Lost Tungsten Ring w/ Wood Inlay Found In Royal Oak Michigan

Are Woodies Making A Comeback?

Paul and his family were in town and decided to stop at a park to toss a football around. Around dusk they all piled back into the car and headed to the relatives place. Upon arriving Paul noticed his ring missing. Checking the area the following morning revealed nothing. 2 days had passed and today on site I noticed that the park grounds maintenance had cut the grass and used a blower in the area where Paul thought it came off. Turning on my MXT metal detector I started to grid search the area which was hardened mud and crispy russet colored leaves. As my feet crunched the leaves I got no metal signal in the area of interest. Deciding to fan out a bit was a better decision. Just 3 feet from the back of the parking bumper in the grass revealed this quite stunning tungsten ring inlayed with oak wood from a whisky barrel! As Paul and the family were busy on their phones he looked over and I waived for him to come take a look. He reached down, held it in the air and yelled to the family to come see. They all came running over and were elated but mystified how the ring ended up there. Watching them drive off to further explore the Detroit area with smiles was a great feeling. So whether or not the woodie automobile makes a comeback, the wood inlayed rings are becoming quite popular.

Fetch!

Is what Hailey yelled as she threw the ball for her dogs to chase late Saturday evening. Back in the house she discovered her engagement ring missing. Her and fiancee walked the property this morning thinking it was impaw-ssible to find, barking up the wrong tree. On the phone I said don’t terrier-self up over it, my metal sniffing detector will retrieve it. Early this evening I used one of the turn on and go modes on my MXT metal detector as darkness was upon us. I Mutt-iculously grid searched in the direction of the throws. After a few minutes I got a bark thru the headphones and a meter reading of paw-ssibly where white gold would be. Probing the grass with my pin pointer revealed her beautiful white gold ring with diamonds! I waived for her to come over and pointed to the ground, and she was full of excitement as she lifted it from the grass and said P’awww you found it! You’re pawsome! Amazed and thrilled it was found she isn’t considering an automatic dog ball launcher but rather will continue to form a strong bond with her dogs playing fetch in PAW-idise!

3 Lost White Gold and Diamond Rings Found In Toledo Ohio

Past, Present and Future….

……That’s what the 3 rings represent that Stephen bought for his wife. The first ring being the past as high school sweethearts, the present and future being the engagement and wedding ring, the latter placed upon her finger a year ago. An opportunity opened up last Sunday to be able to host a family gathering in an open grassy field behind their property. Everyone enjoyed themselves at this end of summer event with the typical games, food and drink along with reminiscing about the good times gone by. Later that night she noticed her rings missing. On site I started to grid search where she remembered walking. I was getting lots of iron signals on my MXT so I turned up the discriminator control to quiet things down. A few minutes went by and I got a good metal signal and checking with my hand held pinpointer revealed the sweetheart ring! I put a marker in the ground as Stephen was elated one was found. Continuing the grid pattern about 30 feet away revealed the engagement ring! Stephen raced over to scoop it up and I marked this spot as well. After that I decided to search back behind where the sweetheart ring was as this area showed more trampled grass than moving in the other direction. Roughly 15 feet from the sweetheart ring another good metal signal came thru the headphones. Probing into the grass revealed the wedding band! As Stephen lifted the ring from the grass and held all 3, he was excited to surprise her when she got home from work, and with the rings being found brought the hope of success in overcoming anything in their future.

Lost Rolex Watch with Diamonds in House Found with Dowsing Rod in Detroit Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

The Perfect Pair!

