Wedding Band Lost at Emerald Isle Beach Found Months Later and Returned

Mike contacted Crystal Coast Ring Finders on July 8th about a wedding ring he had lost on June 24th in the ocean. I grabbed my gear and went out to search the water, but the waves were rough that day, and I couldn’t find his ring. Since he had been near a public beach access point, I checked for his ring every time I searched that area of Emerald Isle, NC. Fast forward to August 13th and many failed attempts later—I was working the low tide during a negative tide. While finding the usual coins, sinkers, and aluminum, I hit a very strong signal. A guy on the beach later said, “I saw you stop dead in your tracks!” I dug into the wet sand while watching the crashing waves, and there it was—Mike’s lost ring! I told the bystander I’d been looking for it for months. I placed the ring on my sand scoop, took a picture with the background of where Mike thought he lost it, and sent it to him with the text, “Finally.” His reply: “That’s so awesome.”

Mike and I planned to meet during Labor Day weekend, but his trip to Emerald Isle got canceled, so I mailed the ring back to him. He just received it and sent me a picture of himself with the returned ring. It’s a great feeling to know you didn’t give up and were able to recover something meaningful—not just for yourself, but for someone else too.

Lost Wedding Set Found and Returned with Help

Jason Burleson, a member of The Ring Finders group, contacted me regarding a lost wedding set near Havelock, NC. Later, he informed me that he wasn’t feeling well and decided to refer the customers to Crystal Coast Ring Finders. After receiving the call from Josh and Patience, I headed out. Upon arrival, Josh marked the approximate location with a stick where they had set up earlier. After a few trash signals, my detector picked up a midrange target. Using only my pinpointer, I retrieved one ring from the sand and quickly located the second one about seven inches away. Josh and Patience rushed over when I showed them their recovered rings.

Lost Cell Phone (Iphone) Found and Returned by Crystal Coast Ring Finders

While on the beach searching for rings lost in the surf, I was able to recover an iphone that listed Kai’s contact information.  Since it was late that evening, I brought it back and cleaned it up and placed it on a charger.  The next morning I called the Emergency Contact number and Kai arrived shortly afterwards.  He mentioned the phone was lost the previous morning.  They were on their way back to Ohio and it was perfect timing they now had their phone to take with them.

Lost Wedding Band Dropped on the Beach Found and Returned by Crystal Coast Ring Finders

David shared that he had placed his phone and wedding ring in a beach bag before heading for a swim at Topsail Beach. He suspected that someone might have pulled an item from the bag, causing the ring to fall out. I arranged to meet David early the next morning to begin the search. After uncovering a few deep targets and two dimes, my XP metal detector gave a loud, solid signal outside the coin range. As David walked towards the water, I called out, “This looks promising.” Moments later, I retrieved David’s platinum wedding band from the sandy beach.

Grandfather’s Gold Wedding Band on a Gold Chain Found After Being Lost on North Topsail, NC Beach

Jon’s family arrived for a few days vacation and spent the morning enjoying the beach, waves, and weather. Jon took off his necklace, which held his late grandfather’s wedding band, and placed it on his lap. It wasn’t until they returned to their room that Jon realized his necklace was missing. That evening, Jon’s wife made a social media post hoping for its return, but I felt she revealed too much information about its location. I came across her post, sent her a private message, and reached out to her after some detective work. We connected quickly, and I headed to North Topsail Beach. Despite doubts about finding the necklace after 12 hours, I met Jon, who described the events of the day before heading back to his room. I began my search, and after a few passes, my machine picked up a non-ferrous signal. Using my pinpointer, I located the target, scooped into the sand, and uncovered the gold chain, pulling it from its sandy hiding spot.

Silver Ring Flies Off Finger and Becomes Lost in Sand – FOUND

Evan called Crystal Coast Ring Finders to locate a lost silver ring.  His family were out the tossing a small football when, during a throw,  Elise felt her sentimental ring fly from her finger.

