Diamond ring lost on soccer field in Surrey BC.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

This story is about a lady who called me and was very upset about losing her diamond ring that was given to her by her mother.
Every time I get a call for ”Finders” I get excited about the chance of helping find someone’s ring for them.

Some searches are harder then others and you really don’t know how long it will take until you find it or not. This search was going to be a difficult because after talking to her on the phone she told me that the ring could be lost anywhere on two soccer fields.

When I met up with her at the park she walked over to a part of the field where she was watching one of her kids who was playing soccer. She said that she watched the game for a while and half way through that game she walked her other child to another field for a game.

Throughout the day she was back and forth watching both games and some where in that park the ring fell off into the grass, the question now was… where?

I decided to start my search in the area that she took me to first. That proved to be a good starting point as 15 minutes later I found the ring… I think she was as shocked as I was that the ring was found so fast!…The smile tells you the rest!

Lost…White gold diamond ring/ A gift from her late Grandmother/ Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

This ring search was for a young lady who lost the white gold diamond ring that was given to her by her late Grandmother.

While cleaning her balcony she threw a few things down to the ground below to pick up and throw away later. This is when she felt her ring come off and land some where in the grass below.

I listened to her story and it was pretty cut and dry in my mind that the ring would be in the grass close to the items that she threw to the ground.

I started my grid search in this relatively small area of her back yard and after 1 hour and no ring I had to re-think the situation. This should be easy I thought to myself… but why haven’t I found it?

My only thought was that the ring flew over the fence and landed in the neighbors yard, when I suggested we ask her neighbor if we could search her back yard for the ring, she didn’t think it was possible that it ended up there, but she agreed.

After a short time in the neighbors yard the ring was found and the smile was in full view!
“Flick Factor” I believe we never stop learning and life is exciting with the possibilities that await us in every challenge we meet.

Gold Ring lost at Surrey Golf Course…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

This story begins with a call in regards to a lost ring at a Surrey golf course, the lady tells me that the ring was lost in the pond on the golf course.

She was part of the team building the golf course and on a hot summers day, she decides takes a dip in the pond. When she gets out of the water and starts to dry off she notices that her gold band with a small diamond is missing.

Heart broken, she knows that there’s no way to find the lost ring in the pond. A few days later she sees the story about ”Finders” jewellery recovery service in the local newspaper.

She reads the story and calls to see if I can help her, she tells me that the ring is lost in a pond around 10 feet deep.

I tell her that I’d have to hire a diver as I only work chest deep of water. A friend of my who was a diver and treasure hunter agreed to take a look for the ring.

We all meet at the golf course the next day and as my friend was suiting up to do his dive, I walked to where the lady entered and exited the water and I decided to do a search on the dry sand.

I start to search and she tells me that the ring was lost in the water, I know that I tell her but I want to make sure before my friend gets into the water that its not on dry land. Really I just wanted to metal detect and see if there was anything there, and to our surprise there was…Her diamond ring!

I found her ring in the dry sand around the edge of the pond, my diver wasn’t fully dressed and I held up the ring to show him. We both had a good laugh.

Lost… Large gold ruby ring at a duck pond in Langley BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

He lost his large ruby & diamond ring at a duck pond in Langley, he like most others searched for hours trying to find the ring but the very long weeds and muddy ground made it impossible to find.

It laid hidden for a few weeks until the man came across my flyer at the beach for my Finders company and called me, we met… and the search was on.

It was muddy and the weeds were hard to search through but he knew the area it was lost in and it was just a matter of time, a little over an hour and I found his heavy gold ruby ring.

If you are reading this and you’ve lost something and have a good idea where… Call me and I’d be happy to help find it for you!

Chilliwack Gold on the side of the road! Lost ring… Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Here’s a story about a very large gold dinner ring with 17 diamonds that was lost near the side of the road by a golf course in Chilliwack.

I get a call from a lady who was very upset that her husband lost her beautiful diamond dinner ring some where at a golf course in Chilliwack.