When Latifa was putting summer clothes and shoes away between 2 different locations preparing for autumn apparel her Rolex watch went missing. On the phone I told her I wasn’t tied up and had lots of time on my hands. Describing the dowsing technique I told her most of the time it’s second to noon. On the way to her she said the watch had diamonds around the face. On site I inserted my diamond sample into the bait chamber of my dowsing rod. Entering one room I slowly swept the rod in a circle hoping it would lock onto the diamond watch but I got no attraction to it. As the seconds ticked by I entered the other room and repeating the dowsing procedure I got a weak lock of the rod towards a box of clothes and a wall of racked shoes roughly 8 to 10 feet from me. I asked if she had looked there and she said yes. I stepped aside a few feet and swept the rod again and it indicated the same general area. To kill some time Latifa searched thru the box again while I scanned the shoes with my Garrett carrot metal detector pinpointer. Some shoes had metal eyelets and whatnot so I had to take them off the rack to check them. Dowsing can by tricky sometimes and I started to wonder was the rod delivering second hand information. Slowly moving from pair to pair about 10 pairs later I got a metal signal in a pair of sneakers at eye level that had no metal on them. Lifting the shoe off I lowered it down a felt a THUNK at the heel. Looking down revealed this beautiful Rolex watch! Showing it to Latifa she yelled to the family to come and see that it was found! As time seemed to stand still she wondered how the watch got there and was happy that her sole mates gave up the watch, making the walk a bit easier and how this pair of shoes changed her life like no other!

3 Lost White Gold Rings with Diamonds and Garnets Found In La Salle Michigan

3 Ring Circus!….

….Is how Becki described her Saturday entertainment event. Attractions included 2 dogs, BBQ’s, inground pool, horseshoes, bonfire, volleyball, water balloons, friends dog’s, badminton, toddlers and pre teens wandering about, ect. When it all ended about 3am Sunday morning, she realized her rings were missing. On site today she also remembered that she was carrying food, bags of ice and was greeting people at the fence gate. As I started my grid search with my MXT metal detector I told her I hope she will like my act. She laughed and proceeded to take her children to school. Foot by foot I eliminated areas and for quite awhile I got no signals on the metal detector.

Then I got one, near the deck stairs in the grass. Pinpointing the target and reaching down revealed the white gold ring with the garnets. I left it in place, marked the spot and continued on. About 10 feet away another good signal in the grass revealed the engagement band. Leaving it in place and marking the spot I kept grid searching and 20 feet from the engagement band I got a softer but solid signal, pin pointing in the grass revealed the thin wedding band! As Becki pulled into the driveway and came thru the gate I said step right up don’t be shy, you won’t believe your eyes! As I took her to each location her smiles got bigger and bigger! and even tho her Saturday event wasn’t exactly the big top, she agreed that today was the best show on earth!

Lost Platinum Bridal Set Rings Found In Monroe Michigan

My Hit Turned Double Platinum!

When I got a text from Nicole saying her rings came off somewhere on their large property, we made plans to meet today. She was playing volleyball in the pool and that’s the last time she remembered having the rings on. She was also in the vicinity of the pool performing various chores. They purchased a metal detector and tried to find the rings but no luck. On site today I turned on my MXT metal detector and started to rhythmically search around the pool, lots of hiss and white noise from trash signals came thru on the headphones. Almost completing the loop around the pool I got a great sounding hit in the area where platinum would be on the MXT meter. Using my pinpointer I probed closer to the ground and got a great vibe. Reaching down thru the grass revealed this most beautiful platinum bridal set rings glistening up at me. I held it in the air and flashed a heavy metal sign with my other hand and Nicole raced over to me. Rock n’ Roll we Hi 5 as she reached down and lifted it from the grass and signaled heavy metal back at me while a huge smile was on her face! We both agreed the rings were heavy metal weight wise and even tho I made a double platinum hit with the metal detector, I told her my musical creations will take longer!

sHELL Of A Deal!

Recently engaged Rohan was out enjoying the water with family and friends. While tossing a ball around the ring came off. They searched close to 5 hrs without success. We made plans to meet early today to avoid possible rain.

Using my detector pro headhunter metal detector w/ 12″ coil and snorkel mask it was a breeze to grid search the area thru the clear water. I also enjoyed that there were no trash targets sounding off, so I knew when the ring was detected the confidence was there that it would really be the ring. Moving out into chest high water I noticed a slightly rockier lake bottom and more shells. As Rohan was a ways off practicing with the sand scoop I got a solid signal near the buoy marker. Thru the snorkel mask all I saw was a cluster of shells. I double checked the signal.

