that the forever family was reunited and the charms meanings will always remain an unbreakable bond close to her heart, never straying too far from the tree.

2 Lost White Gold Ladies Rings Found In Lapeer Michigan

Daily Double No. 2

Newly married and at a engagement party for their friends, Logan’s wife lost her rings. After a few days and borrowing a metal detector they had no luck in locating them. Meeting this morning we discussed the path she was on and even tho it was dark out, he thought he remembered the general area. The neighbors had opened their pool and she had been in it and travelled back towards the house. Starting at the pool I grid searched a wide path going towards the house with my MXT metal detector. A few deep iron targets sounded off but after a few minutes I got a nice signal close to the surface. Probing with my pin-pointer thru the thick grass I got a signal. Reaching thru the grass and clover revealed the larger of the 2 rings! Leaving the ring in place for reference, I searched thru the grass and clover and about 2 inches away was the thinner ring! Logan couldn’t believe that they were found after searching the same area with the borrowed metal detector. Totally thrilled we both agreed that this was a great thing, and that the party ended on a good note!
