Recovered this ring for a beach tagger that had lost the ring during her shift along the beach ramp entrance. Took about thirty seconds to locate the ring in the dry sand.

Heavy 10k MIT class ring Recovered!
Had a successful recovery yesterday afternoon. This MIT class ring was dropped in the ocean Wednesday afternoon. Recovered it today after about an hour a half search in chest deep, low tide water much to the relief of the client.
Platinum diamond wedding band RECOVERED!
I was tagged in a Facebook group post regarding a women that had lost her ring on the beach the previous day. After being contacted by the client I strongly recommended that we needed to search for this ring ASAP as items in the dry sand are far more vulnerable to being picked up by a freelance Detectorist during the summer months. I gathered some additional details & headed down to the beach to take a look. After about an hour or so of searching I was able to pick this beautiful platinum diamond band out of the sand around 10:45 PM.

Lost wedding ring in Jordanelle Utah Reservoir: Found
Have you ever heard of palladium jewelry? Palladium is a precious metal similar to platinum. John and his wife both have palladium wedding rings, but after playing with his daughter in the Jordanelle Reservoir, John realized his wedding band was gone. He contacted me and we arranged to meet at the reservoir. It took me about an hour, but fortunately I found his ring in about three feet of water! I love it when I can reunite someone with their precious ring!
Cardio workout nets mans wedding band
I got a call from my RingFinder partner, Dave Boyer, to help find a wedding band that Ryan S. lost in Lake Michigan. I jumped at the challenge until I got to North Point Park, Michigan. We walked a 1/4 mile to the dunes, up another 200 feet of beach sand and then down the other side of the dune about 400 feet to the water (cardio). After catching our breath from the climb up and down to the water, with our equipment, we got to work. The lake was very calm that day but very rocky bottom. Ryan explained that he was about waist deep and dove forward into deeper water and swam under water. When he dove under his ring came off, so the logical thing to do was grid search about 3 feet to 5 feet. We were in the water well over an hour and I just wore my swim suit and a shirt. I was getting very cold so decided to call it a day. We got several signals and found to dig any of them our steel scoops barely made a dent in the rocky bottom. Coming up with a few nails we decided to pack up and climb back up the hill. Instead of climbing back up the dune we saw 100 steps up to a cottage so up we went (cardio again). We discovered, that once we got up to the top we had to walk 1/2 mile to our car. Day 2 I contacted anther RingFinder partner Ryan Cole to help search the water again but this time I wore my wet suit and asked Ryan to bring his snorkel and mask. The water although rocky was crystal clear and calm. We repeated our steps from the day before (cardio again) and got to the water and started our search. I forgot to mention that the lake bottom was littered with hot rocks so there were false signals all over. I started deep again and Ryan went shallow using his mask from time to time. We were in the water about 45 minutes when the ring was found among different signals in knee deep water. Ryan S. became a very happy man once again and after rejoicing awhile we looked up at the sand dune and began to climb up (cardio again) and back to the car. I forgot to mention that this was the second time this year Ryan S. lost his ring it was found up North in another lake by another RingFinder, C. Raison.

The Ring Finders Metal Detecting Service helped Find and Return a Lost Gold wedding Ring at Solana Beach.
I got a Call from Todd who had lost his wedding band at the beach in dry sand the previous day.We met up later at 5pm and went over the details of when/where it may have fallen as we walked down to the beach. He did buy a Detector from Big 5 and tried looking for it himself but those cheap machines barely function on these Socal mineralized sands.
As soon as we got there are hopes sank because the beach was Packed and the exact spot where he had lost it…Was Occupied by a family With beach chairs,Towels etc.
I explained to Todd I may have to come back that evening or hope the crowds clear up??
I began searching around the Beach goers eliminating some of the possible places to search with no luck. Todd was 90% sure that it was lost exactly where I could not swing over so we asked a lady if she could move a couple chairs to recover his lost ring and the lady fortunately was very kind and understanding and said yes!
I searched under and around what I could but still wasn’t confident with out a full grid search. There was also a metal umbrella,Tonka toy’s giving off signal’s,Back packs and did not want to dissrupt them too much So I spent some time after searching other areas.Running out of luck We decided to try around the metal obstacles once more and as I was scanning,the husband must of heard what was going on and was helping move some other things for us to better search the area..Thankfully to this Nice family I was able to Find The gold ring just under the corner edge of a towel where a metal chair was.