Taking a deep breath, I descended to the lake floor. On the way down I turned my pin-pointer on and detected a metal item beneath the shells. Moving the shells aside revealed Rohan’s stunning platinum and gold ring just under the sand! Enjoying the moment I stayed there for another 15 seconds then ascended to the surface.  As I surfaced Rohan turned as I held the ring in the air. As he came closer he looked as if he saw a ghost ship or something! As I placed the ring and the shells in his hand I said hey this was one sHELL of a deal!

When The Gloves Came Off….

….didn’t mean that Edward was ready for a down n dirty brawl, but rather he had just finished wrestling quite a few large diameter downed branches in the high humidity and temperatures today. When he took his work gloves off and sought the cool shadow of a tree he noticed his new wedding band missing. I turned on my MXT metal detector and started a grid search. As I swept the metal detector coil I observed the tall grass bend under the coil with each swing. The ground contained lots of iron and small pieces of foil. Finally I got a good signal in the range on the MXT meter where the ring should be. I used my pin-pointer to probe the grass and as I pulled some grass out of the way this very nice brushed finish gold ring reflected up at me! As I pointed at the ground and counted to 3, Edward ran fast from his corner of the yard and was thrilled that we succeeded in knocking this problem out. Now he was prepared to continue the upcoming sparring with the remaining branches and yard debris.

Lost White Gold Ring Underwater Found On Harsens Island Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Dad’s Island Gold…

….As Nate and his family steered their watercraft towards a quiet and relaxing island, rough waters had them veer off course towards a dock that was reachable. As Nate roped off the boat and stepped off onto the dock his ring slipped off. On site this morning calmer water greeted us. The path from shore to the suspected location led us over slippery rocks but eventually we felt nice firm sand beneath our feet. At a depth of 4 feet or so I started to metal detect a grid search area. Looking thru my scuba snorkel mask I could easily see the metal detector coil as I searched, along with a few mollusks attached to the dock piers and mossy rocks. I was surprised that I didn’t get any junk metal signals by the dock. A few more coil sweeps and I got a good signal. Taking a deep breath, submerging to about 5 feet and reaching into the sand with my pin-pointer revealed this nice white gold ring! As I came up thru the water and surfaced, Nate was excitedly watching as I held his ring into the air! Moving to shallower water, he immediately put it back on, closed his fist and headed for his camera!, along with saying how thankful he was that his ring would not be a permanent resident on the island.

The 7th Wave…..

….As a storm ended a water volleyball game near the edge of a sandbar last Sunday, Sen and his family made their way back to shore in their small watercraft. Upon exiting the boat he noticed his wedding ring missing. Making plans to meet today I was anxiously studying the weather reports. As I loaded my gear the sky was overcast and the wind was picking up. I enjoyed the scent of the lake and the cooling air as we sped towards the suspected location. Upon arriving I quickly noticed the difference in depth of the water. We jumped in and the cooling feel of the water energized and refreshed me. Thru my snorkel mask I could see the bottom quite well and as I started to grid search a few good size bluegill came over to check things out. Shoulder deep in the water it started to roll a bit with the increase in wind. 3 waves went over my head and even with my weight belt on I felt my feet lift from the sandy bottom. My metal detector sounded off on a few targets and they were all junk metal. Moving along the edge of the sandbar I was greeted with 3 more waves as I breathed thru my snorkel. Continuing my grid search I got a good sounding signal, and partially showing thru the sand I saw a silver colored object. Preparing to recover it I was hit once more with a 7th wave, so I took a deep breath and descended down to the object roughly 6 feet deep. Recognizing it as the ring I grabbed it and headed towards the surface. Swimming to where I could stand above water I quickly held up the ring and in excitement Sen moved towards me and was amazed that the ring was recovered! His Dad and brother saw the ring held in the air and steered the boat towards us. On the way back we enjoyed the cool breeze, adventure and success, riding the waves and laughing that it only took 7 waves to find it!