She tells me that her and her husband parked by the side of the road and jumped over the fence to play a round of golf. She gave him the ring for safe keeping.

When they got back to their car the ring that she gave her husband was missing from his jean pocket. Panic set in and the next day they rented a metal detector and searched the area that they were parked at for close to 7 hours.

Someone had seen them and asked what they were doing, they replied looking for a diamond ring. The people said if you don’t find it there’s a person that was in the paper who is a professional at finding lost jewellery for people and gave them the number.

They called me and I was excited to search for the ring but because I was working in the film industry I couldn’t get out there till after 12 am as it was a hour and a half drive to Chilliwack.

I could tell she was put off by this so I explained my situation and told her that I could find her ring in the dark so she agreed to meet me.

I arrived after midnight and her and her husband greeted me and we discussed the search area. She said that I didn’t have to search the area where they had parked as they had spent close to 7 hours searching that area with a rented metal detector.

They said that it must have been lost on the golf course, I thought for a second and told them that I wanted to search the area where they had parked as that made the most sense as he would have reached into his pocket to get the keys.

Within 4 minutes I was holding a beautiful big diamond rind…17 diamonds! Before I know it I was being hugged by both husband & wife. They told me that the insurance company had written a check for $6000. but she wanted the ring back! I’m sure the insurance company was happy that ring was found! They refunded her back the reward money that she paid me.

Diamond & Ruby Ring lost at Bowen Island

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

This lady in this picture lost her beautiful ruby & diamond ring in the mud and water while walking on a wooden dock along side a lake at Bowen Island. I took the ferry and met her on the Island the next day and she showed me the area the ring fell off into the mud.

This was a tough search as it was deep and thick mud, my only hope was that the ring didn’t make its way down to the bottom. I started my search by lying on the dock at the edge and slowly moving the loop of my metal detector left and right and sliding down the dock inches at a time.

I was hoping to get a signal but it wasn’t looking good as the area I was searching was not the area she thought she lost it at as I worked my way down the dock on my mud grid search.

I had to push hard to get my loop further down then reach my arm down to my loop to make it flat then search, then after 30 minutes I heard the sound I was hoping to hear… I put my scoop down into the mud and after the thirdattempt I was looking at her very muddy ruby ring!

After washing it and giving it back to her, well the smile tells the story!

Diamond Ring for her 16th Birthday…Lost at Kits Beach, Vancouver.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

A few years back I get a call from a young lady who lost her diamond ring that was given to her on her 16th birthday from her parents.

She was at the beach in Vancouver (Kits Beach) enjoying the hot summers day and playing some volleyball, after the game she sat down and had a drink of water and shortly after realized that her ring was gone.

When I arrived at the beach she showed me the area that she was playing volleyball, it was a makeshift area that they made so they could play as the courts were full. It was getting dark and I didn’t think it would be to hard of a search as she thought she knew the area it was lost in. I started my search and after an hour and a half no ring.

The reason was the area was full of metal, parts of tin cans and nails all kinds of crap! I packed it up and told her that I’d be back in the morning before I went to work.

Early the next morning I could see where I left off and continued my grid search. I had to dig everything as it was so full of garbage and I didn’t want to miss it, after another hour and a half I started to think that the ring wasn’t there, and then bang! There it was, in my sand scoop! I called the owner and told her that I found the ring and she and her parents were very grateful.

Lost Bling on Kits Beach Vancouver!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call one summer’s night from a young lady that lost her gold heart shaped diamond pendent at the beach while she was playing volleyball.

It was dark out by the time I arrived at Kits Beach in Vancouver, that doesn’t matter to me as I’ve spent many a night searching the beaches.

We meet and discuss the area that she believed the pendent came off, I start my grid search and within 10 minutes I found the heart shaped diamond Bling!

For some reason I was thinking small… When it was in my sand scoop it was huge! You can tell by the smile that she was happy to get it back.

This was a simple search due to the size of the pendent, if it was a smaller size it would of taken a little longer to find.