Lost Gold and Platinum Ring Found in Fort Gratiot Michigan
One Of My “Hits” Went GOLD and PLATINUM!
Well, not musically speaking….lol but on this gorgeous 14k yellow gold and hammered platinum size 10 ring!
This new adventure got started with a call today from this nice lady who was on the beach making sand castles with her 7 y/o son.
The ring was left at home and they went back to get it.
It was her husbands and she put it on her thumb so they wouldn’t lose it. After resting on a blanket she got up and was brushing sand off their son and themselves when the ring came off. They also bought a 1980’s compass detector at a yard sale but only picked up nails in the area of where they thought the ring may be.
I enjoyed seeing that old compass detector it brought back memories of when I used those detectors back then. I set up my MXT and swept the area and got a few pulltabs then got a repeatable signal reading +47 and +52 at 0 depth and reaching down in the cool sand revealed this beautiful specimen!
Their son was excited about what a detector could do so I adjusted the compass detector so they can get the best performance when they take it out again.
Her smile tells the story and for now I will just have to keep working on my songwriting!

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring at Pyramid Rock Beach KMCB Hawaii…FOUND!!!
This ring find began when I got a Facebook message from Falon who lives on Kaneohe Marine Corps Base with her husband Jeremy. I responded and Falon called and explained to me that three of her rings fell into the dry sand at Pyramid Rock Beach and they were only able to find two of the three. I told Falon it was still early enough that I would shoot over to the base and hunt for her ring. She was ecstatic that I would come so fast. Falon’s husband Jeremy met me at the base McDonald’s and then drove down to the beach. Jeremy took me to the exact spot as we could still see the finger raking marks in the sand. It was pitch black but my head mounted light was plenty candle power. In less then one minute I got a great tone and their was Falon’s ring in the scoop. Jeremy couldn’t believe his eyes and was ready to rush home and show Falon. Aloha to Falon & Jeremy!
Lost ring in Cape Girardeau Mo.
Dillon lost his Damascus wedding band while playing in the back yard with his dog. The next day, I showed him how to use my Garrett GTA 350 detector and I used my Teknetics T2. He actually found the ring himself in a few minutes. I have had this happen before. Searching as a team can save time because the ring owner knows were to look. Dillon was not only pleased with having his ring back. He also enjoyed the pleasure of metal detecting.

Yesterday night I got a text from newlyweds Trisha & Paul regarding Paul’s lost wedding ring. They had been spending the day floating around in Tolt River, very close to where it merges with the Snoqualmie River in Carnation, WA.
At some point, Pauls’s new (to him) wedding ring slipped off in the strong current in chest high waters. The ring was his father’s and was a one of a kind gold nugget & 14k band with a diamond! Needless to say, they were distraught and searched until they were exhausted. Thankfully, they somehow found me online, texted me and we set up a meeting for Sunday morning.
I arrived, geared up in my fishing waders and chose one of my waterproof detectors for the hunt. We hiked from the parking lot for about 10 minutes, crossing the winding river in at least 2 locations. Hiking isn’t easy in waders! Once we arrived in the area, I began detecting the perimeter, testing the depth and current. It was very difficult detecting in such strong moving water, and I was doing all I could not to end up soaked! Once I got the hang of it, I began gridding and was coming up with no targets, aside from a bottle cap and a rock containing natural iron deposits.
I was getting tired and needed a break after about an hour of exhausting searching, but I decided to give it a little more, further down stream. I speculated that how fast the water was moving.. maybe the current pushed the ring further, as it fell, than they thought…
Some time later, I got a hit and had to move some good size rocks with my scoop, but could see a faint, ring-sized glimmer on the bottom! Minutes later, it was in my scoop and Paul & Trisha were very emotional as I told them I had done it! I have to admit, I felt emotional too… this was a hard hunt and it was exhausting to fight the current as long as I did. Especially since I was fighting a head cold!
We all celebrated on our hike back to the parking lot, and the newlyweds were super thankful they found me. I’m really glad they found me too! 😉