Moments after arrival to the location, we discussed the general boundaries where they felt the ring would be retrieved for Elise.   I started my grid search and a strong 92 signal on my XP Deus II metal detector.   This was the type of signal I was expecting and after gently placing my hand deep in the sand I was able to scoop up a handful of sand with Elise’s lost ring.  The group was very surprised how quickly I found the missing ring.

Football Fling in Ocean Results in Lost Ring – Found and Returned

Adam’s wife shared a heartfelt plea on social media, asking for help in finding Adam’s wedding band, which had been lost in the water. By the time I had enough information to begin the search, they had already returned to Ohio. They estimated the ring was about 40-50 yards out from the beach, and my search confirmed they were right. After covering a span of five houses while water hunting, I finally hit a good signal. As I lifted my sand scoop from the waist-deep water and the sand sifted out, there it was—Adam’s ring nestled among a few shells. Some ladies watching my gear from the shoreline were amazed when I found it. Adam’s ring was one of two white gold wedding bands I recovered that day. I mailed his ring back to Ohio and waited for a photo of Adam with the ring back on his finger. Though Adam had some bad luck, falling ill after the vacation, he was healing when his son captured the moment of his dad wearing the ring again. I’m grateful to the family for trusting me to recover and return such a meaningful item!

Pictures From A Day At The Beach Leads To Lost Gold Wedding Band Being Found On Very Wide Beach

Anne messaged Crystal Coast Ring Finders. She explained she may have lost a gold ring on the beach. She removed her ring and placed it in a backpack. They used the backpack to bike ride a few miles up to a nearby park. The next morning, I met Anne very early and we proceeded to the location. Anne lost the ring two days prior and tried to locate the ring while raking the sand surface the day after she lost it. Upon arrival, I could still see where she searched and started my hunt over that area. Unfortunately, I did not find anything except a few pieces of garbage metal. I asked Anne if anyone took any pictures of the area and this was the key to figure out exactly where they had set up during the beach visit. I began searching more to the Southwest. My XP Deus II locked onto a very loud signal. Seconds later, Anne’s custom made green gold wedding band was back in the sunlight.

Steve was spending some time in the ocean during a typical hot Summer North Carolina day. He mentioned he was swimming in about chest deep waters, jumping in the waves.  A large wave hit him and he felt his ring was gone!

Steve called me just after low tide that same day and I arrived the following day to search.  I found another man’s white gold band, in the ocean, a few miles away about an hour before.  I started my search parallel with the shoreline working my way out into the deeper water.  After finding nothing but a couple of pieces of trash, I started a vertical search.  After just a couple of passes, I got a good signal.  I was disappointed when I dug up a pop can tab.  A few steps later in the water, my machine displayed the very same target identification.  This time it was Stephen’s white gold wedding band!  I walked to shore and took some pictures.  Steve was about to go out with family for pizza and I sent him the photo thinking they had already left.  A large number of family members and Steve and his wife poured out onto the beach with surprise and joy!

Two Very Important Lost Rings Found After Kids Day At The Beach

I was taking advantage of the calm Atlantic Ocean waves by metal detecting the waist deep waters of Emerald Isle, NC.  My phone, in it’s waterproof case, rang and I came out of the water to return the call.  Jeff informed me his wife Kim had lost 2 of her rings on the beach about an hour away from my current location.  I told Jeff I would load up the truck and head that way as soon as possible.

Upon arrival, Kim & Jeff informed me she was spending the day at the beach and removed her rings to apply sunscreen to the kids.  She became distracted and wasn’t sure where she placed them but feels they were on the beach blanket.  It wasn’t until she returned home to shower that she noticed her rings were missing.  Kim went back to the location and tried to search and found the area (because of a dead crab nearby).   Kim was unable to dig out the rings from the sand.  Marking the location was very important as I started to grid search the area and after one pass, I turned to start a second search line, and my metal detector sounded off very loudly.  I looked up at Jeff & Kim and smiled.  I was almost certain I had found them under the sand.  My pinpointer confirmed the location and I used my hand to scoop the rings to the surface.   Kim came a running after spotting the large cigar style ring.
